Ok, we're here. This is what we've all been waiting for: unadulterated HOLIX. I hope this is what you were expecting. I had several different possible conversations and scenarios going on. I tried to remain true to the characters and the show but it's possible they could be occ. I'm a little biased. So thank you X, MoonGirl1155, spektor, and guest for you last comments. I really liked writing that last episode... it made me hungry, LOL.
Hope you like this and thanks for reading.
I still don't own.
"A Family Holiday"
"Are you ready, Hol... Rebecca?"
"Yes, thanks for waiting. I didn't want to go in my work outfit."
"No problem."
"…Well?"
"Well what?"
"Oh... nothing then."
"Rebecca, that usual means something."
"No, it's okay. It doesn't matter. So where are we going?"
"Anything in particular you're in the mood for?"
"Not really. I'm more here for the company."
...
"You're cute when you blush."
"I'm not cute."
"Sorry, I meant handsome."
"Holiday..."
"Holiday? What happened to Rebecca?"
"That's when you're not being a pain."
"Ha ha, I'm sorry. I'm just in a strange mood. My sister's cured. I have her back. And now I'm going out with you. It's all surreal."
"Well, I can assure you it's all very real."
"Thanks Six. If it wasn't for you and Rex..."
"It's okay."
"No, it's not. I was a real jerk to you both and you guys still..."
"Hol.. Rebecca, you were not being a jerk. You have every right to seek a cure for your sister. I just wished you didn't have to go through all that. If I ever get my hands on Moses..."
"I'm sure they'll find him soon. There are only so many places he can hide. They've frozen his back accounts, confiscated his buildings, and seized his assets. He's going to need money and right now he has none."
"Don't be so sure. You never know what secret off shore accounts he may have had."
"I suppose you would know about things like that."
"There are many things I know that good people shouldn't."
"You say things like that but I know whatever you were in the past you're not like that now."
...
"So we're taking your car?"
"Of course."
"Just checking… Oh, thank you."
"Just opening the door for you, you don't have to look so surprised. I do have manners."
"I know Six. This is just going to take some getting use to."
"Because I'm being polite?"
"No, because we're out on a date."
"About time?"
"Yes, it's about time. Honestly, I had given up."
"Oh? Were you waiting? "
"Well, I mean um, I… I… I ... I don't know. I guess I was maybe hoping that you might... think of me more as a friend than co worker. Stop smirking."
"I wasn't smirking. I do think of you as a friend. You're probably the closest thing I have to one... other than White."
"Really you think of White as a friend?"
"More like was... but he seems...more forgiving as of late."
"So… I'm only a friend?"
"No, not only a friend..."
"Then what?"
"Ahem, well, I did ask you out on a date."
"With some prompting from Rex..."
"How did you know?"
"Rex needs to work on his 'indoor voice'."
"The kid was never subtle."
"Ha, no. But he better take care of Beverly. She hasn't been out in the real world in three years."
"I'm sure they're fine."
"I know. Rex is a good kid."
"How much money did you give them?"
"Ummm, I think maybe $100?"
"That should buy them enough junk food to last them a week."
"Well, I told Beverly to buy a few things. She's not going to fit her old clothes."
"Then they might not have enough."
"I know clothes are expensive but she just needs a few things until I can finish the tests. Then she's going back home. My parents are out of their minds with excitement."
"I can imagine."
"Yes, and it's all thanks to you... and Rex. My parents are so grateful. We really owe you everything."
"You were the one who figured out how to reverse Moses's machine."
"But if it wasn't for you, I would never have found Beverly again after my stupid mistake..."
"Stop being so hard on yourself. No one's perfect and as far as I'm concerned you were acting in the best interest of your sister."
"You did warn me. And I didn't listen."
"It's okay."
"No, its not, Six. Remember I once told you that I have to remember, so that I don't make the same mistake again? Well, I never want to make that one."
"So the bottom line is... I'm always right?"
"Ha, more like... you always have my best interest in mind."
...
"...Oh, where are we?"
"You didn't say what you wanted, so I picked."
"That's fine. I don't think I've ever been here, before."
"I thought we'd go somewhere different than the cafeteria or Bobo's cooking."
"Wow, fancy. I'm glad I changed. I almost feel under dressed."
"You look fine."
"See that's what I was waiting for."
"What?"
"For you to say something about my dress."
"I thought it would be obvious what I thought."
"Six, nothing about you is obvious."
"You look nice…. A table for two please."
"Thank you. You look nice too. But I guess you always do."
...
"There, there's that blush again!"
"You're seeing things."
"Like fun I am! Is it so hard to admit you have emotions?"
...
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to nag."
"No, you're not nagging. I don't like opening up."
"I know and I shouldn't make you…. Oh, I'll just have the chicken salad, Thank you."
"The porterhouse rare and a bottle of 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon… As much as I appreciate that, I think that would make it difficult to sustain a relationship."
...
"What's wrong?"
"I'm sorry I thought you said 'sustain a relationship'."
"I did."
"You mean this isn't a one time thing?"
"... Only if you want it to be."
"No...I mean I want you... I mean I want to try to have a long term relationship."
"Well, I'm not looking for a fling."
"Neither am I... boy, this is getting awkward."
"It's not that easy for me either."
"I know and I really appreciate it. But I have to ask... why now?"
"Why now, what?"
"We've been working together for how long now and you never once have given me any indication that you're interested... why now? What changed?"
...
"I guess that's too personal too quickly."
"No, you have a right to know... Rebecca, I... wasn't looking for a relationship. I didn't think someone like you would, should be with someone like me. But when you were in trouble... I couldn't turn away."
"Six..."
"I had to help. Whatever it took, I had to help."
…
"… And… if I was willing to give up everything for you, what was I afraid of?"
"Six, you shouldn't have risked your life for..."
"I know, but I wanted to see you happy."
"I...I don't know what to say."
"You don't have to say anything."
"Six, I… I'd like to try to make us work. We work well together, we practically raised Rex together, and I think we care about each other. I… I know I like being with you… even if you are antisocial."
"I'm willing if you are."
"I am."
"Then I guess we have a few more nights like these."
"Really? I don't think White would approve of date night every night."
"He doesn't have to know."
"What? Sneak out like teenagers?"
"Why not? If Rex can do it, how hard can it be for a couple of intelligent, highly trained adults?"
"Ha, then to date night, every night."
"To date night... and new beginnings."
