Hey Everyone! I'm sorry I haven't updated for so long. Thank-you everyone who left a review. I hope this next long chapter will make up for it. I loved hearing what you were most excited for. Thank-you for your support even though I'm not the best updater at the moment. Enjoy!
Damon continued to watch Quetsiah as she walked through the doors.
"Umm, I thought you were dead?" Damon said after a moment.
"Yes, and when Silas's witch dropped the veil; I just walked over," Quetziah said. "And call me Tessa. Quetsiah is so old fashioned."
"What are doing here?" Damon said as the other vampires in the house started to gather.
"Why don't you show me the way to your witches," Tessa said. Just then Tasha and Bonnie walked in. They both stared at Quetsiah. They could feel the immense power emanating from her.
"Who are you?" Bonnie said.
"Quetsiah but I prefer to go by Tessa. Now witches it's time we get some work done," Quetsiah said as she walked towards the library. All the vampires present were confused and followed her to the library.

Esther sat at the table trying to concentrate on the spirits but she wasn't getting any responses. She stood up just as Quetsiah walked in.
"Esther, nice to see you again. I see you haven't completed your task yet," Quetsiah said.
"Quetsiah! You are here," Esther said. "I apologise that it is taking so long and now that my husband has returned, we are having unexpected interferences."
"I saw them; hence that's why I'm here. You haven't activated the cure yet either," Quetsiah said. Esther looked down as if she were lost for words or ashamed. "I know they are your grandchildren however, it's only a drop from each child."
"I understand but we have yet to come up with a plan to kill Silas and we do not know what he is up to with my husband. We thought that by activating the cure there were probabilities of unwanted accidents and decided that we would have it ready when the time was right," Esther said.
"Well thought out but we need to prepare to for battle," Quetsiah said.
"Battle?" Elijah asked.
"What do you mean?" Klaus said. Quetsiah sat down on the arm chair and flipped through the nearby grimoire.
"Silas and Mikael are preparing for a battle. They plan to attack at sundown tomorrow," Quetsiah said. "Silas has called himself an army of hybrids more powerful than ever. There aren't that many since you all have killed many of them. However, the remaining has been spell-strengthened by his witch to double 'original' standards."
"How do you know all this?" Kol asked.
"I listened to everything they talked about before I walked over," Quetsiah said.
"Why should we trust you?" Klaus said.
"Well if you don't. You're children will end up dead and my wish to kill Silas will forever remain a wish," Quetsiah said. That did it. Klaus was furious. No one threatened his kids. He sped over to Quetsiah and held her by the neck.
"No one threatens my children," Klaus yelled in her face. However, before long, Klaus was on his knees screaming in agony and holding his head.
"Please stop!" Caroline yelled and she held Klaus. Quetsiah let go.
"That was just a warning. Try it again and I can do things you haven't even imagined," Quetsiah said. "Now what were we talking about? Ah yes, the battle is just a method to allow Mikael to kill you however, it also acts as a distraction so Silas may get a hold of your kids. I'm assuming that his witch is coming to de-shield this house."
As everyone heard Quetsiah reveal Silas and Mikael's plans, they started to form their own battle strategies.
"The witches will keep the magical boundaries in tact as long as they can. Can we trust you with that Mother?" Elijah said.
"Yes of course, we will do everything in our power," Esther said. Klaus came up to her.
"You know, I have doubted everything you have said ever since you have returned for this second time; even though you took that oath. However, if you take our side this time and fight with us against Mikael, I will let go of the grudges I have against you. I will forgive you for turning your back on me when I needed you the most, I will forgive you for putting that curse on me, I will forgive you for trying to kill my siblings and me; and most importantly, I will forgive you for turning us," Klaus said. He rapidly turned around and walked away.
Everyone stood around shocked to hear Klaus talk about his resentments. He was never the one to say anything, he always did. He acted out. This was the first time they had seen him talk his feelings. The times were desperate and things needed to get into order. Klaus had probably realized that he was now responsible for three young ones and Caroline.

Caroline quickly packed all the kids' clothes and necessities into a suit case. She made sure they had one favourite toy and blanket. She also put their family albums in. A tear glistened down her cheek as she remembered the conversation she had had with Rebekah earlier.
-flashback-
"Bekah we need to send them away," Caroline said.
"What do you mean?" Rebekah said.
"I mean, we need to find someone who will love them and take care of them. They aren't safe here and we don't know the outcome of this battle. If the only way to keep my children safe is to send them away; then so be it," Caroline said.
Tear started to flow down Rebekah's cheek as she looked at her babies. It was so hard to let them go when she had just got them back a couple of months ago. But Caroline was right. Their safety was everything to her.
"I know it's going to be hard but at least they will live a happy life," Caroline said with tears in her eyes. She hugged Rebekah. "We can do this; we have to do this."
"You're right, let's do this," Rebekah said after a moment. "I'm going to get Stefan to take the twins and leave," Rebekah said.
"What?" Caroline said.
"Stefan will leave with the twins and I'm sure Nik will make you take the triplets. Get you and Stefan out of here," Rebekah said.
"I will not leave and neither will Stefan," Caroline said. "How could you possibly think that? Stefan will never leave you."
"I will make him," Rebekah said. "I will compel him."
"Rebekah don't do that! If you love him, don't take his will away from him. Trust me; there is nothing worse than the feeling of having your own will taken away from you. You are an original, so you don't know what it feels like when you can't do what you really want to. It's like you're trapped inside of your own body," Caroline said. "You would be tormenting him for the rest of eternity."
Rebekah gave up. She sat down on the chair.
"I can't let anything happen to him," Rebekah cried.
"I know," Caroline said as she put a hand on her shoulder.
"But who will take five babies?" Rebekah said.
"I'm calling my mom. She's the only one who isn't a supernatural," Caroline said.
"But five infants is a lot," Rebekah said.
"I know. I have been thinking and this is my plan. During the battle if we feel that our children are in danger we must ask my mother and Esther to leave with them immediately. I've gotten their passports and parent permission documents ready for overseas travel. They could go far away," Caroline said.
"That's fine, but why Esther?" Rebekah said. Her mother was the last person she would resort to the time of trouble.
"Because at least they would have some witch protection and did you forget what Bonnie said about them having supernatural abilities?" Caroline said. "I don't think my mom would be able to handle that alone."
"That makes sense but I'm still going to make Stefan go with them," Rebekah said as she stood up.
"Beks, don't force him. As husband and wife you guys are equals. That's how a marriage works," Caroline said.
"We are about to start a war in less than twenty-fours. I do not want to see him dead!" Rebekah said. Just then the door opened and Stefan walked in. Caroline knew that Stefan had heard their conversation. Thank goodness, Klaus was gone out at this time.
"I'll let you guys talk," Caroline said as she walked out.
-End of flashback-
Caroline looked at the album in her hand and opened it. There were photos of the triplets with the twins. There were photos from the wedding and some of her and Klaus. At least they will know what their parents and family looked like. She placed the album back into the bag and zipped it shut. Everything was there: clothes, toys, money, legal documents and album.
Just then she felt a breeze behind her. She looked back to find Klaus standing behind her.
"What are you doing love?" Klaus asked. Caroline stood up at faced Klaus. She didn't know how to tell him but she had to. They were his children too. She took a breath in and started.
"I'm packing for the kids," Caroline said.
"Where are you going?" Klaus said.
"I'm not going anywhere but..." Caroline didn't know how to put it before him.
"But?" Klaus urged.
"But just in case this war doesn't go our way, I have made the necessary arrangements to send our children to safety," Caroline said really fast.
Klaus stood there in front of her with various emotions crossing his face. He didn't want to send his kids away however, he couldn't agree more. Caroline had to go too. As long as his family was safe, he was fearless to face Mikael and Silas.
"Then you will leave with them love," Klaus said.
"What?" Caroline said.
"Pack you stuff Caroline. You will take our children and go far away. Somewhere safe where Mikael and Silas can't get to you and them," Klaus said.
"No! I'm not leaving you!" Caroline said.
"Yes you will," Klaus said adamantly.
"No Nik, I'm not leaving you. I can't," Caroline said with angry tears in her eyes.
"Caroline, why don't you understand? Our children will need at least one parent," Klaus said.
"I'm not leaving you. And they'll be fine with their grandmothers," Caroline said.
"Grandmothers?" Klaus asked.
"Yes, if there ever comes a time when they must leave, I have arranged for my mom and Esther to take them," Caroline said.
"And you think, no offense love, that these two old ladies, one human and one dead come back alive witch, will be able to handle our children?" Klaus said angrily.
"Yes, because only a human can live normally without hiding anything and a witch can give magical protection and guidance when needed," Caroline replied. Klaus smiled internally. She was smart but he wanted her to leave and go to safety as well. He could see her die. It was bad enough seeing her with a stake embedded into her.
"Caroline, please love. Take them with you!" Klaus said.
"Nik I am not leaving you so stop trying," Caroline said stubbornly.
"Why don't you understand...?" Klaus said clearly getting irritated by her refusal.
"Understand what?" Caroline said as she crossed her hand across her chest.
"I can't bear to see you hurt or...worse," but he could say it out loud. Caroline walked over to him and hugged him.
"There's no point of sending me away. We're linked. If you die, so will I," she said. Klaus embraced her tightly. He knew that what she said was true but he could be running around trying to fight Mikael and Silas and also checking if Caroline was safe. He was going to do what he had to do. He stepped back and looked into her eyes.
"When the time comes, you will take the kids and go to safety," Klaus said in his compelling voice as tears flowed down his cheeks. Caroline looked at him for a moment, pushed him and walked away crying.
Klaus sat down on their bed. He had to compel her. It was for her good. At least now he could stand to fight knowing that his family was going to be safe.

After Caroline left, Stefan quickly stepped into the room. He zoomed past Rebekah not saying a single word. He went to the wardrobe and pulled out a bag. He started packing the twins clothes and some toys. He had heard the part where Caroline said that she had arranged for legal documents for guardianship and passports.
"Stefan," Rebekah said. Stefan ignored her and continued to pack. He was furious. How could she possibly think that she could just compel him to leave her?
"Stefan, please listen to me," Rebekah said as she stood in front of him. He walked around her. Rebekah reached out and held his hand. "Stefan, please."
"What Rebekah?" Stefan said. "What do you want to do? Compel me? Sorry but I will not let that happen!"
"Why don't you understand? I can't lose you!" Rebekah said.
"What do you not understand? I can't live without you!" he said as he held her shoulders and looked into her light blue eyes.
"Stefan, please just hear me out," she begged.
"No, Rebekah. I have heard enough," he said as he walked to the wardrobe to grab more clothes to pack.
"But Stefan, if you go with them, the twins will at least have one parent with them," Rebekah said.
"No," Stefan said. "And no, you will not compel me."
"If you don't listen, then I will," Rebekah said. Stefan threw the clothes on the bed and walked over to her.
"Fine, do it! But let me remind you of something. Remember in the twenties when Klaus compelled me to forget you?!" Stefan said. Rebekah winced. She remembered that she was heartbroken when she found out that he had moved on while she was daggered in her coffin. Stefan took her into his arms and lightly kissed her neck.
"Bekah please don't take my will away from me. Let us fight this battle together. For our kids; for our family," he whispered into her ear. Rebekah cried into his embrace; she couldn't take his will away. "It's okay. We can do this, everyone counts in numbers."

Everyone gathered at the dining room table. They had agreed to a battle plan. The witches were supposed to keep the boundaries up until they possibly could. When it came down to a physical battle, they had to get rid of Silas's witch first. Tasha had made spelled stakes with wolf bane and vervain. There were at least ten for each person. Every chance they got, they should try to take out those super hybrids. All the originals carried a dagger for Mikael.
"Do you think they will have white oak stakes?" Kol asked. Everyone looked at one another. No one had a clue.
"No. They do not have white oak stakes," Quetsiah said as she walked in followed by Esther. Everyone let out a breath of relief.
"You know all you originals who have been trying to send us away; there's no point. If you die, will too," Katherine said.
Elijah cringed at her words but Katherine continued.
"Not to snoop, but I've heard Rebekah and Stefan, Klaus and Caroline and even Finn and Sage's conversation. All you Originals think that either we'll die or you'll probably have to hover around us to make sure we're safe instead of fighting. But that's not true. We're here not because we have to but because we want to and we believe that we are as much a part of this family as you are to one another."
Everyone stared at their significant other during a moment of brief silence. No one knew what to say. Everyone was going through the same turmoil. Elijah was the one to slowly break the trance and walk away. Katherine followed him out.

After Caroline had put the suitcase in the car she walked back to her room. This could be the last night with her babies and she didn't want to miss a moment of it. She and Rebekah had already talked to Esther and her mom about taking the kids when the time came. After much persuasion, the Sheriff had agreed. Caroline was still mad at Klaus for compelling her to leave but the one thing he didn't know was that his compulsion didn't work with her since they were mates. He would be in for a surprise when she'd be standing beside him during the battle. As soon as she closed the door to her room, she was pushed against the wall as hungry lips attacked hers. Klaus's hands ran down her sides as she melted into his kiss forgetting everything that happened earlier.
Caroline hooked her legs around his waist pulling him closer to her. They didn't know when they would share this moment again. Caroline's fingers tangled into his sandy blonde hair as she passionately responded to his kiss. He left her lips kissing down her neck and collarbone to her chest. Suddenly, the clothes she was wearing were too much and with one swift motion, he ripped them off her leaving her top completely bare. Caroline moaned as she felt him take one of her breast into his mouth and teased it with his tongue. She wanted to feel the smooth planes of his body against hers and now his clothes were getting in the way. She ripped his top off as his mouth came up to her lips again.
Klaus carried her to the bed not letting go of her lips. He gently laid her down on the bed and went on top of her. Soon both of their bottoms were off on the ground in shreds. The anticipation of this battle tomorrow was leaving them on edge. All their emotions seemed to be on overdrive. Klaus peppered kisses down her body but Caroline was becoming restless. She wanted him so bad.
"Nik, I want you now," Caroline said. Klaus wasted no time to abide by her desires and entered her. She moaned as she felt him inside of her. He started with a steady pace but in no time the pace quickened. Caroline moaned as she drew near her peak. With their lips locked and hands trying to add extra pleasure to this moment which may never happen again, they climaxed. Klaus collapsed on top of her, resting his head on her chest, as they both calmed down their ragged breaths.
Caroline put her arms around him, embracing as quiet tears fell down her cheeks. She didn't know what tomorrow would bring and all she wanted was that this night would never be over. Klaus felt her tears fall on his arm. He looked into her eyes and saw the pain he wished he could take away. He kissed both of her eyes.
"Don't cry love. We are all going to be fine," Klaus said. Caroline didn't say anything.
"I know you're angry that I compelled you but, trust me love, it's for the best," he said.
"I know," Caroline said. "I don't want this night to end."
"I agree," Klaus said. "But no matter what happens tomorrow, just remember one thing. I will always love you Miss Caroline Forbes or should I say Mrs. Mikaelson to be." Caroline giggled.
"I think I like the second one better and Mr. Niklaus Mikaelson, I will always love you. No matter where we are and what happens," Caroline said. "Oh and one more thing, I still want a grand wedding." Klaus smiled.
"I promise," Klaus said and then kissed her lips slowly and fervently.

The next morning everyone gathered in the kitchen. Stefan and Rebekah were sitting together with Aden and Arianna feeding them their breakfasts trying to capture moments of happiness that could potentially be their last with their children. Elijah and Katherine kept to themselves as well as Finn and Sage. Damon and Elena sat by the fireplace. Klaus tugged at Caroline's hand.
"Come on," he said.
"Where are we going?" Caroline asked.
"Just come," Klaus said as he walked out the back door with Zane and Eliza. Caroline followed with Noah calmly sleeping in her arms.
Klaus walked over to the car and put in the first two babies. He then took Noah from Caroline and put him in his seat. Klaus then opened the front door for Caroline. Caroline, still confused as to what was happening, got in.
"Where are we going?" Caroline said.
"I thought they should see their home for once," Klaus said as he pulled out a camera from his jacket and handed it over to Caroline. Caroline smiled but then a thought struck her.
"Nik, what about Silas and Mikael?" Caroline said.
"I talked to Quetsiah or I should say Tessa. She said they are far from here and will be arriving close to sundown," Klaus said. Satisfied with his answer, she leaned back into her chair as they made their way to the Mikaelson mansion.
Once they were there, Caroline and Klaus took their three sleeping babies to nursery and placed them in their individual cribs. They took a seat on the rocking chairs. Caroline looked at the beautifully painted walls. She looked at the wall with the forest and the full moon and remembered that Klaus had said it wasn't quite complete.
"Nik, the last time we were here you said that this wall wasn't completed. What's missing?" Caroline said. Klaus stood up and walked over to the wall. Caroline followed.
"Tell you the truth; I was kind of curious about what you would look like as a wolf. I knew I was a light grey coloured wolf and now I know you are a blonde wolf. I was going to paint us as wolves here. Kind of like representation of what we are," Klaus said. Caroline took his hand and smiled.
"And one day, you will complete it," she said.
"Thank-you sweetheart," he said and kissed her on her lips. "I was thinking that we could spend the day here with you and the kids as a family, in our home."
"We would love that," Caroline said.
Soon the triplets woke up one after the other. Caroline and Klaus fed all of them and then played with them. They took lots of pictures and finally one all of them together.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Time was ticking as everyone in the Salvatore residence awaited sundown. Caroline and Klaus had returned hours ago with their children and now all five infants were fast asleep in the upstairs corner room. All the vampires had fed to their fullest and were fully loaded with stakes and other weapons. The coven of witches was positioned on the top floor along with Quetsiah, Esther, Bonnie and Tasha. The Sheriff had been asked to stay in the room with the babies because this was no war for a human.
The witches had set up another magical boundary around the babies. Just in case there was any kind of trouble. Quetsiah made it known that without the five babies, the cure would be useless and Silas cannot be defeated. However, this battle was for self preservation and protection of the five children. There were no plans to kill Silas yet. It would mean suicide to even try with all his allies.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
As soon as the sunset, the hybrids came in from every direction surrounding the house. They were unable to get onto the property thanks to the magical boundaries the witches had set up. Within the house, there were at least two vampires stationed at each entrance.
"Is this it?" Kol said. "We're going to stand in front of these entrances while they try to get in all night?"
Just then a long wooden stake pierced through the window shattering glass everywhere and embedded Kol right in the chest.
"Brace yourselves!" Quetsiah yelled.
"Is the magical boundary already broken?" Kol gasped. Caroline ran and pulled the piece of wood out of Kol. "Thanks darling," Kol said as he got up.
"They can't physically get in, but that doesn't mean they can't throw things in," Bonnie said.
"Great! Thanks for telling us now love," Kol said.
"Quiet!" Quetsiah said. Everyone shuts up and looks at her. "She's here."
"Who is?" Klaus said.
"That descendent who has decided to take Silas's side," Quetsiah said. She closed her eyes and moved her hands as is she was trying to shift something. "How is it that she even more powerful than me?"
"What are you saying?" Katherine said. Quetsiah ignored her. She seemed like she was in her own turmoil.
"Show yourself Agnes!" Quetsiah yelled.
Agnes? Klaus had heard that name before but he couldn't remember when.
Quetsiah squirmed in pain as if she were resisting a great force.
"Witches, please strengthen your boundaries," Quetsiah managed to say. Suddenly, she was back up with no sign of duress. "Oh no!"
"What is it?" Elijah said.
"She brings with her three witch covens from New Orleans," Quetsiah explained. Klaus's head snapped up. No wonder the name Agnes was so familiar. She was one of the elders among the witches in New Orleans.
"I thought they were only powerful on their ancestral grounds?" Klaus said.
"They were. However, they have managed to complete their harvest ritual," Quetsiah said.
The next set of events occurred so fast that there was hardly time to think. Silas's witches had managed to drop the magical boundary and the first hybrid managed to break into the front door. Elijah, Kol and Stefan managed to grab a hold of him as Klaus yanked his heart out his chest. More hybrids entered the premises. The fight was getting out of control. The hybrids were definitely stronger. Silas and Mikael were on their way to enter the house.
While the chaos continued, Finn and Sage had managed to get of the house and towards the coven of witches. Within seconds, they had massacred all three covens. Now, family and those infants meant so much more to them.
Caroline and Rebekah zoomed upstairs at vamp speed to their babies. It was time to say good-bye for their safety. Rebekah opened the door to find Liz Forbes cradling a sleeping Aden. Rebekah's heart swelled with a sense of relief. Even though this woman wasn't Stefan's real mother, she knew that her children and Caroline's children would be treated the same.
"Mom it's time to go," Caroline said as she took Zane and Eliza in her hands. Rebekah picked up Arianna and Noah. In the next second, Esther and Bonnie walked into the room.
"Mother, it's time for you all to leave," Rebekah said. "Let's go."
All of them quickly went down the stairs to cellar and out to the car.
"Good-bye my angels," Rebekah said with tears in her eyes. "Mummy and Daddy will always love you." She kissed both Arianna and Aden on their heads. She then strapped them into their baby seats.
"We will always be together," Caroline said as she touched the new necklaces around each of their necks with their first name letters. She then kisses all her three children and also strapped them in. "Bonnie, please go with them. Two witches are better than one."
"Caroline you all need me here," Bonnie said.
"No Bonnie, Caroline is right. We trust you and our mothers will take good care of our children. Please," Rebekah said.
Bonnie couldn't say anymore. She got into the back seat with the five babies. Caroline hugged Liz.
"I love you mom," Caroline cried. "Please take care of them." Rebekah turned to Esther.
"I know this may not be the time to make amends but, I trust you will take care of them Mother," Rebekah said. Esther was lost for words. The daughter, who was so hesitant to have her children in the same room as her was entrusting her with them. She nodded.
Liz got into the driver seat and Esther got into the passenger seat in the front and drove away.
"We'll come find you!" Caroline said.
Rebekah and Caroline both turned back towards the Salvatore house. It was time to fight.
Caroline saw Klaus fighting alone with one of the hybrids. The hybrid had pierced Klaus with a stake. She went and grabbed the surprised hybrid from the neck while Klaus yanked out his heart. Klaus's attention diverted when he saw Silas walk up the stairs. He was about to go after him when Caroline grabbed his arm and started pulling the embedded stake out of him.
"They aren't there," she whispered so only he would hear.
"Where are they?" Klaus asked.
"I've sent them away," Caroline said. Klaus shocked. He didn't even get to say good-bye.
"Why are you still here? I compelled you to leave with them," Klaus said. Caroline pulled the stake out of him.
"You can't compel me Klaus. We're mates and therefore, equals," Caroline said. Just then there was an angry yell from upstairs. Tasha lay at the bottom of the stairs and Quetsiah nowhere to be seen.
"Hold them all!" Silas said. More hybrids walked in and all the vampires were under custody. "Where are they?"
No one answered.
"You don't want to give answers? That's fine. What I will inflict upon you will be something you never imagined," Silas said.

Liz looked out into the back yard as she thought about where she was. They had now settled on the country side in Scotland. Esther had managed to get them a large mansion with every protection possible, both magical and physical. These Mikaelsons; they always had to have grandeur. They had changed their names to Lorene and Ellen Mac Daniel and told people that they were sisters and had moved to America when they got married. But now came back after their children had died in an accident.
Bonnie had started teaching at a nearby University in the forensics and law jurisdiction faculties. She didn't really like it but it was necessary. It allowed her to work with the government officials and attain inside information just in case Silas and Mikael came looking for them. However, the last news they had of Silas and Mikael was that they were in New Orleans.
"What are you looking at Lorene?" Esther said.
"The children, Ellen" Liz replied. "They've grown so much."
"I agree. It's been seven years," Esther said.
Well what did you think? Up next
1. will Silas and Mikael find them
2. what happened to everyone that night
3. The five!
Please leave a review! I'm dying to know what you think! Thanks! :)
