A/N: Hello, my lovely and beautiful readers!
This took a while. I totally underestimated how much studying there was with university. I'm not even kidding when I say I have at least one book with at least 250 pages plus several questions to answer a week! I've been swimming with books.
This is the very last chapter. I hope you all enjoy it as much as possible!
I'd like to thank every soul that has read this story, doesn't matter if you have reviewed or not. It makes me incredibly happy to know that people have read this story at all. It started out as something so impulsive and ended as something so beautiful. At least to me. I love this story and I love Taiden.
I think this was the best ending I could give them and I seriously hope you like it.
Much love and read away one last time,
Wikked.
When I woke up it was so bright, I could barely see anything at all. I sat up and looked around, squinting my eyes. What is this place?
When my eyes began to get used to the brightness I saw the beautiful park, benches, trees and a lake surrounding me. This didn't feel like Bacon Hills... Wait, what even happened? I can barely remember anything at all...
I got up to my feet and looked around me more clearly, I started walking along the trees when suddenly I saw someone with long, blonde and curly hair. She had a leather jacket on and seemed to be laughing with a big guy...
"Erica?" I called and started walking faster towards her. The girl turned around and looked surprised to see me. Is this a dream? Erica's dead right?
"Tara? Oh no, tell me you aren't here..." she said and walked up to me.
She gave me a big hug and let me go after what felt like minutes.
"What do you mean 'oh no'? Do you want to avoid me that bad?" I joked.
"No... That's not it at all," she said seriously. Clearly not having the joke.
"Boyd, hey!" I said after a moment of silence. "How are you?" I said and hugged him.
"I'm fine," he said quietly. Something wasn't right, there was this mood, like they were afraid to tell me something.
Before anything else could be said I heard someone coming, from behind the trees another person walked out.
OoOoOoOoOoOoO
"Aiden!" I screamed from the top of my lungs.
I saw what was about to happen, he was going to be hit by that sword, he was going to die. No! I can't, he can't! I can't do this without him!
Without really thinking I ran towards him and the oni. The sword was just about to hit him when I stopped in front of him, hoping somehow to save him.
I could feel the sword slide through my body, slashing vital organs within me. I had never felt anything like it, the pain was unimaginable. I could feel myself dying but that wasn't all, I could feel that someone behind me was hit with the blade as well. We were standing so tight together, pierced with the same deadly blade.
I grasped the hand that belonged to the boy behind me, the boy I loved more than my own life, and drifted away from the life I knew.
OoOoOoOoOoOoO
"Aiden?" I whispered when I saw him. I felt so confused over what I had just remembered and so happy about seeing him.
"Tara?" he said and ran up to me, we embraced each other and I squeezed him as hard as my arms would allow. "Where are we?" he asked after we let go.
"Wrong question," Boyd said and looked at us.
"What are we?" I asked hesitantly, already knowing the answer.
"Dead, you're dead," Erica said sadly.
Neither one of us said much the next minutes. Or heck, how would I know? Does time even past here? Either way it felt like minutes.
Oh god, my parents! What explaination would they get?! How would they survive this?! These questions popped up into my head, strangely, I was calmer about this than I should be. How was that possible?
"So what is this place?" Aiden asked, clearly overwhelmed.
"We don't know, we kind of just ended up here too," Boyd said to us and looked rather sad.
"So what, we just live here in peace now? Like some sort of heaven?" I asked, not really believing, yet, kind of hoping.
"As far as we know, yeah," Erica said and smiled. "It's actually really nice, no enemies, no pain..." she trailed off.
"Come on, we'll show you two around," Boyd said and began walking and guiding us through this beautiful park or what ever it was.
Eventually we stopped at a clearing with lots of beautiful flowers. We looked around when I saw someone else. A familiar face, someone I knew. I looked at her and remembered what I had found out happened minutes before my death,
"Allison?" I whispered.
"Tara?" she whispered back and I ran up to her.
"Oh, I'm so sorry!" I said and began crying. This sucked, how many of us died?
"Allison... We... We are dead. This is some sort of after life," I explained cautiously and looked at her."It would seem you, me and Aiden all died today and we meet up with Erica and Boyd," I said and gestured to the others.
"I know... Well, I didn't know but I guessed it," she said and looked at me with a shockingly calm face
"Apparently, it's really peaceful here..." I said, trying to come to terms with the sudden change.
For some reason none of us still weren't freaking out. It was like we were automatically happy, calm and at peace with this.
I took Allison's hand and brought her closer to the others.
Aiden put an arm around my shoulder as soon as I had let Allison go and looked at me. I looked up to him and smiled. He kissed me tenderly and put his forehead against mine.
"I think this could actually be really nice," he whispered and smiled.
"Me too."
The end.
