PART 2-Battle
I wanted to make the chapters longer but I didn't want to confuse people too much. If you're overwhelmed by all this, then please tell me and I'll just spilt them up. This is basically the fights, so it'll repeat over and over about the bells ringing. I kinda got the idea from Cat Whispurrer when he spilt the first part and second like they were episodes, but too bad I couldn't do it that way.
I was a little disappointed that hardly anyone reviewed this chapter, so...I don't know...I guess I'll just keep updating this story and nothing else until then or something like that. I don't know..depends on how I feel.
Boomer and Bubbles
Bubbles giggled,"C'mon, don't be such a tease. It could be...very exciting. Doesn't my Bad boy enjoy exciting things?"
"Exciting? Huh?" Boomer chuckled wickedly andstarted kissing her on the neck... that's when the bells started to ring, interrupting the two. Boomer sat up, taking a deep breath, annoyed, "Son of a bitch."
"Boomer, what's going on?" Bubbles asked, her eyes flashing back and forth, until they were back to her lovely sky blue.
"Son of a bitch!" Boomer exclaimed again, "And just when I was finally giving in. Next time, I'm just letting loose."
"Giving in to what? Was I being too aggressive again? Oh...I was...Oh Boomer, I'm sorry...I really had a hard time controlling myself. I just couldn't hold back." Bubbles cried out, blushing from embarrassment, covering up her eyes as Boomer stood up, straightening himself up and zipping his pants back up, "You're not upset are you?"
"Oh...no...just the timing." Boomer sighed, he felt something vibrating in his back pocket, he pulled out his holo communicator (it was circular like a medium size button, thick as a tire, and with touched screen), a face flashed up onto the screen with a wink, "Oh...Eirinna called."
Bubbles looked down at the ground sadly from the mention of that name, but then she planted a smile on her face, "Oh...I wonder what she needs?"
"Oh...probably to see if our 'little' project is working. I'm so exciting, I wonder how's it coming along? I can't wait to get back to the Base. " Boomer beamed with excitement, but then he cleared his throat and tried to act calm, "Too bad, I can't summon Umi,
"Everyone please get into your homes! Be prepared!" Soldiers started yelling.
"WHERE'S THE CAPTAIN!? WHERE IS HE?"
"We've gotta find the others. I shouldn't have gonna distracted." He scoffed and rolled his eyes, "I'm the worst person to be in charge ever. I can hear Butch now."
"Distracted?" Bubbles scratched her head, she noticed that her clothes were a little messed up, "Did I do it again? Oh Boomie, I'm sorry...I just couldn't help myself. Oh it's my fault." Bubbles pouted,'looking down at the ground ashamed.
Boomer just helped pulled her up, "Oh it's not your fault, plus, it was fun while it lasted, wasn't it?" Boomer winked at her.
Bubbles giggled, blushing until one of the soldiers stopped running when he saw them, "You two have to find someplace to hide! QUICKLY!" The soldier warned as another wailed escaped, a Snow Revenant came right at him with a frozen slash. A shot was fired, the monster exploded and burned from the flames.
Boomer had his blasted gun in his hand, he fired at several more monsters as they appeared inside the city.
"Huh? How interesting? I thought they were marching into the city, but it seems that they appeared inside the city, " Boomer fired at a Ghost, but it phase through, "And now Ghost type monsters as well? Ready Bubs?" Boomer lifted his hand, the snow melted into water, with a circle of his hand and his arms trusted into an X, the water came flying right at the ghost and pinning it to the wall. He flipped his gun around, triggering it to transform in his trident, with a throw at the ice, and he shattered the ghost.
"Of course, but I still want to go shopping after this." Bubbles giggled, but with a serious look, she side flipped over a ghoul's attack, "I'm sorry but you really can't get mad at me, just because I still have my looks." She dodged another ghoul's slash.
She held two fingers in front of her lips, "Ice Magic: Frozen Tomb." With a blow of a kiss, she froze the two ghouls into ice, and with a swing of her staff, breaking them into pieces. Boomer ran towards his trident as a Reaper was behind him, jumping onto the wall and with one foot pushing off, he pulled his trident off and front flip in the air striking from above. The Reaper blocked, lifted one of its sickle like arms at Boomer as he landed on his foot but Bubbles blocked it.
"Hi." She waved, with Boomer still kneeled on the ground, she jumped on his back and at the Reaper. In mid air, she blew onto its face, making it freeze on the spot and shattered.
Boomer rolled as a Pale Man Monster came at Bubbles, he tripped it up and stabbed it in the chest, "Bubs, I think the Pale Man Monsters are still coming after you."
"Still?" Bubbles bend over to the ground and lifted both her hands up, creating a wall in front of a family that was about to be attacked by snow revenants, she turned around at him, "Is it because I'm still 15 in Hume years you think?" She yelp as a pale Man Monster came right at her, biting her on the arm.
"BUBBLES!" Boomer side flip with his hands moving in the same motion, three Ecto Imps (Ghostly versions of imps), the snow on the ground became water and encased after them. With one fist clenched, the water crushed them inside. He immediately ran towards Bubbles.
"I really did love this arm sleeve. A crime against fashion." Bubbles sounded serious, her eyes flashed icy gray this time as her cursed mark glowed through her arm sleeve. The Pale man monster let go, coughing and snarling as his mouth was frozen, and the ice started to flow thoughout its body, until it was frozen from the inside out. She lifted her hand, the monster floated up and with a swift move to her left, it went flying right towards some ghouls and shattered.
"Bubs...ah...are you ok?" Boomer asked with a sweat drop on his brow as her back was turned.
Bubbles turned around to face him, cheerful with a smile, "Of course...why?"
He laughed nervously, "Oh...nothing...Uh...We really should find the others."
Sam
"Doggie pile!" Sam interrupted the fight, by throwing a snow ball at both of them, and jumped on both of them, "I win!"
Steel and Sam started laughing, as all three were lying on their backs looking up at the sky, Irial just sat up looking at them, questionably.
"Cmon Man, you've gotta admit, that was fun." Steel said, he started making a snow angel on his back and Sam copied him. Both stood up, and looked at their hard work. Sam's looked a little angel with horns.
"Fun?" Irial repeated the word as if he never heard of it.
"Yeah fun, you've never had any?" Steel asked with a scoff.
"Father doesn't see the point of such things." Irial looked down at the ground, his eyes still seem confused.
"Cmon Sam, better find the other-" Steel grabbed his book.
"Ear...ee...al had fun right?" Sam looked up with those big green eyes, pleading. Steel crossed his arms.
"Fun? I guess so. Today was ...FUN." Irial winced in a little as he tried to crack a little smile.
Sam gasped, holding her bell up, "Play time was s..s..success!" She rung her bell.
The bells started to ring.
Sam marveled at her bell, "Wow! So loud."
"That's not you," Irial sniffed the air, but his face was still calm as he said, "Danger...something's coming."
Steel started to turn pale, "It's an attack...we...we have to get out of here." Steel's chest was beating, his breathing was so rapid and his stomach felt queasy and sick like he could threw up as he broke in cold sweats. He dropped his book and held both hands in his hands. Remembering the last attack, the swarm of Pale Man Monsters...and Little Marrissa walking towards him with her arm missing...she fell to the ground...
"I tried...Marri, I tried...I didn't mean to fail you...I didn't..." Steel eyes were wide in pure horror as he mumbled the words.
"Sel...Sel..."Sam's voice snapped him out of his memory, at first when he looked at her, he only saw little Marrissa with her curly gray hair, messy bow and big green...eyes, "Wake up Sel!" Sam punched him on the arm, waking up completely. He had tears in his eyes as he snapped out of it.
He patted Sam on the head, "Yea...yea...we don't have time for this. The Cathedral is the safest but it's too far, We've gotta find a place to hide, ride it out." Steel explained thinking out loud.
"Ear...ee...al where you going?" Sam asked as he was walking away.
"This doesn't concern me. I've already...done enough." Irial responded blankly.
"Hey...hey," Steel went right after him and stood in front of him, "You can't leave...by yourself. Those monsters will rip you-"
"Those Monsters don't bother me. As you may remember, I'm a Fox Fey," His eyes flashes yellow when he said that. Irial stepped to the side and continued walking.
Normally Steel wouldn't care, he would have just let him go; but he didn't have his bracelets, nothing but his boomerang and the tome, he looked back at Sam, and growled as he stopped Irial as again, "You may be gifted but she's not. You'll leave her alone. I don't like you, but I need your help to keep her safe."
Irial stopped, looking back at Sam, "I already strayed from Father's orders...but if I don't help and something happens to her," Irial gulped, his insides hurt and it pained him for some reason with that thought, "Not to mention, I'll have to deal with 'Her' wrath. Plus, I could still grab her during all this anyways."
He imagine the woman with the color changing hair standing over him, her eyebrows twitching and her clenching her claws, "Ah...so you let her perish huh? What a shame...This will be most unpleasant for you."
"Fine then," Irial accepted it, both of them nodded, "What do you have in mind? You know this dump better than I do."
"Well-"
"Sel?"
A hissing sound escaped from behind them, Steel turned around and Sam was standing still. An Ecto imp floated right above her, hissing with its needle point teeth. It was ghostly clear white with glowing blue eyes, long nails, and horns that pointed downwards at its wide mouth, medium gargoyle wings and a tail.
Steel grabbed his Boomerang and flung it at the monster, but it was went right through and returned into Steel's hands.
"You do know that ghost type monsters aren't affected by physical attacks, only magical?" Irial asked with his usual expressionless face. Sam swung her bell at it, for some reason, she was able to smack it back, "Oh and weapons with magical properties." Each time she hit it, the bell made a ringing sound, the noise seem to bother the monster a lot as it whined and covered its ears.
Irial pointed two fingers at the Imp, a dark smog like energy formed around the imp and swarmed around it.
"GO!" Steel pulled Sam as they ran towards the next building. Irial clenched his fist tight, the smog crushed the monster until it was nothing but lights. Then he calmly ran behind the others. Steel climb over the next building, helping Sam over but Irial climbed over with no problem.
"Where exactly are you taking us?" Irial asked.
Steel stopped as a Phantom (A ghost type monster) appeared, had the same kind of skin but its had a man's face face twisted in a scream and long arms that stretched to its side and long big fingers that reached to the ground and its finger tips were razor sharp, its finger tips were normally pink but right now they were dripping red with fresh blood and all its lower half was nothing more than a tail.
"This may be a problem." Steel confessed, he winced as he saw a body of a faceless soldier.
"Only for you." Irial step forward, throwing his hat on the ground. He just opened his hands up, black ooze poured out of his hands, "Blindness!"
His crossed his arms into an X, the ooze fell onto the Phantom's face. It screeched wildly, another Phantom came answering its cries, but this one had no face. It lunged at Steel, he pushed Sam back and threw the tome down and rolled out of the way. In one move, touching his boomerang, pouring some of his alchemical energy into it and threw it at the Phantom. The boomerang had an electrical effect, as it went through the phantom, it shriek as the magic zap through its body and paralyzed it. He clapped his hands together and slammed it on the ground, a pentacle appeared and the energy turned into pure light, destroying it.
Sam sat up to see an Ecto Imp flying over to try and grab the tome, "Oh no you don't, that Sel's!" Sam lifted her bell, by accident her magical energy transferred into the bell, a green energy circle appeared from the bottom, " Ter..Terwain: White Swirl?" The bell rung and the imp was sent flying back by a gust of furious wind and burst into light.
Irial seem to have no trouble, dodging the phantom's wild slashes and attacks, he back flipped and he touched the snow with his hands and it turned gray, "Element Imitation: Dark Snow."
He raised his hand up, and the gray snow just raise up, he swiped his hand side way downwards and the snow came crashing down on it. The Phantom removed the blind ooze and dodged the attack, Irial rushed at it, pulling out his weapon: a small dark blue, strange pinwheel with its edges sharpened and attached with stick, and with just one slash the Phantom collapsed and turned into light orbs.
Steel had crawled over to the dead soldier's body when the battle was over.
"I'm surprised a kid like you can handle dead bodies for such a child?" Irial looked at him with one eyebrow up.
"Living in this city, you get use to it...Hey! You're a Kid too!" Steel glared at him," Two healing potions, three inferno spheres, and six blasting caps. Better take this." Steel grabbed the soldier's holster and tied it around his waist, "Is that really your weapon?" Steel asked, pointing at Irial's pinwheel.
"Yes."
Steel let a laugh out, " You can't talk about my boomerang."
Irial's eyebrow twitched in annoyance, "Maybe I should show you its other form?"
"Is that a challenge?" Steel asked, rival sparks seem to flow between their glares.
"Sel, I got your book!" Sam cried out, breaking up their glares, cutting in between them and giving it to him.
"Oh thanks, and I saw you with that monster. You nailed him," Steel cheered for her. Sam blushed at the compliment but then tilted her head as Steel looked at the tome and sighed, "I really wished I read this now. I can at least keep it safe until I can."
"Why?" Sam asked.
Steel looked around, making sure there was no monster around, he then pulled the neck part of his shirt down to reveal a pentacle on his upper right shoulder, "My birthmark, it looks just like it. Mei Long said she found it in an abandoned village about 8 years ago. She said the tome ate a picture...she couldn't open it, but I just might...I've waited forever to get could have the clues...maybe to my alchem...alchemical magic, recipes for weapons...but most importantly...my family...my mom...my dad...Reks said My Mom kept to herself, so he doesn't know about her...I just want to know...what did she look like? What's her name? What did she name me?...do I look like her? Did...did...did she love me?"
When Steel started to ask those questions, Irial was looking out into the distance. He swallowed hard, a question came up onto his head, one that never appeared before, "Mother...Mom?" He looked down at his pinwheel, its tips spinning fast around from the intensity of the wind.
"Papa never told me about my mom, But he loves me lots. He tells me all the time." Sam grinned, swinging from side to side, "Maybe I ask about Mama when I see Papa again."
Irial's fists were clenched but he just released them, looking down at the ground, "We should get going huh?
"Oh yeah, no distraction. Move out." Steel seemed positive until the next building was too far to jump, but there were floating stairways, "This isn't good."
"What? We just climb down." Irial shrugged it off but Steel was pale.
"Yea, let go." Sam was about to hop on the stairs, but Steel pulled her back.
"No...wait...we must be careful Sam. The Monsters..."
"But we can't stay up here, the ghost types are only affected by magic...one wrong move or no energy, and we're finished." Irial didn't look like he was worried, but even he had his limits.
"I know, I know. I'll go first." Steel swallowed hard, as he jumped down the stairs and climb on...when an Ecto Imp appeared out of nowhere and flew right at him, knocking him off. Steel hit the ground hard and was knocked unconscious.
"SEL! SEL! SELLLLLL!" Sam cried out, but he just didn't wake up, "We save Sell. Iri!"
"This is my chance." Irial thought to myself. He held his hand up to summon the portal, but then he heard...snarling...Pale Man Monsters appeared out of no where,'walking with their hands on their faces so they could see, their mouths drooling as they saw this child.
A Gigas came marching through, pushing them aside as it held its axe, lifting it up in the air...
Sam was already climbing down the stairs but Irial held her back.
"LET GO IR! WE'VE GOTTA SAVE SELLL!" Sam cried out.
Irial's eyes went right towards the Tome that landed below the stair case.
"What she looked like? Did she love me?" Steel's voice echoed in his head, he winced in pain but he just couldn't, "Father will be mad."
Irial jumped down from the building. The pale man Monsters turned around, drooling. Black ooze came out of his hand and crystallized into a strange symbol of a wave. With his pinwheel, he shatters the thing, it's inky black, flowed around him.
His ash grey eyes turned into liquid black, as if a pin poked into his pupils and it spilled all into his eyes, the two dots that were in front of his eyebrows seem to come alive and pour like liquid down the sides of his nose and stopped beside his mouth. Eight tails came out of his back side, his nails grew longer, and with the raise of his hands. His pinwheel floated into the air, detached from the stick and formed into eight. The Pinwheels' edges pointed out longer and sharper like needles, they seemed almost twisted, the centers were Numbered with different colors of gems.
The Pale Man Monsters started charging right at him, the pinwheel floated above him: as two came to his side, with his hand and lunge motion, the pinwheels slashed those across, as two more came to the right, he slide kick them to the ground and flipped over them, with a swishing across the pinwheels sliced them to pieces. As Zombies and Pale monsters came at him straight ahead, the pin wheels gathered to the front and spun around like some sort of shield, pushing them back. He side back flip the last two zombies charging at him, the pin wheels just followed, cutting the zombies in the eyes and the other six slashed them around the neck. As some Pale Monsters were still around Steel, he held his right arm and thrust it across like he was throwing something. His pin wheel obeyed, in the form of a discs went flying right at the monsters sawing their legs clean off. Only the Gigas seem to be holding its ground, as it swung its axe, knocking the disc back.
It turned around and held its axe over Steel, about ready to bring it down.
"Terwain: Stone rampage!" Sam yelled, hitting her bell on the wall, some parts of the buildings stretched out and slammed the Gigas between the walls. The Gigas broke free and slammed the walls, causing Sam to lose her balance and fell over the edge. She was able to flutter her wings hard enough to soften her landing as she fell right beside Steel. The Gigas came charging at them, but Irial stood in front of him just as Steel was waking up.
"Finally, I could use a distraction." Irial said calmly as he held his hands up, the pin wheel started rotating in a circle.
"Huh?" Steel asked, still a little out of it until he saw the Gigas, "Oh...OH!" Steel pulled out an inferno sphere and a blasting cap. Mixing them together with a little alchemical energy, formed into a new item. He shook it and threw it, the blast destroyed all the monsters in the alley with a fiery swirl tornado, but the Gigas stood its ground and block the attack.
"At least you're good for something." Irial commented, a black energy surged through the pin wheel, "Dark Magic: eight wheels of destruction."
A black energy shot from the pin wheels and blasted the Gigas with such a powerful energy, that it exploded into pieces. Irial transformed back, exhausted. Steel took another blasting cap and with a healing potion, mixing them together, created a healing breeze, that healed all their wounds, but Irial still seemed tired.
"That won't work on me...I'm not hurt...Ok. Just not...old enough..."
Sam smiled wide as she elbowed Steel, Steel signed, "Alright, alright...thanks."
"Oh Book." Sam ran off to get the tome.
"Don't mention it...ever." Irial had a sharp look in his eyes.
"No problem with that. I'm just surprise you didn't run away...or take Sam with you," Steel looked back with the same spark.
Irial crossed his arms, not saying another thing else.
Sam backed away, towards them...holding the tome to her chest.
The two looked and saw Snow Revenants and a Reaper coming their way.
"Run?" Steel asked.
"At least we can agree on something."Irial sighed.
Brutus
He walked faster until he turned into an alleyway, he continued walking until he ended up in the center a four way side street. That's when the bell started to ring.
"Right now...of course..."He said to himself, side stepping as three arrows pierced onto the ground, "You might as well come out now." He said loud enough to echo throughout the street. Three Priest jumped down, the first one holding a cross bow, the second holding A metal rod and the third wielding pistol daggers (it's basically two silver hand guns with slender, sharp barrels that could cut through flesh and shoot bullets or magical energy) and a bishop still standing on a small building's roof, holding a sword.
"I'm sorry Bro- Brutus, Bishop Hemlock has told us your secret and ordered this..." The first one said.
"Huh? He's a bishop now, that was a quick promotion." Brutus rubbed his head, "Funny, at first I thought you guys were funny me to make sure I leave time. Look, I'm really not in the mood for this. I'll be happy to not say a word and just leave town."
"Bishop Hemlock said you would say that, that the demon in you will make sweet pleasant sides but not to believe it's words, for it speaks nothing but lies." The third one scorned. Brutus frown at that demon part.
"Enough! You've betrayed His Holiness and our order. Allowing such a person to exist in our order is such a detestable and wicked act. The only way to wash away this filthy demonic spawn is to execute it."
"How original, going to kill me during an attack to make it look like the monsters did it. If such a wicked act is being condemned by the Cathedral, why not announce it in front of people?"
Brutus' question made the three Priest look at each other.
The Bishop yelled, "And make his Holiness' mistake widely known? To weigh his heart down with shame, you are indeed a wicked person. End him!"
The first Priest and third Priest fired at him, but in a flash he dodge their attacks, throwing the bag at the third one and knocking him over. He flashed in front of the first one and open fist Palm him in the chest, sending him falling across into the wall. The second Priest came right at him along with the third one, he swung his rod around coming up from the left and the third one came to the left. Brutus dodged the third one and side kick him back, the second one swung around, spinning his rod around. He poked him in the stomach, then as Brutus winced, holding his stomach, he side flips, both kicking and hitting him in the back with the rod. Brutus fell to the ground, but rolled out of the way as the third one was about to bring the dagger down.
He growled, spun to the side and fired at him. Brutus dodged the shots but then an arrow slashed his left arm, drawing blood.
"Not enough." Brutus mumbled under his breath. The second one came up, right in front of him, striking him in the face. He stumbled back...as the Bell stopped ringing and the monsters were starting to come.
"End this now!" The Bishop yelled, he lift up his sword, causing a light barrier and slashed an Ecto Imp in half with his magical blade.
This first one took the shot. In slow motion: As the arrow came at him, Brutus grabbed the second one's rod and swung him into the third. He grabbed the arrow...
"NO! STOP HIM!" The Bishop yelled, but it was too late, Brutus stabbed into the wound from earlier and let the blood drain down his arm.
"Let the feast begin, my blood has been spilled, I offer it as tribute...Life force's liquid. Come to my aid, Claw of Beelzebub."
The Incantation was complete, Brutus's eyes turned to a blood orange color, the dark energy of this blood lust that escape from his body, filled the area and and destroyed the Bishop's Barrier. Out of the bend of his arm, he pulled out a chain of pure black sliver, the chain was short, about 8ft but thick...he winced in pain as he flung it out, the other stabbed a zombie square in the head. The other end was like his tattoo, it was the sharp of a crescent moon or...a beast's claw. It's outer and tip was pure black steel, while the inner shined brightly with a silver silver; the other end had a loop for the chain.
The three Priests' mouths shot open, this weapon, the Fabled Demon's Claw of the Famous Arch Fiend Beelzebub, a demonic and monstrous Giant who the Gods sealed away. The Claw was as long as Brutus' arm. Miss Shee watched on the roof, excited at this new discovery.
"He had a Demonic Weapon? Oh..." Miss Shee seemed thrilled.
"He's summoned the Demonic weapon?!" the first Priest shouted in disbelief, but filled with rage at this betrayal, "YOU'VE BETRAYED US! HOW COULD YOU! WE ALL LOOKED UP TO YOU!" The first Priest started firing at him, he blocked it with the claw and while spinning the other end, he flung the other end around the first one's ankle and pulled just as he was about to shoot again. The arrow accidentally hit the Bishop on the left side of his chest, the first one was suddenly over swarmed by monsters.
"NO!" The second Priest yelled, he tried to run over there but he had to fight off a snow Revenant. Brutus the claw towards the horde, slashing off must of their heads, but before he could rush over there, a Gigas stood in his way. Just as the Gigas brought its axe down, he was able to pull the claw into his hand and grabbing the loop and block the attack. There was so much force behind the block, that the Gigas' axe fell right out of its hand and in an upwards' motion, Brutus cut it in half. The Bishop was busying trying to cut through the horde.
"YOU TRAITOR!" The third one yelled, running towards him and Firing, he shot a Snow Revenant in the face, jumped on its back and side flipped right over him, still firing. He rolled onto the ground and still on his knee with a swift turn, fired at Brutus. Brutus kneed him right in the jaw and side kick right in the ear, causing him to roll. He tried to got back up and fired but his balance and aim was off and he missed Brutus completely but hit some some phantoms.
The second one came right at him, frustrated now, he lunged at his head but Brutus just blocked it with his chain, the third one came back, slashing wildly. Brutus got rid of the second one when the clashed face to face and he head butted him. The second one stumbled back but regained his senses as a Phantom came at him.
The third one still slashing wildly, spinning and twirling around, his wild moves made it hard for him to dodge. They clashed face to face with his claw and the third one's Pistol daggers, but Brutus had the upper hand as he flung the chain around the man's right wrist, causing him to drop it.
" You filthy possessed piece of trash! HOW DARE YOU SPIT IN HIS HOLINESS' FACE!?" The Priest yelled in frustration as he tried throwing several punches but Brutus block. He slashed at him right across the face with the other dagger, "May the Great Abyss pull you into the depths of hell where you belong."
Brutus's face was in complete rising rage shock as he turned it back around towards him, revealing a cut on his cheek.
Miss Shee gasped in horror, "No, not the face."
The Priest looked in horror as the cut begin to heal, his face turned into disgust, "YOU'RE NOT EVEN HUME ANYMORE!"
"I guess he'll take you to hell before me." His tone seem nonchalant but the bitter rage and blood lust that poured from his lips was intoxicating, his eyes flashed a blood orange color. He looped the chain around the other hand as the chain started to burn. The Priest screamed in agony as smoke seemed to come from the contact and with one pull, his hands came off. The Priest screamed in horror and fell to his knees. Brutus swung at a Zombie that burst into flames. He looped the chain around his neck...
"say hi to Morte for me." With that, Brutus pulled hard, and the third one's head came clean off.
"A little to gross for me, but such passion." She looked with hearts in her eyes, the Captain frowned.
"CURSE YOU!" The second one yelled as he and the bishop rush towards him, slicing and cutting several Snow Revenants in his path. The second one spun around with his rod twirling around his waist, with a side flip and lunge, he aimed to knock him off his feet. Brutus dodged the attack but jumping up and punching him in the face. The second one fall back but jumped right back to his feet and just as the Bishop came right behind him. With one lunge, he stabbed him, he grinned as this was finally over but gasped as Brutus looked back at him. The Bishop could see that Brutus dodge the attack at the last second, leaving only a bloody scratch, wrapped the chain around his blade and made it stab the second Priest (who was right in front of him) in the stomach.
"NO! YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS! FOR ALL OF THIS!" The bishop rolled right past him and grabbed the Second one's rod.
"Maybe you should consider taking your wounded-"
"Not until you're destroyed! Not until his Holiness' honor has been restored!" The Bishop lunged with such a rage, Brutus slammed his claw to the ground but the Bishop rolled to the side and jumped right at him. He hit him in the side, where the scratch was, for some reason it didn't heal. Brutus cried out at the pain, causing Miss Shee to watch on the edge of the roof.
"C'mon My Love, you can do it." She begged.
Brutus pulled the claw into his hand as the Bishop was coming in for another strike, he brought the claw down, cutting the rod in half; but that didn't stop the bishop, he just spun them around and continued his attacks.
"EVEN NOW, INSTEAD OF ACCEPTING YOUR FATE, YOU STILL FIGHT HIM! HE SENT US TO SAVE YOUR SOUL! TO FREE YOU FROM THE PAIN OF THAT DEMONIC WEAPON! AND LOOK AT YOU! YOU FIGHT BACK!" With each word, the bishop swung, smacking him in the face and stomach, tripping him up, kicking him in the chin and a side kick in the face, that made him fly into the wall, "Once your soul is cleansed, I'll remove the weapon from your body and take it to the Archbishop. Only he could handle such a dangerous weapon."
Brutus was coughing up blood now and he was wheezing.
"You've passed your limit, surrender peacefully."
Miss Shee had enough, "Oh Captain, I believe someone needs to be-" she was interrupted by Brutus' lively chuckle. It seemed so unnerving, compared to his stern personality. She went right back to the edge, he spat blood on the ground but stood back up.
"You think he sent you to save my soul...who do you think gave me with this Curse weapon...in the first place."
"What?" Both Bishop and Miss Shee asked, completely surprise.
"How interesting, the plot thickens." Miss Shee smiled.
"He said he needed my strength, so I swallowed the horrible nightmares...and did what he asked...trained to have some control over this weapon because I believed it would benefit my brethren...the ArchBishop...I was so blind...He's just a Hume like the rest of us. He and Hemlock sent you here...the real reason... Because they're afraid that I'll talk...and they want it back...but I'm not gonna give it back...and let him use it on another child.. oh no...I've got a better use for it.' He swung the chain and it grabbed around the Bishop's waist, with one forceful tug dropping the sticks, and slammed into a wall.
"YOU LIE! YOU'RE A LIAR!" He came at him, elbowing him in the throat and head butted him but Brutus recovered, his eyes flashed Blood Orange.
He's had enough. He was covered in sweat, his vision was going blurry and his body was weakening...
You're in my heart, in my heart, in my head (I don't own this song)
He grabbed the bishop around the neck with the claw in his hand which was beaming red like a beacon and Brutus was just looking down at it.
"Normally I wouldn't...but.." He looked right at the Bishop, stabbed him in the shoulder and left it there, "Fun Fact: did you know that Beelzebub's blood lust must be filled everything this weapon is summoned? It seems...to want...yours."
"No...No!" The Bishop screamed as his body started to wither.
You're in my heart, in my heart, in my head
"And that was no lie." He pushed the Bishop's body down, he was still alive but he looked like a dried husk. The First Priest was still alive, he limped and just ran away while the second one grabbed a pistol dagger and tried to aim, only to be stopped by the Captain who decapitated him.
Miss Shee flew down with a smile, "Oh darling, you were like...totally fantastic." She hovered right in front of him. He was staggering a little bit, trying to walk away. She lifted his chin up to her as she continued her hypnotic singing.
You're in my heart, in my heart, in my head
You're in my heart, in my heart, in my head
"Who...what...are..."Brutus coughed up more blood and fell down right on her. She held him lovingly as he rested on her chest.
"Awwww...he totally just like worn his little...big self out. Demonic weapons always...always have a like...totally redonkulous price, like Demons themselves." She laughed, "Now, why don't I take you back to my totally rad pad, My little Shark."
"And Me?"
"Oh...you could totally be like a big swell help and hold him for me. Just be careful with my new favorite toy." She giggled lovingly as the captain held him, she pinched him by both cheeks and shook his head side to side, "He has like a lot to tell me."
Her crystal ball started to ring, she pulled it out of her pocket and winced at who was calling, she turned around to the Captain, "Oh...why don't you like take my little Sharkie to my hotel room? That would be total awesome sauce."
"SSSSPPPPYYYYY!" The Mistress' voice surprised her, nearly caused her to drop it but she caught it.
"Mistress, you should totally like keep it down-"
The Mistress cleared her throat, gaining back her cool compromise, " I despise waiting...unless it's watching my enemies...in...*sighingly in ecstasy* Absoulte Agony." She blushed at the thrill, there was a licking sound that drew the Spy's fleeting attention.
"What's that?"
"Well, I grew tired of waiting in a cave, so we conquered a small village," The Mistress was sitting in a comfy chair while one of the local man was polishing her boot, or should I say, licking her boot. Bricen watched from the side in horror as she had this Large Man waiting on her hand and foot, " Now then...enough about that..Have you got the Demon Wielder?"
"How did you know about that? Were you like doing the whole stalker mode thing again?"
"Stalk you...oh no...lets just...continue the mission." She hung up, she sighed in glory, but then looked over at Bricen, she slid over and patted the cushion right next to her, he obediently sat and winced as she hugged him, "Ah...you have a question...I just know you do?"
"Ah...how did you know Demon Wielder? Or the Cathedral...you were talking to that Bishop...or-"
She shushed him, "The best thing...is knowing what makes people tick."
Buttercup and Butch
Buttercup jumped to the wall, pushing off and with a spin, she slammed a Ghoul square on the head with her hammer. As a zombie lunged at her, she rolled right across its back, back kicked it, side kick the Snow Revenant in front and spun the hammer around. She stood in a fighting stance, surrounded by undead monsters, she was out of breath and growled in frustration. She had transformed but it barely seemed to make a difference.
"OUT OF THE WAY! I'M IN A HURRY!" She screamed, her laser beam shot out of her eyes and cut through the front part. A pale man monster grabbed from behind and wrapped its arms around her neck. Fang flew on the monster and hissed out a lava ball, she reached back and flipped it over to the ground and stomped it in the face. She tried to fly but she was pulled down by a reaper, which slashed her in the arm, "Damn it, now I'm pissed. Earth:Overdrive!" She shouted.
Her belt glowed As she transformed once again: She punched her arm out as green energy growing like roots went across it: Green laced fingerless gloves appeared, it went further to her chest and legs: a yellow tank top and green biker shorts with zippers in the front materialize and a star formed in front of her belly button. Tree roots sprung up and grew onto her short jacket, making it grow longer, until it formed a dark green sleeveless duster like jacket and a yellow rose flew on to her back. She spin kick in the air and with another kick, held her foot out as green roots wrapped around them and materialized into black biker boots with green laces. As her transformation was finishing up, a strange new addition appeared: a green star hair clip on her head, and she punched into the air.
"SESMIC QUACK!" She yelled as she stomped, the ground started to shake enough for the monster to fall, except for the Reaper which just lunged at her. She jumped onto the wall, pushing off and spun side kicking the reaper down the ground and as she landed have the monster a strong punch in its large face and into light. The sheer force of her punch made the ground rumble and sent the monsters flying back and the ones closer to her, were destroyed from the impact.
Fang was clawing a zombie in the eyes and spit out lava, even with a small spit, it was enough to destroy the monster. Fang jumped off and flew right in front of Buttercup, hissing with its wings spread high and its claws out.
"C'mon! Fang!" She elbowed a pale monster square in the stomach and threw it on the ground. She grabbed him, with one jump on the wall, she pushed off on to the next and back until she was over the horde, and landed on a Gigas. She ran down to the corner and turned, she charged at several ghouls, running them over as she past a street, she saw a flash and slid into a stop. She went back, seeing some of the monster flying into the sky and being finished off by lances.
"Butch...HEY BUTCH!" She screamed happy to see him...sort of...but he didn't seem to hear her.
A phantom was ripped in half, clearing her sight to see him. Butch was holding two of his lances while the other five were encircling a mother and her son, a zombie lunged for them but he blocked its attack and slashed it up.
"OPEN UP! THERE'S PEOPLE OUT HERE!" He banged on a door, the door suddenly opened and the Mother and Son rushed inside, "JUST CLOSE...IT!"
"Wait..what abou-"
Butch cried out in pain as a ghoul scartched his back, "*BEEP*IN CLOSE IT!" He slammed the door, spinning around with one lance around his waist and with one leap forward low kicked a ghoul to the ground and stabbed it in the chest.
A Gigas turned around, charging at her, swinging its axe at her, but she jump kicked it out of its hand, spun kick it in the stomach; and as the axe was falling back down, she back flipped, held her hand back, and caught the handle and threw it right at the Gigas. The axe cut it in half, went right through him and hit several of the other undead monsters before fading away.
"I'm glad that worked out," She said to herself as she ran across the opening and right beside Butch, she slammed her hammer down on a Snow Revenant but she didn't even know what to say, "Eh...Ah...I...I...I. Hey..."
"Move it!" Butch yelled as he pulled her out of a Phantom's attack, "Watch it, if that thing gets you, it'll steal your face."
Buttercup tried to kick it but it only just went through, so did her punch.
"Move!" Butch yelled again, Buttercup ducked as Butch threw a powerful gust at it and threw his lances, destroying it, "Wha? Ugh...Ghosts type Monsters are only affected by magic attacks or magical weapons!"
Buttercup's eyes widened and she seemed to turn pale. "Ghosts...GHOSTS!" She seemed to squeal like a little girl, "I HATE GHOSTS! THEY'RE AS BAD AS SKIRTS!" Buttercup swung at an incoming Ecto Imp, the hammer seem to have an affect as it was smashed into light orbs. Butch finished off the last ones with his White Whorl spell (A burst of wind and lighting all wrapped in a tornado).
"You're kiddin' me, you..can...be so...weird...sometimes." Butch started to wheeze. Buttercup stopped her squealing and noticed that Butch seemed a little out of it, he was breathing heavily with a wheeze, he was turning a grayish pale color, and was covered in sweat, "What are you doing? Stop gawking and get this door opened, get inside...you'll be safe...before...there's another...attack."
"What the hell? You're about to get another attack aren't you?" Buttercup asked, it's been a while since the last attack, "What...what do you need? Where's your bag...with that weird bottle?"
"I'll be...fine..." Butch was leaning his arm against the wall and his hand resting on his forehead. He was squinting and blinking, trying to keep his eyes from rolling back into his head.
"Buuuttttcccchhh." Buttercup looked at him in the eyes with a fiery glare, "Your bag?"
"I didn't bring...it." He answered with a wheeze.
"WHAT? We gotta find shelter, you can't fight like this!" Buttercup looked around, she was trying to stay calm but she just didn't know what to do.
"Can't." Butch struggled.
"We have to go back to the Church thingie!" Buttercup suggested, breathing heavily as the panic started to seethe through.
"Too Far...Bubbles." Butch struggled as he tried to fight back, but his head swirled as he was trying to fight back the visions.
"AVENGE ME!"
"What are you gonna do to stop me, Little Brother?" A pair of bright yellow eyes staring down at him, with pure hatred.
Another horde was approaching...
"I don't have time for this." Buttercup growled, she ran right towards them, jumping high into the air, and side axe kick on a zombie. She charged right at a ghoul, her arm went right into its neck, she turned around with a double spin kick, hitting both zombie and reaper. As a Pale Man Monster came at her, hammered it in the face, grabbing her Gem necklace.
"Ursa Minor and Major." She said hoping it worked as she was starting to get swamped. Her gem glowed green, a magic circle appeared underneath her feet in the symbol of two bears, and the two sisters came out of it. Hovering over her, she back kick a zombie, slide kick a Gigas, before it could hit the ground, she upper cut it in the stomach and grabbed it by the leg and throws it into the horde.
Buttercup paled and squeaked as she saw Ghost type Monsters coming out of the ground, "Oh damn...I don't know any magic."
Fang Spartan lava ball, which seem to push them away. Minor started casting its icy spells, freezing the hordes and the Phantoms, while Major summoned its spike Ball, attacking the frozen monsters, shattering them. Buttercup copied her, attacking the frozen phantoms with her hammer. Thanks to the Ursa twins, Buttercup was able to cut through the horde.
"Thanks." Buttercup said to them, but her legs crumpled underneath her. It didn't take a lot of energy to summon them, but it took its toll, especially with all that fighting, Butch still fighting the attack.
She helped him up and begin to move forward, "BUBBLES! BUBBLES!" She cried out. That's when the skies seemed to rumble, there was something dark looming over the clouds. She placed Butch against the wall as She was trying to get a closer look. Her gem was glowing purple again...
"Its here...he's here...but why? WHY?" She just asked herself, that's when...a gust of wind, blasted right past her and knocking a phantom right in front of her. It got Twins attention, as they destroyed it.
"You really need to...watch your...back...with ghost types..."Butch struggled to talk, as he leaned against the wall.
"Damn it!" Buttercup rushed to his side, as he slid down to the wall, she held him up, "I don't have time to worry about that...thing. Butch, JUST HANG IN THERE!"
He never answered, his wings ripped out of his back, his eyes rolled to the back of his head, and his body started convulsing as he fell forward. Buttercup turned him into his back...that...was the dark figure lowered itself below the clouds and a wail was released throughout the city, Monsters started to rise...
"SON OF A BITCH!" Buttercup struggled, a sense of panic shot through her body, the monsters were coming down the streets, the Ursa Twins prepared for battle, and Fang stood ready and hissing, "Damn! DAMN! DAMN!" She panicked, as Butch was convulsing harder than she's ever seen, "What to do? What do I do?"
She grabbed hold of his head as he kept banging it the ground, he scratched her cheek as his hands were moving wildly around. Each wheezed and gasped was almost enough to bring tears in her eyes, once again that helpless feeling was starting to consumed her.
"I don't know what to do! I don't know how to help!"
Another Horde was coming...another attack...Ursa Minor stepped in, casting its spells from behind her and Major was throwing its spike ball from in front of her.
Buttercup looked up as something engulfed them in her shadow, she looked up and saw...a large purple beam fired right down at them on. It was just pure instinct, she slammed her fist at the building: "STONE BARRIER!"
Its stony material stretched out, shielding around them. Buttercup wrapped her arms around Butch and Fang, hoping that she could shield them. As the blast cleared...she opened her eyes, and gasped...Her barrier crumpled and so did...the Ursa's and their barrier.
They had shield her...they protected her...her stone wall couldn't help them.
She watched with tears in her eyes as they both faded with smiles on their faces. As Butch struggled just to breathe...
"I'm so useless...so useless...I can't protect anyone...I can't help. HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO BE THIS *BEEP*IN STAR GODDESS WHEN I CAN'T HELP NO ONE!" Her spirit seemed crushed all the weight seem to come down on her all at once, her shadow became larger...with pair of red eyes, she stood up looking up at Morte, who seem to chuckle at her despair, "Son of a bitch! WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME!"
Her belt glowed bright yellow...she remembered the incantation...
"With feeling."
"GATHER!" She screamed at the top of her lungs, a bright yellow symbol appeared below her feet and a yellow mark in the shape of a crown glowed on her left arm. This energy was pulsing and burning onto her left arm. Getting Morte's attention, it hovered towards her, pulling out its bony sword, its eyes fixated on her as it commanded a horde.
She was surprised that it worked...she continued...
"Gather! O Ocean of light that's guided by the Angelic wings!
Shine without mercy! Heal the weak and Banish The Dark! BLESSED LIGHT!"
She screamed, with left arm up in the air. The sheer force of this spell, she felt it coming from the earth, channeling through her body. The light poured out of her body and up towards the sky, her hair flowed upwards and she just closed her eyes.
It erupted in a flash of brilliance that was so bright and powerful, that the whole world seemed quiet as the light engulfed them, with Morte trying to escape it but he too was caught in it. A shadow stretched out behind her...with red eyes...reaching for her...
It wasn't until the brilliant light faded, that everyone could see that the monsters were gone, faded into light fire flies.
Butch just opened his eyes, strangely enough his wounds were gone and his attack just stopped, which never happened before. He winced as his wings went right back into his skin.
Butch was scratching his head, looking around, "What the hell- Buttercup...Buttercup?" He tapped her on the cheek several times, but she didn't wake up, his heart felt...strange, he check her pulse on her arm and her breathing, but his hand went right back to her cheek.
Butch's heart was beating so fast as he was leaning so close to her, he gulped as he looked down at the ground. His face felt so hot that it could burn through thick ice, "Oh Buttercup...I'm sorry...I didn't want to yell at you...I didn't mean it...you don't have a big mouth...in fact...I..." He looked up and found her staring right at him, he jumped back, "Buttercup! OH! *clear throat* Buttercup, you're ok?" Her skin seemed to be...a strange...light purplish smog color.
"Yes...of course." She seemed to answer plainly. He stood up, helping her up, "You were going to say something?"
Butch blushed, seemed to have gotten a little nervous, but then he just sighed, "Nothing...nothing at all. I mean...it's something but nothing at the same time...but I-"
"Buttercup! BUTCH!" A voice yelled.
"Hey GUYS!" Brianna yelled as she and Blitz ran towards them. Buttercup was back in her regular clothes...with this vacant stare, "We've been looking for you guys everywhere."
"Oh...yes...I'm sorry...We should get going, shouldn't we?" Buttercup asked, she was about to walk away, but Blitz stopped her.
"Ah Buttercup, aren't you forgetting someone?" He asked, holding Fang up to her.
"Oh...yes of course." She just answered, holding her hands up, she as she was about to grab Fang, he woke up and started hissing and screaming at her. Fang was going so wild that Blitz let him go, and Fang climb on his shoulder, hissing at Buttercup.
"What the hell's wrong with him?" Brianna asked.
Buttercup just shrugged and walked along, "I couldn't say...maybe he's tired. We really should find the others..I'm worried about Sam." Buttercup continued to walk ahead, her eyes glowed red and unbeknownst to the others...she opened and closed her hand like she was pinching the air.
