A/N: Sorry about the long break. I started college and work long hours. I will try so hard to keep updates closer together, but term papers and work wins out.
Fifty Shades Nanny
Chapter 36: Intertwined
"Ana, are you in here?" Gracie yells into Christian's bedroom as she opens the door slightly. I turn to look for Christian but notice he must have already left for work because his side of the bed was empty.
"Yeah," I mumble looking over to her. She comes into the room and gets into the bed. First thing I noticed was that she wasn't dressed and the clock on the night stand read 8:30. "Why aren't you at school?" I asked as I placed my hand on her forehead. She was warm.
"I don't feel good," she mumbles as she lays her head on my chest. I rub circles on her back until I hear soft snores coming from her. I softly move her onto Christian's pillow and get out of bed. I grab my robe off of the chaise and put it on. As I move toward the kitchen I hear Teddy crying. He was on the floor.
"Ana, darling you don't look too well," Gail says as I enter the room.
"I'm just a little tired," I say as I pick Teddy up and move toward the counter. He had a warm forehead as well. Just what I needed two little sick kids.
"Gail, have you seen Gracie," Sawyer says as he comes into the area.
"No, I haven't. She wasn't dressed when I last saw her," she says as he goes to leave the room.
"She's in bed sick," I say as I go to get up but stumble falling forward.
"Ah, Miss. Steele," Taylor says as he steadies me.
"Christian," I say looking behind me and panic not seeing him.
"He's at work, should I call him," Taylor says as I stumble away from him.
"No," I call out going back to bed with Teddy. Gracie was sitting up in the bed crying.
"I don't feel good," she says through sobs. I knew just what she was feeling and meant, I felt the same way. I got back into bed pulling her closer to me as Teddy clung to me.
"Ana, wake up," I hear someone calling my name. I slowly open my eyes looking toward the direction the voice was coming from.
"Christian, what time is it?" I ask as I go to sit up but realize quickly I was trapped in between Teddy and Gracie.
"Jason called me to let me know you weren't feeling well, but when I got here you all were sleeping. Gail told me that Teddy and Gracie were under the weather as well, and I just didn't have the heart to wake you guys," he says as he brushes hair off of my forehead.
"I don't even have any energy to get up," I say as I feel the need to use the rest room.
"Stay in bed, I'll get you anything you need," he quickly says as he stands to his feet. This was one thing he couldn't get me.
"I need to use the bathroom," I say as my cheeks start blushing. He turns toward me with a hazy expression.
"Okay," he stats as he softly moves Teddy over slightly removing the comforter from me, placing one arm under my knees and the other behind my back he picks me up out of the bed.
"Ugh!" I say as I see my reflection in the mirror. He chuckles softly as he puts me down near the toilet. "A little privacy," I say softly as I see him looking over at me.
"Ana, you have no energy," he says sternly looking me over.
"I will call when I am done," I say as I faintly point toward the door. He looks like he wants to argue about it, but walks quietly out of the bathroom leaving me in peace. I use the bathroom and flush the toilet. I half expect him to come running in, but relish in the fact that he doesn't. I carefully make my way to the counter and try to freshen up as I take in the dark circles under my eyes and my pale skin. I lift up the robe to notice faint bruises still lingering on my body mostly my mid to upper back, and off to my right side where I hit the file cabinet.
"That bruise looks way better than what it did look like when it first happened!" I heard from behind me.
"I know you like to stalk people, but really you just freaked me out," I half snap as I steady myself holding tightly to the counter.
"That wasn't my intention. I just thought you might be done, and you hadn't called for any help," he stammers before moving behind me directly placing his hands firmly on my waist steadying me.
"I am feeling dizzy," I say softly grasping automatically onto the counter yet again to keep myself steady knowing full well that Christian wouldn't let me fall, but just out of habit. He puts his arms under my legs and picks me up bridal style and carries me back into our room. "Where are the kids?" I question as he places me onto the bed lying down beside me.
"I put them in their own beds to give you and me a little alone time," he says smugly nuzzling his nose into my hair.
"Christian, we're not going to be doing anything. I am wiped out and feel like crap," I say as I turn toward his now roaming fingers over my breasts toward my thighs. I swat his hand away. "I mean it! Gracie and Teddy are sick and need us," I unwilling moan slightly as he presses his harden shaft into my thigh.
"I have needed you all morning, come on!" he moans as he slips his fingers into me. His lips find mine as he presses them down onto mine. I use what little energy I have to swat his hand away yet again. "Fine, this is just great," he mumbles turning away from me.
"Christian, I'm sorry; I just don't feel up to it. I just want to rest with the kids and get better," I say moving closer to him.
"I know this is all new for me. I have these urges and beforehand I would get what I wanted, but now I have to take into account that's not who we are," he says as he turns over to face me again.
"We're learning all this together. As long as we can talk with each other we'll be okay," I say kissing the tip of his nose. He wraps his arms around me as I am just about to fall asleep there is a noise like something being thrown just outside the door or down the hallway.
"Ugh! This better be damn important," Christian mumbles yells as he gets off the bed and opens the bedroom door.
"Christian, darling tell these buffoons to let me see you," comes the voice of the troll bitch. He moves out the door a little bit more, trying to shut the door in the process. I wasn't having any of that, so I made my way over toward the door and placed my hand on the handle to keep it open.
"Elena, I have made myself clear, if you need business help make an appointment with Andrea, if it is anything else I have Ana," he says pulling on the door as he looks back toward me with a raised eyebrow.
"Well, she isn't doing a very good job at her job. I see those mousey kids lying around the great room. I mean didn't you hire her to watch Gracie not bring another kid into the mixture," she snaps a little harshly as I jerk the door open.
"Christian, darling, I thought we were having fun. What has gotten in our way of it," I question as I walk to his side placing my hands on his chest the forbidden area. I watch as the bitch opens her mouth and her eyes pop a little.
"What the hell?" she snaps moving closer. "Is she pregnant, Christian, Oh my God have you lost your mind. I mean she is only after you for your money. You need to end this shit right now," she demands.
"Who the hell do you think you are telling me what to do, Elena?" he demands as he steps closer to her blocking me from moving much, but I move closer to the wall and try to walk past them.
"I should have knocked some sense into you that night," Elena says as she jerks my arm.
"Take you damn hands off of me," I snap as I jerk my arm out of her grasp.
"Daddy, Ana," Gracie calls out running to me.
"It's alright sweetie." I say softly as I pick her up. "Daddy is just throwing some trash out," I reply eyeing him and taking her back to the great room.
"Christian, what are you doing," Elena was screaming as Taylor was half carrying her to the elevator.
"Elena, we're done. If you come near me, Ana or the kids I will destroy you. I mean it, this is over," he says backing up away from her.
"We're not even close to being done; I made you who you are. I will destroy you," she snarls launching herself toward him, but Taylor was faster and pushed her into the open elevator. I watched in horror as Christian sank to his knees. I put Gracie down and ran over to him.
"I'm so sorry," he is mumbling as he pulls me closer to him. "I am so sorry she touched you," he cries out. I just hold him until he stops. Gracie had joined us crawling up into his lap as he held onto both of us tightly.
It's been almost two weeks since the incident with Elena. Christian being his usual self has become a little overbearing in trying to keep me out of harm's way. It is driving me crazy with all the crazy security that follows us around, but when it's just me I have two or three that I know of. Ugh, if I wasn't going out on a stretch I would say he probably has several hiding out around me that I know nothing about.
"Ana, how good to see you," Grace says as I enter the café. I smile as I sit down across from her adjusting Teddy as I sit him in the booster seat.
"I needed out of the apartment," I say as I pull out some crackers and juice for Teddy.
"I ordered some tea for you. I thought it might calm your nerves a tad bit." She says softly noticing Sawyer and Trenton at the counter seated. "I see you have another man on you," she laughs.
"Totally not funny," I laugh with her.
"I know, but he only wants best for you," she softly says as Sawyer brings me my tea and some sugar. We talk about the last few weeks, minus the Elena incident. I was so focused on what she was saying I didn't notice the person standing behind me until Sawyer was speaking.
"Ma'am," he says as I turn around to see the one person that could ruin my day. Damn her!
"Elena, I didn't know you were in town." Grace says as she stands up to hug and kiss her friend. I feel nauseated from the sight.
"Well business is slow in L.A. so I headed back home to catch up on all the latest gossip. Ana, right," he mutters as she turns toward me.
"Oh, my Elena come sit," Grace says as she moves over in the booth. I glance toward Sawyer trying to figure out what to do, but I notice his phone is to his ear and he's talking into it.
"Sawyer," I say when I see him glance my way.
"Mr. Grey would like to speak with you," he says as he hands me the phone.
"Excuse me please, Sawyer watch Teddy please," I softly mutter as I pass him.
"I am at my wits end being nice," I snap into the phone which got me a small chuckle from Christian.
"I am sorry your brunch with my mom has gotten interrupted, would you like to come visit me at the office," he says huskily.
"I mean it Christian, that woman is a hard limit to me. She needs to stay away from me," I snap again. I am losing my patience with her. She seems to be nowhere and then all of a sudden pops up out of nowhere.
"I am working on it," he says harshly.
"I'm sorry, I know she was your friend at one point, but she is doing everything to tear us apart," I say.
"Ana, stop I said I will take care of it," he snaps. I hit the end button without a second glance and head back over to the table. The phone in my hand is ringing again, as I hand it off to Sawyer.
"I hate to cut this meeting short, but I need to head back to the apartment. I'm not feeling to well right now," I say as I reach for Teddy. He wraps his arms around my neck as I put his juice box away, and reach for the diaper bag.
"Ana, I feel like we didn't have much time, but if your not feeling well, than perhaps heading home is for the best," Grace says giving me a small smile.
"I feel bad, Ana I was hoping to be able to hear how you are doing. We never thought Christian would ever decide to settle down, much less have children," the bitch troll was still speaking when I had enough. I turned around with a smile plastered on my face as I hauled off slapping her across the face.
"Stay the hell away from me," I snap as I walk off with Sawyer and Trenton following close behind me.
