So sorry about taking so long to update, I was a little busy with some exams and totally forgot.

I do not own magi or its characters.

Chapter 29: Leaving Sindria

Alya traveled down the long hallway, listening to Alibaba as he explained to her in confusion just how big the pirate children had gotten. Had they grown? Well I suppose they are no longer children… but I guess I'm just used to them since I was there as they grew.

After the Medium had been vanquished, everyone returned home as if nothing had happened. In fact, Sindria had yet another celebration afterwards. During their absences they were often praised, Aladdin by Yamraiha and Alibaba by Olba, Brigit, and the rest of their gang. Alya had become curious and had hoped to learn more about Aladdin and Alibaba. Unfortunately she was greatly let down by Alibaba who, during the celebration, lied. It was just a petty lie too. Why would anyone care if he had a girlfriend or not? The rest of that conversation had been gibberish, unknown meaning behind them. When Alya asked Sinbad, he refused to explain.

And here she was now, being followed by that lying man. "Alibaba…" Alya spoke up finally.

Alibaba stopped and looked at her. "Huh?"

"I understand everyone else may be a bit busy with work so you may be feeling alone, but I suggest to speak with others who can appreciate your company more. I'm afraid I'm rather too tired right now to keep up. Perhaps you should go find Olba?" Alya bluntly said, not even looking back at him as she continued down the hall. She didn't hear his footsteps behind her anymore. Perhaps she had spoken out of line? With a sigh, she continued without him. He had brought it on himself… She barely knew him so why had he been sticking to her for the past two hours?

"Now what should I do?" she asked herself. While she had slowly grown annoyed of Alibaba's company she hadn't realized how boring it would be with no one to talk to. After an hour or so of walking, she looked out to the garden, feeling loneliness deep within herself. "Judal…" she breathed before turning around. Maybe I should go apologize after all.

But where had he gone? She had returned to the spot where she had left him but he was no longer there. Perhaps this was the perfect chance to do something she had always wanted to try. Reaching out to the flow of Rukh around her, she felt for Alibaba's Rukh. There he is! Without even seeing where she was going, she followed a path that led her to a door.

Alya's hand froze on the door handle just before she opened it. "An invitation letter came from Kouen Ren?" Alibaba's voice came from inside.

Alya stood at the door, listening as the situation was explained by Sinbad to the group. "Balbadd…" Wasn't that the last place she had been with Judal? Maybe… just maybe… If she returned there, Judal would come for her quicker. But what about her brother. Could she separate from him, from the country that she had begun to care for? Would he allow her to? Only one way to find out. She threw the door open. "Allow me to accompany Alibaba to Balbadd!"

After hours of arguing with her brother, she had finally worn him down. "I will go as a representative of Sindria. My presence would be far more powerful than Alibaba who is only a temporary refugee! Besides, I am far more accustomed to Kou customs."

"But…"

"I will not be in any danger," Alya countered for the tenth time. Sinbad seemed to only have that danger argument left and no matter how many times she told him that she would be safe, he would repeat it. What could she say to convince him? "I… As Sindria's representative, Prince Kouen would not harm me as it would mean war with the Seven Seas Alliance, would it not?" She smiled when she saw the changed look in Sinbad's eyes. Being able to watch the meetings between him and the generals had really educated her on governing and politics. She still wasn't the best at this, but she was no longer a peasant in mind. She WAS the princess.

Sinbad had relented and the day was finally here. She stood before the ship that would transport her to Balbadd-to the Kou empire.

"Just remember this," Sinbad began. "No matter how long you were a servant to the Kou empire, you are now the Princess of Sindria. You are of equal footing with Kouen Ren."

Alya nodded.

"Be careful, and return back to us safely." Sinbad looked torn, still not sure if allowing her to go was the right decision. She had been so adamant about it, but why?

Alya couldn't bring herself to nod to this new instruction. She would be careful… but what would she do if Judal asked her to stay? She looked back at the town just in front of her. Would she ever see it again? "I'll see you later," she told her brother instead.

Alya's is heading back to here her adventure started. What awaits her return? Who knows? I know but why would I spoil it? :)

Jemstone6259: Well judal is possessive of course. In his mind, Alya is his servant which is the same as his property. And he wasn't mad that she wasn't in a pure place. Sorry that part may have been a little confusing. I put it in there on a whim. I was playing on the fact that Judal is basically corrupt, he uses both black and white Rukh. In his character song, he is the "Black Sun." Alya, on the other hand, is uncorrupt and surrounded by light. Even her body couldn't handle the high amount of black Rukh earlier on which was the reason for her fever
