A big thank you to Just a Cadbury, Rina Dragonfly, Anime lover, Hortenseyounka, MiharuOftheWhitesea and all silent readers!
Just a Cadbury – Haha it'll be one of those things were if more than one person want it I'll do it.
Rina Dragonfly – She learns a hard lesson of the internet this day.
Anime lover – Aw I'm touched you think that. Not everyone is great at laser tag first hand; all I do is hide in corner and hope for the best.
Hortenseyounka – I'm glad that you're able to understand a lot of the chapters! I do wonder as my brain works a lot faster than my hands, so I miss out words and it doesn't make sense sometimes (I'll be rewriting chapters later on correcting this). Don't worry; I have plans for the future with maturing and all that. Of course, you're more than welcome to show me your pictures! If you don't mind; I would like to show case them in my profile, with your permission of course.
MiharuOftheWhitesea – I'm glad you think so!

September the first. That was today! I had gotten up early, really early; about four am early because I was so excited it felt like my stomach was going to explode with loads of butterflies! However at the same time, it also meant that the Phantom Troupe would be here to. That frightened me a lot and was also part of the reason why I had woken up early.
I had gotten a shower quickly, slipped over in the bathroom, landed on my face then got changed and kept looking out of the window every five minutes all while trying not to wake up Gon and Killua with my moving about and shuffling of curtains. They had finally woken up and the first thing I did was jump up onto my bed excitedly telling them to hurry up and get changed so that we could meet my big brother and Leorio quicker. Killua was the one to point out that we had no idea what time they were showing up.
Once they were dressed and ready we decided to explore the Yorknew City market. It was full of people, and lots of stands. If anything it actually made me slightly nervous. However, my bouncing continued as I walked excitedly next to Gon.
"Calm down, you're acting like its Christmas." Killua commented as I shook my head quickly.
"I can't help it. It's the first time I get to see my big brother for over six months! I'm really excited." I said to him excitedly as my bouncing continued; the feeling as if my stomach would explode into loads of butterflies never leaving. Killua was about to open his mouth to say something until Gon interrupted him.
"Wow, there are so many people!" Gon commented, snapping me back into reality from my thoughts. There were loads of people; I could feel my own nervousness coming back slightly and couldn't help but step slightly behind Gon. As excited as I was to see my brother, all these people still made me incredibly nervous.
"This markets purpose is to swindle people who have come for the auction." Killua said as we walked through the crowds. I looked around as Gon spoke to Killua.
"What? This isn't the auction venue?" Gon questioned him as Killua kept his sights forward.
"Obviously. Yorknew's dream auction is held once a year in the world's largest auction house. They say that, during the ten days of official bidding, tens of trillions of Jenny exchange hands." Killua explained to us as we stopped at one of the stalls. I had come out from my spot slightly behind Gon and looked at the little electronic device, trying to take my mind off the mounds of people gathering in this one spot.
"Tens of trillions?" Gon repeatedly asked him in shock and surprise. That's a lot of money.
"Yeah, an item sold for ten thousand can be turned around for an extra hundred million the next day. You can make a fortune instantly. It's where dreams come true." Killua explained as he moved away from the electronic stall. I quickly followed after the two, walking a little bit behind Gon once more, but still enough to not be fully behind him like a wall. I continued to look around at the different stands as we walked. Dreams come true here? This seemed like an odd place for dreams to come true in my opinion.
"Wow…" Gon said to him absolutely amazed by the information he was told.
"Well, that's why a lot of underworld auctioning happens at the same time." Killua said once more as we walked past a stand with china dolls. I stopped for a second to stare at them, they seemed almost life like. I stared at them until I noticed Gon and Killua walking away without me; and quickly ran to catch up with them so that I wouldn't get left behind.
I caught up with the two and walked next to Gon. We continued walking through the market place as Killua decided to speak up.
"Anyway, do you think Kurapika and Leorio will show up?" Killua questioned.
"They promised to meet us here. I'm sure they'll come." Gon said to us. I looked at them both seriously, and nodded my head quickly.
"Big brother will definitely show up! He always sticks to his word to matter what!" I said to him determined. Killua looked at me slightly taken back by my answer, or maybe it was the way I answered it with such belief.
"They might try to contact us." Gon said in his own thoughts. Killua pulled out his purple mobile and pressed a button, then looked at me and Gon with a serious look on his face.
"Hey, you two have to buy a phone! It's standard Hunter gear." Killua said to us. Gon closed his eyes and rubbed the back of his neck with his hand, a wide smile on his face.
"Ah, that's true." Gon said laughing slightly at the end of his sentence. A phone? Like Killua's? I got to get my own phone? I smiled widely to myself that was amazing!
We found a phone stand and stood in front of it, looking at all the different models. There was flip phones, touch screen phones, normal button phones…there was so many phones it was all so confusing and frustrating at the same time. The man behind the stool picked up a phone that had a massive screen with a single button and silver in colour.
"Hey! Welcome! This one's great… It's the hottest current model! Super thin and no bigger than a credit card. It had GPS which comes in handy for meeting with people." The phone guy said, mostly pointing showing Gon. I furrowed my brows as he picked up another phone. This one being a flip one in a slight pinkish colour.
"This one flips open and closed which is handy for keeping it secret. Its camera can also act like a mirror. It also comes with GPS." He said, showing me the phone this time. I frowned widely and furrowed my brows, it all sounded so confusing.
"Don't bother." A voice from behind us said. The three of us turned around to see who was speaking. I smiled widely, happy to see who it was.
"That feature doesn't work in many countries, and neither of them is waterproof. That model is for people who only make calls." Leorio said, smiling at the three of us.
"Leorio!" Me and Gon shouted happily with wide smiles on our faces.
"Yo!" He said, saluting with two fingers to his forehead.
He shoved his hands back into his pockets and walked over to us, standing in between Gon and Killua as he was looking at the phones.
"I would recommend… this Beetle zero seven." Leorio said, picking up a mobile phone that was shaped like a big brown dung beetle. I looked at the phone and shivered, it looked like a creepy crawly, I wouldn't want that in my pocket or bag at all! Every time I got it out I would scream slightly thinking it was a real bug. Leorio however smiled widely at me and Gon explaining the phone.
"It's a little heavy and pricey, but it includes a translator for the two hundred languages used worldwide." He said, looking between the three of us. I looked at him wide eyed. That creepy bug like phone had a translator for the world's languages?!
"What? Seriously? Go with this one. I'll buy one too!" Killua asked amazed, looking up at the phone himself then looked at me and Gon, smiling widely.
"Yeah!" Gon said happily as Killua looked at me. I shook my head quickly, screwing my eyes shut before opening them and knitting my brows together looking at Killua with a wide frown as I spoke.
"It looks too much like a bug, it's really freaky!" I said to him. Killua smirked a cat like smirk as he half closed his eyes.
"Hmm? So you're a afraid of bugs?" Killua asked, shoving his hands into his pockets and leaning forward slightly. I shook my head quickly again, screwing my eyes tightly shut once more before opening them and knitting my brows together once more whilst speaking.
"No! They're just really creepy and a phone shaped like one is really creepy too!" I said to him defensively. Killua snickered to himself as Leorio looked between the man and the other phones.
"Two, please." Leorio said looking at the phone seller, looking at the other phones as I went back looking.
"Two will cost four hundred thousand." The phone's sale man said. Leorio looked taken back at his price for the phone and stood up straight.
"Four hundred thousand? That's expensive, pops!" Leorio yelled at him, making the people behind us stop and look. I looked at the people and jumped slightly before looking back at the phones myself.
Leorio argued with the man and managed to get Gon's and Killua phone lowered for them before buying them the phones. The man placed their phones into a brown paper bag each and handed them to Gon and Killua. I looked at the phones and reached over, picking up a small blue one. I looked at it carefully, and flipped it open, before flipping it closed; then flipped it open once more and flipped it closed again. I smiled widely at myself before a shadow cast over me.
"That's the Force 06. It's lightweight but very sturdy. It can translate about fifty of the languages used worldwide, with the option to download more." Leorio said behind me making jump and throw the phone out of my hand slightly. I panicked and grabbed it tightly pulling it closely to my chest afraid that I'd drop it. I thought about it for a second before smiling widely to myself.
"I'll get this one then!" I said happily showing the man behind the stand.
We walked down the streets once more, paper bags with phone boxes held in between our hands. Leorio had managed to get the guy to drop the price of my phone as well. It was originally going to cost about two hundred thousand, but he managed to drop it much lower.
"Thanks, Leorio!" Gon said to him happily with a wide smile on his face as he looked at the phone with the creepy crawly design. It still made me shiver slightly; it was so freaky and weird!
"But, damn, one hundred and ten thousand, five hundred and eighty Jenny apiece, huh? It's a new model, so that's a fair price in this market." Leorio commented as he walked behind Gon, Killua and I. I stood next to Killua as we walked down the streets; luckily the streets weren't so busy. Leorio looked at me slightly confused with an eyebrow raised.
"I don't understand why you didn't want that one; it's perfect since you'll most likely drop your phone." He said to me. I shook my head quickly, holding my paper bagged phone box close to my chest with my arms.
"No I won't I promise!" I said to him defensively as Killua smirked at me.
"She's scared of bugs." He said simply, continuing to smirk. I glared at him and shook my head quickly once again; screwing my eyes shut and feeling my cheeks go red.
"No I'm not!" I said to him as he snickered once more. Killua laced his hands behind his head as we continued walking.
"Still, talk about overkill. I've never seen a cell phone purchase greeted with applause before." Killua said making me remember what had happened. In success of Leorio managing to lower the prices for all three phones, everyone started clapping around us, making me, Gon and Killua all have the look of embarrassment on our faces as we walked away with a happy, whistling Leorio. That was some mobile phone purchase
"But you really saved us." Gon said to Leorio.
"Just so you know, it was nothing. The serious dealing only starts when the seller tells you to leave." Leorio said embarrassed by Gon's praise and gratitude before laughing at the end of his sentence. Me, Gon and Killua all looked at each other as Leorio laughed at his own little victory.
"He's the last person you would find at an auction." Gon said, making Killua close his eyes and furrow his brows.
"No kidding." Killua said simply as I nodded my head. We walked down the street some more, listening to Leorio's laughter of joy until he quietened down and began talking to us once more.
"So how are you guys doing?" Leorio questioned as we walked in front of him.
"What do you mean?" Gon asked him, turning his head to look up to him confused.
"You've trained and gotten stronger, right?" Leorio questioned. Killua made a grunt of annoyance as I smiled widely to myself, hugging my new phone tighter to me.
We had decided to go to a fast food place as we were all hungry; and Killua was using the bribe of buying us food in exchange of information. It worked; I could only guess that Leorio wanted to know the information that badly. We all had gotten the same thing and found a table to sit at after getting Leorio to buy our food. I sat next to Gon and Leorio, pulling apart my burger with my hands and eating it that way. I had a habit of picking at "finger food". Leorio stood up from his chair after listening to Gon's story, shocked by what he heard, leaning on his hands on the table.
"What?! You returned the tag to Hisoka at Heavens Arena? And you have to be pretty good to make it to the two hundreds…" Leorio said, standing up straight, then dropping into his chair. He closed his eyes and curled his hands into fists as Gon and Killua continued eating. I took a sip from my drink, holding the cup in both my hands as I watched Leorio's reaction.
"How strong have you gotten now?" Leorio questioned, still trying to get his head around everything.
I couldn't help but smile widely to myself, would big brother have the same reaction? I just wanted him to be really proud of how strong I got.
"Hey, did you learn Nen, Leorio?" Gon questioned the much taller man, swallowing his food before he spoke. Killua seemed too into his free food and drink to be taking note of the conversation much. Leorio leaned an elbow on the table, pushing up his glasses with his fingers as he smirked at us.
"Yeah, you bet." He said to us, acting really cool. I smiled widely at him.
"Awesome!" Gon said happily to him.
"Cool!" I said happily myself as I placed my drink down, leaving half a burger and half a drink sitting on the table…I was full.
"Really?" Killua questioned him, not believing a word he had said. Leorio leaned back, removing his elbow from the table and glared at Killua's reaction.
"Why would I lie to you? It's the ability to build up a shroud of aura, one's own life force…" Leorio said to us, sitting up straight and closing his eyes with a wide smirk on his face as he placed his hands onto his chest. Killua sighed as I smiled apologetically to him, knitting my brows together. Gon smiled slightly at him, his brows furrowing.
"That's Ten, one of the four major principles for learning Nen." Gon explained to him, making Leorio lean forward to him, looking at him in disbelief.
"Eh? There's more to it?" Leorio questioned him as I nodded my head a little.
"Not only that, but there's also six categories for Nen too." I said to him, keeping the small apologetic smile on my face. Killua looked at Gon and myself slightly annoyed by Leorio's reaction to the explanations.
"Figured as much." He said, making Leorio look at him with a heavy glare.
We had finished our food and drinks quickly. I had managed to take a couple more bites from my burger, until my stomach felt like it would explode making me stop. I did though manage to finish my drink so not all of Leorio's money went to waste. We went back to the hotel where me, Gon and Killua were staying, it was nice and cheap. We had told him about Greed Island as we made our way up to our room. Entering our room we all took our various spots that had become our favourite or most hated. Gon sat on one of the dining chairs , his hands on the top of the chair. Killua sat on the window seal with his feet on the top of another couch as I sat on that couch, away from Killua's feet with my legs either side of me and hands on my ankles.
"Green Island? What's that?" Leorio questioned us. Killua removed the yellow shaped lolly from his mouth as he took a turn this time explaining things.
"A legendary game." Killua said simply, making Gon feel the need to expand on that.
"We're trying to get a copy at the auction." Gon said to him, smiling widely as Killua went back to cracking his lolly in between his teeth. Leorio stopped drinking his tea and looked at Gon confused.
"But why a game?" Leorio questioned us, confusion evident in his voice.
"I think this game holds a clue to finding my dad." Gon explained to him. Leorio looked even more confused and stopped midway of bringing his tea to his lips.
"Huh? The game holds a clue to finding your dad? What do you mean?" Leorio questioned him, still confused by the matter.
"Well, it's a long story." Gon said to him as Leorio finally managed to get a sip of his tea. Killua stopped crunching his lolly as he spoke up.
"Anyway, the problem is the cost." Killua said to him, making Leorio stop drinking his tea once more to look over to where me and Killua were sitting.
"How much are we talking?" Leorio questioned. I decided to speak up this time. I played with the hems of my sleeve as I spoke to him.
"The lowest bid is eight point nine billion Jenny." I said to him, furrowing my brows slightly. Leorio jumped in his seat slightly as Killua went back to cracking his lolly in between his teeth.
"Eight point nine billion Jenny? How much do you have?" He asked his, careful not to spill any of his tea as he looked between us.
"We made some bad investments, so we're down to five million." Gon said, scratching the side of his head with a small laugh of nervousness.
"Actually Mishka made most of them." Killua said removing the lolly from his mouth and shoving my shoulder with his foot. I glared at him, puffing out my cheeks.
"Stop blaming it all on me! I said sorry!" I said to him, keeping my cheeks puffed out as he smirked a cat like smirk and went back to eating his lolly. I had apologised loads of times on the way to the hotel and until we went to sleep, because Killua kept saying things like "We could have done this if".
The room fell silent as Leorio let the information sink in. He began speaking once he could think of something to say.
"Listen up, kids… This event is held at Southern Piece, the world's finest auction house. The money you have won't cover the entry fee." Leorio said to us, making me frown widely and knit my brows together. Was just entering in for this event going to cost that much and more? What an expensive event; I would have thought they would make enough just by selling things let alone charging people to enter!
"But the game has a low difficulty rank on the Hunter site's treasure list." Gon pointed out to him. Leorio placed his tea onto the coffee table and looked at Gon shocked.
"Really?" Leorio questioned, looking at Gon with wide eyes.
"Because you only need money to get a copy." Gon said to him. Leorio laughed slightly to himself and smirked widely, closing his eyes. He laid his arms lazily on the sofa, looking up to the ceiling as if very proud of something he just done.
"It always comes back to money. This world runs on money!" Leorio said proudly. I shook my head, not really agreeing with it. When I was about to open my mouth to say something Killua began speaking.
"Well… That just means that a real treasure can't be brought. If you can't obtain an item like this with ease, you can't be considered a pro Hunter, right?" Killua questioned, sticking his lolly back into his mouth and crunching it once more. Me, Gon and Leorio looked at him, Leorio dropping his eye lids with an annoyed face, Gon glaring at him slightly and me knitting my brows together frowning deeply.
"That's basically saying we're nowhere near becoming pros." I muttered to myself, sighing deeply and dropping my head. Leorio took out his laptop from his brief case and started it up. He got off the couch and walked over to a little table then placed the machine onto it. It was a really quick machine; much faster than the laptops at the library that we were using. He opened up the internet and typed on the keyboard for the search engine "Uoogre." The splash screen came up, showing Uoogre in colourful letters.
"I don't need you to tell me that. But first we need money… We'll need some starting funds. Let's find a way to make some money in Yorknew!" Leorio said as me, Gon and him all hovered around his laptop.
"Yeah!" Me and Gon said at the same time, nodding our heads together.
We found a webpage after searching and read some of the information on it. It looked confusing, and I didn't understand what half of it even meant. Killua had decided to removed himself from his window seal and came over to us, standing behind me and Gon with his arms crossed.
"Huh? Swap?" Leorio questioned as he scrolled the mouse across the page.
"What does that mean?" Gon questioned him as we stared at the page. I pointed to a little link that was highlighted blue on the screen.
"Click that. Maybe that'll know." I said to them. Gon took over the mouse and clicked on the link. An audio file began playing.
""Swap". An auction technique. Slang for the exchange of goods. Also see "Bind"." The audio file said. I furrowed my brows even more, what did bind mean? What was bind? Wasn't that when people found themselves in very difficult positions?
"What's a bind?" Leorio questioned. Gon typed into the keyboard, making another audio file play.
""Bind". The seller names a condition besides money as their price. The winning bid will be the one that comes closest to meeting that condition." The audio file explained. That made it a little clearer, but all this auction talk really confused me and if I was honest I still didn't know what half of it meant.
"Condition?" Gon questioned. Killua closed his eyes in annoyance.
"No idea what that means." Killua huffed in more annoyance. Leorio laughed to himself slightly and stood up straight, placing a hand on his chin as he stared at the ceiling.
"So that's it… There's another kind of auctioning…" He said, laughing to himself even more. I looked at him confused, Leorio seemed to understand how this worked a lot…but I wondered if he really understood how it worked or if he just thought he knew how it worked.
The sun was beginning to set. Leorio had said he came up with a plan. We didn't have anything else so we went with it. He sat us all down in front of him as he explained it to us. We were going to have an arm wrestling contest, but in a way it was going to be rigged. Leorio looked at us, holding a finger close to his face as he began to explain how.
"Adjust your strength to match the opponent. Every now and then, pretend to struggle." He told us, mostly Gon though. The three of us nodded our heads, going with Leorio's plan. That was cheating, it made me feel uncomfortable. We were told to bring down a table and stools and that's exactly what we did. I carried the stools as Gon and Killua carried the table between them. Leorio packed up his laptop back into his brief case allowing us all to leave together. We exited the hotel and walked into the streets, setting up the table and stools.
"Gon I want you to sit on the stool." Leorio told Gon. Gon nodded his head and went to sit on one of the stools I placed down behind the table. He quickly took off his jacket and awaited further instructions from Leorio. He placed his arm onto the table, getting ready for the arm wrestling match. Leorio then shoved an open box with a ring into Killua's hand and made him stand to one side away from Gon, then shoved another open box into my hand, but this time holding a neckless and made me stand next to Killua, holding the item for show to people. The older man turned around and then began shouting out to everybody who walked past us.
"Come on down! Let's have some conditional auctioning fun! Here's what's up for bid. A diamond ring worth three million. Comes with the appraisal of the store where I just brought it." He said, pointing to Killua who was holding the ring box in his hands with his eyes closed.
"Or a diamond neckless also worth three million. Comes with the appraisal of the store where I just brought it." Leorio shouted, pointing to me and the box. I stiffened slightly as I held the box in my hand, watching as people began gathering round.
"Arm wrestling will decide the winning bid. The first person to beat this boy wins the diamond of their choice. You must pay a ten thousand Jenny entry fee." Leorio shouted, holding his arms into the air as he spoke to everyone gathering round.
I was beginning to wonder why I had let myself get dragged into this now. Then I remembered it's because the three of us wanted that game really badly and so now I was holding a piece of jewellery up for grabs by whoever beats Gon in an arm wrestling match. I was going to have to keep so much from my brother. If he knew I was part of a rigged game I think he'd ground me. For life. I wouldn't be allowed friends again. At least without his approval. I frowned to myself closing my eyes and furrowing my brows, so much risk just for a game.
"Now, let's start the auction!" Leorio shouted, smirking as he dropped his arms only to raise one into the air again and pointed at the sky. People began waving their money in the air or thrust their hands forwards with their money towards Leorio.
"Yeah! It's mine!"
"I'm in!"
"Count me in!"
"Okay, don't push…form a line. Okay, you're first!" Leorio spoke. I opened my eyes again hearing those words and watched what was happening. Leorio stood in front of a very muscular man with tanned skin and wearing a big grey muscle shirt. He had short brown hair.
"You need to pay the entry fee up front." Leorio explained to him. The man held his money out for Leorio to take.
"Here you go…ten thousand Jenny." He said to Leorio. Leorio took the money and turned around slightly, pointing his hand towards Gon with a very wide smile on his face.
"Thank you, step right up!" Leorio said to him as the man walked past him and towards Gon. I was nervous; if Gon wasn't nervous I think I was nervous enough for him.
The man sat on the stool with a heavy thump and placed his elbow onto the table, smirking widely at Gon.
"Okay, clasp hands." Leorio instructed the two, keeping a close eye on them. The two clasped hands together. Gon looked over at Leorio slightly before looking back at the huge man. Leorio grinned widely at the two as he began shouting out the instructions.
"Are you ready? You get a single round! Ready… Go!" Leorio shouted, throwing his hand into the air and closing his eyes. Gon and the man pushed against each other's hands with a lot of force and pressure. It looked like the man was struggling more than Gon, until Gon's hand started going down with Gon's best attempts at struggling noises. I watched them closely as Gon looked over to Leorio slightly.
"Uh-oh! Will he do it? You almost have it… Hang in there!" Leorio shouted as Gon continued with his best struggling noises. The huge muscly man looked like he was struggling even more as Gon began bringing his hand back up and started pushing down onto his opponents. They were both making grunts until Gon pushed the muscle man's hand onto the table ending the match.
"Oh, so close!" Leorio said tauntingly. The crowd began whispering to themselves as Gon looked at the man with a wide grin. The man dropped his head, ashamed he was beaten.
"Damn, I lost to a little kid…" He whined before letting go of Gon's hand and walking away from the table. Leorio turned back to the crowd as they stayed line up.
"Next, please." He said to them simply. A man with slightly curly brown hair and a moustache was next. He did the same as the muscle guy before him.
"Ready…Go!" Leorio shouted, starting the match for the two. The two began their arm wrestling match, struggling and making grunting noises until a thump was heard on the table.
"Damn…" The man with the moustache commented, dropping his head down.
"And you lose! Next, please." Leorio said cheerfully. I saw Killua from the corner of my eyes pulling a slightly annoyed face as he looked at the ground. I sighed slightly to myself, to get all the money we needed; we were going to be here for a very long time.
It soon turned dark very quickly. Everyone who arm wrestled with Gon lost and left the scene never to be seen for the rest of the night. I was starting to get cold just standing around holding an open box with a golden neckless inside. And bored. Really bored.
"You lose!" Leorio said cheerfully to the last person who faced Gon. Soon, an even bigger crowd began surrounding us with all the people who wondered around at night. I felt myself stiffen once more, I just wanted to go back to the hotel and sleep; there were so many people here and if I was honest I felt like I was going to get mugged…and this wasn't even mine! Plus I felt bad for knowing we were tricking people, really bad.
"He's beaten a hundred and fifty people!"
"He's gotta be running out of steam."
"He looks tired and he's sweating hard."
"Don't lose before I get my turn!" The various people in the crowd shouted. Gon had his eyes closed and raised his arm wrestling arm into the air, leaning back on the stool slightly. He opened his eyes lazily and placed his other hand onto his shoulder before rolling it around in the joint trying to loosen it.
Leorio looked back out to the crowd again, continuing with his wide smile.
"Okay, next person please." Leorio said. In front of his stood a woman, who looked a lot smaller than she probably was compared to Leorio. He had shot black hair to her chin and big round glasses. She wore a black turtle neck, long sleeved top and blue jeans with black shoes. It looked like she wore some kind of gold chain around her neck. She held money out in front of Leorio for him to take.
"Well, we have our first female challenger!" Leorio shouted as the crowd continued its muttering and shouts.
"All right! Get him, girl!"
"Go easy on her, muscle boy!" The crowd shouted as Leorio led her up to the stool.
"How old are you? Where are you from?" Leorio asked, however the woman stayed quiet; never moving an inch to answer his questions.
"Huh? You're no fun." Leorio muttered to himself as the woman took a seat on the stool in front of Gon. She bowed her head to Gon politely.
"Let's have a fair contest." She said to him, making me frown widely. This contest wasn't fair, not by a long shot. Gon bowed his head in response.
"Oh, yes." He said to her then propped his elbow onto the table. The woman did the same with her opposite arm then clasped hands with Gon. Gon froze on the stool as I watched the two closely. Leorio stood up straight once more, raising his hand into the air.
"Ready…Go!" He shouted, starting the arm wrestling match. The two pressed their weight against each other's hands; unlike the other matches it really looked like Gon was struggling this time. I watched with wide eyes as the two wrestled, Gon struggling to bring down her arm. Their hands stayed clasped at the starting position for a while until Gon pushed hard enough to bring down her hand, tapping it onto the table. Gon let out a huge puff of air after ending the match.
"Oh, too bad, you lose!" Leorio shouted as the crowd began clapping for her. Gon leaned back trying to catch his breath once more as the woman sat up straight.
"Good job, girl!" Someone from the crowd shouted as the girl bowed her head to Gon.
"Thank you very much." She said to him. Gon sat up and bowed his head back to her.
"Oh, you're welcome." He said back to her. The woman got up off the stool and began walking away, looking back at Gon.
Gon held his wrist in his hand. Killua nudged my side with his elbow making me look at him. He nodded his head towards Gon. I looked over at Gon and then back at Killua, nodding my own head. We walked over to Gon and leaned down slightly so only the three of us could hear.
"That was your full strength, wasn't it?" Killua whispered to him as Gon held his wrist and glared at the woman's retreating back. Gon nodded his head as his eyes softened slightly.
"Yeah…I wonder who she is…" Gon whispered back, trailing off in wonder.
"The world champion arm wrestler?" Killua questioned as I shook my head, watching where she walked off to.
"I don't think we should find out." I whispered to them, furrowing my brows with a wide frown. Something about her rubbed me the wrong way, it was uncomfortable. I didn't want to meet her again.
