"Wake up, Vivi."
Her eyes popped open at the sound of the horribly familiar voice, only to be greeted by a high powered light. She quickly shut her eyes again and turned her head away, but when she reopened them, she couldn't see.
Crocodile waved his hand in front of her face to be sure she was blind.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Did that blind you?" he apologised sarcastically. "I won't be long. I'm just going to take something and leave."
He lifted her shirt, causing her to slap his hand and scramble away. When she did this, the back of her head hit something. She reached back behind her and felt the object.
The night stand...
Before she could try to come up with a plan, her thoughts were interrupted by something wet brushing against her cheek.
"You taste a lot sweeter than I remember," he chuckled, pushing her back down so that she was laying on her back. "Before we get down to business, I suppose we could have a little fun."
He leaned down, lifting her shirt, and bit down on her left side.
Vivi punched him in the head, which only served to make him bite her harder. She gasped and tried to push him off. While she was struggling, her arm brushed against something...the bed? Zoro!
Obviously, she needed help, but if she woke Zoro up he'd become a target
Crocodile removed her shirt and moved to bite her shoulder. Vivi kicked at him, but apparently he wasn't in any position to be kicked by her. She grabbed what she thought was his arm and raked her nails across it. There was something weird at the end, though.
Is that...a sock?
"Hey..." Zoro yawned, slowly opening his eyes. "Wha's goin' on? Who scratched me?"
Vivi hastily let go.
Oh, no...I scratched Zoro...How did I not notice the bed under my arm?
Crocodile started to let go, but Vivi punched him a few times to keep his attention away from Zoro. He bit her a lot harder than before. Vivi ground her teeth together as blood ran out from under his teeth.
Meanwhile, Zoro blinked the sleep from his eyes. He must have been staring for a minute before he realise what was happening. He stood from the couch and ripped Crocodile off of Vivi.
"I was trying to sleep," he grumbled angrily, slamming him face first into the ground.
Crocodile recovered quickly, punching Zoro in the balls.
"Then just go back to bed," he growled.
Zoro yelled, falling to his knees in pain.
Vivi heard him and assumed the worst. She reached out and touched him.
He should be okay for a while...I hope...
Crocodile pushed her back down and bit her neck until he drew blood.
"The one thing I regret," he whispered, putting his knee on the middle of her right femur, "about muting you…"
He grabbed her hip with his right hand, using his left arm to wrap around her shoulders.
"I'll never get to hear you scream again."
There was an unrealistically loud cracking sound followed by pain.
So much pain.
Vivi opened her mouth in a sort of silent scream before trying to pull herself away.
Crocodile pinned her down by her throat and took out a knife. Without allowing her the time to react, he cut into her side, broke a rib, and pulled it out. She was briefly distracted from the pain in her leg, disoriented from it as well. Crocodile took advantage of her mental state and jammed the knife into Zoro's shoulder before leaving.
Zoro made another pained sound, blinking away the stinging in his eyes before turning to see Vivi. Thoughtlessly, he ripped the blade out of his shoulder.
"Oh, my god," he managed before reaching for the hotel's phone.
Zoro, after getting ahold of the 911 operator, restrained himself from yelling into the phone. He was quick to hang up after barking out the address and brought himself back to Vivi's side.
"God, Vivi, I'm so sorry."
He must have apologised thousands of times, stroking her hair because it was the most comfort he could offer her until help arrived.
Vivi, scarcely clinging to consciousness, felt around until she found Zoro's hand and followed his arm as far up as she could before blindly feeling around for more injuries. Realising he could be hurt somewhere she couldn't reach, she tried to sit up. In the process, of course, her shattered femur moved ever so slightly.
The girl yelped silently as she felt the ragged edges of both halves of her femur rub against one another. After that, she couldn't force herself to stay awake any longer.
