Chapter 33 Surprise

Buffy had already seen Dawn off to the mall with one of her friend's mom, and since she felt she had been neglecting Jessica, not on purpose but she knew she had been more than occupied with Dean lately, so in the spirit of preserving peace, she drove out to Jessica's to spend a little time with her other baby sister. Dean would normally call before he came over to decide what plans they had for Friday nights. It was a given, Friday nights were their special night, even before they became intimate, it had become an unspoken tradition. So it was no danger of not catching up with one another, not to mention, Dean seemed to know most of the time where she was without even asking? Guess that's how loved worked, you got a sixth sense of where your lover, was. Just thinking that in her head almost caused her to blush. Buffy Summers with a lover, boyfriend. She was pulled out of her thoughts when she spotted her very pregnant sister, greeting her. Buffy hugged Jessica, her rounded stomach, keeping her at a fair distance, "So how's my nephew or niece doing?" She rubbed Jess's stomach,

"He/she needs to come out, I'm swollen and..."

Buffy just nodded and made her to have a seat, "Its okay big sis is here…so whatcha need me to do?"

Jessica looked up slyly, "Well you can share the deets of (she cleared her throat)?" Referring silently to Buffy and Dean's intimacy. She really wasn't too keen on sharing all those details but it might not hurt to tell someone that she had finally done (IT) with Dean. She really needed to find a better name for it. Of course, she couldn't have anything too obvious, or Dawn might find out about her doing it, and she had enough problems without adding Dawn's sexual curiosity thrown in the mix.

Dean snuck up behind Buffy as she stood in Sam's kitchen chatting with her sister. She was leaned over the counter, and didn't hear him come in because of the noisy dishwasher. Jess grinned at him over Buffy's shoulder, but didn't give him away. Sam's wife was pretty cool, he decided. "Hey baby," he said in a low voice against her ear as he snaked his hands around her waist and pulled her back against him.

Buffy jumped a little but grinned, reaching behind her, "Hey yourself...How was work?" She reached back and stood on her toes brushing a kiss against his lips. She knew his touch, so she wasn't caught off guard when she felt him behind her.

He quirked a brow at her, maybe he wasn't as sneaky as he thought. "Not bad," he replied. "Kinda dull... but guess I can't expect to have custom delivered pie every day," he remarked with a mischievous grin.

Buffy blushed furiously, her eyes widening, at Jess's raised eyebrow and grin, "I uhhh...just brought him lunch the other day and there was pie...you know cherry..." Buffy blushed more..." She gazed at Dean..."No one else tried to bring you pie?" She was failing miserably at trying to change the subject.

"Nope," he winked, deliberately ignoring her attempt to change the subject. "I'm pretty damn picky about my pie these days... just like a certain kind."

Jess started to cough then laughed, catching on, "Wow ...at his job?"

"NO, NO there was no at his job..." Buffy rapidly shook her head from side to side, "I only brought him food, you know to eat because he was hungry and needed pie...I mean lunch." She flustered trying to cover what she had done, and how embarrassed she was. "I mean you know because I wanted to see him and I thought why not bring him…"

Dean busted out laughing. "Damn Buffy, you suck at this lying gig. Better, give it up. You're a bad influence on your sis here. Remember, she's married to a fine, upstanding young tight-ass."

Buffy grimaced, "You both suck...and bad secret keepers."

Jess laughed harder, "She's always been bad at it, why do you think, I had to do most of her lying for her when we were younger?"

"Sorry babe. Couldn't resist. I'm a shady character." Dean made himself stop laughing since Buffy looked like she was looking for a hole to crawl into. "So, how was work?" he asked, giving her that subject change she was dying for.

"Fine," Buffy huffed, glaring at Dean and Jessica. "You two are impossible…."

Jess added, "Come on Buffy...There is nothing wrong with being with the one you love...you wouldn't believe where Sam and I..." Jessica stopped off both Dean and Buffy's face, "Yeah, how was work?

Dean faked a shudder. "Thanks Jess. That naked-Sam image you just gave me; scarred me for life. Change the friggin subject."

Buffy chimed in, "Pretending blissful ignorance...In fact…this child was 'Immaculate Conception'..."

Jess tittered, "Okay, fair enough... lemme throw some laundry in the dryer be right back." Jessica held up her hands in surrender and toddled out of the room.

Buffy smacked Dean on the arm "You should be ashamed ...you brought that up on purpose..."

"Can't help it," he shrugged. "You give me dirty thoughts. How long you think Jess'll be gone, anyway?" he asked with a leer. Still keeping her in the circle of his arms.

"Nope, not doing it in my sister's kitchen...forget about it." She squeezed his chin, "Not that I wouldn't mind some alone time..." Buffy grinned

"So, what's your plan's for tonight? 'Cause you know I'm up for it."

"It, huh? Dawn's at the mall, I could ask Jess to let her spend the night...unless of course, you want to embarrass me some more which could seriously dampen your opportunities…if you get my drift?" Buffy scolded.

"Who me? Embarrass you? Heeelll no. I'm not that stupid. Consider me on my best behavior."

"Good, we wouldn't want you to become pie deficient, now would we?" Buffy laughed lightly

"No ma'am," he said seriously. "I'd starve. So, what do want your perfectly behaved boyfriend to do while we wait on Dawn to get back from the mall?"

"Well...First let me go ask Jess, then I can call Kim's mom, who took 'em, and tell her to drop her off here, then I can be convinced to say...maybe go somewhere with you… Unless, you have something else in mind?"

"Sounds perfect," he assured her with a nod. "Abso-freaking-lutely perfect. I'm good."

He watched Buffy as she went around the corner; his eyes had stayed glued to her backside, thinking about what he might try today with her. The paraphrase, 'Learning is fun' never meant that much to Dean until Buffy, he could certainly agree with that phrase now. When she came back around the corner, she coyly slid up to stand in front of Dean her face pointed up as she stretched on her toes to wrap her arms around his neck, "Jess told me she would take care of it, Dawn's going to stay here tonight…" She paused briefly lowering her voice even more, "It got a little warm, so took something off, wanna guess what?" Buffy grinned up to Dean.

Dean could literally feel the blood leaving his brain and traveling down south. "Uhh...WOW," he stammered. "That is friggin' awesome. LATER JESS," he called out loudly as he began to lead Buffy toward the front door. "TELL SAMMY I SAID 'HI'"

Buffy followed closely behind as Dean took her hand and immediately swooped her up and carried her to the Impala, "What about my …" Buffy didn't even get to finish as Dean lingered on her lips with a grin.
