The Lonesome Road - Chapter 35

Weiss turned back towards the sink.

"Hey, Weiss…"

The Heiress' eyes locked with her partner's.

"I'm really glad you're feeling better."

Weiss smiled back to her. Warmth filled her heart at Ruby's eager grin. "Thank you."

The caped-girl turned back to the dorm room to change for the day. Weiss gave herself one more glance in the mirror.

"Remember: licking doorknobs is illegal on other planets." Winter advised with a raised finger.

"Is that supposed to be a life lesson?"

The young Weiss realized what she must have meant. Some things would always seem weird to others, maybe even otherworldly, but that doesn't make it wrong.

Winter would love her no matter what.

"I think I get it." Weiss mumbled as she explained the meaning.

Winter shrugged. "Actually, I have no idea why I said that. I guess not everything I say is useful."

Weiss watched her sister whistle and walk out of the room. Weiss stood in stunned stillness for a few moments as she processed what just happened.

The Heiress burst out laughing.

"She was a little nuts sometimes, too. I guess it runs in the family." Weiss smirked somberly at the memory. "...I miss the hell out of her."

The Heiress shivered at the stale morning taste in her mouth. She quickly grabbed her toothbrush off the sink counter.

The toothpaste was nowhere to be found. Weiss opened the cupboard below the sink.

"Hey, Penny."

"Salutations!" The cheery animatronic replied, curled up on her back inside of the cupboard.

"Can you hand me the toothpaste?"

"Certainly!" Penny answered. She reached to her side and pulled out the toothpaste.

"Thanks." Weiss replied, closing the door.

Weiss began to brush her teeth. She scrubbed back and forth, making sure to get everyone over her teeth. She brushed her molars-

"No, wait...what?" Weiss mumbled in slow realization as she stopped her brushing. She spat out her toothpaste, kneeled down and reopened the cupboard.

"Penny?"

"Yes?"

"Are you in the cupboard?" Weiss asked for confirmation.

"Yes, ma'am."

"Get the fuck out of the cupboard."

"Okay..." Penny mumbled, slumping her shoulders in defeat.

The Blonde's eyes creaked open. She turned to her bedside alarm.

"Just in time." She thought as her hand stopped the alarm early. She relaxed once again, enjoying the slow awakening her early rise had earned.

Yang let out a content sigh as the Faunus snuggled closer to her. She could feel the perfect amount of warm sunlight shining through the window. Though Weiss and Ruby were up and moving, a peaceful quiet overtook the dorm.

"Waking up to peace." Yang declared in a smiling mumble. "I have to say: nothing is better than this."

"Oh really?" Blake cooed, rubbing her hands against Yang's inner thigh. "How about this then?"

"About what?" Yang asked ignorantly.

"About this." Blake emphasized as she slowly ran her hands up to the warm space between Yang's thighs.

"About what?" Yang asked once more. Her eyes picked up on Blake's arm beneath the sheets. "Are...are you supposed to be touching me?"

"...Am I not?" The Faunus whispered slowly. Yang shook her head.

Blake's eyebrows rose. Together, the couple pulled back the sheets.

A pair of pink and black eyes greeted them.

'You're getting a little too touchy there, kitty cat.' Neo's eyes scowled as the top of her head popped out under the sheets. 'Anymore and I might have to pay you.'

"FUCK!" Yang exclaimed, doubling back and tumbling off the bedside in a tangle of sheets.

Neo grinned at her from over the bed's edge. 'You're really warm and Blake's really soft. More people should sleep with you two.'

"Yang, what's wrong wha-atdafuck!" Ruby shouted in shock.

Neo's hands waved frantically in defense. 'Calm down, I can explain-'

"I t-touched..." Blake managed as she stared at her hand in shock.

'Just barely. It's no big deal. Don't get ahead of yourself.'

Blake scowled.

Stretching her shoulders, Weiss walked out of the bathroom with Penny quickly following behind. The Heiress greeted Neo unflinchingly. "Hey, Neo."

The acrobat rolled up her own middle finger with an invisible crank. Yang and Blake sneered. Ruby's eyebrow raised in confusion. Penny remained her content self.

Weiss smirked.

"It's good to see you, too."
