Aki: We're back and alive!
Happy: Aye!
Aki: And you know what that means, right?
Happy: Aye sir! Fanfiction is still continuing! Kingdom cure even gave me a big fish as thanks for telling you all the warning. It was so good~!
Aki: *sweat drop* I see that all you can think about is fish.
Happy: Aye! And that's not the only thing that makes me happy!
Aki: How is thinking about nothing but fish make you Happy?
Happy: Wrong; not that happy. I mean smiling happy.
Aki: Oh. That's what you mean.
Aki's thought: It's confusing to know what he means by 'happy' when his name is Happy.
Aki: Then what makes you happy right now? Is it that the 'Fairy Tail' anime is finally going to continue?
Happy: Aye! And no!
Aki: 'No'? Then what are you happy for?
Happy: Well you see...
Aki: Well I see...
Happy: That's a secret!
Aki: Seriously? You can't tell your own boss?
Happy: Aye! Kingdom cure told me that she'll give me a wagon filled with big fish if I said nothing about what she told me earlier!
Aki: *sweat drop* You really do love fish, I see.
Happy: Aye! Ah! I almost forgot! *takes out a stack of paper* The author is done with this chapter.
Aki: Speaking of her, is she still in hiding from you-know-who?
Happy: Aye! In fact she's still tying to have her to be her bodyguard.
Aki: Her? Well, we're wasting enough time, let's get on with this story.
Happy: Aye sir! Kingdom cure doesn't own One Piece or Kingdom Hearts. And partial credit of this story goes to her beta reader, EvanderAdvent.
Last time:
"Welcome to the group, Rep!" I took out an empty card and my new ally jumped inside of it.
"Now, Summon: Ryu Dragon!" I took out Wyvern's card and summoned him. "After gaining a new ally, I feel like wanting to head to Rainbase as fast as possible. You know what that means, Wyvern!" My dragon ally nodded its head and I got onto its back. "Go at full speed!" I commanded. We got out of the room the same way we came in and flew our way to our destination.
Rainbase was within sight. Wyvern saw this and charged at full speed. On our way there, I was thinking of a plan on how to find out about Crocodile's weakness. That way, while Zoro and the others fight against those top agents of Baroque Works, and while I'm going up against one of the organization members, Luffy will be able to take down Crocodile. He wants to fight him more than any of us do, even Vivi.
Speaking of Vivi, I still wondered what that flashback was about. How was I able to see what Rep saw years ago? Or was it years ago? No, it had to be years ago; that woman that looked like Vivi looked older than the princess.
'I don't know what to think anymore,' I thought, getting a small headache from all this thinking. I shook the thought out of my head and began to think about how I will uncover Crocodile's weakness for Luffy.
When we arrived at Rainbase, Wyvern instantly flew us over to an alley. Once there, I returned him back into his card and put up my hood. I didn't want to cause unneeded attention now that I have a bounty on my head. And since one of the organization member has already become known to this world, there's little to no doubt that the people here will think that I'm his ally, seeing that we donned the same coat.
Seeing how late it is, I decided to stay in an inn for the night. After finding a cheap one, at least, the cheapest one I can find here, I paid for my stay and went to my assigned room and planned out what I should do for tomorrow. Seeing that I got nothing, I lied back down on my bed in frustration.
"Oh man! Isn't there anything I can do here while waiting for them?!" I asked out loud in frustration. I turned my head and my eyes laid on a picture on the wall. It was well-drawn; it was a picture of Arabasta on a rainy day. Many people seemed happy on that day with the water they were receiving. I got out of bed and took a closer look at the picture. There was also a date shown on the corner, which was three years ago (A/N: It may have said what era, but the show never really told us the year).
'Damn it. Is there really nothing I could do at the moment?' I thought. 'I know we promised Vivi to help her stop the war somehow, but how can we if we don't know how to beat Crocodile? Especially since he's considered as a hero of this country?! Not only that... there's no doubt that Vivi's father didn't use those Dance Powder to steal this country's rain, so why didn't it rain for three years?!' A thought hit me when I mentally mentioned that. 'Hang on... Three years? Now that I think about it, how long was Crocodile here?' Another thought occurred to me. 'And speaking of rain... '
I walked out of my room, my hood up to cover my face. I saw that the manager was still in the lobby and ran up to him. "Excuse me!" I called.
"Hmm? Is there any problem?" he asked.
"I was just wondering. This country hasn't rain for three years, right?" I questioned.
"Yes that's right."
"Did anything happen on the day when it stopped raining?"
"Hmm... Not that I can think of. But our savior, Crocodile did appear on our country that day. He was a great help to us all. Because of the lack of rain and trust towards the king, we were all powerless against pirates who stopped by here. We thought we could count on the rebels at first, but their only goal is to destroy the kingdom in hopes of bringing back this country's rain. That was when Crocodile came. None of us knew how, but he managed to mummify those pirates. A scary sight indeed, but those pirates deserves to die. Even though he's a pirate himself, he sides with the Government. As such, there's no doubt that he cares for our well-beings."
"So you're saying that he came here almost the same time when rain ceased to fall here in this country?"
"Yes, that's right."
"Okay. Now can you tell me how is it that this city seemed less affected by the drought? Of what I heard, all the cities in this country shouldn't have that much water at all. Yet, on my way here, I saw a moat surrounding a building that seemed important to this town."
"You mean Rain Dinners? Well that's thanks to Crocodile as well. I don't know how he did it, but somehow, he kept this place safe for all the residents here. Ah, Rain Dinners is a place where you gamble for money. I thing it's because of that place that this town is safe from the drought."
"I have my doubts about that," I softly muttered to myself. "Speaking of Crocodile, do you know where he's staying?"
"Do you have an appointment with him?"
"You could say something like that..."
"How so?"
'This guy asks too many questions. It makes me wonder if he's actually a member of Baroque Works,' I thought. 'Now as for the reason... Oh yeah!'
"I was offered to join his company," I answered.
"What?! Is that so?!" the manager asked. I nodded at his question. "If that's the case, then you can have your money back! I can't accept money from my savior or his acquaintances!" Before I could protest, he already gave me back my money... along with some extra money that he accidentally took out. "Anyway, I don't know where he stays, but I do know that he owns Rainbase. You can see him in the morning."
"Okay. One more thing; since he's siding with the Government, do you know what kind of powers he has? Or what his specialty is?"
"Hmm... Well I only know that he came mummify people. Oh! He can even create sandstorms!"
"Sandstorms?"
"Yes. My guess is that he ate a fruit that allowed him to have such a power. Anything else you like to ask?"
"No. That's all I need to know. Thank you, and have a good night," I said, as I walked back to my room.
As I lie in bed, I was putting all the information together. 'Three years... For three years, it never rain. For three years, Crocodile was considered as a hero here. For about three years, Vivi and Igaram infiltrated Baroque Works. For three years, while all the other cities here were dried up, this city, Rainbase, is the only city unaffected by the drought. As for Crocodile's power, he mummifies people and creates sandstorm. Or rather he controls sand. No, he is sand himself.' It didn't take much longer for me to put part of the pieces together. 'Crocodile's weakness is water! But wait... why would he want to take away this county's rain? For what reason does he have in doing so?' I then recalled the Poneglyph that I encountered on my way here. Realization hit me so hard, I quickly sat up. 'It can't be! He knows that there are other worlds out there?! But why go-? Oh yeah; Cobra and Vivi's look alike, who I assume is her mother, also know about the other world. It's possible that they told their soldiers about this for extra protection of the Poneglyph. That's why Crocodile framed the king and why he wanted to start a war between the two sides.' My mind automatically recalled what Ms. All-Sunday said about this weapon.
"I'm afraid I can't do that, since you weild the power that can most likely destroy the world... You weild the Keyblade. So who knows how you're going to use that power?"
'If what she said is true, does the Keyblade also cause destruction?... If fallen to the wrong hands, it would. Maybe that's the reason why Crocodile wants the Keyblade; to bring nothing but endless destruction here in this world.' I lie back down and summoned my weapon. 'You really are nothing but trouble, aren't you? Not only can you open the gates between worlds, or so it sounds like from that flashback I saw from Rep's memory, but you can also cause destruction if fallen into the wrong hands. I can't help but wonder how that works out, though. And speaking of which, why do I even weild the Keyblade? The creator of these Dream Eaters, who is, without a doubt, the Keyblade Master, never said why or how this thing chooses its weilder. Now that I think about it, I don't think Voice told me why either?'
I began to close my eyes, for I was beginning to develop a small headache from all this thinking, and let sleep take me.
*DREAM*
I found myself sitting at the clock tower, with an ice cream in my hand. Sitting next to me was Roxas, who has the same kind of ice cream in his hand. I don't know why, but I felt horrible for some reason, like something bad happened to me.
"Wonder where Axel is?" Roxas said. For some reason, I couldn't turn to face him. "Guess we got our job done early." As much as I wanted to continue the conversation he started, my mouth and voice said otherwise. It was as though I was in a deep thought, even though I was paying attention to what he's saying. It was then that I was seeing something else.
It was night time and I in front of the mansion, lying down on my front out of exhaustion. In front of me was another boy. In fact, he looked- no, he is that silver-haired boy from that day when I first went to my Dive to the Heart. A Keyblade, my Keyblade, landed between us. Instead of getting up, though, I collapsed. That silver-haired boy walked towards me, knelt down and felt him pick up my hood. He picked up one side of his blindfold to see my face. His eyes widened for some reason, as he stood back up in bewilderment.
"You... Who are you? Why do you have the Keyblade?" he questioned me, as I picked myself up and put my hood back on.
"You tell me first... Why are you dressed as one of us?" I asked back.
"To make sure my best friend sleeps in peace," he answered, as he made his way towards my Keyblade. "I don't know who you're suppose to be, but you can't fight fire with sparks." He picked up my weapon. "This Keyblade... It's a sham."
When he said that, he just carelessly threw it away. The last statement made me angry. "My Keyblade is a fake? Don't just decide things by yourself!" I demanded. I took my Keyblade and ran towards him. Just when I was about to land a blow on him, he spun and landed a hit on me. I fell and my Keyblade dismissed itself. How he is this skilled with a blindfold on him is what I will never know.
"Sorry for that but for now, hurry. Stop working for those guys," he told me.
"Why? You're the real sham," I replied in pain.
"Fair enough. You could say I'm the biggest nobody of them all." With that answer, he just left. Seeing him just leave me... and seeing myself like this... I screamed out in frustration and agony.
"Xion? Xion?" I heard. Opening my eyes, I found myself back on the clock tower. "What's the matter with you today?" Roxas asked me.
"Sorry. My mind's on other things," I replied. Facing him I asked, "Hey Roxas. Why are we doing all this?"
"What do you mean 'why'? So we can get hearts of our own, right?" he answered.
"Are hearts really that important?"
"I don't know. But I figure once we have them, we'll be in a better position to judge. Don't you think?"
"Maybe. I don't know. I just wish I knew what I was doing here? How I got here..." I placed my hand on my head. "I started having the strangest dreams."
"Strangest dreams?"
"I can never remember what they're about. But... for some reason I'm scared." An awkward silence fell upon us as I got up from my spot and began to walk away.
"Well, if it makes you feel better, Xigbar said you and I are special Nobodies," Roxas broke the silence.
"Special... Is that so? I bet it's because I'm a mistake," I said.
"That's not it at all." Another silence fell.
"Well we both may be special, Roxas, but I don't think we're the same." I ended the conversation with giving him my ice cream that hasn't melted yet and walked away from him.
*REALITY*
I sat up from my bed, sweat trailing down my face from that dream I had.
"What was that about?" I wondered out loud.
After showering, brushing my teeth and putting my clothes, I walked out of the inn and did a little more investigating of Rainbase. Every single one of these citizens were extremely calm, though that was to be expected, considering that their 'hero' is in this town and the drought never happens here.
'How can I get Crocodile to reveal his true colours?' I asked myself. 'I could infiltrate Baroque Works, but that would cause a misunderstanding to the crew if they get here. And if they did manage to see through my act, Luffy will blurt it out, making it useless. I could try and impose as one of the other Organization member, but what if that other member is already there and knows me?'
While I was thinking, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going and bumped into someone.
"Sorry about that," that person apologized, as I got up.
"No, I'm sorry. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going," I said, lending the person my hand. Imagine my surprise at who I bumped into.
"Huh? X-... Xion?" she gasped.
"Tashigi? Is that really you?!" I asked, helping her up.
"Yeah," she nodded. "Why are you here?"
"I could ask you the same thing. I thought your base is in the East Blue." Master Chief Petty Officer Tashigi. We became friends after a small misunderstanding back on Tanoshi Island. She was there after hearing rumors about a demon roaming around there. That rumor wasn't suppose to be known to non-pirates, but somehow it got to her island. After clearing that up, we became friends. Of course, she expected me to become a Marine, despite the fact that I hinted out many times that I'm going to join a pirate crew to make it here.
"I'm here to arrest a pirate that got away from me. Not only that he also lied to me, hiding his identity as a pirate," Tashigi reasoned.
"I see. I wonder who he is." 'Although I bet I have an idea who,' I mentally added.
"You should know him. He's a former bounty hunter who uses three swords. Pirate Hunter... Roronoa Zoro," Tashigi told me.
'I THOUGHT SO!' "You don't say. Why would someone like him be... Speaking of which, I don't think you told me the island your base is at," I said, realizing that Tashigi never told me about the island she came from.
"It's the island that the former Pirate King, Gold Roger was born and killed."
'Born and killed? Wait don't tell me...' I thought, having a horrible feeling about this.
"Loguetown." 'WHY DID I JINX MYSELF?!' Thinking of nothing else, I casted my Sleep magic on her. The moment she was knocked out, I ran as far as I could away from her and the scene that I caused.
'Why?' I wondered. 'Out of all people I never wanted to see in this situation, why did it have to be Tashigi?!'
I recalled several memories about how we met and became friends. They were really good times, even though the time was short. I felt guilty in keeping my secret about joining a pirate crew from her that day, knowing how much she hates them. Especially with the fact that some pirates use swords that she had her eyes on, such as one of Zoro's sword, for example.
'I just hope that Luffy and the others don't bump into her and tell her about me being a pirate,' I continued to think. 'In fact, I hope that that's the last time we will meet in the Grand Line or that if we ever do meet in the future, it won't be with my nakamas.'
I continued to run until I had no energy left to run. As I pant, good memories about my time with Tashigi dwelled in my head, making me feel even more guilty. As they did, I reached for my necklace in my pocket, only to feel it not there. I panicked a bit and checked all of my pockets and my neck, only to see that it's gone.
"Can't this day get any better?" I wondered out loud. "First I had my little not-so-happy reunion with Tashigi, and now my necklace that Miki made for me is gone. Not only that, I even had this weird dream last night. Speaking of that, what's with that dream? And not only that... That blindfolded boy... Who is he, exactly?"
