Chapter 34
"Erica gets in here."
"Yes sir."
"I need you to call General Callaghan for me. It's urgent. I also need you to arrange transportation for me to go to Toronto and I would take two Special Forces teams with me. I understand there is one over there already."
"Yes sir, right away."
"Wait, also alert the governor of Toronto that we are under level one threat. And we need to meet this afternoon to come up with a safety plan. And last get commander Holleran from the SRU and Mitchell from the terrorist unit to join us too."
"Yes sir." She said and walks out. I gather all my paper and codes and make arrangement to leave. A few minute later the phone rang.
"General Braddock."
"Samuel is Nathan, what is going on?"
"Nathan we are under level one threat. It's headed for the city. We not sure where it going to happen, but we have positive Intel that something would happen. I am on my way there now, with two teams and there one over there already, arranges it for you to meet them. I also contacted the governor so we could have a private meeting without alerting the wrong people. We need to contain this or it would get out of hands before it even start."
"I am on it. I would get the other team here and find a private place for everyone to meet. I would also have my assistance arrange for you to stay on the same hotel and we could make things easier."
"Fine. See you in a few hours." I said and with that I hung up and left my office.
SRU Headquarters
"Good morning Winnie."
"Hey Jules, how are you holding up?"
"I am alright, thank you."
"If you need anyone to talk, I am here for you."
"Thank you."
"Jules I have to say this. My conscious is killing me."
"What? What is going on?"
"I am just going to say it straight out. I had a crush on Sam. I didn't know he was your husband. I am sorry." Winnie said and pale at Jules frowns. Then Jules started laughing until tears came down her eyes.
"What going?" Ed said with team one behind him.
"Jules." Spike said.
"Um." She started but she couldn't stop laughing.
"Winnie." Greg said and she turns red.
"I told her that I had a crush on Sam, her husband." Winnie said and tries her best to hide her flush face from the embarrassment.
"Oh." Greg said and didn't know how to answer.
"Then why is she laughing?" Spike ask confuse and everyone shake they head in confuse. Then she calm down.
"I am sorry Winnie I didn't mean to laugh. It was the fact that you thought it was something so serious. I never imagine it was that. I am not mad, the man is gorgeous, and I even have a crush on him too." Jules said and wink at her for reassurance.
"Are you sure?" Winnie asked.
"I am sure. Plus you didn't even know. So don't worry. But if you make a move on him now, than we do have a problem." Jules said with a glare and Winnie swallows slowly.
"You're joking right?" Lou asked.
"Do I look like I am joking?" Jules said and walks away to change.
"She is not joking." Ed said and everyone else nod.
"Way to start the day." Greg said and continues to the locker room to change.
Military Base
"Why is it that she always on top him."
"Charlie can you please leave Andrea alone. She has a right to talk to him."
"I don't like her Michael. She knows he is married she shouldn't be on top of him like that."
"And what about you?" Michael said and winces.
"What about me?" Charlie asked angrily.
"I just keep thinking about why you two are so close."
"You want to know. You don't trust me anymore." Charlie said angrily. "Here it is. Sam and I are…"
"Excuse me." A soldier interrupts them.
"Yes." Charlie snaps at the soldier.
"General Callaghan is looking for you guys." He said and everyone look at each other.
"We'll be right there. Thanks." Michael said and the team started to follow him. Sam and Charlie walk at the back to try and talk to each other.
"You think this is about Jules?"
"No I don't think so; he wouldn't bring the entire team to talk about my marriage with Jules. This is something else."
"You are right. I wasn't thinking."
"What is wrong Charlie?"
"Nothing." She said and with that they met up with General Callaghan.
"Good morning everyone, we have a situation in our hands right now. So far Intel suggests there is a major threat coming to the city. We don't know anything else. General Braddock is arriving this afternoon to meet up with the high ranking official to come up with plans. Our job is to look for a secure location for everyone to meet and also make sure that it stays quiet."
"Yes sir." Everyone said.
"Alright let get to work." General Callaghan said and with that everyone went to work.
SRU Headquarters
"Hey, Winnie how long for the end of shift?" Lou asked.
"You guys have twenty minutes."
"I can't wait." Spike said.
"Why are you guys complaining, we didn't work yesterday." Ed said.
"Yes but we still want to go. It has being slow morning." Lou said.
"Hey Jules, did you hear anything from Sam after we all left yesterday?" Wordy asked.
"No. You know he won't show up, until he's ready."
"Well we just had hoped that he changes his mind."
"Don't we all." Jules said.
"It would be alright." Greg said and with that everyone nod and continue with the assignments. Team one had five minutes left when commander Holleran stop them.
"Guys I need a favor. I know you guys are about to be off the clock, but I need you guys in overtime today. The rest of the team would cover the headquarters while we go to a seminar."
"A seminar. Why?" Spike said voicing everyone else frustration. The last thing anyone need what to sit around in a boring seminar.
"I don't know yet, when we get there we would find out what it is about."
"Ok." Everyone said and with that they got in the car and head to the location. In the car they made phones call to their families to make sure they knew they won't be home early.
When team one arrive to their destination, they notice that there were other teams from different department of the government. There was a fire truck, an ambulance, the police commissioner, the FBI and terrorist unit and last the military.
"This looks serious." Spike said.
"This is not good." Jules said.
"Why you said that?" Lou asked.
"We under threat, that the only reason we would have to meet private and be only on what we need to know basic. They would make it a procedure and explain the chain of command if something ever happen." Jules said.
"She's right. I have the same feeling. So let go and find out what is going on." Holleran said and with that they all went in. The place happens to be a High School. School didn't started until the following week so it was easier to have a meeting where no one suspected that all of the high ranking official would meet. As they enter the building, Holleran was led to a room while the team was led to another.
"You think Sam is here?" Lou asked.
"If he back on Special Forces, then maybe, but I bet my father is here and so is his."
"You mean General Braddock?" Spike said.
"Yeah, if this is this big, he would be here."
When the team walks in to the auditorium, they notice that each department was separate into they own group. Everyone was keeping to themselves but you could see the worried and confusion on their faces. Team one sat on the back and make sure they had a clear view of everyone.
"Hey Jules isn't that Sam team?" Spike asked.
"It looks like it, but I don't see Sam." Lou said.
"There he is." Jules said and everyone turn around to look at her and notice she was facing the opposite way. They were staring at each other. It was like the room disappear and they were the only two standing behind. Then he turns and walks toward his group with Charlie on his heel.
"There she goes again." Jules murmur.
"Should we approach them?" Wordy asked.
"No. Let just wait this out." Greg said and then someone came in and got the room quiet.
"Can I have your attention please?" He said and waited for everyone to be quiet. "I know you guys a curious and worried about what going on. But I could assure you, that this is mostly procedure. If something risky that need it to be inform we would have let you guys know already. You guys are here; because a few times a year we like to hold this seminar to refresh everyone minds about team work and also how to stay focus in a risky and volatile situation. Everyone here is the best in their department and at some point everyone here had crosses each other in the line of work. Like any person, sometimes we clash with other departments and we try to prove ourselves better than everyone. And at the same time we also make sure that we all work together to protect the city. And today we going to learn and establish a chain of command to help us to keep order." The guy said and continues talking about how to work in team work.
"I wonder why they keep insisting about team work, and chain of command." Spike said more to himself than anyone.
"I told you, we under threat." Jules said.
"Well I thought you just assumed." Spike said.
"No, I had being here before. Something is happening, and they don't want us to know yet, to avoid panic. That why this seminar and while we do this, all the high ranking official are meeting in another room. We have terrorist threating us." Jules said.
"She is right." Greg said and sighs while Ed nod. They had both being through this before and it always turns out to be right. The guy continue talking, until he said they could get a break and go the cafeteria were they help refreshment for everyone.
"They really know how to play along. Make it a real seminar and all." Spike said to Donna.
"It is a real seminar." Ed said and sighs.
"Oh." Donna, Spike and Lou said, while everyone else shakes they head in disbelief. After that they walk downstairs. In the cafeteria people were talking to each other and enjoying the food.
"Hey Jules, there is a guy staring at you." Spike said and everyone turn to see who it was.
"Oh my god, Steve." Jules said. He smile at her and walk toward her.
"Jules."
"Hi, Steve." She said and they hug. The team watches them and then simultaneously everyone turn to watch if Sam was watching them. They notice that he was, but they couldn't tell if he was mad or not.
"How you been? How are the kids?"
"We are good and you?"
"I am better now. Just move here and now I am working as a paramedic."
"I am glad you're good. Hey this is my team." Jules said and introduce everyone.
"We need to catch up like old time." Steve said.
"Yes we do."
"You won't believe who is my partner." Steve said.
"Who?" Jules said and then notice the guy behind him.
"Hey, Jules."
"No, it can't be. Curtis." Jules said.
"Yeah."
"Whoa, it is a small world. How you been?"
"I am good. And you? You look amazing." He said and looks at her up and down. "Did you finally marry Sam?"
"Yes I did." She said and turns to look at Sam who was staring at them. Curtis and Steve also did the same.
"He actually joined." Curtis said.
"Yes he did." Jules said but didn't say anything further. "How about you, do you have any family?"
"Oh yes, I am married and have two girls."
"That nice I am happy for you."
"Thank you that mean a lot to me." Curtis said.
"Alright Jules, see you later, call you in the week to hang out and to see the kids." Steve said.
"Thanks Steve, see you soon." Jules said and with that she watch both of them walk away. The team grabs something to eat and mingle with everyone. At the end no one could take it anymore and made their way toward Sam group.
"Hi, Sam." Greg said.
"Hey, boss. This is my unit." Sam said and introduces everyone to team one.
"We miss you, Braddock." Ed said trying to release some of the tension.
"I do too." Sam said and looks at Jules.
"Hey he is ours; we miss him too, for those three months." Andrea said and put her hand on Sam, indicating that they were more than friends. It was subtle, but everyone caught it. Jules glare at her and Michael grab Charlie arm so she won't punch her.
"Well you could keep him." Jules said and walk away. They notice she walk out the cafeteria, maybe to the bathroom or something.
"Excuses me." Sam said and follows Jules out. Everyone just watch them go.
"Why the hell you did that." Charlie snaps.
"Charlie." Michael said and sighs.
"No, Michael she's right. Andrea keeps crossing the line, she always on top of him." Melissa said.
"Bite me Mel. You don't said anything when is the two of them." Andrea snaps too and then the team realizes that team one was still standing there.
"Sorry." Michael said.
"It's alright." Greg said.
"How about we compare embarrassing stories about Sam." Spike said and everyone was relief. Leave it to Spike to find something to relieve the tension. Plus it was a great opportunity to get to know each other and try to help. They all continue talking, but Charlie was in her own thoughts and Greg and Ed notice. They excuse themselves to grab something to drink and Charlie offer to go with them.
"What wrong Charlie?" Greg asked.
"Nothing."
"You worried and piss off." Ed said.
"Well, yeah. I am can't stand her."
"She is your teammate." Greg said.
"And I never trusted her. I am sorry, I know I shouldn't being saying that, but I don't like the bitch. There something about her, I can't put my finger on."
"Charlie I know you don't know us very much or trust us, but we want to help." Greg said.
"That the thing, I do trust you guys. Your team is not a threat to us, well to him. But I can't say more. We would get through this. And I would ask for your help if things seem like we can't control it. All I am asking is to protect them. Keep his family safe and I promise I would do anything in my power to help him fix this. To get him back to his family."
"Fair enough. We won't ask question, but promise us that if you need help, you would come to us." Greg said.
"I promise." Charlie said and with that they walk back to the team and continue talking about Sam and his adventures with both teams. While Greg and Ed felt they have come to an agreement with Charlie and they knew that with time they would all work together to help Sam and Jules.
Jules was piss. How dare the woman touch her husband? And on top of that, how dare him, let her.
"Oh Sammy, I am tire of the bullshit." Jules groan aloud.
"Jules stop." Sam said from behind her and she rush to the stairs. They made it to the stairwell before Sam grab her and push her to the wall and kissed her with everything he had. Her mouth opens in surprise and he slips his tongue inside and had her moaning.
Sam pulls away, leaving Jules panting and grinning up at him.
"Not here." Sam said and grabs her hand and rush downstairs to find a quiet room. Jules try to keep up and also try to hold her giggles, so no one would hear them. When he stop at the door, with her free hand she ran it down his back making him shudder and when she grab his butt he jump.
"Wait." He told her, but smirk at her impatience.
"I can't." She pouts and he took the moment to kiss her hard in the mouth again. After that he check the hallway to make sure no one was there. He pushes her out and opens the first door that was available. It looks it like the guide counselor office of something.
"Sammy you sure…" Jules started but was cut off by him biting her neck. Her mind went blank and she forgot what she was going too asked.
Sam manages to remove her shirt, her pants and underwear while kissing her.
"Sammy I need you inside me." Jules panted and when to grab his pants to remove it from him. He beat her to it and removes his pants and underwear freeing himself. He wasted no time and picks her up and slams into her. Jules couldn't help to let out a cry of surprised pain, mingle with pleasure. They heard foot step outside and Sam kiss Jules hard when Jules was about to moan from the pleasure that she was receiving every time Sam thrust into her. She bit his lips and urges him to go harder while digging her nails on his shoulders. So Sam thrust harder, almost slamming her to the wall behind her. He lifts her leg a little higher for a better angle, causing Jules mouth's to open in a 'O' pleasure. She tight her leg on his waist and he continue his deep and hard thrust. When he felt her tighten on him he knew that she was going to come. But in the back of his mind he registered someone calling both of they name. But it was too late to stop.
"Bite down." He said and offers his shoulder. She came hard and bites him harder and he came inside her while burying his face on her neck. They stood like that for a few minutes, but it felt like forever.
"Sammy." Jules said when she was able to recover. He helps her down and holds her while she found her balance. He stared at her. Her eyes were sleepy and glowing. Her face was flush and her hair was a mess.
"You're beautiful." He said and kisses her swollen lips one more time.
"I love you Sammy."
"I love you too. We have to go." He said and with one last look on each other they walk out the room. They had reached the upstairs when both team found them.
"We have being looking for you guys." Andrea said and Jules glare at her.
"Well we need it to talk. And your problem is." Jules snap and remember the reason she walked away in the first place.
"The meeting is over guys." Greg said trying his best to be the peacemaker here.
"Sam, General Braddock needs us." Charlie said and gave Jules an apologetic smile.
"Oh ok." Sam said and stared at everyone.
"Sam, you and Charlie go, I wait behind for you guys, and the rest could go." Michael said and his team agrees. They said they goodbyes and left.
"Bitch." Charlie said and Michael and Sam glare while team one look surprise and confuse and Jules smiles.
"Slut." Jules said and started to walk toward the door, with Charlie next her, while they continue to talk about Andrea.
"Well, I didn't see the coming." Sam said staring at both Charlie and Jules and everyone laugh.
"Good luck with your ladies, Samtastic. You are going to need it." Ed said and with that they watch Sam, Charlie and Michael go the opposite direction. Then they met up with Holleran outside and head it for they trucks.
On the way back the team couldn't take it anymore and asked Holleran what is going on.
"Sir are we in danger?" Greg asked.
"Look guys, I am going to be honest. I am not supposed too, but I trust you guys. There a threat coming to the city. We don't have enough information about what, when or where, but the military is positive that it going to happen here. They are working on getting the information to eliminate the threats. Right now there is nothing to do, we just treat this like a regular day and go from there. When I have more information and I am allowed to inform you guys more, you guys would be the first one to know. But I have to warned you, this things don't give warning they just happen when we least expect it so let just keep our eyes open and do our jobs and keep everyone safe."
"Yes sir." Everyone said and with that went to change so they could go home. They couldn't wait to be with their family.
Back in the High School
"I need you both in Afghanistan. We have information that the threat is coming from there. I need you two to get it so we could avoid the disaster that it coming."
"Yes sir."
"It a classified mission and only you two would go and report to me. And I am warning you guys that if anything goes wrong, we are not going to send no one after you guys. We can't afford to lose people if you two don't complete your mission."
"Yes sir. When do we leave?"
"In an hour, everything is ready. Just get whatever you need and go straight to the base."
"Yes sir." They both said and where about to leave when he stops them.
"Be careful; make sure the both of you come back." He said and they both look at him shock. Then they walk out in silence.
"Whoa Sam, that was weird."
"I know right. It seems like General Braddock show some concern. We'll let get Michael and go to your house and get our stuff. We leave as soon as we can."
"You not going to stop and said bye to Jules and the kids. This could be dangerous."
"Charlie we don't have time. Plus I don't want to put them through that."
"I know what you mean. I hate having to go on separate mission without Michael." Charlie said and with that they head home. They got ready and Michael drove them to base. And in few minutes they were on board of a plane and on the way to Afghanistan.
Late at night someone receive a phone call.
"What the hell happen? Why was Jules upset?"
"How you know she was upset?"
"Don't ask me question." The person snaps.
"Well she weird I don't know."
"You're lying, I know you lying. I saw her and she disappear for a while, and so did he."
"You were there? You are here already?" The person asked and the other person just hangs up.
