Chapter 36

It had been an hour since John had found out about Virgil, he had managed to get access through to the CCTV. John didn't really want to watch this but he had to clear his brothers name. once he got the CCTV for that night, John sent everything through to Scott. It had showed that Louise did kill herself. John had tried to call Scott, but he kept cutting him off.

"Hey John, what can I do for you?"

"Do you know where Scott is? I have been trying to call him but he keeps cutting me off"

"He is upstairs with Jo, believe it or not but Virgil sent Jo a message to let her know what is going on. Scott is up there now explaining everything to her, at first we weren't going to tell Jo but your brother sent her that message."

"Okay then I have the CCTV here and it looks like Louise did kill herself, I am going to send everything through to Scott now. The sooner we get this sorted the better it is for everyone." Said John

"Have you told your Father yet?"

"No not yet, I want to leave it for now. The least people know about it the better, oh Dad has started training the girls for IR, don't worry its nothing they can't handle because we know that Laura still has her school work to do."

"That is good news John, I know that you didn't want to look at that CCTV but you needed to sort Virgil"

"I know it was hard going but I pulled through it, I have also made a phone call to child services. Let them know that Holly will want to take over Samuels care."

"That is brilliant news John, at least you will still see Samuel anytime you want"

"Well Mum I better go here please get Scott to give me a call once he is done talking with Jo"

"I will John speak to you soon"

While Lucy was talking to John, Scott arrives upstairs to explain what is going on to his sister in Law.

"Scott please tell me what is happening with Virgil?"

"its Okay Jo, we are working to clear Virgil from this"

"What happened over there Scott? Virgil didn't go into details when he came back here. I could tell that there was something bad had happened."

"When Virgil went to check these Alarms at the office, he walked into find someone pointing a gun at him. It turned out to be Louise, she got mad because Dad took her off the pay roll and some how found out that John handed their son into foster care."

"What did Virgil do then?"

"You know Virgil, he tired to talk to Louise, he even offered to help her out. From what Virgil has told me Louise shot herself when Virgil wasn't looking. This is what he gets in return trying to help, anyway how are you doing now?

"Getting really fed up Scott, I need these babies out into my arms but it's a three week wait now. I am really scared now that it is getting close"

"You will be fine Jo, you are great parents to Robyn, these babies are so lucky to have you two as parents." Said Scott

"How did you get on with Lisa?" Asked Jo while changing the subject a little.

"We got on okay, had to make the date short after I got that message from Virgil, Lisa just told me to go on and she would catch up with me later."

"I still can't believe that Virgil got arrested over Louise, we went out for dinner a couple of months ago and Virgil thought he saw Louise working behind a bar. He was going to say something but I told him to leave it"

"Well don't worry we intend to clear Virgil on this and have him home before you know it, John is getting the CCTV together for me. Once we have that then I will be heading to the police station to hand this in. Anyway Lisa needs you to ring her, she found something on your scan that she needs to tell you and Virgil about."

"Any idea what it's about Scott?"

"No idea Jo, she just told me that you had to call her"

Just as Scott is upstairs the door bell rings, its Lady Penelope with all the things for this baby shower. She had a feeling that something had been going on because it took Lucy ages to answer the door.

"Hey Lucy, where is Virgil? He was meant to meet me to help bring some of these things over for this baby shower."

"Sorry Penny, Virgil has been arrested Scott and John are working on clearing him as we speak. Scott is upstairs speaking to Jo because Virgil sent Jo a message giving her the bad news."

"Well I was hoping to hold this in a couple of hours from now, do you think Scott and John can clear Virgil in time?"

"We should be able to Penny, John has sent me through what we need. I am just on my way to the police station now. Jo is fine by the way but she is worried about the babies." Said Scott as he made his way down the stairs and made his way out the door.

"Okay Scott you go on and get your brother home, I will go up and have a chat with Jo to see how she really is. Penny you can start setting things up because this baby shower is happening people."

After Scott had picked Virgil up at the police station, he decided that he is going to tell his brother about that Rescue that shook him up. It didn't take Scott long getting to the police station. Once Scott arrived he handed the copy of the CCTV over to the officer in charge. About a half an hour later Virgil walks out to see Scott waiting on him.

"Oh, thank God you are here, they have been trying to twist my words since I got here making me look like the bad guy. I was hoping that the CCTV was working so thanks Scott."

"Anytime Virg, you know John had to watch Louise kill herself but he pushed through it. He wanted to help clear you off this. By the way thanks for giving me the job of talking to your wife after you sent that message"

"Is Jo Okay then? I didn't want to keep this from her and I knew someone would be there with her. So, thanks again Scott"

"She is fine Virg, you on the other hand have a surprise baby shower to get too. Penny has arrived and is setting everything up." Said Scott as both brothers got into the car for the drive back.

"So, Scott are you up to telling me what happened on that last rescue?"

"Yeah, I am ready to talk about it now, we got a call from John saying that a few school kids got trapped in a crave. When we got there we managed to get almost everyone out, but this one"

"Go on Scott"

"This child had been crushed by a rock and we couldn't do anything for her. I had the job of taking her back to her parents, it was heart breaking Virgil. This wee girl would have been Robyn's age."

"its okay to have these feelings Scott after losing someone on a mission, it shows that you are only human. You did your best by the sounds of it, don't forget about that wee boy I lost a few months ago. I still feel bad for not getting to him in time but I am getting there."

"Yeah and we both know what happened when you didn't turn up for the debrief, I went looking for you and the first place I checked was TB2. You were in there with Jo on your cockpit floor naked with a blanket around you both. So, I know how these babies came about and I haven't said a word to anyone about it"

"Thanks Scott" said Virgil with a smile as he walked back through the front door ready to help out with this baby shower. Jo is going to love this
