Something was running through a forest area. atop on of the trees Null fell out punching the invisible creature hard revealing it to be Lurk Lizard.
"Well well well look who FINALLY decided to join us." He said
"Why are you stopping me? I have to get away from these mad girls!" he shouted while trying to get up.
"Oh no you don't. You expect me to let you go after you messed up your last mission? All you had to do was plant the Keyhole." He countered as he had a firm grip on the lizard's tail.
He looks at the heartless with very nervous eyes.
"Seriously you had one job. ONE. JOB. enlighten me as to what happened."
"Well… uhm… what... " he stammered, trying to find the right words.
"You got distracted by your little "Hobby" didn't you?" Null deadpanned, and as answer he got a very weak laugh, this resulted in Null punching the Lizard heartless again.
"Maybe I should tell the higher ups about this and let them deal with you."
"BUT I TOLD EVERYBODY I AM NOT FIT FOR THIS KIND OF BUSINESS!" he whined.
Null soon remembered something. "Wait didn't you say you were being chased by someone?"
"A crazy, black scythe swinging, blue haired magic using girl!" he shouts "And some kids wearing dragon armor as well as some ninja looking rabbit eared boy."
"How did you escape?"
"I turned invisible and bolted the SECOND I got here."
"I see. Tell me do you still have the Keyhole?"
"uh…" he began and starts looking over himself.
"You lost it, didn't you?"
"i… don't know" he admits, still looking.
"...I see...Well I'm going to give you a benefit of a doubt and be on my way. I have my own business to take care off. Find the Keyhole and plant it. Understand?"
He nodded and told "Yes! I- I will do my best."
"And I get that this might be hard but do your best to not get distracted."
He nodded and gulped down, hard. Also wondering why Null said that… like… are here so many girls?
On the next day, a dark cloud was above the lands before starks happened and a purple ball exits it, heading towards a place below. Inside this purple ball were a blond haired boy with bright blue hair and a brown haired girl in there. As well a brown dog.
Not far was a blue ball with a black haired girl and a cat, heading for a different place. The boy in the purple ball called out "Becky, the view is really great."
The girl that has her eyes closed up until now, opened her eyes and gasped . Then suddenly a black cloud is surrounding each of the balls.
"What… what is going on?" asks Becky.
The boy who looked around hectic caleld "Not a single clue!"
"EEEK! What is this?!" shouts the girl in the blue sphere as the dark cloud surrounds it and shoots towards a castle, where at the end of a bridge raises a stone platform.
The dark cloud covered orb heads towards an altar, where a pink haired girl with dog ears were rushing up, looking worried that the orb was covered in a black cloud. It lands on the altar and disperses. The boy, Becky and the dog looked fine, to the pink girls relieve… but looked puzzled that two more people were with them.
One of them was a black armored man with long hanging bunny ears. To his feet laid a white mask which should have covered his face which spots a pair of green eyes and a puff of blond hair. The other young man appeared to be wearing white armor with a dragon like design on his helmet that covered his face.
"Who… who are you?" asks the girl with the dog features nervously while the boy and Becky were looking confused at the additional arrivals.
The boy with the bunny ears looking around and mused "Ok… given where we entered, I am sure we shouldn't be here… let alone only two of us…"
"Hmm separated again huh? For some reason I'm not surprised…Well here's hoping the others are ok." The armored young man added.
"Who… are you?" asked the girl again.
Looking around, the rabbit eared one told "Gureo."
"You may call me Erin." the other added.
"Uhm… I am Millhaire Firianno Biscotti" told the pink haired girl.
"I am Cinque Izumi and this is my friend Rebecca Anderson" told the boy "But… why are you… here at the summoning point?"
"Well… we were traveling through magic and seems it has interference with your summoning… causing us to be with you." guessed Gureo "Was somebody else summoned? Because we should be with two more girls."
Cinque and Becky looked at each other "Nanami!"
At the same moment Serena and Eris stood with the black haired girl on a floating rock with a platform as well and looked at a white haired woman with cat ears and tail with with golden eyes and wears a blue uniform. And she holds a very large axe in her hands demanding "Who are you two? And why are with my summoned hero?"
Serena swings her arm, having a black scythe in her hand declaring "I have no idea! But my name is Serena! And I am not in good mood!"
Eris was quick to grab Serena's scythe. "Jeez calm down! I get your mad but you shouldn't take it out on these guys." She said before introducing herself "My name is Eris by the way...sorry but you huh, kind of caught us at a bad time here."
"What… is going on?" asked the black haired girl, sounding very nervous about the sudden turns of events.
"Well we were kinda chasing this freaky lizard thing when your summoning sort of sent us here. not to mention that this made us get separated from some friends of ours in the process." Eris explained.
"Your summoning spell is very crude" told Serena "it interference with my dark corridor. I assume it was originally intended for only one way summons with at best sending a scout out."
"Heh!" told the white haired girl "You know your magic stuff I take?" while putting her weapon on the shoulder.
"Took a lot of study" stated Serena "Now… we have to clear where we are now. And where this pervert of a lizard is so I cut him into pieces!"
"Shouldn't we also wonder where the others are?" Eris asked.
"Good question… was somebody else summoned today?"
"I think I know where your friends might be" told the white haired girl.
"Really? Where?"
In a castle Becky, Sink and Millhiore (Millihi) are sitting with Erin and Gureo who said "So… let me get it straight: Sink is here is the hero of the Biscotti Republic, Becky here is brought along as guest and it is planned they spend their Golden Week here while his cousin, a girl named Nanami got summoned by the princess friend-slash-ally, the princess of Galette Lion Territory, Leonmitchelli Galette des Rois. And your idea is since we got caught by your summoning, our missing girls might be by them?"
"That's in short our theory" admits Sink.
"Well I suppose that might be possible, but the only way to know for sure would have to be going over there and see for ourselves." Erin stated.
"Well we have a war scheduled for Sinks return" told the princess, Millihi "So we could ask them on the way."
Gureo raised an eyebrow "You make it sound like war isn't a bad thing."
"I get that you two might find this hard to understand but war here is NOT a vicious battle to the death I plays out more like a friendly competition." Sink explained.
"Uh, wait what?" Erin wondered.
"Even though War is still a way to resolve dispute between countries no one really dies."
"Mid explaining?" Erin asked.
"You see, the wars here are more sport competitions." explains Sink "And nobody has to worry about dying. The people here just turn into flurry balls of their representative species."
Gureo leans back "Sounds like something a friend of mine would jump into just to show off."
"While I admit the concept is...Unusual. It does sound rather nice in terms of the whole not dying thing." Erin added.
"Exception are those who are not from this world" added the princess "They can still be hurt badly."
"Well I guess that makes sense considering the whole beings from different worlds thing." Erin stated.
"Do you want to join?" asks Gureo.
"Do you?"
"Not sure" he restated.
"Well I know this much if things are the way these people say then chances are Srena will probably join just to let off some steam." Erin said before the two boys shuddered at the tough what kind of damage she'd do. "If anything we should join just to make things a bit more bearable for these guys." He sweatdropped.
"Just who thought letting her move around was a wise idea… she is a walking magic nuke" muttered Gureo and sighs "Fine… we are joining as well… even if it is to reduce the crater sizes."
"Oh umm, alright then…?" Princess Millihi stated, though still a little confused as to what there were talking about.
"Trust me If our friends ARE on the other side of this war you're going to need all the help you can get." Erin said.
"Your firends sound really strong." The boy Sink stated.
"Trust us they are."
"Yeah… beating up the entire roster of Super Smash Bros Melee isn't something you do everyday."
"You just made it sound like this game was a real thing" stated Becky
"Look just take our word on it, speaking of competition should we be getting ready or something?"
"If you don't mind… could you perhaps wear our armies uniforms for it?" asked the princess.
"Could we at least keep our head gear on?" Erin asked.
"that is not a problem. Just wear something that indicates your side" explains the Princess
"Alright."
Later fireworks explode in the air and loud cheers. In front of magical camera structures and a large screen was a light brown haired man announcing "The sun is high today and it's perfect weather for a battle!"
Also he stated "The stars haven't arrived yet but the battle between Biscotty and Galette has already begun! I am your host and commentator Franbouse Charlie from Galette National Broadcasting and next to me is…"
"Percy Gaudi from Biscotti National Broadcasting!" replied a dark brown haired girl next to him.
After a few more cheers, Percy continued "We also have guest commentators from both nations!"
"From Gallate, we have the Head Knight, General Bernhaird" announces Charlie, pointing to a bright blond man with golden eyes.
"Hello"
"As well Leo-Sama's personal assistant, Violette-san!"
"Good afternoon!"
"From Biscotti, we have Roland, leader of the knights!" answered Percy holing had a blond haired man with green eyes.
"Present!"
"As well as the leader of hte covert squad, Lord d'Arquien!"
"hello!" answered the reddish haired woman with purle eyes.
"We'll bringing you today's heated battle along with these guests!" annoucnes Becky
"So, today's battle is a "Welcome back, Hero!" even, correct?" asked Charlie
Roland answered "Yes. Today's star Biscotti's Hero, will be arriving shortly!"
"Our Princess and guard squad leaders are with him." answered d'Ardquen
"Leo-sama is on the way, too!"
"Lord Gaul is, as well."
During the following cheers, Charlie called "Knights, warriors, and audience! There will be chaos when the Hero and Galette's main force arrives!"
"Work hard and gain points, while you still have time!"
Meanwhile after getting changed into new outfits, Erin, Sink an Gureo mounted some giant bird like creatures.
"Wait the battle already started?" Erin asked.
"Yes! Didn't you notice the monitors hanging around, broadcasting?" asks Gureo "Also we are told we have to arrive after the "Hero" to show ourselves as surprise guest… and in case Serena and your sister are really fighting in there."
"I'm just saying you'd think these guys would wait until everyone is here."
Gureo shrugged "Perhaps it was planned? I mean the organization for our side did complain that we weren't announced, and that our inclusions were not really part of the hero clause"
"Yeah I guess that's true." Erin said before they began riding off.
At this moment, in the camp of Glette fire work erupts and three girls stood there. One with rabbit ears and blond hair another with cat, pardon, lion ears with brown hair and a blond front. The third was a black haired, red eyes lion girl. According to the announcer these were the Génoise, the bodyguard team of the first prince of Galette, Gaul.
Gureo wasn't able to hear what the three said but then he saw the white haired, golden eyes boy jumping up from the lightshow and makes an impact by showing that his weapons of choice are claws on hand and feets formed by magic.
The other three weapons were a giant axe (How can this girl carry it?), a bow with magic arrows and a combination of thrown swords and short swords.
As these four were storming through the rows, heading for the own headquarters, Gureo mused "I bet now it will be time that the great hero makes his entrance by stopping this onslaught just before reaching the princess."
"Heh, yeah I'd imagine it would." Sink smiled before summoning a staff into his hands and rushing off to clash with Gaul.
"We better keep ourselves in the background until the other two show up" suggested Gureo "Then we can act as counter surprise"
"THAT will have to depend on how soon Serena and Eris will act." Erin pointed out.
"Given that Sink will have an impact, they need an counteract." set Gureo in "They know after all about Sinks appearance."
just the an explosion surrounded the three girls on the enemy team and when it settled they appeared to be missing there clothes.
"Ok wow that happened...Why is that a thing?" Erin wondered.
"And why didn't they turn into fuzzballs like everybody else so far?"
"Hmm….Maybe it's a gender thing."
Just then another giant monitor appeared revealing the white haired woman.
"It's been a long time Sink, Hero of Bicotti."
"Your Excellency!" Sink smiled.
"Oh it's Leo-sama!" Someone said.
"I'm glad to see you've come back stronger. However we won't be defeated. For we have our OWN hero this time around."
"Do you think the girls we are missing or Sinks cousin?" asks Gureo "Ten Mummy it is the cousin."
Another Fireworks display came before a black haired girl carrying a staff like Sink's soon appeared.
"Following Leo-sama's Invitation. Galette's Hero: Takatsuki Nanami!" She introduced herself
"Yup definitely his Cousin." Erin mused.
"And she brought two sidekicks with her!" announced Leo and more fire works appear as suddenly one glowing ball formed in the sky. From the ball several fire balls got fired off, raining down at the battlefield.
"First the hard hitting Brawler Eris!" Leo announced as Eris lept high into the sky crashing into the field in a display of power
"As well as the powerful mage Serena Yuma!" called the ruler.
Gureo stopped his tracks at the name "Wait! Yuma? YUMA?" as Serena became visible as the ball disperses standing on a crystal platform which had the form of a star before she waves her hand and small meteors rained on the people on the battlefield, decimating the forces greatly.
"Oh..Right we were about to explain that to you two." Erin remembered.
"You… knew?" asks Gureo "How?"
"Me and my sister have the ability to see the aura of others remember. We were about to bring that up...but then everything else happened and I guess we kinda forgot about it…" Erin sweat dropped.
"I wonder how she reacts when she learns she has a sibling." muttered Gureo before wondering.
"Well in any case I do belive that would be our cue."
Indeed, the face of the princess were seen "It is really a surprise Leo sama! IT seems it is my turn to announce we have sidekicks for our hero as well."
"First up is the brave young fencer: Erin!" Millihi announced as Erin simply walked out and gave everyone watching a respectful bow.
"And here is also the wandering warrior Gureo!" she added while the said Taguel walked out while holding his fists up.
"This is a first folks. Both sides not only having there own Hero but also several other acting as wildcards! This war is getting even more intense by the second." One of the announcers stated.
"So they have matching clothes too huh? Neat." Eris said before grabbing one of the warriors that was rushing in at her and throwing him into a group of other soldiers.
"Looks like I was underestimating them" stated Serena, while shooting a few thunderbolts. "I suggest we stay clear of the hero battle."
"Sounds fair." Eris shrugged.
Just then Erin appeared in front of Eris as the soldiers behind him were taken out.
"Matching cloths too huh?" He asked.
"Yeah, neat right?" Eris smiled.
Serena was blasting around before she had to create a shield to block a strike from Gureo "Serena! We have to talk!"
"Has to wait until after the match!" countered the girl.
"Wait about what?" Eris asked.
"We forgot to tell them." Erin answered.
"About wha-...OH right...wait we didn't tell them? Could have sworn we did."
"Apparently we didn't."
While the four from the other dimension were duking it out, Sink were approaching his cousin. He reaches her as she had cleaned up a bridge section of the battlefield
Holding the own staff, the female hero stated "All right, Sink, I won't hold back!"
Sinks reply was "Ready… go!"
And with that the two Heros clashed, causing shockwaves which were clearing the nearby fields as Leon was ready to fight as well, with two opponents at the same time.
As that was going on the other four we battling themselves.
Gureo were jumping around to avoid the different fire, thunder and ice spells of Serena who fired them relentless against the two boys.
Erin dodged and blocked most of the shots before being grabbed by the legs be Eris.
"Uh-oh…" He sweat dropped before being sent flying into Gureo. The Taguel saw it and throw himself on the ground to avoid being hit by the flying half dragon.
When he got up he saw Eris already near him before sent flying also. The two land in water, which were bombarded with ice to freeze it over. Once the entire lake were frozen, Serena mused "Should I unfreeze them?"
Before Eris could react a section of the frozen lake suddenly got sliced up before Erin jumped out. "Sorry but you're going to have to try a bit harder."
"Did you have to wait so long?" gasped Gureo, as he climbed out of the water with coughs. "A second later and I would have drown."
"I went as fast as I can in an underwater situation alright? Cut me some slack, besides Serena was the one who tried to drown us not me." the Half dragon huffed.
"I just wanted to hurl a meteor to unfreeze you!" told Serena with a huff
"Oh well isn't that nice?" Erin said sarcastically.
"You are aware that this could kill us?"
"You are thought guys as far I can tell" she smirks while spinning her scythe a little.
Erin rolled his eyes before rushing in at high speeds slashing at Serena. Only that he suddenly was hitting a shield that had appeared in front of her, more or less confirming him whose girl he is dealng with.
"A dark shield?" asks Gureo in surprise.
"I know you have questions but try to focus." Eris said to the tanguel
"Easier said than done!" muttered the sword user while he saw that troops of the two armies are rushing towards them. And Serena prepared fire spells to rain down on those she oppose in this match.
However this was interrupted as Erin assaulted Serena flurry of fist trust that she found difficult to doge. "Hey! Take care of your sibling!2 she shouts while Gureo was jumping around said sibling.
"Even so, Can't have you racking up points now can I?" Erin mused.
"In your dreams!" she smirks and gets a shield up again to block his attacks.
As that was happening Eris was having a bit of trouble keeping up with Gureo. Especially as a kick against the back of the knees happened, foring him to be on the knees and Gureo at his sword against her neck.
"Not bad." She said before sweeping him off his feet and punched his stomach sending flying a few feet. "But not good enough."
"Damm! Do I have to kill you for your to accept defeat?" he asks. HE could have ended it right now if he were intended to kill.
"Funny, I'm starting to think the same thing."
"Survive in a zombie infested world first!"
"Alright then." She smirked, cracking her knuckles. Just before they were jumped at each other, they were swept away as a large blast happened from the direction where the two heroes are fighting. Serena looked over and mused "I take we have to wait for later."
"What the heck was that?" Erin asked.
"The clash of two strong magical blasts" stated the blue haired girl
"Amazing how surprisingly strong they are."
"Esspecially since one of them is doing this stuff the first time."
"How the hell is she THIS strong in the first place do you have any idea just how much training me and my brother went through just to get this tough? seriously how is this possible?" Eris ranted.
"Its raw uncontrolled strength. No finesse" stated Serena "I was able to do something familiar at the age of four as I discovered my talents."
"Yeah but even newbie's should be having SOME kind of trouble dealing with this kind of battle. It's bull crap!"
"Well perhaps it has something to do that they are using sacred weapons?" guessed Gureo.
"But there still newbie's!" Eris countered.
"LET IT GO ALREDY!" Erin demand
"NEVER!"
"Did I miss something?" asked Serena in confusion.
"Just...Don't worry about it." Erin simply replied.
"Alright… back to the camps?"
"Yeah I guess…."
So they split paths and Serena asks Erin "Anything I should know?"
"Oh that...Um well...Well I can really explaining so I'm just going to say it: You and Gureo have the same Dad."
"Wait what? Dad cheated on mom?"
"No I don't think it was anything like that. I'm positive that your dad and his dad are paraless of one another and his vision stayed with his mom...If that makes sense."
"Travel through dimensions… such headaches" she sighs loudly.
"You get use to it...In any case I imagine you want to talk to your half-brother?"
"After the war" she stated.
"Right." Meanwhile Eris was talking to Gureo.
"Are you serious we didn't tell you?"
"Not a single word!" he stated "Have you any idea how I feel, knowing that dad finds somebody else in the dimensions"
"Well it's not COMPLETELY the same person. your dad stayed with your family, while her version stayed with her family."
"Mine is dead" he stated
"O-Oh...I'm sorry to hear."
"My whole home is gone… thanks to Grima." stated Gureo
"Grima?"
"Demon dragon. Only wishes to destroy everything who doesn't serve him. Wiped my whole world out."
"Yikes...Again sorry."
"You are not responsible for it."
Soon the four met up, AAAANNNNNNNNDDDDD it started with awkward stares between the two half siblings, not sure how to handle the info that they are related… even by huge complicated twists in the multiverse.
"Do you want us to leave you two alone or something?" Eris asked.
"I doubt that would help much" stated Gureo
"Yeah… I have… to take a moment to accept that I have a Taguel as brother. While I understand it, it is just… weird" answered the girl.
"Well alright then." Eris said before leaving with her brother following
"So Panne eh? Nice looking girl." stated Serena "Thought I am not trying to compare her with my mother."
"Which child could make an unbiased statement about their parents compared to others?" agreed Gureo "It is already something odd to know that I have such a temperamental Sister."
"And me such a drama filled brother. Together with a punch crazy one."
"You have a younger brother?"
""Yes. Ancelot is his name."
"Perhaps we can meet each other one day" stated the Taguel
"Perhaps."
Then the two began to laugh and they began to chat about other possible half siblings they might have in this vast multiverse.
"Well they seem to be taking it surprisingly well." Erin said.
"Yeah...Don't we have interdimensional siblings?" Eris asked.
"Yeah tons. Dad even introduced us to some of them when we were young remember.
"Not entirely. Think we might bump into them?
"It's possible. But until then we need to find Lurk Lizard wherever that slimy thing might be hiding."
"I just want to kill him" stated Serena with growl while playing a little with her scythe."
"Pretty sure we need to find him for that." Eris said.
"He didn't steal your underwear." she mumbled.
"Yeah, but still."
She crossed her arms. "So… what to do?"
"Good question." Erin said.
They then noticed a shadow and as they saw up, they saw giant birds and a platform hold up by four of them.
"Uninvited guests?" asks Gureo.
"Looks like it…"
"Is this turning intoa three way war?" asks Serena while shouldering her weapon.
"Could be." Eris shrugged.
"We should head back to our representative camps."
"Sounds good." Erin said before the four did so.
As Gureo and Erin reaches their camp, Sink was already to them "We got a kidnapping at our hand."
"What do you mean?"
"The flyers who came are from Pastillage and they took Becky" told the boy "Soon the details will be announced about this."
"Why would anyone kidnap her?" Erin asked.
"Well… not sure to be honest. Why would the leader of a country known for air dominance kidnap my friend?"
Later the announcement came "Now that the lunch break is over, the afternoon activities can begin!"
"bot armies have ordered their formations and are perfectly prepared! Our analysts are joining the afternoon battle as well! Our two leaders have taken their command posts in their respective Headquarters!"
"The princess looks so dignified in her battle clothes."
The afternoon's deciding battle is about to…"
"PUT THAT WAR ON HOLD!" called a new voice, and everybody looks up at the monitors.
A girl with squirrel tail and ears called "It's me, the First Princess of the Principality of Pastillage, Couverte Eschenbach Pastillage!" and laughed loudly.
Gureo looks at Sink and stated "You missed to tell us that our third party are squirrel people."
"Kind of makes you wonder what other type of animal people are in this world." Erin said.
"Cou-sama, what's the occasion today?" Millhi asked.
"You know what's up Millhi-nee! And you too Leo-nee!" Couverte said to the two other leaders.
"Oh my god she's adorable…" Eris said to herself.
"What? Me,too?" Leo wondered.
"I know war games aren't that popular in our lands. But it's not fair that only you two get to summon a hero and have fun!" The squirrel girl explained in an almost pouty manner.
"Oh I see where this is going." Erin muttered.
"All this for just an own hero?" asks Serena "I can really think of better ideas of getting one in regards of the set rules." while waved her arm and a blue chocobo like bird with black lines, familiar to her own hair walks towards the magician and she moves on it while taking the reigns.
"I'd be happy if you wanted to join" stated Millhi "But what should we do about rules and winning conditions?"
"About that." grinned the princess grinned and points to Becky "my target is her! I'm going to take our guest from the other world as a hostage" and while the two girls were brought on the platform which was lowered behind them "I fell in love with her on the first sight! If you want her back, you'll have to defeat Pastillage's pride, the 40 airborne knights and 150 Eschenback High Speed Cavalry before you can get to me!"
Seeing the flying enemies Gureo sighs "I wish I had a Pegasus…"
While in the other camp Serena mused "I know a half dragon who would love to play with them in the air."
"Aside from me and my brother?" Asked Eris.
"On the second thought… you would be first priority" Serena stated "You punch better"
"Thanks." Eris smiled before going off the challenge the third army as. Back at the other camp her brother was going to do the same.
"Probably goes without saying that I have a better chance if these Pastillages species in air combat."
"Then I am going for their ground forces" stated Gureo "That way we should be able to maximise our chances… especially since i think both of our sisters are going to attack the air force."
Looking back at the screens he mused "I think we are about to start this three way war."
Just then everyone watching became awestruck to see the two half breeds transform into dragons before flying off.
Serena rode with a group of soldiers to engage the newcomers and she made quite a display as she called upon her favorite weapon, her scythe.
Meanwhile Eris was blasting through some of the troops with a torrent of fire.
Erin dodged the troops that were charging at him before swinging his blade at a blinding speed to take them out.
Gureo was into a more or less hidden section of the battlefield to attack the troops from the side, while Serena has joined a group of both armies and provided with shields to cover their movement forward.
Eris saw her brother and threw a troop by him getting his attention.
"Oh come on, is a distraction really necessary? I mean there's two of you and one of me." He said.
"Well, it's been awhile since we had a go." She mused.
"I guess you're right." He said before the two dragons began to clash.
Serena notices the two fighting and muttered "Is it so hard to concentrate on the nunsense first before going for each other?" while sending a spell at the rows of riders in front of her to take out their gunners.
Several troops who were caught in the middle of the two got blasted away as they continued to spar.
"Well I mean it's not like these guys are tough or anything...Well compared to us I mean." Eris said before dodging Erin who rushed in.
She sighs and they rushes more.
Suddenly shots came seemingly out of nowhere knocking the three away.
