Old faces brings new heartache's

Narrowing his eyes angrily, Hikaru folded his arms over his chest and huffed a curse word under his breath as he looked towards his left.

Looking over from across the courtroom, Hikaru glared at the Kuro who was sitting there like there wasn't a care in the world.. Sitting there with his legs crossed and his arms behind his head. . Looking like he hadn't doesn't anything wrong and wondered why they had him there.

It made Hikaru sick, and made him want to stalk right over there and punch him, just because of his smug smirk he was giving everything, especially when he noticed him giving Haruhi a look every once in a while.

It was all his fault they where there, though he looked like he was the innocent one.

Hikaru didn't know why it took so long to actually go to court, something about there being a waiting period, and there being too much people in front to them waiting to go to court. . What difference does it make going to court anyway? if everyone knew who was at fault, what was the freaking point? it just meant for the victim to see her rapist again!

Stupid.

That was the only child-friendly word that Hikaru could think of to describe it all.

He glanced towards his side and saw his pretty, plump Haruhi siting right there comfortably with his arm wrapped around her shoulder, and her so close she could practically be his other half physically.. He frowned at her solemn expression she was giving the judge.

Grumbling yet another curse word, Hikaru saw Haruhi look over across him and followed her gaze, that was unfortunately over to Kuro, who smirked and winked at her.

Hikaru twitched.

Everyone came with them, he didn't know why, probably for support or something, but he didn't care either way, them being there didn't change the fact that he was pissed off.

Ryoji was there, and Tamaki of course.. They were a few seats behind Kuro both giving him death glares scary enough to rip him to shreds with just their eyes.. Kaoru was on the other side of Haruhi, it didn't bother him that she was holding his hand, cause from the looks of it, it looked like she was depriving his fingers of regular blood flow.

And Kyouya, Mori and Hunny where a few seats behind them, he couldn't see what they were doing but only guessed that Kyouya was giving everything a bored look, and both Mori and Hunny were just as angry as Ryoji and Tamaki were.

His anger however, couldn't be compared to any of theirs.

Kaoru blinked and looked down at his hand, that seemed to be throbbing slightly from being squeezed so hard and too long.. He didn't mind though and tried to squeeze her hand too, but she probably didn't feel it.. He smiled softly to himself and looked towards Hikaru, leaning over Haruhi's oblivious head.

"How long have we ben here?" He asked curiously. Puckering out his lips innocently and noticed Hikaru's expression turn more irritated.

"I don't know," Hikaru puffed in a whisper, then looked down at his overly expensive watch. "...About, almost two hours."

"He's ben talking to that police guard for over fifteen minutes already than." Kaoru sighed softly, leaning back into his seat properly as he watched Haruhi squeeze Hikaru's hand along with his.. Hikaru's hand however, looked like it was about to pop, and would need medical attention.

The judge was talking to the guard who had ben there with Hikaru when he went over to meet with Kuro awhile ago, and had taken to his office and was held there until Kyouya came to rescue him... He didn't know what the point was to talk to that jerk, its not like he was there at the real problem.

They were just trying to get him in trouble with Haruhi.

The hard scowl hadn't left Hikaru's face as he finally watched the guard bow to the old judge and walk off towards the sidelines, he crossed his arms and looked over towards Kuro and gave him a smug, cocky smirk.. Which was replied to by a eye roll.

Hikaru had the urge to stick his tongue out childishly at him, but decided not to, to keep his mature attitude out until they were to get home. . He stuck his nose up at Kuro and cuddled up closer to Haruhi cockily.

Haruhi sighed and finally let Kaoru's hand have a rest, she was beginning to worry about it being so purple, and looked at Hikaru's hand, having it look that same as his brothers but Haruhi still had her fingers latched around his. He was just going to have to deal with it.

She blinked her half lidded eyes and wondered how much longer they were going to be there, cause all she wanted to do was take a nice long nap.. She would occasionally glance over from across Hikaru, over at Kuro, but every time he was looking at her, so she quickly turned back around.

Every time she saw his face she was bombarded with images of what he did to her three months ago.. It made her heart twitch, and she had to blink away water from her eyes.

She felt stupid for still being hunted by him.. It was nearly over three months ago, and she still felt terrified.. Shouldn't she had gotten over it all ready? why did it all still make her want to cry and get all emotional? why did she still occasionally have dreams about it?

There had ben a few times where she woke up trembling after a dream, and had woken Hikaru up a few times, but just told him that a babies where kicking hard or something stupid like that, something that he would believe so he wouldn't get all mooshy on her.

She took a deep breath and looked towards the judge and watched as he played with his gavel and gave her a solemn look. . She twitched as she heard him talk, his deep, hard voice echoing through the courtroom.

"Mr. Ichirou, would you please step up to the stand?"

Hikaru couldn't help but smirk just a little as he watched Kuro being led up to the stand that was next to the judge.. To her displeasure, Hikaru detached her fingers from his hand and wrapped his arm around her shoulders, shifting his body a little to give her his other hand to have fun squeezing, he just couldn't take the stinging pain her nails where giving him as they dug into his skin.

Kuro Turned around once, just to see the look on Hikaru's face, that basically showed. "Yeah-you-get-up-there-and-once-you-get-back-down-I'll-kick-your-ass"

Kuro smirked at that look. Then turned back around, stepping up to the little box he was suppose to sit in that was next to the judge.. The judge gave him a serious face full of no emotion and he sat down.

The middle aged judge cleared his throat and rubbed his face. "Mr. Ichirou." He nodded his head professionally, then suddenly turned his gaze over towards Hikaru, making his flinch.

"Mr. Hitachiin?" He said firmly.. Making Hikaru sigh dramatically, and totally unprofessionally. "You wanted to ask Mr. Ichirou some questions?"

Its about freaking time, I asked about an hour ago.

Hikaru nodded. Looking down at Haruhi who had scooted a little away from him to get him go.. He glanced over towards his brother and watched as he put a hand on top of her head. . He scrunched up his face and stood up. Dusting off his shirt like he had gotten dirt on it from sitting down.

He sighed heavily and stalked up to one of the two stand things that were there and stuck his hands into his pockets, standing right behind it, giving Kuro a glare before he settled down right there.. Brushing away his bangs.

As Hikaru watched a man in a police uniform walk up to Kuro he put some sort of bible book thing in front of him and told him to promise to tell the truth and nothing but the truth and stuff like that. . Hikaru rolled his eyes, not knowing what the book had to do with anything.

"Alright Mr. Hitachiin, would you like to start now?" The judge asked calmly. Looking away from Kuro and looked at Hikaru.

"With pleasure," Hikaru muttered quietly to himself, so no one would hear him.. He cracked his fingers and narrowed his eyes at the blacked haired man and glared harmfully.. Though he decided to be professional, just to keep up his clean image. "Mr. Ichirou."

"Mr. Hitachiin."

"...Who the hell do you think you are?"

Kuro blinked innocently and glanced over towards the judge and laughed under his breath and slowly moved his gaze back over to him. "Mr. Hitachiin, I don't think that's a question."

"Oh no Mr. Ichirou," Hikaru said cockily. Folding up his arms as he looked over to Haruhi, who was obviously giving him a confused look too, Kaoru knew what he meant though. . "I do believe its a vary fitting question right now."

"Yeah!" Tamaki suddenly shouted, apparently feeling childish, he shot out of his seat angrily and pointed a shaky finger towards Kuro. "Who do you think you-!?"

"Silence!" The judge shouted out to the idiotic blond who had suddenly decided to disturbed his courtroom. "Mr. Suoh, if you plan on disturbing this courtroom again, like the last three times, I'll have you sent out."

Tamaki froze, took once look over to Haruhi. Then pouted and sat back down.. Receiving an eye roll from Ryoji, who wanted to do the same thing but he had already disturbed the courtroom just as many times as he had, and didn't want to be kicked out when he should be in there supporting his violated daughter.

Ryoji blinked at Tamaki and turned his attention to Haruhi. Wondering why he hadn't chose to sit next to her instead of all the way where he was at. . Kaoru didn't need to sit by her anyway, what good was he? patting her head doesn't do anything, she needs her daddy~!

"Mr. Hitachiin, could you rephrase that question?" The judge asked in as calmly as he could after being irritated by Fujioka and Suoh..

Hikaru rolled his eyes and wondered why no one could understand a simple. 'what the hell' and tried to rephrase his question the best he could for stupid minds he was surrounded by, it was such a bother.. "Ugh, fine... Mr. Ichirou, what where you thinking when you went to my wife office and forced yourself on her?"

"..."

"Hmm?"

"I was intoxicated Mr. Hitachiin, I don't I remember what I was thinking that day."

Haruhi sighed.

"Interesting," Hikaru mumbled. Crossing one foot infront of the other and leaned back comfortably. "Fine than... What where you thinking when you got yourself intoxicated at work? was there a special reason for that? some sort of purpose? like you were planning on doing what you did all along?"

"I'm not sure, All I remember is being woken up by a bunch of police, then they took me to the station." Kuro replied solemnly. Leaning back into his chair carelessly. "Why don't you tell me what you were doing when you came over to the station to harass me~?"

Hikaru froze as he just stood there.. He took one irritated breath and looked towards him expressionless. "...I don't see how that has anything to do with what I just asked you," He mumbled irritably and wondered why everything was so difficult. "Please don't change the subject."

"Oh, look who's being all mature in front of his wife~" Kuro smirked, biting his bottom lip. Crossing his leg over the other as he watched Hikaru's face get red from irritation. He liked seeing him like that, it was so fun to piss people off. . "Not at all like you were when you came to the station, and got yourself arrested~"

Hikaru licked his lips and took a nervous glance towards Haruhi who he noticed was looking at him weird and he guessed that she probably wanted answers and that they probably were going to have a long talk about it when they were to get home.. He sighed and quickly looked away as if in shame.

"That's not what happened," Hikaru quickly corrected him. Narrowing his eyes as a vein popped out of his forehead once again. "Its not about me though."

"Oh that's right, you came over to harass me, then they took you away to the office, where you had to stay there until someone came a picked you up."

"..."

"When was that?... Three months ago?"

"Mr. Ichirou, I agree with Hitachiin, lets try and stay on subject, not all of use have all day," The judge sighed and rubbed his temple, knowing that he had about five more cases that day.. "Mr. Hitachiin, please continue."

Kuro's upper lip curved upwards in disgust and let out a short, sharp breath through his clenched teeth, and kept his arms cross as he waited for Hikaru to continue with what ever stuff he wanted to complain about next..

Hikaru sighed and bit the inside of his cheeks as he thought about what else he wanted to say to him.. But he couldn't really think of anything he wanted to say. Even if he had asked to an hour ago.. What else could he say? other than ask what the hell he was thinking, cause that's all he wanted to know.

"Alright," Hikaru twitched irritably and stretched out his fingers over the small table like desk that he was required to stand by. "Mr. Ichirou... Tell me, was it just a coincidence that you just happen to have put a bruise on my wife face and force her to stick her hand down a paper shredder, and just a week later you seduced her in her office? claiming you were drunk?"

Kuro blinked and looked over at the judge, who didn't look like he was on his side vary much, and instead looked rather interested from his reply to Hikaru's assumption..

"I-... I don't know what your talking about," he stuttered, looking at him like he wanted Hikaru to stop talking.. "Who ever said I forced her to stick her hand down a paper shredder, and I never laid a hand on her before and put a mark on her."

Wow, he's probably trying to piss me off on purpose. Hikaru thought to himself as he narrowed his eyes harder at him and took a long stream of breath into his lungs as he gave his a cold solemn look.

"That's true," Hikaru muttered, tapping the microphone almost subconsciously, his golden eyes scared to look behind him at Haruhi, scared of her face she was giving him as he asked questions about her. . "...But, it doesn't matter whether you forced her or not, she still ended up with it there."

"And how do you know I put a bruise on her face anyway?" Kuro raised his eyebrow innocently. "Ever think that she lied about it?"

"Kind of hard to lie about something when its clear in her face, want pictures?"

"I meant lied that I did it."

"And why would she do that?"

Kuro rolled his eyes and sighed heavily, as if Hikaru was suppose to know automatically what he meant, so he wouldn't have to explain it. . Then smirked as he thought of a few good reasons.

"You know," He started. Leaning forwards to rest his upper torso on the desk.. "So we could be here?"

"What are you getting at?" Hikaru looked at his suspiciously.

"She probably wanted me gone," Kuro suggested. "Couldn't handle the competition at work, with me out of the picture, she could easily get up to be top class lawyer of the office with her skills." He smirked and looked over at Haruhi, who just happened to look up from the floor at thee exact moment.

Hikaru felt his heart rate go up and his blood boil with just what he said. Watched the man look at his Haruhi, the look in his eyes didn't sit well with the copper haired male, in fact it angered his quite a bit. . He was literately on his last nerve with him.

Hikaru's eye twitched as he looked back up at him after looking at the floor for a moment, trying to regain himself, and not give in into childish temptation of wanting to punch him till he cried, and just keep punching him out of spite.

Having Haruhi and everyone he actually knew, there, was the only thing that was stopping him from doing so.

Plus his mother was somewhere in the stands.

"Don't you dare go on again about you being the innocent one," Hikaru growled, clenching his hand into a fist, dropping it to his side so people couldn't see it shake.. "You and I both know damn well what you did, and that it was all you."

"Alright, this arguing isn't getting us anywhere," the judge finally spoke up, lightly tapping his gravel on the desk, just to make sure he was getting everyone's attention. Especially the stubborn Hikaru Hitachiin, who looked rather red at the moment.

If he hadn't known that he was pissed off, the judge would have asked him if he had a fever.

"I do have other cases I have to tend to," he continued calmly. His dirty blond bangs covered his forehead. "Mr. Ichirou, why don't you step down, we'll have Mrs. Hitachiin clarify all this properly."

Hikaru glared angrily as a blackish purple aura surrounded him as a man in a police uniform helped his pregnant Haruhi up to stand, while he watched Kuro step down and went to go sit where he was before. . Right in front of Tamaki and Ryoji, who were sitting there pretending to stab him in the back.

Hikaru folded his arms and looked at his twin as he leaned in closer to him. "Hikaru," he whispered. "I don't understand why this is taking so long, I thought they were just going to determine how long he go's in for, not to talk to everyone."

"They're doing it to piss people off," Hikaru grumbled in reply, scrunching up his face as Kuro's lawyer stepped up to the small table like desk that he was formally standing at when he was asking the questions. "Its ben three and a half hours...I have no idea what made Haruhi want to stay in a place like this all day long, its torture."

Kaoru nodded in agreement and copied his brother position as he crossed his arms over his chest.. "I don't understand what their talking about either, just a bunch of big words that make no sense.. My brain can't comprehend any of this"

Kaoru noticed from the corner of his eye, his brother rolling his eyes and curse something foul under his breath, he had ben doing that a lot during the time sense they left home to now.. "You okay Hikaru?"

"No."

"Me neither."

Kaoru sighed lightly and looked over to where Tamaki and Ryoji were siting, he knew they wanted to say something just to say something, but they just kept muttering to each other, he couldn't really hear what about though.

"I don't like him."

"I think we finally found something we agree on." Ryoji growled, huffing to Tamaki as they looked at the back of Kuro's head, he looked up to see his cute little round Haruhi sit down at the stand and be talked to by some professional woman with her hair pulled up in a tight brown bun.

Sitting there in a fancy dress and heels, Ryoji tapped his shoe against the floor and waited for this whole thing to be over so he could go hug his poor innocent daughter like she needed to be.. Why was she in the stand anyway? she didn't do anything.

Tamaki scowled a uncharacteristic glare as he narrowed his eyes and huffed a sharp breath out of his nose. With his hands clenched into fists that he rested on his thighs. . Looking at Kuro like he was planning on biting his head off.

His poor Haruhi looked so innocent sitting up there by herself, and cute~!

"Mrs. Hitachiin," the woman mumbled bowing in respect of the rich.. She puffed out her chest in her tight skirt uniform and stepped back to stand in front of the small questioning desk.. Her shinny black eyes looking at her through her reading glasses.. "Like my client suggested before, is it possible you lied about Mr. Ichirou leaving marks on you just so you could upgrade your title?"

We work together so you should know that I wouldn't do that. Haruhi thought to herself as she sat there quietly. Rapping her fingers on her thighs while she watched toe woman in front of her, write something down about her hesitating.. "No," she finally replied. "I would never do that."

"Then why do you think Mr. Ichirou would suggest that idea?"

"I have no idea."

"Interesting," the woman mumbled, casting a glanced over towards her client, Kuro.. She worked in the same office with Haruhi, and didn't want to work against her like this, but when you get hired to do a job, you can't refuse when you work paycheck to paycheck.. "Could you explain to us your side of the story of how it happened?... Just to in enlighten us."

Haruhi took a deep breath through her chest that felt congested, like she had some sort of cold.. She looked over at Kuro and noticed his smug smirk and blinked her weary eyes.. "Like I explained countless of times before, Ku-...Mr. Ichirou came into my office, smelling of alcohol... He said he wanted to discuss some important matters."

Hikaru glared angrily towards Kuro as he heard him snicker.

Haruhi sighed and brushed her hair a little out of her face, wondering why she hadn't pulled it up into a ponytail before she left the house. Then calmly continued. "And apparently what he meant by 'important matters' he meant, forcing my clothes off and slamming me to the ground."

Wow, Haruhi sure is scary angry looking right now. Hikaru mused quietly to himself as he watched and listened intently to the woman and his Haruhi's conversation.. Talking all about Kuro and what he did.. Every word they spoke made his want to jump right out of his seat and throw himself at the jerk and pound his face into the desk.

Listening to what Haruhi was saying, made images pop into his head of what he thought happened.. He bowed his head down a little, so the shadow of his bangs covered his eyes, and the cold aura around his got colder. And it would probably attract quite a bit of attention if it was actually there.

He felt his chest tie itself in a knot as he listened to his wife's voice shake as she got to the more detailed and serious part of what they were talking about.. He had heard all about it that night when he sat her down on the couch and force her to talk to him after awhile of being depressed. . Though it still hurt to hear it, and what he did to her while he was at home doing nothing.

How could he be so stupid? he comes home from work, and finds a bruise on her face, then she has her hand forced down a paper shredder. (She says it was to retrieve a pen, but he seriously didn't believe that) How could he just let her go back to work so easily?

Its a funny feeling, wanting to cry and wanting to punch someone out in anger.. A mixture of opposite feelings ran in through his body, wanting to jump up and shout a hand full of curse words, though at the same time he wanted to crawl away into a hole, just to get away from it all... He contemplated covering his ears so he couldn't hear all the trash talk, but he didn't. . He felt like it was punishment for not being a better husband.

He felt like a pretty sucky one too.. Letting Haruhi go to work.. While he laid on the couch, cursing her out because she didn't come home when she said she would.. He though she stayed over there longer because she wanted to.. Not because she was being taken advantaged of by a man, not to mention who was her co-worker.

Hikaru's head suddenly snapped up as soon as the words video camera were mentioned.

"Wasn't there a video camera in your office at the time Mrs. Hitachiin?" The woman who was also Haruhi's co-worker, asked. Her hands rummaging through the papers she had sprawled across the desk in front of her.. "Do we have that with us?" She said as she turned to a police officer that was off to the side.

Both Hikaru and Kuro flinched at the thought of there being a video camera.

"Yes," Haruhi replied professionally, clearing her throat without looking weird. "But it doesn't show anything that would be helpful to anything." She sighed and placed a hand on her bulging stomach. . Looking over to Hikaru who looked rather alarmed when he heard her clear her throat.

"I see," she said solemnly. Clicking her glasses again when she looked over towards. "Well then, I don't believe I have anymore questions Mrs. Hitachiin, you can step down now."

Hikaru's body jerked a little as he watched Haruhi nod and stand up.. He got ready to stand up to, to go over and help her large form walk down a few steps and sit back in her place in the stands, but the police office got to the job before he could process anything and helped guide her to where he was standing.

He panicked a little as Haruhi stumbled forward a little but he grabbed onto her arms and helped her sit down next to Kaoru again.. After twenty minutes of being absent of her, he made it a point to wrapping both his arms around her as she sat between both him and his brother.

Stupid court people taking her away to sit all the way over there. . Just a bunch of jerks.

"You okay?" He pouted softly, with his bottom lip puckered out, he laid his head down at her giving her a concern look.

"Yeah, why?" Haruhi mumbled lightly leaning into his warmth of his arm.. "You know we're having a talk when we get home right?"

Hikaru snickered. Getting a know it all look from Kaoru as he cuddled up closer to her and had Kaoru's arm wrap around her too.. "We don't have to." He muttered.

"Your going to explain to me how you got arrested."

"...Fine."

The judge and a hand full of police men, were talking and saying things so quietly that it was beyond the normal humans ear to catch, it irritated Hikaru on not knowing what was going on and what they were agreeing on.

It seemed unprofessional to him, but what ever.. What ever it was going to take to get that man in jail, and for a long time at that. . But he still didn't like that they were waiting for so long to do so.. All they really needed to do was flip a coin whether to put him on death sentence, or give his fifteen years in prison. Right?

Okay, maybe not, but Hikaru thought that, that would be a great idea.. Much faster too.

Hikaru folded his arms and crossed his legs as he sat comfortably next to his wife who he stuck her hand into his coat pocket on purposely.. He gave a serious look towards everything that was in reach of where his eyes could see.

He felt the side of his head throb painfully as he was beginning to develop a severe headache.. Every time he took a breath, the lump in his lower chest seemed to get bigger and made it harder for him to breathe. . Saying that he was simply irritated wasn't quiet right anymore. He was beyond that point but he couldn't think of a word that could describe it.

He just wanted to go home now, at first he was excited to going to court, he had ben waiting three months to sit there and trash talk Kuro.. But now he realized that court hearings is not all about trash talking your wife's rapist.. It was about a lot of complicated things that made near to no sense to him.

They called Haruhi up to the stand one more time, and Kenji, and he was sent up there to sit there, they started asking him what he was doing, and was quiet surprised that he was making a big deal about Kuro, when him himself that he was just sitting around at home.

Then Kuro started trash talking him, and all Hikaru wanted to do was punch him in the face more.. He was pretty sure Kuro had no room to talk, while he was the main problem anyway.

He was convinced that they all just wanted to piss him off.

So, so darn much.

He looked down at his side alarmed when Haruhi jumped suddenly by the judge banging down on his desk with his polished wooden hammer. . He watched as she laid a hand on her stomach then glared at the judge wondering if he was going to say something worth listening to.

"The court has made a decision," the middle aged man finally announced. Making everyone who was on Haruhi's side, jolt up to listen. Ryoji pushed Tamaki's face away once he gotten to close, and Hikaru could feel his hand being squeezed rather harshly. "Mr. Ichirou will receive two years of prison, and an additional five months of probation."

"Case dismissed."
