Five Years Later
Part 36
While everything was going on at the loft, Blaine and Sebastian were still sound asleep in bed as the sun was coming up when they'd finally called it a night. So when they woke around noon, it wasn't much of a surprise that they were both hungry. So after putting some clothes on, they headed for the kitchen to see what was going to be quick. "When do you want me to take those pictures B?" Sebastian asked as he pulled leftovers out of the fridge.
"You don't have to Bas." Blaine replied as he grabbed plates.
"I want to as I want you to be comfortable."
"How about later today after I shower?"
"Done." Sebastian said as he set everything on the counter. "And while we're going to talk about what I brought up well…this morning. There is something else I feel you need to know." When Blaine looked at him, Sebastian could see the concern in his eyes. "Don't look at me like that."
"How else do you expect me to look when you say something like that?" Blaine told him as they began to make up their plates with the leftovers. "Need to know or we should talk can often be bad."
"This is only bad in that it's…something you should've known sooner."
"Bas, just blurt it out."
"Fine, after mine and Hunter's talk after you opened up to me, things didn't feel right to him." When Blaine looked at him, Sebastian slid his arm around him. "Hunter doesn't know what it was, but he might be clued in after the way we both reacted last night."
"Alright then, what did Hunter do?"
"He hired someone to investigate Kurt during the time the two of you were married."
"And?"
"He was cheating on you Blaine." Once he spoke, Blaine's eyes widened slightly at the information. "Yea, while he was busy accusing you of cheating he was having an affair with someone at his office."
"How do you know this?" Blaine asked as he looked up at him, not as thrown as Sebastian initially expected.
"The person he was with posted a ton of photos to his social media sites. The investigator gave Hunter copies of pictures of the two and messages between them. Kurt was basically living an entire life apart from you. And from the dates on the pictures, it coincides with everything you ever told me about when your marriage really began to fall apart."
"So, he was playing me and trying to make me feel guilty while he was off having an affair."
"Essentially. If you want, all the information is in my office so you can look at it if you want."
"I don't want to." Blaine replied as he wrapped his arms around Sebastian. "He not only accused me of doing something I wasn't doing as he was doing it. But he also tried to destroy any chance of me achieving my dreams by chipping away at my confidence."
"Yet you got out before he could completely." Sebastian told him before pressing a kiss to Blaine's forehead. "You took this better than I imagined."
"How long have you known?"
"I got the envelope just before Christmas, but I only truly read everything a couple of days ago. Since then, I've tried to figure out how to tell you as I felt you deserve to know."
"Thank you."
"Don't thank me, thank Hunter. As he put it, if Kurt was so sure you were cheating, he would've left instead of constantly harping on you. So, he realized that just maybe Kurt was the one cheating and that was the case."
"I'll be sure to thank him next time I see him. And while I said I don't want to see the stuff, was the guy good looking?"
"Not really, but the pictures and messages certainly painted Hummel in a different light considering things he said to you as well as Rachel."
"With what you just told me, I'm not surprised."
"Are you sure you're okay Blaine?"
"Yes as this really change anything aside prove what a freaking liar he was. And I'll tell you something Sebastian, I'm happier now than I've ever been and that's because of you." Blaine then moved up on his tiptoes and kissed Sebastian. "I love you."
"And I love you. Know, I'm happier now than I ever thought was possible." Blaine smiled up at him in a way that warmed Sebastian's heart. Then it wasn't long till they began to kiss again as in that moment, it felt right. By the time the kiss broke, they went back to getting something to eat as they knew they couldn't function much longer with how they felt.
Once they were finished though, they cleaned up before going to get cleaned up themselves. During their shower, Sebastian laughed when a muffled groan escape Blaine's lips when he pressed him up against the wall. "That's not funny Bas."
"I didn't laugh because it was funny; I laughed because it was cute."
"Cute?"
"Yes. And while you don't like the word, it fits you quite often. Even in this situation."
"Are you saying you enjoy shower sex with me?"
"I love shower sex with you B. Just as I love how you're not shy about instigating it." Sebastian replied as he began to move.
"Why would I be?" Blaine said as he leaned his head back. "We're equal, right?"
"Absolutely." Sebastian told him before he leaned in and they began to kiss. By the time they finally got out of the shower, they were both smiling. Once they were back in the bedroom, Sebastian looked at Blaine who was standing beside him in only a towel. "Put on something you want to be photographed in Killer."
"Bas."
"I'm serious B." Sebastian said as he opened the drawer to grab a pair of boxers. "Though, make sure you wear something that will compliment your new guitar as I want it in a few of the shots." When Blaine looked at him, Sebastian smiled. "I'm serious."
"Done." Blaine said as he pulled out a pair of boxer briefs from the drawer. Once he had them on, he stood in front of his section of closet trying to figure out what he was going to wear. When he was still standing there while Sebastian was already dressed, Sebastian came up behind him. "Help me." Blaine said softly as he glanced back at him. Sebastian nodded before making his way around Blaine. While Blaine had a nice selection to choose from, Sebastian kept it simple. He grabbed a pair of dark washed jeans he absolutely loved the way they fit Blaine. Then a dark gray t-shirt along with a white and blue plaid button up. "Thanks."
"You're welcome. Now get changed while I go and get ready." Sebastian then leaned over to give Blaine a kiss before heading for the living room. After gathering his gear from the office, Sebastian went about getting set up which included grabbing a chair from the other side of the room for Blaine to sit in. He was just setting up his tripod when Blaine came walking out into the living room ready to go. "You look incredible Killer." Sebastian said as he took in the sight before him. Happily surprised that Blaine didn't button the shirt up so you could see the snug t-shirt beneath. And he'd done his hair in a way where his curls were clearly visible, yet tamed. "Why don't you grab one of your guitars so we can get started?"
"I thought you wanted me to use my new one."
"I want a few with it but also one of your acoustics since you use them both." Blaine nodded before going to grab his acoustic from the rack to start with. "How do you want me?"
"Get comfortable and we'll go from there." Sebastian told him and soon Blaine took a seat in the chair. Since Sebastian was still finishing up, he began to play while he waited. This was precisely what Sebastian was hoping would happen. While Blaine was clearly relaxed since they'd had sex, he took that to a new level once he began to play. And as he did, Sebastian began to snap away. It wasn't till he was kneeling before him, did Blaine look at him. "Continue."
"How long have you been shooting?"
"Long enough." Sebastian then leaned in to give him a kiss. "Ready to pose for me Killer?"
"Yes."
While they clearly got off to a rough start as Sebastian could see what Blaine meant about smiles looking forced. And nothing like the smiles that were on Blaine's face in the photos they took together or the ones he took while he was playing. "Instead of forcing a smile on your face B, think of something that makes you happy so it comes to you naturally."
"Okay." Blaine then put his guitar on the floor between his feet before leaning it against him leg. The way he relaxed, Sebastian smiled. Then once a smile crept to his face, Sebastian began shooting once more. "Is that better Bas?"
"Much. Now switch out guitars." Since the chair was near the rack, it didn't take Blaine long till he was situated once more. And once he was, Sebastian began to shoot again. Yet a couple of times, Sebastian had to tell him to think of things a little more PG as his smiled had taken a sexy turn. But in the shots he had it; it gave Blaine a completely different look than that of the bashful school boy most knew. By the time they finished, Blaine set his guitar in the rack before joining Sebastian on the couch as he was hooking his camera up to his laptop.
"How do they look?" Blaine asked once he was beside him. "Do I look like a complete dork?"
"Only in the ones where you were forcing a smile on your face." When Blaine looked at him, a look of disbelief on his face, Sebastian slid his arm around him. "Look at them yourself B, you look great!" Blaine nodded. While he might believe Sebastian was being nice, he knew he wouldn't lie to him. So, he soon began to page through all the shots Sebastian took which were more than he could believe. Multiple times he glanced at Sebastian with given shots and noticed the smile on Sebastian's face. "What do you think Killer?"
"You're extremely talented Bas."
"Thank you, but what do you think of the pictures. And I want the truth."
"You're right; they're good, really good actually. Thank you. What were you talking about when you told me to keep my thoughts PG?" Sebastian then leaned forward and forward a bit till he found one of his favorite shots. When he stopped, Blaine looked at him. "Oh."
"I love it, personally as I can only hope you were thinking about us. But I don't think that's the look you're going to want to be going for. Just know that picture is going on the nightstand."
"You're right, it's not." Blaine then placed his hand on Sebastian's thigh. "I was thinking of us, most exactly, the two of us once we got home this morning."
"Then that smile makes perfect sense." Sebastian replied as Blaine leaned against him. "The camera really does love you Killer."
"Are you sure it's not the person behind it?"
"Both." Sebastian replied before turning to kiss his forehead. "How'd you feel?"
"Good. Hopefully I'll be just as relaxed when we do our shoot." Once Blaine finished, they began to look through the rest of the pictures Sebastian had taken. There was no doubt from the different angles and such Sebastian truly had an eye for it aside from shooting buildings and landscapes. "Do you mind if I ask you something Bas?"
"Ask away."
"With as much as you love taking pictures, why did you go to law school and not become a photographer?"
"Ah, the million dollar question." Sebastian replied. "I thought about it, but quickly realized that I couldn't necessarily have the life style I've grown accustomed to being a photographer. Mind you, my trust fund is rather ridiculous, but I don't want to live off of it."
"That must've made your parents happy."
"While they are thrilled with my choice, they know well enough the only way I'd be successful was if I was doing something I wanted to do." Blaine looked up at him and smiled as he loved when Sebastian opened up about little parts of him. "So now, I tend to travel quite a bit to feed my photography bug." When Blaine looked away, Sebastian reached over with his other arm and pulled Blaine onto his lap. "Blaine, if I wanted to go away for break, I would have gone. You should know well enough by now that no one makes me do things I don't want to do." Blaine just looked at him. "Blaine, don't. Maybe before things get crazy for you after graduation we can get away for a trip together. Just beware as I tend to tour whatever area I'm in."
"I'd like to do that." Blaine told him before wrapping his arms around him. "See you in a completely new environment."
"Then we'll have to see what we can do. And maybe, just maybe I'll bring my camera to your next show and got some shots of Blaine Anderson, the performer, versus the ones I have of Blaine Anderson, my boyfriend."
"Am I really that different on stage Bas?"
"Yes. When you're on…" Before he could continue, his phone went off which was on the table. Blaine reached over to grab it for him and laughed when he saw it was Nick. After answering, it wasn't long till Sebastian began to laugh which caused Blaine to cock an eyebrow. With as hard as he was laughing, Sebastian asked Nick if it was alright if he put him on speaker as he wasn't sure if he could relay everything to Blaine with a straight face. Once he was on speaker, it wasn't long till Blaine began to laugh as well as he couldn't believe Kurt didn't believe Santana when she said Rachel wasn't there. Then his face upon seeing the guys as well as Jordan was another story.
"How'd he react to what Santana implied?" Blaine asked as Sebastian wiped the tears off his cheeks from how hard he'd been laughing. "That doesn't surprise me at all. And with what I know of Jordan, she encouraged Santana to keep going." When Nick laughed Blaine smiled as it proved what a pair the two were. Then when Blaine asked if the three discouraged her words, Nick scoffed. "Does Rachel know this all happened?" Nick replied in the affirmative then added that Rachel and Sam were actually back at the loft. With that information given, they all decided to start getting in touch with the others so they could make the most of their remaining time together.
After ending the call, Blaine leaned in to kiss Sebastian. "Are you sure you want to go as you don't look thrilled about it?"
"I'm fine as I know I can't keep you all to myself no matter how much I want to with everyone in town." Sebastian then caressed Blaine's cheek. "I'm greedy like that."
"I don't mind." Blaine told him. "You can be as greedy as you want when we come back."
"Do you mean that B?" Blaine nodded in response as a smile crept to his face, one that certainly had a little something behind it. "Then let's get a move on it."
Once they reached the bedroom as Blaine wanted to tweak his outfit a bit so it looked more him, than performer as Sebastian had described. While he did, he caught Sebastian off-guard by bringing up what Sebastian had mentioned earlier that morning. He surprised Sebastian with the information that he'd recently had his check-up and had been given a clean bill of health. When Sebastian smiled, Blaine walked closer to him as he was sitting on the edge of the bed. "You like that bit of news?"
"I do." Sebastian replied. "And so you know, I'd gone just after we'd got together and received the same news. Yet know that even though I brought it up, I don't want you doing it only because I want to try it. I mean…" Sebastian's words were cut off as Blaine took his hands into his.
"I understand Bas, but I do." Blaine then leaned in for another kiss. "And now with the news you gave me, I'm even happier with my results." Sebastian's eyes flew open. "If I hadn't recently gone to the doctor, I probably would've reacted more in the way you expected."
"I hadn't thought of that." Sebastian said softly.
"Why would you, but when I really think about it, I wouldn't have had much to worry about since that part of our life was basically nonexistent. Now let's get going."
By the time they met up with the others, they were surprised to see everyone in attendance as they were the last to arrive. "And here we were beginning to think you two were going to ditch us?" Nick said as he wrapped his arm around Blaine's shoulders.
"We said we were coming, so you should've known we'd be here." Blaine told him as Sebastian went to get them each a beer. "We just couldn't leave right away as I needed to change." When Nick raised an eyebrow at him, Blaine laughed. "Funny smartass. Bas took a few pictures of me to help me get comfortable before our photo shoot." The look that came to Nick's face made Blaine playfully pushed him away from him. "I don't believe you went there."
"This is Sebastian we're talking about Blaine and well, you're certainly more relaxed nowadays."
"Relaxed is different from letting him take nudes of me."
"Nudes?" Talia said as she walked up to him. "What is this about nudes?" Blaine smiled before leaning over to give her a kiss on the cheek.
"Nick's mind went there when I told him Bas took some pictures of me today to help me get more comfortable." Once Blaine spoke, Talia looked at Nick and smiled.
"See, her mind went there too." Nick replied. "And you're mind is there since you knew what I was assuming without saying anything."
"Like you said, this is Bas we're talking about."
"What about me?" Sebastian said as he walked back up to them and handed Blaine his beer.
"That you want to take nudes of Blaine." Talia replied as she had a feeling Nick wouldn't tell him.
"Of course I do, have you seen that body." Sebastian then leaned down and kissed the top of Blaine's head. "But how did we get on the topic of me wanting to shoot nudes of B here?"
"I told Nick we were late because you were taking pictures of me and I wanted to change before we went to meet everyone." When Sebastian looked at Nick, Nick shrugged his shoulders.
"Come on now, it's not that far of a stretch Sebastian." Nick said to him.
"It's not, but you should know that if I was shooting nudes of B here, he wouldn't have told you what we were doing. Also, he wouldn't have had to change; he would've had to get dressed."
"He's got a point there Nick." Talia said before Sebastian tapped his bottle against hers. "While they aren't shy about hiding how they feel for one another, that's a little too much information." Nick soon agreed as that would be pretty forward. "So, how did our boy look lover boy?"
"He looked amazing but that shouldn't come as much of a surprise." While he spoke, Sebastian pulled his phone out of his pocket and handed it to Talia. "Wouldn't you agree?" Talia looked at the picture on Sebastian's lock screen before looking at Blaine.
"This is a great shot of you Blaine." Talia said as she handed the phone back to Sebastian, but it was soon snatched out of his hand by Nick. "I don't know why you were so worried."
"I don't normally look like that." Blaine told her before looking up at Sebastian. "When did you have time to do that?"
"While you were fixing your hair, it doesn't take that long Killer." Sebastian then took another swig of his beer. "What do you think Duval?"
"It's really good. You've got quite the eye Sebastian."
"Thank you, but it's easy when you have such a stunning subject." When Sebastian spoke, it wasn't long after he finished did a blush appear on Blaine's cheeks. "It's true B. Now, what sort of fun did B and I miss out on this morning?" The moment Nick began to laugh, it drew the attention from the others as the laugh wasn't as light-hearted as his earlier one. "That good huh?"
"Yes." Nick told them. "It proved we made the right decision by sending Rachel to Blaine's place last night. I mean, we all know it's going to be combustible when they see one another, but at least he'll have some time to calm down. Hopefully he'll realize she didn't tell him because it's honestly none of his business that the two of you are together."
"Well, he seems more concerned about my life now than he has in quite some time." Blaine said. "I know him and it's going to take him some time to get over the fact that I'm with Bas. Just as it's going to take some time to get over the fact that Rachel, as well as Santana knew we were together, but chose not to tell him."
"Sam knew." Talia added.
"Yes, but Sam and Kurt don't like one another. When I left Kurt, Sam left no doubt where he stood." Blaine then looked around. "Where are Sam and Rachel?"
"Over with Thad, Beat, and David. The guys are trying to teach her how to shoot pool." Nick replied.
"And Santana?"
"Over at the other table with everyone else." Talia told him. "She said she wasn't in the mood to deal with Rachel learning. She's a bit crabby to be honest so the others are trying to cheer her up."
"Why?"
"Jordan got called into work just as they were getting ready to head over here."
"That explains a lot." Sebastian replied, and as he did he noticed Morgan, Justin, and Todd approach them. "Nice that you could all make it."
"Nick, would you mind giving us all a few minutes with Blaine." Morgan said softly and Nick nodded before heading off. Sebastian had just kissed Blaine on the cheek and was about to leave when Todd stopped him.
"You don't need to go Sebastian as this concerns you too." He told him so Sebastian stayed put.
"What can I, or we, do for you?" Blaine asked as Sebastian slid his arm around Blaine's waist.
"We wanted to make sure you guys are okay after everything went down last night." Todd told them. "And while we know we could talk about this with the others around, this more directly concerns us, along with the two of you."
"I'm really sorry about that guys as…" Blaine began but didn't finish as Justin raised his hand while shaking his head. "But…"
"Blaine, you don't have to apologize to us." Justin told him. "It's not your fault he reacted the way he did to seeing you and Sebastian together. You and Sebastian have been together for quite some time, plus before you two were together, you and Kurt were apart for over a year. So if him seeing you with someone else caused him to freak out, that's not on you."
"It's because Blaine's with me." Sebastian said. "If he was with anyone else, Kurt might not have reacted the way he did. So, if you guys want me to stay back, I will." The four of them all looked at each other and then at Sebastian. "It's okay, I get…"
"You and Blaine both need to stop thinking we want the two of you to not be around one another while we're performing." Morgan said. "We love having you around Sebastian, honest. From what Jeff's told me, even if the two of you were only friends, he would've been pissed. So the fact that the first time he saw you two together you were playing tonsil hockey, his reaction makes sense."
"You guys have got to be upset that such a great night got turned upside down." Blaine said.
"It didn't get turned upside down Blaine." Talia told him. "We were all pretty impressed you guys handled yourselves as well as you did. I personally wanted to punch him. We just wanted you to know we've got your back, even when Sebastian is around."
"And for you Sebastian to know, that when you're not, we'll do our best to make sure he doesn't get near Blaine." Justin told him. "After what we saw, he won't get the chance to talk to him that way again or…try to hit him."
"You saw that?" Blaine asked as Sebastian brought him a bit closer.
"It was sort of hard not to, especially when Hunter grabbed his arm mid-swing." Todd replied. "Not to mention, you guys were in the middle of everything."
"Kurt's not going to ruin what you're accomplishing Blaine." Morgan told him.
"We're accomplishing." Blaine corrected.
"While we appreciate that, you're the driving force behind all of this." Justin told him. "We know we're a part of it, but it's all happening because of you." While he spoke, Blaine looked up at Sebastian who was smiling down on him.
"You guys will never know how much I appreciate what you're saying. But…" This time around when Blaine spoke, his words were cut off by a kiss from Sebastian. "Why'd you do that?" Blaine asked once it broke.
"To stop you from rambling." Sebastian said with a smile. "Just accept these guys are going to look out for you, like everyone else. No one wants Kurt to ruin what you've built for yourself since you left him." Blaine looked at him while he spoke before looking at his band who was nodding in agreement with Sebastian.
When Blaine didn't speak, just relaxed against Sebastian it was clear Sebastian's words had gotten through to him. Then it was only a bit longer till they joined the others as some of the guys were going to be leaving the next day. Though, the first last stop they made was with Rachel as they wanted to have a chance to actually talk with her. Once they began to talk, it wasn't too surprising that everyone had checked on her the moment they saw her. From the meeting in the bar to the confrontation afterwards to him showing up at her loft, they all wanted to make sure she was alright.
Blaine and Sebastian each asked numerous questions of her and each time she answered calmly. Rachel is fully aware of the next time she and Kurt came face to face he was going to scream and yell at her. That didn't bother her as she clearly knew she hadn't done anything wrong and he was essentially overreacting. When she pointed out to Blaine that he should know as well as anyone how much Kurt overreacts, when things go in a way he doesn't expect, Blaine only nodded. They even got a good laugh when Sam told them that Rachel did quite the impression of Kurt was they were back at Blaine's apartment. Rachel looked at them both and explained how it was hard not to considering how over the top he was with his reaction. But before they went to have some fun, she promised them both should he become a problem, that she'd let them know.
