If only…

"I can't do this," and just like that her hand falls away from his face, her gaze falling to the ground.

"I can't be hurt again, I won't let m—I just won't!" And he understands.

"I know," That's why they're here.

The silence stretches on as the green crystals glimmer in the shadows, reminders of something they have not quite forgotten.

…things were different back then.
