Minato quickly dodged the oncoming fist of Margaret, before backing away, "Get back!" Minato shouted at Elizabeth, who was still at the same spot.
"You corrupted my sister." Margaret scowled, lightening up a fireball in her palm and hurling it towards Minato who sidestepped it, barely.
"Corrupted!?" Minato spat, hurling a ball of fire in return, which Margaret simply smacked away.
"What the fuck? There is nobody in the area!" Ryder said with wide eyes.
"Tell me something new. Tch, come on Minato, hammer her!" Hamuko cheered.
"Ugh." Margaret's fist barely touched Minato's cheek, yet, Minato still felt a bit of pain. Shrugging the pain away, Minato did a low sweep, momentarily throwing Margaret off balance, allowing him just enough time to back away.
"Behold!" Margaret said, opening her compendium, instantly summoning Ara Mitami. The persona rotated in mid air, building up a more deadly blast of fire which was sent flying towards Minato again.
"Dammit!" Minato cursed, switching to Surt and charging straight through the flames, unscratched.
Margaret quickly evaded Minato's fist before ramming her knee right into his gut. Minato quickly pulled his own knee up to block it.
"Hurt..." Minato said, feeling pain running through his knee which he just used to block.
"Get out of my sight!" Margaret said, catching Minato off guard. Margaret curled her hand into a fist and rammed it right into Minato's gut, making the Saviour spit out blood, unimaginable pain coursing through his entire body. He was sure that Margaret broke a couple of internal organs.
The impact caused Minato to fly backwards, he literally flew all the way from the street, towards his own house, before smashing right into the door, which gave away as well, and Minato ended up smashing right into the wall, before collapsing.
"What. The. Fuck?" Hamuko said, observing the damage a simple punch had done.
"Is he the one who you expected to stand up for you?" Margaret scoffed, grabbing Elizabeth by the collar.
"How dare..." Elizabeth was most likely about to curse, before Margaret pinched her on the neck, instantly making her collapse. Margaret caught her sister and stared coldly at the gang.
"Resistance is futile. Theodore, I'll be expecting you in 24 hours, or else..." Margaret said, turning to Minato who was clutching his gut in pain, while limping his way towards her.
"If you really want to take her away, then be my guest. I'll be waiting, 24 hours is all the time I can afford to give you. Be there, if you want to 'save' her." Margaret spat, disappearing into blue mist, along with Elizabeth.
"Dammit!" Minato shouted, before dropping to his knees, coughing out some more blood.
"Minato!" Junpei hurried over to him and helped his best friend up.
"Are you okay?" Hamuko said worriedly.
"No..." Minato gasped, feeling the brutal pain in his gut, he was sure that Margaret could have craved a whole if she applied just a bit more force.
"Dude, what are you gonna do?" Ryder asked, "I would gladly help you, but this chick literally made you fly from a single punch."
"You can't beat her." Terry said with a sigh, "Sadly."
"What about Elizabeth!?" Ruby scowled, "Are we supposed to forget about her?"
"Maybe if we all attack at the same time, we COULD win." Kenji said, swallowing the lump in his throat.
"No..." Minato said, grasping his friends for support, "No way in hell am I getting you guys involved in this."
"What? You'll die!" Hamuko cried.
"And I'll rescue Elizabeth at all costs." Minato threw a look at Theo who was trying to talk.
Channelling up a Salvation up his body, Minato felt the pain vanish slowly, "I'm going after her."
"Madness!" Theodore shouted for the first time.
"I ain't leaving Elizabeth alone, I swore to protect her and I ain't gonna give up." Minato said, grabbing a sword from under the couch and walking outside.
"Wait..." Hamuko said and Minato stopped, fully expecting Hamuko to lash out.
"I'll be kicking your ass if you don't come back by midnight." Hamuko said with a smile, giving Minato thumbs up.
"Heh, count on it." Minato smiled back.
Minato spotted his prey, a beautiful piece of art just moving right next to him. Minato hurried over the motorcycle and stopped the driver.
"What the fu-?" The driver was thrown to the side, as Minato quickly seated himself on the gorgeous bike and kicked the bike into ignition.
"Thank you!" Minato smiled, before furiously increasing the pace and bolting away from the scene, his mind set on Elizabeth.
"Oops." Hamuko giggled nervously, walking over to the former owner of the bike.
"You might have to forgive my cousin, he's a little hyper today." Hamuko tried to speak but was cut off by the dude, who was pulling out the grass in frustration.
"You gotta be fucking kidding me! That was a fucking Hayabusa!" The teenager with brown hair and eyes scowled, glaring daggers at Hamuko.
"Ah, the fastest bike in the world." Hamuko gulped, "Well, I'll pay you the damage, in instalments."
"I'm hunting that mothercanucker down!" The teenager said, pulling out a pistol from his bag and running after Minato who was surely long gone, "You stupid blue haired emo, I nearly killed a fucking goth, fear me!" He took off, running.
"Phew, no money lost for me." Hamuko sighed.
...
Elizabeth woke up, her eyes slowly opened to see Margaret sitting on a rock, she was in a warehouse or a abandoned building of some sort.
"You've finally awakened." Margaret noted, not even looking at Elizabeth's direction.
"Margaret! What have you done!?" Elizabeth scowled.
"That is no way to speak to your elder sibling." Margaret replied coldly.
"Sibling? What sibling on earth does this to her kin?" Elizabeth spat back.
"The one who cares..." Margaret replied.
"My ass." Elizabeth cussed, "If you had an ounce of compassion, you would have left with THEM! With Minato!"
"Listen to yourself, are you the one who swore upon the contract!" Margaret said, finally losing her temper.
"I did, but I'm over that." Elizabeth replied, "Why can't you just leave me alone!?"
"You could die, you foolish girl." Margaret said, barely controlling the urge to slap her silly.
"You're point is?"
"He..." Margaret tried to speak, before stopping herself.
"Forget it, I will wait here, if he comes, I'll kill him." Margaret said simply, "I'm pretty sure that he's afraid now, he won't come."
"That boy is the Messiah. The one who used his soul to seal away the night goddess." Elizabeth interjected.
"He had no choice at that time. Now, he has a choice, and I know, he'll take the easy path and leave you out, so that he can live peacefully." Margaret replied calmly.
The words alone drilled a hole right into Elizabeth's heart who found her tears threatening to spill.
...
Minato sped past the buildings, Margaret's SP was so vast, that he could sense it easily, even from so far.
"Damn, seems like I'm in for another brutal battle." Minato cussed, speeding the vehicle up, before slowing it down.
"Wait, why am I going?" Minato asked himself, "Margaret's one punch could kill me, she's stronger than Elizabeth, who tore me apart easily. Why am I going to risk my life, which I already lost once?"
Minato nearly stopped the bike, pondering over his thoughts, "Why am I going? Shouldn't I just hand her over, and avoid a shitload of pain?"
...
Minato soon found his answer for fighting. He recalled every memory that he spent with Elizabeth, the cheerful, beautiful, clumsy, yet loving assistant that Minato had grew to like.
...
The kiss that the two shared, right before he blackened out hammered his brain again and again, his heartbeat sped up furiously.
"I know..." Minato smiled, speeding up the motorcycle.
"I can't live without her." Minato finally said, "A day without her seems... empty. I want her to be next to me, at every step of my life."
"I'm gonna save her! I don't care if I die again!" Minato swore, nailing a meter of 220 and speeding towards his destination.
"Hamuko was right, I do like her." Minato smirked.
...
"Hmph. Spineless human." Margaret scoffed, turning to Elizabeth who was sobbing, "Don't waste your tears on someone like him."
"I hate you!" Elizabeth cried, "Minato! Save me!" She cried frantically.
Just as Margaret was about to answer that, a roar of engine halted her, her golden eyes slowly widening. The was sent flying to the side from a blast.
Margaret slowly turned her head towards the door, to find Minato standing there, his eyes burning with determination and courage.
"You came..." Elizabeth bit back the sob and gave out a smile.
"Hmph." Margaret opened her compendium, "Do you really expect to beat me in your current condition? Laughable."
"I'll show you." Minato said, drawing his blade out, "What we humans are capable of." A certain silver glow engulfed Minato. The Messiah's silver eyes glowed a brilliant red, making Margaret gasp and back away, sensing a monumental amount of SP radiating from Minato.
A certain persona, rose up from behind Minato, its face greatly resembling Minato's own.
"The Messiah is here. My reason to fight is right here!" Minato shouted, pointing to Elizabeth who had somehow reawakened Minato's prime persona.
"Tch..." Margaret readied herself for a brutal clash.
"You'll taste no victory." Minato swore, "If you want her, to have to walk over my dead body!"
Sorry about the small battle scene, I assure you, a big one is waiting in the next chapter. Yes, Minato is now more powerful than before, since he realized his reason for fighting, which he lost after sealing away Nyx.
