Ruby was home from hospital a couple of days and done all of the homework the girls brought back for her to do, so now she was checking out some anime Sun had given her whne her mobile phone rang. Pausing the Blu Ray, Ruby answered her phone
"Hello Ruby speaking" she said cheerily as she laid back on the lounge.
"Hey honey, how are you feeling?" a voice asked
"MUM!" Ruby jumped "How are you feeling"
"I'm good, and I should be asking you that question considering you were in the hospital" Summer said
"What, what do you mean?" Ruby said
"ruby, I know you were in the hospital, Yang told us in a panicked stated" Summer said
"Um, you don't need to come up, I'm back home now"
"And you've got another two days off school" Summer said
"Alright I suppose" Ruby muttered
"Okay, we'll see you in ten minutes sweetie" Summer said hanging up
"Alright, wait ten minutes!" Ruby panicked dialling Yang.
"Hey Ruby, what's up?" Yang asked as she was in the library on her study break.
"You have to get home NOW!" Ruby shouted
"Okay Rubes, but why?"
"Mum and Dad will be here soon" Ruby said
"Wait our parents are here, how soon?" Yang asked
"Ten minutes" Ruby said
"It's going to take me fifteen to get home" Yang said
"Alright just hurry" Ruby said as Yang started to pack up
"Yang?" Blake asked.
"I have get home, right NOW!" Yang said
"What why?" Blake asked packing up as well
"We're getting visitors" Yang stated running off
"Who?" Blake shouted speeding after Yang.
Ruby was rushing to change out of her PJs and into some proper clothes. She was wearing black cargo pants and was pulling on a red top with black sleeves.
"Crap, why didn't they tell me sooner" she panicked shoving the dishes in the dishwasher "Yang should've done this before leaving for school" the she noticed something was off. "Oh man, where is one of my bras" she said dashing into the laundry before finding one of her bras; namely a black and red sports bra she wears on the days she has gym class. Removing her top she quickly pulls her bra on and then her top back on before a car was heard.
"That's them!" Ruby panicked running a hand through her hair before she had a bit of a coughing fit. "Damn" she said before opening the door.
Once she opened the door a grey and white blur impacted with Ruby sending her to the floor as Summer walked over and helped her daughter up, pulling her into a gentle hug
"Hey sweetie; how are you feeling any better?" she asked gently
"A bit" Ruby said as her father walked over to her, Taiyang Akatsuki Xiao Long was a man about six foot tall with wild blonde hair, violet eyes. He wore an orange shirt, black jeans and a short sleeved brown duster.
"Hey my baby girl. You alright now?" Akatsuki asked smiling
"I'm better now daddy" Ruby smiling before hearing a noise behind her making her happy.
Yang and Blake parked their cars and got out running over to the door, which was open
"Ruby?" Yang asked placing her bag down and looked around
"Is that you Yang?" Akatsuki said appearing in the doorway
"Dad!" Yang basically glomped her father seeing him "I missed you"
"Hey Sunny" Akatsuki said hugging Yang before he spotted Yang "And I take it this lovely woman is Blake"
"Hello sir" Blake said shaking Akatsuki's hand before the grey and white Blur came up to Yang
"Huh?" Yang asked before figuring out what it was "Zwei! Hey boy" Yang said babying the dog
"Why is there a dog in my house?" Blake seethed
"Our house you mean?" Yang asked as she patted Zwei.
"Not what I meant, anyway why is there a dog NEAR ME!" Blake exclaimed making Zwei happily bark causing Blake to flinch
"I forgot you're a cat Faunus aren't you" Akatsuki said
"Yeah I am, so I'm not too fond of dogs" Blake said
"Don't worry the only thing Zwei will attack is thieves and scuzzballs" Akatsuki said petting the Corgi who was happily wagging his tail happily
"Alright then" Blake said nervously
"So Summer how long are you here for?" Blake asked
"A couple of days. Just to make sure Ruby's fully healed; she's had a bad cold before; luckily Yang got here whne she did." Summer said smoothing Ruby's hair
"Mum, stop that" Ruby whined
"I'm surprised Qrow didn't know about it" Akatsuki said concerned
"Yeah where was that no good brother of mine?" Summer asked
"Work" Blake and Yang said
"He got desk duty for awhile" Ruby said
"What for?" Summer asked
"He threatened Mayor Ironwood" Ruby sated
"Oh brother; why he'd do that?" Summer asked
"We were arrested on false charges" Blake said sipping her tea, not noticing that Zwei had taken residence by her foot snoring lightly. Yang and Akatsuki saw this and smiled.
'Softy' the two blondes thought smiling making the two redheads confused
"Later dear" Akatsuki said smiling as Blake finished her tea, stood up and stretched; Zwei he kept sleeping.
On the outskirts of Town Neo sat looking over the city before exhaling
"Something the matter Neo?" a sultry voice asked
"Cinder, no absolutely not" Neo said startled.
"You're lying to me" Cinder said brushing her finger under Neo's chin "You're not having second thoughts are you?"
"No I'm not I'm still dedicated to our cause" Neo said as Cinder stalk off, Neo looked down for a bit, while her heterochromia eyes scanned an item in her hand
"To serve and protect but now I'm trying to bring this city down on its ass" Neo said looking at her old police badge. She made a decision, tomorrow she would go back to the life of law and order. Getting back in her car she dialled a number
"Qrow" Qrow said as he answered his desk phone
"Hey chief" a voice said
"Neo, what's going on are you turning yourself in?" Qrow asked
"I am sir, I feel like I'm no more use here. I'm putting people in danger more and more sir. And...and I don't want to"
"Alright I'll get you; where are you?" Qrow replied
"Outskirts" Neo answered.
"Just wait there" Qrow said hanging up
"What is it?" Skyler asked
"An Undercover officer just cancelled their mission and I'm bringing them in...Again" Qrow said
"Understood sir, to you require assistance?" Skyler asked.
"Doubt it, anyway Summer's in town and if she doesn't see her niece I'll be in trouble okay?"
"Sure thing dad" Skyler said gathering her things to take off.
A/N: hey guys so I'm back from my holiday to the city, but man was it a good trip especially yesterday and the day before when I went to Supanova, think of it as Australian Comic-Con. There I met Gus and Jordan from RT, saw a clip from X-Ray and Vav, picked up a whole heap of RT Merch including a particular set of plushies, heap of books anime, got a ton of cosplay picture including some RWBY cosplays and so on. So now I'm back on and will resume Redline after its hiatus.
