Everyone says theres this confusing part in the story and we want to at least try to fix it if possible. We'll inform you guys if we did fix it. But we need to know one thing first… where is it?

Again, sorry. This chapter isn't long, but it's something that will get this story going again. Creds to RazielsMango again for the help! Always a pleasure!

This chapter really is short... sorry!

Gent watched as Spadix made her way towards the motorcycle he was waiting at. He couldn't have just left her there, he knew that. What kind of a brother would he be if he did? He also knew his sister wanted to catch up with her parabatai.

"Are you going to be okay?" asked the tanned girl. She placed a comforting hand on Gents arm, rubbing it up and down. Gent just kept staring at the ground with his hands in his jeans pockets. He didn't even get a chance to dance or party or even try to get over Clary. The things he felt… it was all still there. The ring was still in it's case in the seat compartment. He couldn't bare to take it away. The pain was too much.

"Yeah…" He shook his head.

"Is that a yes or no?"

"Probably not." Gent exhaled deeply and hid his face in his hands. "I screwed up-" he looked into Spadix's eyes, "-didn't I?" Spadix didn't have to look into his eyes to understand what he was talking about.

"No, you didn't. It wasn't you, it wasn't her. It was both of you. What you had two years ago was probably just something you held together because you were desperate to be in a relationship." Spadix gave out a heavy sigh. "I'm not trying to bring you down, more like up, actually. Clary was your first girlfriend. Not many people believe this but, you fall in love more than once, okay? Now that you're not tied to Clary anymore, you can go find that soulmate of yours."

Gent had no choice but to believe Spades. She knew more about relationships than any other person he knew. Carmen and Brendan had other girlfriends before too. Carmen had a boyfriend as well but that was besides the point. Spadix had at least 11 serious relationships, starting at 14. She knew how to reject, accept, and accept with sincerity. Relationships were her strength.

"Argenteus!" Silver Boy immediately looked up to see a blue eyed and dark haired guy.

"Adam? What are you doing here?" Gent instantly felt his heart jump.

"I saw you walk out after all that happened in there and I wondered if you were okay." Adam rubbed the back of his neck and Gent couldn't help but feel flattered and the heat rise to his cheeks.

"I uh," he shook his head to snap out of his daze. "I'm all right." Gent looked down to avoid his friends' eyes. He also noticed the lack of a third person here. Spadix somehow managed to slip away.

"You don't look it." Gent was shocked at how Adam could easily read him. He was good at hiding his emotions, what made it so easy for Adam to see through him?

"Really?" He tried to act like he didn't notice it, but deep down, of course he knew.

"It's in your eyes." Adam stepped forward and was just inches away from Adam. "Those silver eyes that you always try to hide." His warm fingers lifted his hair away from his eyes and now Gent could clearly see the figure standing in front of him. "Call me when you need me. I'm hoping that's sooner than later." With that, Adam walked back the way he came, giving a last smirk before sinking into the fog ahead of them.

Spadix emerged from the shadows of the building but Gent didn't seem to notice. He just kept staring at Adam's figure walk further and further away from them. She poked his arm, but he didn't say anything but,

"I think I just found my soulmate."

Days later

The Clave had burned the body of Jonathan Morgenstern and spread his ashes in separate areas of the Silent City. He was not to return, and if he were, there'd be no place to go as his ashes are at the dungeons of the City of Bones, and that's too deep for anyone who needs oxygen to breathe to survive.

Clary had stayed at the NYC Institute right after that night Jace had come back to life. Max got his wish into being taken to Forbidden Planet, and Isabelle got her chance to dress Clary up, though the new Clary more than less dressed her up instead. Simon's band actually had a couple of gigs and they came up with a final name for their band. Clary couldn't dare to ask so she switched topics immediately. On occasion she would go back to HK and see Spadix. However, the HK Institute was avoided at all costs. She couldn't bare to see Argenteus yet. It'd be too overwhelming.

"I've got a Clave meeting to go to. I'll be back soon," said Clary as she drew a portal on the wall of the living room.

Once Clary was in Idris and in the Accords hall where the meeting was held, she sat with the rest of the Clave members and waited for the meeting to start as she caught up with some old friends.

"This meeting," said the Inquisitor, "is about a very special Clave member, Clarissa Morgenstern." Her eyebrows raised, Clary's mouth dropped an inch. Shadowhunters began to murmur rumours around the long rectangular table that had been set up for this meeting.

"You've been staying within the New York Institute recently, yes?" asked the Inquisitor. She didn't sound intimidating, more like she was searching for confirmation.

"Yes, I have," Clary stated strongly, wondering why the meetings' discussion was upon her.

"Due to ancient laws, you must return to the Hong Kong Institute in China."

Clary's mouth dropped an inch open.

"Is there a reason for this?" Clary sat on the edge of her chair, her manicured nails scraping the sides of her wooden chair.

"New York is too great of a distance away from your parabatai and you must continue your training. Your days as a young Shadowhunter have yet to be fulfilled."

Around the table, Shadowhunters alike had a debate on this. Some agreed that she was young though her skills as an adult Shadowhunter are greater than the majority of Shadowhunters in the world. Others disagreed and said she was still a child/teenager and should properly finish her training and school work before fully participating in the 'real world.' The distance of New York to Hong Kong was also debated. Everyone knew of Clary's ability to create portals within seconds. Some said that with this power, she would be able to come and go as she pleased, seeing her parabatai when needed. Others said it was the rune that bonds them, not how close they lived and that if the two were separated for too long, the runes' power would take over and kill them both from being too far away from each other.

A soft cough was given by the Inquisitor and somehow, it got everyone's attention.

"Clarissa," the Inquisitor said lowly, "please, do not make this harder than it needs to be." The Inquisitor had always been reasonable with the redhead. Clary really didn't want to put up a fight with her after all the times she's helped her out of unnecessary Clave business. Defeated, she relaxed her shoulders and fixed her posture.

"If I must, I shall." The poshness in her voice covered up the sadness in her heart.

"Meeting adjourned," said the Inquisitor. The Shadowhunters all left and it was just Clary and the Inquisitor left in the room. She walked up to the redhead and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. Her eyes met the green orbs of sadness. She knew what was going to happen.

"Clary, you are a strong, young woman. Do not bring yourself to a depression because of one man. There are many more out there, and we all know very well who that young man you will marry is. Jace Herondale is a very egotistical man, but he has done much for you, more so than you know. Do not let Argenteus make you feel inferior. He can't make you feel inferior, not without your consent. Seeing him and talking your issues out with him will do more harm than good. It may open up an old wound, but do not think of it that way. Think of it as re-breaking bones so they may heal."

Clary considered this and stood up. The Inquisitor and her hugged, sharing a warm moment, then separating with their silent goodbyes, knowing they'd see each other again sometime soon.

Drawing another portal, Clary stepped through to the NYC Institute and started to pack her things from Jace's room. Just as she got the duffle bag out, Jace had coincidentally stepped into the room.

"What's going on?" the fear in his golden eyes made Clary break. She sank down to the floor and hid her face within her knees and hands. She wasn't going to see Jace again. He wouldn't stay at the HK Institute. It would be too much conflict with Argenteus around.

"Hey, what happened?" asked Jace, holding her close. With one last look in his golden eyes, Clary told him everything. Once she was done, the fear that once was locked into his eyes had changed. It turned into something else. Hope.

Was that good? Really? I know, I know, late update, still very sorry about that. Falling for your best friend is hard but I'll work it out soon enough. What's even worse is that he knows I've got a crush on him. UGH! At least I'm not one of those girls who pass their crush in the hallways and go like, 'No! I can't talk to him! What if he doesn't like me? OMG! He's coming this way! Does my hair look okay?' I'll try to figure it out ASAP. For now though, this is what you're going to have to live with. Not a complete cliffhanger, I think. Hope you liked it! Review to let me know please!
