A/N: Another chapter :)

Firstly, shoutout to my 400th follower - user funzel! Thanks for following! Thank you all for following actually! =D

Secondly... *sigh* I appreciate all reviews and feedback I get on this story! I really, really do! =D However, drama... yes I am aware that I do not put much drama in between Dani and Santana. Honestly, it's not something I really want to do. A strong relationship isn't always gained from drama in between too people. You guys want jealousy and resentment or whatever... and those are not things that are needed to happen to build a good relationship. Yes, it makes a good story, but I do include drama from outside factors that put stress on Dani or Santana or both of them, so it's not like the entire story is fluffy or anything. =D

Also, I can either write fluffier stories with outside drama, or I can write angsty stories with angst and drama in between the couple. It's hard for me to write a mix of that, honestly, so I apologize.

Sorry about that. Just had to address it in this A/N before I forgot to mention it.

October rolled in, and it wasn't looking to be a very eventful month. Although, Rachel, Kurt and Blaine were planning a Halloween Party on Halloween, which was falling on a Friday. Santana and Dani were obviously going to go, though Dani had no idea what she was going to dress up as. Santana said that they could go naked and say that they were dressing up as women from before clothing was invented, but Dani quickly vetoed that idea.

Dani and Santana had been maintaining their busy weeks as they reached the middle of October. Santana came into the studio with Dani every Wednesday, always making sure to send a glare to Isabelle for staring at the blonde. She was almost done recording her parts in Dani's songs, and Dani had already finished one of the other songs. All in all, the recording was going great.

Also, the Thursday in the middle of the month was the day that the first episode of The New NY Life that had Santana in it was airing. That morning, both Dani and her girlfriend woke up excited to watch it. The cast had already watched it the day before, but Santana said she couldn't wait to watch it while it was live and people were actually watching her on television.

Unfortunately, though, Santana still had to go onto set that morning, so she left pretty early. Dani didn't have work at the diner that day, which was very surprising. It was literally her first empty day in weeks. She found herself writing drabbles for future songs, and cleaning up the apartment a bit.

When she got bored of that, she opened up her laptop and started looking for some good costumes for Rachel's Halloween Party. They were all relatively boring and unattractive, so she searched "Sexy Halloween Costumes". A bunch of revealing outfits appeared, and Dani smiled. Santana would love these. As she scrolled through them, she heard a knock on the door of her apartment. She stood, wondering who would be here, and went to the door.

When she opened it, she gaped at the person standing there. A tall girl, with thick, wavy blond hair and dazzling blue eyes. She was wearing short shorts, despite the weather, and a tank top. Dani would've been crazy not to recognize her, since she looked exactly the same as she had in high school.

"Hey, Dani," Reanna greeted, pushing past the other blonde in to the apartment. "Cute place."

"Excuse me, but what the hell are you doing here? How do you even know where I live? And don't say you got my address from my sister," Dani practically growled.

"Nope, found it myself. Don't ask, it took a lot of effort," Reanna muttered, walking through the kitchen looking for something that might interest her.

"Well, I think you wasted your time, and you should leave," Dani told her firmly. Reanna pouted and turned to face the shorter girl.

"Aw, you can't be kicking me out," Reanna whined in a fake voice. Dani had never realized just how annoying Reanna was. It wasn't hard to understand why, though, considering they never did much talking when they knew each other in high school.

"Reanna—"

"You look a lot different," Reanna commented, interrupting Dani. "The hair is interesting. I always liked you brunette, but the blond color works. The tattoo is cute too. And is it me, or have you lost weight?"

"Stop, Reanna, you really should just leave," Dani insisted. She didn't want to get angry, because she would probably get kind of crazy. Dani had never planned to hear from Reanna again, let alone have her in her apartment.

Reanna crossed her arms. "Why? Mystery girl going to come home soon?"

Actually, Santana was supposed to be home soon, but not at least for another ten minutes "Oh don't sound so bitter," Dani snapped at her. "I told you, I don't have feelings for you, and you're not going to 'win me back' or whatever."

"Babe, I bet if you let me have one night with you, or even an hour, you would so change your mind," Reanna insisted, stepping closer to the shorter girl. Dani immediately stepped away, feeling a little uncomfortable all of the sudden.

"I wouldn't be so sure," she said firmly. Reanna pouted, and moved to wrap her arms around Dani, who pushed her away immediately. When Reanna tried yet again, Dani couldn't help it as she landed a slap on the other girl's cheek. Reanna's eyes were wide as she touched her cheek.

Dani bit her lip, and crossed her arms over her chest nervously. "What the hell, Danielle?" Reanna growled.

"It's Dani," she snapped. "And I think you should leave now."

"Yeah, I think so, too," Reanna agreed bitterly, before turning and leaving the apartment. Dani was breathing heavily from the rage she was feeling. She collapsed onto the couch.

She knew that Reanna wouldn't press charges against her. She wasn't that kind of girl. And if she had to, Dani would say it was self defense. Reanna had stormed into her house and had tried to grab her... Technically, there was no telling what she was trying to do.

The door opened again, and Dani spun her head around on the couch, but it was only Santana. "Weirdest thing, I just saw some weird blonde chick running out of the building fuming. I've never seen her here before, like ever."

"That was Reanna," Dani grumbled, collapsing onto her back on the couch, so that she was no longer sitting upright.

Santana moved around to the front of the couch and Dani lifted her head, allowing Santana to sit on the couch. Dani stared up at her girlfriend once her head was in Santana's lap. "What happened?"

"She came in here trying to tell me all this shit, and she got a little too close to me and I kind of smacked her across the face," Dani muttered.

Santana quirked up an eyebrow. "Oh really? I bet that was hot."

Dani let out a light laugh. "I'm sure it was. It felt pretty damn good, too. That bitch needs to stay away from me."

"Agreed." Santana ran her fingers through Dani's soft hair. "I can't believe she came here. That bitch must be batshit crazy. Are you okay?"

"Better, now that you're here," Dani whispered out. "Is there always going to be something horrible going on that has to do with my past? Because between my parents and Reanna, it's kind of getting annoying."

Santana chuckled. "I sure hope not. It would be a little depressing."

They were silent for a moment, and Dani closed her eyes. She loved it when Santana played with her hair.

"Speaking of parents," Santana piped up suddenly, "mine asked if we want to go to their place for Thanksgiving."

Dani opened her eyes and beamed up at her girlfriend. "I hope you told them yes!"

"Well, I told them I'd ask you," Santana said with a laugh. "But I figured you'd say yes."

"Oh, that's perfect then, too, because Kurt and Blaine's wedding is on the Saturday after, right?" Dani asked. Santana nodded.

"And speaking of that, we're getting fitted for bridesmaid dresses tomorrow," Santana told her, with a roll of her eyes. "Weddings are so annoying."

"You won't be saying that one day when we're planning our wedding," Dani assured the Latina, smiling dreamily.

Santana bit her lip to hold back a huge grin. "Nope, but until then, I'm allowed to say it."

"Do you know what color we have to wear?" Dani asked. "I really hope it's not something weird like orange."

That got a laugh from the Latina. "Yellow and green are the colors," she told Dani. "I'm wearing green, you're wearing yellow."

"I hope it's a pretty yellow," Dani muttered.

"Picky," Santana accused her. "But anyway, it's Kurt's wedding. It couldn't not be pretty."

"Hm, point taken," Dani returned with a smile. "Oh hey, what time does the show air again?"

"Um, six," the Latina answered. She glanced at her phone. "In five minutes!"

Dani sat up and turned on the TV, tossing the remote to Santana once she'd done so. Then she grabbed some chips from the kitchen and poured them in a bowl to bring to the couch.

As the show started, Dani curled into Santana's side and started munching on the chips. She waited patiently to see her girlfriend's face on the screen, and when she did, she squealed. "Oh my gosh it's you on TV!"

"I know!" Santana exclaimed, equally excited.

They pretty much fangirled about it during the whole show, and when it ended, too. Dani couldn't believe it, Santana was actually on a TV show that aired in all of the US. That was pretty amazing.

When it was over, Dani wrapped her arms around her girlfriend. "I'm so proud of you, babe."

The next day, they got fitted for their dresses for Kurt and Blaine's wedding. Rachel, Tina, Quinn, Brittany and Mercedes were there as well, all trying on green and yellow dresses. It made the whole thing a little more enjoyable, considering how Kurt kept ordering them to turn, or to try a different size, or a different dress entirely.

Man, Kurt was very strict about clothing.

Once he finally decided on the dresses for each of them, they were "dismissed". Since they were all already together, they went out to a restaurant that looked good and had a big dinner together.

Dani noticed that her phone kept ringing, and it was Reanna every time. Dani ignored it and put the thing on silent, keeping it at the bottom of her purse. She really didn't need to hear anymore from that bitch.

At the end of their group dinner, they all started asking about Thanksgiving. They were all planning on coming down for Halloween weekend for the party, and they were obviously going to Kurt and Blaine's wedding.

Turns out, everyone was going to see their parents for Thanksgiving. Zach was going to go with Brittany to her place, to meet her parents, and Dani was going with Santana to Lima, since she was sure that her parents didn't want to have Thanksgiving with her. Anyway, it was convenient since Kurt and Blaine were having their wedding in Lima rather than in New York.

That was sweet, since everyone would be able to get there easier, but Dani couldn't help but note that when she married Santana, she wanted to be in New York. It was the city of her dreams, the one place she'd ever found happiness in. She sure as hell wasn't going to go back to Iowa for her wedding, and she was sure that Santana wouldn't mind not having it in Lima.

Everyone started saying their goodbyes and goodnights and then they all split up again. None of the times they all ever got together ended up being very long, but since they all met up so often, it felt like they might as well live just down the street.

After that, the second half of October flew by pretty quickly. The day before the Halloween Party, Santana and Dani decided on their costumes. Well, actually Santana had been planning it, but Dani didn't find out until the day before.

They were going to be Cheerios.

Santana said she still had her old uniform, and she'd gotten Kitty to send her another one for Dani. The blonde wasn't totally opposed to the idea, and the costume had a really short skirt, so it passed her approval.

It was Thursday, so Santana was on set until later in the afternoon. So after Dani's morning shift at the Spotlight Diner, she had to go to the post office where she was supposed to receive packages. She hoped that Kitty had sent the uniform to the right address so she didn't have to be normally clothed at the Halloween Party.

Luckily, the uniform was there when Dani checked, and as she put it in her car and began to drive back home, her phone rang. She answered it without glancing at the Caller ID, and her a voice she definitely hadn't been expecting.

"Dani," came her father's voice.

"Um, oh, uh, dad," Dani stammered, not really sure what she was supposed to say to her dad.

"I'd like to... personally apologize for err, how our dinner went a few weeks ago," he told her.

"Okay," Dani said, watching the road carefully as she drove. I still don't forgive you, she thought in the back of her mind.

He cleared his throat. "Your mother and I realize that we've screwed up pretty badly. But... well, we have the week off for Thanksgiving, and we thought maybe you and Santana could come to our place for dinner."

Dani's eyes widened. Her parents wanted her and Santana to come to their place for Thanksgiving dinner? Who the hell was this and what had he done to her father? "Oh... uh, thanks but, we're going to Lima for Thanksgiving. Kurt and Blaine are getting married the Saturday after, so we were going down a few days earlier to have dinner with Santana's family."

"Oh... um..." It sounded as though her father was saying something to someone else, probably her mom. "What if... what if we came to Lima and joined you?"

Ohh emm gee!

Firstly, to respond to a guest review I received questioning the reason why I don't post lyrics to Dani's songs... also suggesting I use Demi's songs... the thing is, I really don't want to use a pre-written song for Dani's song. Especially not Demi's, because although some of the FFs that I read that did that were absolutely amazing, it kind of bothers me. Just because, Dani isn't Demi... I'm sorry, that's just my opinion. ^.^ If anyone is an excellent songwriter here and would like to give me some lyrics to use (with credit of course), it would be welcome. ^.^

OOH YES! ANOTHER SHOUTOUT! The idea for the slap from Dani to Reanna was not my idea. I had been planning some sort of confrontation previous to the idea I received, but I really did like the idea. So, shoutout to user EbOnY998 for that idea!
