Note: *groaning* Oh, where am I? What on Earth just happened? *shakes head* Hey, I remember now! We're up to chapter 36! Oh, man! I'm down to the wire now! So, we're almost done with this story and we're getting closer and closer to the finish line! I can see it now, waiting for me! There will be four more chapters left until the story is finally complete. (Hopefully, I can make it.) Alright, enough with the chitchat. This chapter will be about Bart, Lisa, Milhouse, Martin, Janey and Mary dancing on the dance floor and they will sing, "Best Years of Our Lives" by the Baha Men. Hope you enjoy this chapter! Chapter 36

Let's Do Some Dancing!

"What do you think Bart's gonna do?" asked Janey.

Then, Bart went over to Mary and Milhouse and began talking to them.

"Who's that girl?" asked Sherri.

"Is that his girlfriend?" asked Terri.

"That's Mary Spuckler." I said to Sherri and Terri. "One of Cletus' children."

"Come on, you guys!" begged Bart. "It'll be great!"

"Is it a trick?" Milhouse said, as he tightened his fist.

"No, no. You'll have to see." said Bart. Then, he grabbed Milhouse and Mary. "Now let's go!"

"Whoa! Easy there!" cried Mary.

Bart ran over to me, Martin, Nelson, Sherri and Terri and Janey.

"Martin, Janey, Lisa, you're needed on the dance floor."

"Huh? Why?" I said curiously.

"You'll see when you get on the dance floor." said Milhouse.

"Alright. But it better not be one of your dumb tricks again." said Martin seriously.

"Well then, let's do some dancing!" Bart said, as he dragged me, Janey and Martin on the dance floor.

"I hope you get a wedgie while dancing!" teased Nelson.

"Alright everybody, this is your DJ speaking." we heard the DJ announce.

"Hey, what the hell is going on here now?!" yelled Homer madly.

"We have song requested by Bart Simpson and he will be performing it with his friends, so sit back, relax and enjoy the dance." the DJ announced.

"What?! Bart Simpson has his own dance?! This is outrageous!" shouted Homer. "This is supposed to be Luann and Kirk's wedding party!"

"Guys, get ready to do some dancing and singing because the DJ is gonna play us our song." said Bart happily.

Then, he looked at the DJ and yelled, "Hit it!"

"You got it!" said the DJ, as he started to play the music.

"Hey, I like this song." I said, as I started to dance.

"Was this your idea, Bart?" asked Mary, as she started to dance.

"Yeah. This is also dedicated to my best friend, Milhouse." answered Bart, as he started to dance too.

"Thanks, Bart!" said Milhouse happily, as he started to dance too. "You rock!"

"I get such a thrill when you look in my eyes. My heart skips a beat, girl, I feel so alive. Please tell me, baby, if all this is true 'cause deep down inside, all I wanted as you." sung Bart happily, as he danced.

"Ohhhh, makes me wanna dance. Ohhhh, it's a new romance. Ohhhh, I look into your eyes. Ohhhh, best years of our lives!" we sung happily, as we danced and spun around with each other.

"When we first met, I could hardly believe the things that would happen that we could achieve. So, let's be together for all of our time. We'll go out so thankful that you are still mine." Bart sung, as he continued dancing.

"Ohhhh, makes me wanna dance. Ohhhh, it's a new romance. Ohhhh, I look into your eyes. Ohhhh, best years of our lives!" we sung as we kept dancing and spinning around with each other.

"Marge, look!" cried Homer, as he pointed at us singing and dancing.

"Wow, would you look at that, Homer!" exclaimed Marge. "The kids are having a great time!"

Everyone looked at us dancing and singing.

"Go, guys, go!" cheered Chuck.

"That's my grandkids." said Grandpa happily.

"Take it away from here, Martin!" shouted Bart happily.

"My world's a better place 'cause I know you're mine. This love is so real and it's no surprise." sung Martin, as he danced.

"Come on and say, 'Yeah'!" Bart sung.

"I got a song…" Martin sung.

"Yeah!" we sung loudly.

"'Cause through the years, I'll be right by your side." Martin sung.

"Ohhhh, makes me wanna dance. Ohhhh, it's a new romance. Ohhhh, I look into your eyes. Ohhhh, best years of our lives!" we sung.

"See, you always consider me like an ogre, nothing and treat me like a Notre Dame I says why I helped you keep my shine on. A perky little something to keep my mind on 'cause you had my mind gone." Milhouse sung quickly, as he danced. "Aa-aa, aa-aa, aa-aa, turn on the lights on. Come on, baby, let's just rewind the song. 'Cause all I want to do is make the rest years the best years all night long!"

"Whew!" sighed Milhouse, as he wiped his forehead.

"Ohhhh, makes me wanna dance. Ohhhh, it's a new romance." Mary, Janey and I sung.

"Ohhhh, I look into your eyes. Ohhhh, best years of our lives!" Bart, Martin and Milhouse sung.

"One more time!" I yelled.

"Ohhhh, makes me wanna dance. Ohhhh, it's a new romance. Ohhhh, I look into your eyes. Ohhhh, best years of our lives!" we sung happily, as we danced and spun around with each other.

Suddenly, everybody began applauding and cheering loudly.

"That's our boy." said Kirk, smiling, as he clapped.

"I can't believe Bart got his own dance party with his friends and dedicated it to our son." said Luann, smiling, as she clapped.

"Thank you, thank you very much, everybody." announced Bart, as we all took a bow.

"That was awesome, Bart!" Janey said happily.

"Yeah, you go, Bart!" said Mary happily.

"Let's do that again sometime!" said Milhouse happily.

"Bart! Lisa!" exclaimed Marge, as she came over to us and hugged us tightly. "You were magnificent!"

"Thanks, Mom." I said, as I hugged Marge back. "It was Bart's idea."

"This is the best wedding party ever!" said Bart happily.

"You should thank Milhouse for inviting the both of you." said Marge.

"Sure, Mom." Bart and I said.

We walked over to Milhouse and I said, "Milhouse, thanks for inviting me and Bart to come to the wedding party."

"I'm very glad you could come." said Milhouse, as he went into his pocket and pulled out my silver locket.

"Hey, that's my silver locket!" I exclaimed.

"That's right. I wanted you to have it back so you can always have me around." said Milhouse, as he put my silver locket on my neck.

"Thanks, Milhouse." I said happily. "I'm gonna treasure this with me forever and ever."

"Whoa." Bart said, as he looked at my silver locket and began cracking up. "Is that a silver heart that was taken out of an animal?"

"No, it's a silver locket." I said, looking all agitated.

Then, I went into my pocket, took out a small box and said, "This one's for you, Milhouse."

"For me?" gasped Milhouse, as he quickly snatched the small box out of my hands.

He opened it, revealing a small compass with a school portrait of me from picture day.

"Oh my God…" he croaked quietly. "It's so beautiful."

"So you can always have me around." I said, as my cheeks began to blush.

"Lisa, you're extraordinary, smart, popular and nice." Milhouse said, smiling. "Thank you."

"You're welcome." I said. "It was my mom's idea and I made it for you."

"Wow. Did you do it by yourself?" he said.

"Well, I had a little help trying to close the compass with the plastic protector." I replied.

"It doesn't matter!" Milhouse said happily, as he put his compass in his pocket. "I'm gonna treasure this with me for the rest of my life!"

"I'm glad you like it." I said.

"Attention, everybody." we heard the DJ announce. "Please go to your seats because it's time for Luann and Kirk's wedding dance."

"Hey, your parents are gonna have a dance too?" asked Bart curiously.

"Yeah," said Milhouse. "Haven't you forgotten?"

"Uh, not really." I said seriously.

"Well, come on!" Milhouse said, as he dragged me and Bart away. "Let's go watch my parents dance before it's too late!"
