"I am Fujimori Emi!" She said proudly, "And I'm going to marry Gray."
Ella covered her mouth to hide her laughter. Gray slid Ella a look that meant he was annoyed. Ella only laughed more. He clearly wanted her to intervene.
"Fine, fine, fine," Ella said after a moment of silence that ate her alive.
"What?" Emi snapped. She despised Ella. Ella was seen as her enemy.
"He's all yours," Ella said, trying to contain herself. "We weren't even together, but he's all yours."
"Huh?" Gray said, unable to understand what was going on.
"Admit you like him," Emi demanded, "and that I'm superior, and better for Gray than you."
Ella burst into laughter. She couldn't contain it. Tears fell out of her eyes.
"This isn't funny!" Emi yelled.
Ella finally managed to stop laughing, "It's hilarious, and I don't like Gray, hard as it is for you to believe, I don't. He's all yours to do whatever you want."
"Hey!" Gray said, what was going on was starting to sink in.
"Isn't this something you'd like?" Ella snickered, "A mindless girl fawning over you." Ella was enjoying this way too much.
"Hey!" Gray and Emi yelled. They were both offended by Ella's last comment.
"How do you even know me?" Gray said.
"Don't you remember me?!" Emi was outraged.
"Should I?" Gray said.
"I'm going to take a crack at it and say you should…" Ella said.
"You really don't?" Emi said, on the verge of tears.
Host Club? Ella thought to Gray.
"The Host Club?" Gray said hesitantly.
"I'm your most loyal customer," Emi said, lip quivering.
Ella was past laughing. This was getting painful. Awkwardness swept the air. Tension was thick and nerves were high. Ella was just about holding her breath. Any random passer byer would be able to simply feel how painful and creepy this whole scene was.
"I knew that…" Gray said, hoping that she believed it even though he said it so weakly.
"You can make it up to me by being my boyfriend!" Emi said forcefully.
Ella had a few remarks to make but knew it was best to keep them to herself.
"Um…" Was all Gray could say.
"It's not an option!" Emi stated.
Ella couldn't handle being here to witness this anymore. "Well, I'm gonna go get food…" She said. "I'll leave you two alone." She said slowly backed away.
