It was the day after Father's Day.
Carlos had the day off, so he stayed in bed a little longer after Logan woke up.
James and Logan were currently making breakfast while Kendall was currently on his way to work.
After he clocked in, he was told to go to the Games office.
He couldn't possibly be getting promoted, could he?
When he got there, he saw his Supervisor who called him to another room.
"Kendall, I have good news."
"Oh my god. You mean…"
"Yes. You are getting promoted to a Lead."
"Thank you. I thought I was in trouble"
"Nope. You're one of my best employees. Now take this to make your promotion official."
His new name tag.
It looked so new and official; he couldn't but take a picture.
Immediately, he got a so many likes and comments on Facebook.
He didn't have time to respond to them as he went to go start his shift.
Meanwhile at home, James couldn't help but tell the guys about Kendall's good news.
"Kendall got promoted!"
"That's so cool."
"I know. I'm proud of him." James said.
At the same time, Carlos woke up. But not cause he wanted to.
He went straight to the bathroom and looked for some fever medicine.
After taking it, he went back to bed, coughing loud enough for Logan to hear.
"Carlos? Are you okay?" Logan asked as he opened their bedroom door.
"I don't think so" Carlos said in-between coughs. "I have a fever. My head is burning."
"I'll go get a rag with water for you."
"What's wrong?" James asked Logan who was opened kitchen cabinets left and right.
"Carlos has a fever. I need to get him a rag so he can put it on his head."
"It sucks that he gets sick after his very first Father's Day." James said.
"I know. He went to bed so happy now he's sick."
"Carlos is sick?!" A voice said from a few feet away.
"Zane, Carlos is sick with a fever. He needs to rest, okay?"
"But how he get sick?"
"I don't know. But I'm gonna take care of him today."
"Can I help? Carlos takes care of me when I sick…" Zane said.
"Okay. Go bring this to Carlos and put this on his head." Logan said giving Zane a wet rag he found.
Zane went up to his parents' bedroom and found Carlos sleeping.
After Zane put the wet rag on Carlos' forehead, Carlos asked "Logan?"
"No, it's me."
"Zane?"
"Yes?"
"Why are you taking care of me? You could get sick." Carlos said with concern.
"Because you take care of me when I sick. And you're my other daddy." Zane said.
Carlos couldn't help but smile at why Zane was trying to take care of him.
Later in the day, Carlos went to go make himself some tea, and found Zane sleeping on the couch with Stitch sleeping on his back.
When Kendall got home, he was still excited from his promotion.
"Hey Guys! Gue-"
"Shh! You'll wake up Zane." Carlos said drinking his tea.
"Sorry. Why are you drinking tea? You're not sick, are you?"
"I am."
"Oh no. I am not getting sick right after I just promoted" Kendall said backing away.
"Gee, thanks buddy" Carlos said fake offeneded.
"Hey, do you know where our boyfriends are?"
"buying me more medicine just in case."
Just then, Zanne woke up and went straight for Kendall.
"Uncle Kendall, you're here!"
"Hey Zane, I heard Carlos is sick."
"Uh-huh. I help take care of him today."
"You did?"
"Yeah."
"Good job, Zane. Carlos is feeling better cause of you."
"You no sick no more?"
"I still am. But just a little bit. Don't worry okay?"
"Okay, Carlos."
Just then, Logan and James came home.
"Hey guys. Congratulations Kendall."
"Thanks."
"Zane, is Carlos getting better?" Logan asked his son.
"Yeah he is!"
"All cause of him" Carlos said.
"Good job, Zane."
Later that night, after Carlos took his last dosage of medicine for the day, he joined Logan in bed.
About one hour later, there was a knock at the bedroom door.
"Yes?" Logan opened the door to his son.
"Daddy, I can't sleep. There's loud noises outside."
Logan noted that it was a windy night and that some of the windows were being hit hard.
"Logan, what is it?" Carlos said yawning.
"Zane can't sleep cause of the wind."
"Aww."
"Did you wanna sleep with us here? Logan asked.
"Can I?" Zane replied.
"Of course." Carlos said.
"After Zane climbed in, Carlos told Zane "Zane guess what?"
"What?"
"I'm not sick anymore."
"Really?"
"Really. It's because you helped me get better. Thank you, Zane."
"You're welcome, Carlos."
"Now let's get some sleep" Logan said.
"Good night daddies." Zane said after closing his eyes.
"Good night." Both of his fathers replied.
A/N: Yea, I know this didn't really focus on Kendall like I said it would, but at least something good happened to him.
