It's been so long since the last time I've driven a car. At least this isn't something anyone can easily forget. Like riding a bike… But I guess in my case, it's a skill that's been programmed. I suppose that's the best way to put it.

Gripping the wheel tightly, I glance over to my right where Alice sat in the front seat. She absolutely insisted that she sit there. Which, not that I cared much, didn't sit too well with me. She barely weighs 80 pounds. Heh… It'd sure be a shame if I had to stop short. Her small body would fly through the window, leaving me alone to continue our mission. I fucking hate kids.

Thankfully she wasn't causing me too much of a headache. If we can even get those. She sat quietly, looking out the window, playing with the ruffles in her blood-spattered pastel blue dress. I know she's not actually a child… but she sure is convincing. I just wish she wouldn't insist on being called a princess all the time. That, and calling me her white knight? As if. I bite my lip, harder than I meant to. Shit… I guess the both of us have our weird ticks and vices that we just can't get over. Being lab creations and all. I guess I'll let it slide for now.

We've been driving for hours. Somehow, Patient Ten had managed to distance himself greatly from his friends at the Rabbit Hole the morning he betrayed them. Even though he wasn't smart enough to still be alive, he was smart enough to divert the attention to the rest of them before leaving. Pity he died so quickly…

"Are we there yet?"

"Shut. UP."

Without even pausing to think those words left my mouth. Great. Here comes the speech. We hadn't been together for that long, but I felt like I knew Alice more than she knew herself. She probably feels the same.

"Tsk. Tsk. I just said one sentence. You should relax. I followed your 'no talking' rule so far, now didn't I?" Her small yellow eyes bore into me as she glared and folded her arms.

"Yeah. I guess you did."

"You don't talk much do you? That's odd. Seeing as your actual real human counterpart can't seem to shut up! I guess we're not carbon copies after all!" Her last statement dripping with sarcasm, she knocked a small fist on the chest piece Patient Seven gave me before we left.

"Well I certainly can't find any difference between you and Patient Twelve. Short temper and annoying voice all packed into one. Also… your inability to think rationally and without seething rage is pretty spot on as well."

At this she giggled. The sound was like nails on a chalkboard to me. I couldn't help but grip the wheel tighter and hold my breath. I fucking hate children.

"That's where you're wrong. Because when we are done here, and Patient Two and Patient Twelve are laying in a pool of their own blood… WE will be the only ones who matter. There won't be anyone else to compare us to. We will finally be US." Alice said this while twirling a knife that she had summoned during her speech. I guess she has a point… but then again… what's the point?

"Who cares if we will be the only ones? It doesn't matter. The only thing that matters, is making sure they get eliminated…" I reply without taking my eyes off the road.

She snorts at this and tosses her knife into the air, letting it disappear. At this, her mouth falls closed as she continues to look out the window in silence. Good.

Too bad our journey is at its end. I pull haphazardly into the cracked asphalt parking lot of what's left of the Rabbit Hole. It's a lot dingier than I had imagined. And that's what's so surprising to me. Somehow, it managed to exceed my expectations. Lines and lines of police cars still with their lights on are parked just as haphazardly as I am. By now they should have known we would arrive. Hopefully. I've had a few problems with the authorities already with the way I look. But honestly, I look quite a bit different from him.

Practically kicking the door open I step out of the car. I could hardly wait to get out of there. Walking around to the passenger door, I open it for Alice, and she politely jumps out, brushing her dress off as her small feet hit the ground. She looks up and folds her arms, a scowl is painted on her face. I knew exactly what she was looking at.

It didn't take long for the cops to surround us, nervously sweating with guns at the ready. Tilting my head to the side, I roll my eyes and make no effort to surrender.

"He's back! Chief we found him!" One of the officers spits into his radio as fast as he could without taking his sights from me.

The smell of electricity hits me before I can say anything. There she goes. Her temper flaring up again.

"How stupid are you?!" Alice's body was crackling with lightning as she pushed her way through the wall of police officers. "We're with the OSI. If you're smart enough to know what that means, then you'll stay out of our way."

They all jump back, scrambling for their radios or to look like they weren't all just about to shoot me. Letting out a deep sigh, I follow Alice and shake my head. She's far ahead now, entering the broken door of the Rabbit Hole.

Smoothing back my hair, I grab the officer who was stupid enough to mistake me for the fugitive by his vest and lift him in the air with one arm, pulling his face close to mine. Staring into his eyes which started to tear up, I seethed. "You won't be making that mistake again… RIGHT?"

"S-Sir yes sir…"

Squinting my eyes angrily at him, I snarl a quick, "Good." And proceed to drop him on the ground. He scrambles to return to his feet and straighten his back as he salutes.

I think that's the most obvious difference between me and Patient Two. I can actually command. He was a pathetic Colonel.

Picking up my pace, I hurry to join Alice. Things are finally starting to get interesting. I can't wait until we find their trail.

Crouched on the ground, Alice wipes some blood from the wall and places her small finger in her mouth. She sucks it clean and turns to me smiling.

"What?"

Trying my best to ignore what she just did, I pick up a shred of someone's clothing, and crumple it in my fist.

"You were right about what you said before. I'm ready to be ME. Me… and nobody else." I could practically feel my eyes flash a bright yellow as I said those words. Tossing the scrap of cloth forcefully to the ground, I smile wickedly.

Alice cackled in agreement before zapping her entire body over my shoulders. As her body became solid once more, her feet tucked themselves behind my back and she pulled my hair and pointed forward, as if leading a dog.

"Then let's go break them into pieces!"
