Hello everyone. I wanted to get this chapter out faster but I couldn't get it to my liking, so I hope you all enjoy version 7 or 8 of this chapter. I do hope there are not that many errors.
"Light?" Zack asked the forest as he wandered in the direction he heard steel clashes. The same sounds he was woken up by, causing silent curses at the superhuman SOLDIER hearing. After getting caught in brambles for a few minutes Zack stumbled into a clearing and took a look around.
That's when he saw it. Claire was on her knees in front of the knight eidolon while it had it's weapon raised looking ready to kill the pinkette. Zack was moving before he meant to. His sword found its way into his hands and he felt a growl building in his chest "Get away from her you bastard!" He bellowed out. With a mighty leap he was soaring at the giant ready to strike.
Just as the Knight looked towards the noise Zack collided with its face and knocked it off its metal feet. Both superhuman and eidolon rolled back to their feet recovering quickly from the attack but Zack was moving first. He charged in, slid between the eidolon's legs and slashed at the back of the Knight's knee. The eidolon toppled, plunging its weapon into the ground to recover forcing it use just its shield to block Zack's ferocious attack.
"Zack! Stop!" Claire called out.
The raven haired soldier looked over at his friend with an unsure look and jumped back away from the eidolon. The knight stood up and pulled his weapon from the ground while Zack kept his own sword up, looking between giant and pinkette for a hint on what to do next. Having no interest in Zack, the eidolon moved to walk by him but Zack stubbornly placed himself between the eidolon and Claire.
"I said get back!" He roared and swung his sword for emphasis.
"Zack," Claire groaned, still in the same spot she was when Zack happened across the scene "He's a friend."
The black haired man looked over his shoulder at Claire "He? What? These things don't talk." Zack was beyond bewildered but the knight stood silent waiting for this situation to be resolved.
"That's because they don't know our language." Claire admitted that it sounded silly to her as well but that is the conclusion she came to "I'll explain in the morning."
Zack took another glance between the two before putting his sword on his back and moving to help Claire. He made sure to give the giant a suspicious glare and hold out Claire's weapon. The eidolon carefully took the weapon from Zack and reached to take Zack's sword which he allowed. The three walked quietly back to the camp. Zack lay Claire close to the fire, which was back to roaring thanks to one of the eidolons, and sat near her determined to keep a close eye on the eidolon. Though something occurred to him in the night while watching the Knight's back as he stood watch.
"When did I start getting attracted to you?" Zack asked himself while looking down at the pinkette. For his own sanity he moved away, closer to Sazh and Hope to try to sleep but as expected he started going over their time together to try and pinpoint when he started feeling a pull towards the woman he knows as Lightning.
The morning brought warmth and a pleasant sigh from most of the group. It was the best they had slept in days and were ready to start the day of travel. Though some would have an easier time if they had coffee and a shower, as Jihl loudly complained. For the first time ever, Zack was the last one awake much to Claire's surprise. But he was awake shortly after her, rising with all his usual pep while the pinkette felt like she has had no rest for several days. She sat up, fixed her hair and stood with a groan as she felt the strain of last night's duel weigh on her body.
"So what happened last night?" Zack suddenly asked loudly, drawing the attention of everyone to him as they had no idea what happened or why he was asking.
"I was challenged to a duel." Claire responded bluntly drawing the attention "And I won."
"And after?" Zack pressed, genuinely interested now.
"He gave me this." Claire revealed a pink crystal rose that looked like it was carved from materia "And started communicating."
"Sunshine has a man giving her jewels?" Fang teased "And sounds like the Pup is jealous."
"She's talking about him, Fang." Zack corrected and pointed at the knight eidolon. Puzzled looks were exchanged along with some chatter "But what is that materia thing you have?"
"No idea." Claire said back.
"He communicated!?" Jihl shouted "So they can talk!?" The pinkette shrugged.
"I have no idea if they can talk but they don't speak our language." Claire was getting annoyed at having to explain things.
"Okay, I'm lost now." Sazh said loudly.
"You lasted longer than me." Zack reply.
"None of this makes any god damned sense!" Jihl shouted clearly not dealing well with the situation.
"Look. He woke me up last night, we had a duel, he gave me this materia thing, and then I could see his thoughts in my head. And that's when he got it across that they don't speak our language." Claire growled back as she got to her feet.
"So they're more than Cetra constructs." Hope pondered "I really wish there was more about the eidolons in Cetra writings but telepathy would explain a lot."
"Like why they looked like they were talking to each other?" Sazh asked.
"Exactly." Hope responded, intrigue shining in his eyes.
"What's up Hope?" Vanille asked seeing the gears spinning away in his head.
"We discovered the eidolons. Mythical guardians from Cetra stories. They are ancient technology that is so far beyond our own. Think of everything we could learn from them, they could be the answer to so many questions about the lost civilization, and solve the world's problem of fuel." Claire was impressed by the university student version of Sephiroth. They had discovered ancient weapons that had been unharmed by the flow of time and all he could think of was how these amazing weapons could help people.
"Fuel? I don't see how these things could solve that problem, kid." Sazh commented.
"Seriously? They were sealed away for two thousand years." Hope stated "And then just woke up and started moving around. Whatever kind of power they are using is just absurdly better than anything we have."
A tremble ran through the ground as the enormous bulky eidolon stood and walked over to Hope. The bipedal fortress leaned down and clenched it's fist, looking like it was about to punch Hope into a red puddle but instead of attacking it opened its hand and dropped a yellow materia crystal vaguely shaped like a star. Hope easily caught it and looked up at the eidolon as it stood up straight again, towering over everyone. With unsure glances around Hope examined the materia and the titanic eidolon touched the tip of its index finger to Hope's head, making the young man flinch badly. Silence weigh heavy on the area while everyone watched and waited for whatever might happen until the giant took his finger back.
"Alexander?" Hope asked slowly. The giant nodded in response.
"It has a name?" Jihl asked.
"Yeah. I guess they all do." Hope said while looking around at the other eidolons in awe "This is unbelievable. Academia would do anything to study the eidolons."
"They would be turned into weapons." Sazh said in a correcting tone "More than likely to invade Shinra lands and other countries."
The mention of Shinra reminded Claire of Serah. She silently swore to herself again that she had to find her little sister and get her safely away from Shinra. She turned to face the group she had pulled into the conflict between Shinra and the Sanctum, now including Cetra constructs that were going to be exposed to a brand new world. Though with their last encounter with Sephiroth, Claire felt there was something much bigger at play and she needed answers. But how could she hope to find the silver haired man that could appear and disappear at will?
"Lightning!" All humans shouted together. Claire threw herself into a forward roll not waiting to see what they did. As she rose she pulled out Blaze Edge and landed on her feet in a battle stance to be met with the sight of Sephiroth standing directly behind where she had been a moment ago.
No attacks were sent Sephiroth's way prompting all the humans to look back at the eidolons. The ancient steel giants were frozen midway through preparing attacks and shimmering. Somehow Sephiroth was holding them back, keeping them static.
"We don't have long so let's not waste time," Sephiroth said calmly. His deep smooth voice seeping into everyone's head like an infection "Be a good daughter and hand over the materia, Lightning." He commanded while holding his hand out towards Claire.
"What materia?" Claire asked thinking playing dumb was the way to go.
"Don't insult me with denial. The planet trembled in fear when the Black Materia was uncovered, now please hand it to me."
"Why do you want it?" Vanille asked.
"When the planet is wounded," Sephiroth began as he dropped his hand and swept his gaze over the group "The lifestream is called forward to heal the wound. One has to wonder how much would be needed to treat a wound that threatens the very life of the planet."
"You're going to destroy the world!?" Vanille stated in a shout more than asked.
"No. I am going to wound it," Sephiroth said with a smirk "And when the lifestream is called forward to heal the wound, I will be there." He then turned his glare onto Claire "But I will need the Black Materia."
Hope and Zack immediately fell to their knees and clutched their heads Claire though remained on her feet. It felt like there are thousands of voices screaming in her head and her body was on fire yet she could not move or make a sound. Her hand moved against her will into her pouch and took hold of the black orb. Her feet began to move on their own bringing her closer to Sephiroth and his held out hand even as she silently howled at herself to stop. The fine hairs on her neck stood up and before she knew why Claire turned, easily slid out of the way of Jihl's baton and slammed the materia into the blonde's head, dropping the woman. As she turned to resume her walk towards the monster that looked like her adoptive father, she saw Fang launch herself at the man. He easily deflected her spear with his gloved hand and in that moment Claire felt her body return to her in the smallest amount, nothing more than being able to feel her muscles protesting the movements.
Sazh watched with horror as the pinkette walked towards a man of pure evil with the ultimate weapon but did not move, Sephiroth had proven time and time again that he was hopelessly out of their league and a bullet would not stop him. But maybe it would stop Lightning. Hoping she would forgive him, if they survived this encounter, he took aim at her leg and fired. The bullet drilled through her left calf and went into the ground with a puff of dirt, and the pinkette collapsed from her leg not being able to support the weight. He was glad she stopped but was afraid she would kill him after. A very small part of him was concerned about the blonde commander laying in the dirt but a much bigger part was worried about Fang, who was working on keeping Sephiroth's attention and was succeeding for the moment.
"What do we do!?" Vanille shouted frantically.
"I dunno kid." Sazh answered strangely calmly, even he thought that.
The pilot spared a glance over to the eidolons and was able to see them moving very slowly. Whatever Sephiroth had done to them was wearing off. A sickening crunch turned him back to Fang and Sephiroth in time to see the black haired woman land on her back and the evil man holding her spear. The silver SOLDIER raised the spear and drove the blade through Fang's gut. Vanille cried out for her friend and ran to her while Sephiroth took a look around.
"Seems I've run out of time. We will meet again." Sephiroth said with a smile before vanishing into smoke once again.
Zack and Hope were on their feet the instant after Sephiroth was gone. The eidolons were not far behind them as the two men ran to Fang. However, the woman impaled with her own weapon grabbed the shaft of the double ended spear and pulled it free before anyone could stop her. Everyone got to witness blood pouring freely from the open wound and shortly after, the wound closing before their eyes. Soon after with a few deep breaths Fang stood up and wiped at the blood on her belly, not so much as a scar was left of the wound.
"What the hell?" Sazh whispered.
"That's pretty awesome," Zack said loudly "Wish I healed that fast."
"Fang," Vanille said quietly as she grabbed the woman's arm "Why didn't you tell me?"
"Hey!" Claire shouted to get their attention "Don't forget about me and Jihl!" The pinkette was putting pressure on the bullet holes in her leg and the blonde was still laying face down in the dirt. The group quickly came to help them and the eidolons patched them up with their Cetra magic, though Jihl was showing symptoms of a concussion "So how did you survive getting speared?" Claire asked the dark haired woman.
"No way Sunshine. Yer explaining firs' wha' happened to you." Fang responded "Don' think mah healing thing is gonna ge' one o' us killed in the long run." Claire was starting to hate that woman's accented voice and her stupid smirk.
"I don't know what happened." The pinkette replied honestly "My body wasn't under my control."
"Just glad I had Protect active." Jihl slurred, still suffering from the concussion.
Claire looked down at the Black Materia at the blonde's words. She was not able to trust herself with the dark orb. As long as she carried it, it may as well already be in Sephiroth's hands. The best thing to do would be to send it far away, hide it in some distant land but there was no way of knowing how safe it would really be. Claire thought it would be better left in the hands of someone close and trustworthy but that quickly eliminated Zack and Hope as they were just as compromised with Jenova cells as she was. With her unknown power Fang could protect it but she was unpredictably brash, most likely she would unwittingly drop it into Sephiroth's lap via attacking him. Jihl would most likely use it to further her own goals, whatever they may be. Sazh was wise and level headed, probably the best qualities for someone to protect world-ending power but he had a son he was willing to die for in the hands of the Sanctum. If given the choice, it was likely Sazh would trade the materia for his son. Vanille followed Fang no matter what and was very naïve, not what Claire considered guardian material. Then there's the eidolons, who handed it over in the first place.
"Fang," Claire said as she started walking towards the woman "I need you to hold onto the Black Materia." Fang smiled and took the offered orb.
"Awe…" Fang cooed "But I didn' ge' you anythin'."
Claire gave an annoyed sigh "Shut up, Fang. You're the one that has the best chances of keeping it away from Sephiroth." the pinkette decided unpredictable was better than the other three options.
"Whoa now Sunshine, yer gonna make me swoon with all these gif's and compliments." Fang reply with a laugh as she slipped the Black Materia into a pouch on her waist.
Since everyone else was just enjoying the banter Claire had to push through to the other topic "Why do you heal freakishly fast?"
"A SOLDIER is callin' me a freak?" Fang returned, Zack gave a reluctant agreeing nod and shrug while Claire rolled her eyes "Long story shor', PSICOM."
"PSICOM?" Jihl asked with heavy skepticism in her tone "In case you forgot, I was the commander of PSICOM. I would've known about you. What was your unit number?"
"I was before yer time Blondie. An' it was a big secret. All hush hush."
"So a secret project to make super soldiers? To what? Rival Shinra?" Sazh started in "And how old are you then?"
"Yeah 'xactly tha', Old Man. Kinda surprised Sunshine didn' say anythin' after I shrugged off her punchin' me in the jaw." Fang was rather nonchalant with this whole scenario "Go'a be like sixty-somethin' by now." Everyone's eyes grew wide at that then moved to Vanille.
Vanille was the most taken aback "Fang… You can't be serious…"
"So you were made the equivalent of a SOLDIER, left PSICOM, and hid in Oerba until you came across me Hope and Sazh?" Claire pondered aloud.
"I'm hungry." Zack announced "Let's have story time after we find somewhere or something to eat."
So the group continued through the forest, Vanille offering to lead them towards a farming town that was supposedly nearby.
After leaving the ancient Cetra temple, Avalanche and NORA put as much distance as possible between themselves and the turks before Cid was forced to bring the makeshift barge to shore for the night. A light meal and short discussion about not knowing where to go next later the group bedded down, with the exception of Vincent. No one had easy time sleeping mostly due to the high stress circumstances but Serah was plagued by strange dreams.
Serah was in complete darkness. No light to be seen yet she could see her own body as clear as in the midday sunlight. She stood silently even though there was no floor in this space. She turned around and saw the majesty of the entire galaxy just beyond reach. The countless stars lighting and heating countless planets. She reached out to touch the galaxy but she had to move closer. Her hand hit an invisible wall surrounding the beautiful sight of the entire galaxy laid out before her. An armored hand wrapped around the walled galaxy and pulled it away from Serah, revealing a giant human looking figure in ornate incredibly unwieldy armor with a very tall staff and an immense shield that just floated next to the being. It appeared to be a woman with glowing blue eyes and golden hair that shone brightly. Something told Serah this woman, this being, was impossibly far more than human.
The godly woman held out the galaxy orb and another woman appeared, the apparition Serah saw in the temple after getting the special weapon. That blonde woman reverently took the orb and held it up, out of it came two other other orbs. One shone brilliantly white and the other seemed to devour the light being cast from the white orb.
But then Serah awoke with a horrible pain in her head. She sat up and groaned from the movement making her head spin and her stomach lurch. The odd dream lingered in her memory but the more she focused on it, the more her head pounded, and the more it faded away. She got a drink of water before attempting to get more sleep as the sky was still dark but when morning came they would be on their way. With that in mind, Serah noticed that no one had mentioned where to go next. Perhaps that would be solved in the morning.
Tifa shouting "Aerith! Vincent!" woke her up next, though this time the sun had just come over the horizon "Aerith! Vincent!" Tifa called out again making most of the group rose in high alert.
"What's happening?" Snow called to the brunette as he got ready for a fight.
"Aerith and Vincent are gone!" Tifa called back.
"Sonuva bitch!" Barret growled "I knew we shouldn't o' trusted that freak!"
"Hey now we dunno what's happening yet." Gadot chimed in.
"Yeah," Maqui agreed "Maybe the Turks grabbed Aerith and Vincent is after them."
"Don't be so stupid brat," Cid started in "If the Turks came by we'd all have a bullet in the head."
Serah noticed that Cloud had only just woken up with a start and quickly climbed to his feet and grabbed his sword. He most likely had not yet noticed what was going on, since he was quickly packing up to get ready to move on from this camp site. The blonde called out to Cid without looking, grabbing the pilot's attention.
"Do you know where the forest of glowing white trees is?" Cloud asked completely serious, making a few people wonder what if he was still sane.
"The Forgotten City? That's way up north." Cid answered proving Cloud was still sane "Why?"
"That's where Aerith is going." Cloud reply "She spoke to me in a dream." The group shared some looks Serah was expecting before. Cloud also noticed the looks.
"It's the only lead we have." Serah told the group.
"Vincent must have gone with her." Tifa suggested more than said.
"If that's true," Barret accused "They both have some explaining to do."
"Unless the vampire can fly, we can catch up to them or get ahead of them." Lebreau said loudly as she packed up.
"Everyone get comfy. Gonna be a long ass trip this time." Cid announced as he climbed into the Tiny Bronco.
One long uneventful trip later…
"Goddamn that was awful!" Barret complained as he stretched out and felt several places crack and pop.
"Getting old, Barret." Tifa said with a laugh.
"Shut it Tifa." Barret reply with a very slight smile.
Cid took the lead even though there seemed to be an obvious dirt road leading into the forest ahead of them. Cloud was walking beside the pilot and Serah could tell from his movements that he was getting anxious about something but she pretended to not notice. A cold wind kicked up making many immediately begin complaining and a moment later Serah was face to face with Snow, the giant had stepped in front of her to act as a shield against the wind. He offered her his coat but Serah politely declined it, all because the coat would have been dragging on the ground behind her and could result in crippling her fighting ability.
Not much later absolutely enormous bones came into sight through the trees. Specifically a giant ribcage and a skull no smaller than a house. Most of the group stared in awe as they got closer but Cid made a joke about being glad that creature was extinct. When they crested the hill leading to the bones they saw the village built around them and the wide variety of machines and precisely dug pits. A large sign on the side of the dirt road welcomed the group to Bone Village but that isn't what got their attention. They all saw the vibrant red cloaked figure standing by the nearest building. Cloud was gone in a flash, a full tilt sprint towards Vincent. By the gasps coming from others Serah was glad she was not the only one that forgot just how fast SOLDIER's were. Everyone else went into a light jog to catch up.
Vincent waited until everyone had gathered to speak, even with Cloud questioning and glaring "Aerith is-"
"How did you get here before us?" Yuffie quickly asked, earning a look from the pale man.
"Aerith is in the Forgotten City," Vincent said, ignoring the young ninja "I'm going to guide you through the sleeping forest. Get some supplies, it's a long trip."
Vanille guided the group out of the Sunleth forest to a farming town that clearly was not an isolated town, due to the sight of modern farming machines and equipment. For this reason the group somehow managed to tell the Eidolons to wait in the forest while the humans, and SOLDIERs, ventured into town for supplies. A kind man allowed them to ride in the flatbed of his truck after they convinced him their transport was forced to land after engine trouble. Once in town they were stopped by a local sheriff because of their weapons but Zack pulled his Cavalry identification and rank which promptly got them out of trouble.
Their first stop was a diner for some breakfast, no one spoke while eating and they all pitched in to pay in cash. Before leaving the diner Claire opted to ask where the nearest airport was. When asked she explained if Sephiroth was up north or if they just wanted to fall off of Sanctum's and Shinra's map, Icicle Inn was their best bet. Not as good as Bone Village but Icicle Inn had an airport and regular flights from the opposing nations. There were some questions about possible extreme security up there but Sazh reassured them that the heavy security was specifically for those travelling between the two nations, the northern continent was a neutral zone.
Shopping for supplies was next. A long task but not a difficult one as most of the group were trained soldiers with no small amount of survival skills. As the sun started getting low in the sky the group started making their way back to the forest to regroup with the Eidolons. They found the giants exactly where they left them, standing in their places seeming to have not moved an inch all day.
"So you were with PSICOM?" Jihl asked loudly and abruptly. Fang sigh and sat down prompting some others to join her.
"Yeah. Me and some others were selected," Fang made air quotes as she said selected "To be par' of the project. Me an' my buddy Axel never really trusted the PSICOM eggheads so we stuck together bes' we could. Couple months of training and science-y medical stuff roll by and then the group of people they brought in star' droppin' like flies. Soon i's jus' me an' Axel lef' standin'. Nex' thing I know, Axel is dragging my sorry ass towards an abandoned farmhouse."
"You kind of skipped over some details there." Sazh prods, voicing the common thought.
"That's all I remember, old man. My memory of what happened is kinda fucked." Fang says with a laugh "Axel told me I wrecked the place by myself, really flattened the whole complex. But he wouldn't tell me how."
"So PSICOM made something probably far better than Shinra's SOLDIERs," Jihl summarized, earning a mildly insulted look from Claire and Zack "But kept it secret and then just buried all of it after one misfortune?" Fang gave a slow nod.
"PSICOM is a government agency. The public has the right to know about their actions because its tax money that fuels them." Hope stated "Unlike Shinra, which is privately owned and operated and only needs to answer to their government, which they've had in their pocket for the past however long."
"What happened to Axel?" Zack asked, changing the topic. It made Claire realize that there is one insanely powerful person left unaccounted for on Gran Pulse.
"Dunno." Fang said with a shrug "We hid out fer a while, keepin' out of sight of the Sanctum but they found us eventually. So to better get 'em off our ass we split up. Been a good twen'y years since then."
"And then you came to Oerba three years ago." Vanille said in a solemn tone "You told everyone you were nineteen." Everyone could hear just how hurt and betrayed Vanille was feeling. Fang was obviously feeling terrible about that and the smile she had evaporated into depression.
"I look closer to nineteen than I do to sixty…" Fang said with a weak smile.
Vanille moved up beside Fang and wrapped her slender pale arms around the older tanned woman. Fang sat silent and confused the entire time Vanille was embracing her. Once parted Vanille grabbed Fang's shoulders to make eye contact with her, emerald staring into jade.
"I forgive you for keeping that a secret." Vanille said cheerfully then released Fang's shoulders and sat on her heels. Fang gave a smile.
Claire felt an almost forgotten warmth build in her chest after witnessing the tender moment. She could feel actual hope in heart again. Hope to find her sister, rescue her from the oppressive hands of Shinra. Hope to earn her only remaining family's forgiveness for how she acted when they parted ways in Midgar. She looked up to the knight Eidolon and it looked down at her. Their gazes locked and they nodded to each other, neither needing to speak to know that they had agreed on fighting together, finally accepting each other.
The multi-armed eidolon gave a materia sculpture to Vanille, she took it with a smile and a thankful bow. The tall feminine scythe wielding eidolon gave a materia sculpture to Sazh and pointed to the jacket pocket where he kept a picture of Dajh, his son, then tapped its fist to it's chest where its heart would be. The remaining two blue feminine eidolons produced a materia sculpture together and gave it to Zack. All together the eidolons bow to the group of humans and superhumans, then faded into green-blue wisps and shortly after those faded into nothing. Zack was the first to react.
"Whoa! These are summon materia now!" He shouted like an excited child while looking down at his materia.
It made Jihl look all the more insulted by the situation but Claire knew there was a reason why the eidolons chose who they did. She had no idea what the reason or reasons were but she knew there was at least one. After all, the eidolons were Certa weapons against Jenova supposedly and yet three, technically four, had chosen three people deeply infused with Jenova cells. Claire moved to command the group to begin heading north when her vision flickered and all she could hear was a loud heartbeat.
For a split second she saw a pale man with red eyes and a red headband. She shook her head to clear her vision and the next moment she saw gloved hands raising the Buster Sword above the woman in the pink dress from Midgar, as if the giant blade was going to cleave her in half. Another flicker and she was looking down at the scene, people from Midgar trying to restrain the blond with Angeal's sword. The ground came rushing up toward her and a very long slim blade appeared before her, she was holding it. Claire tried to look away, fought as hard as she could to not witness this scene.
"You will watch." A voice made of both a female voice and Sephiroth said "Fight as hard as you want."
The next moment in the vision, she was on the ground pulling the long free of the woman in the pink dress. She slumped forward onto the ground as if dead. All the people from Midgar, and some she did not recognize called out but all she could hear was the thunderous heartbeat. The blond lifted the woman up to his chest and then ere was Serah. Claire's heart both leapt and dropped at the sight; Serah was alive and had the strangest looking bow but was in danger.
"Do not worry." The combined voices said calmly "Soon the girl will become part of the planet's energy. All that is left is to head North. The Promised Land waits for me over snowy fields. There, I will become a new being by uniting with the planet. As will this girl."
Claire could tell the blond was saying something but she could not hear him. She was furious. She wanted to scream at and kill the voices. Beg them to not make her watch this scene. But all she could do was unwillingly observe.
"What are you saying? Are you trying to convince me you have feelings?" The voices asked. They chuckled after an unheard reply from the blond "Stop acting as if you were sad. There is no need to act as though you're trembling with anger that isn't there. Face it, Cloud. You're nothing but an empty puppet." Claire's vision went dark and she could hear the female voice chuckling "Face it, Claire. You are merely a slave that thinks she has a choice."
Please leave a Review and I will see you all again in chapter 36
