Hello, my lovely readers. It's time for drama in the Big Brother house. On with the show…
This has not been the best week for Alaric. He had nearly been killed in the middle of one of Klaus' and Kol's infamous fights because he had agreed with Kol that Klaus did cry too much. That had caused Klaus to go into a rage and he had attempted to decapitate Alaric with a portrait of Jane Austen from the Big Author game. Kol had caught the portrait and heaved it over the wall where they had been throwing most things they didn't use in the house, never worrying about what became of these things.
"Stop throwing your trash over the wall," Rebekah snapped at Kol while Alaric laid in the sun, enjoying the feel of the rays while Jenna lay beside him. They were as usual trying to stay out of the Originals' family drama.
"It's not my trash. It is the house's trash and I could just as well throw you over the wall; does that mean that you're trash, sister?" Kol had quipped while tossing a second bag over the wall.
Rebekah glared at Kol, seething as she continued to stare at him. "Hey, female Klaus, could ya move, you're blocking my rays," Damon called from Alaric's other side as Rebekah turned her rage on the Salvatore brother.
"You wanker," Rebekah hissed. "It was your turn to take out the trash," she accused Damon who rolled his eyes and flicked his sunglasses upward to glare back at her.
"Not since I checked the list that Vampire Barbie put on the fridge. And you're one to talk. You haven't taken out the trash in about… ever. You've got your little bitch to do it for you," Damon retorted with a sneer.
"Hey," Jeremy snapped, sitting up from his spot next to Damon.
"If the shoe fits, little Gilbert," Damon drawled with a smirk before flipping on his back. "If you could kindly tell your psycho girlfriend to move her ass out of the way so that some of us could actually enjoy the day, I would be ever so grateful."
"Screw you, Damon," Jeremy snapped. Getting to his feet, he walked over to Rebekah's side. "Let's go in," he murmured to Rebekah who was still glaring at Damon with a murderous look on her face.
"Damon, are you ever going to act like an adult?" Jenna asked, propping herself up on her elbow.
"Coming from the woman who flashed the camera team on our first night; I wouldn't be aspiring for role model of the year," Damon snarked with a grin as his eyes roamed to Jenna's chest who blushed crimson and rolled onto her back and turned her head on Damon.
"Damon, you're really working on making people want to keep you in this house, aren't you, buddy?" Alaric asked Damon who rolled his eyes skyward with his lips curving to the left in a smug look.
"I'm not worried about going anywhere this week," Damon replied with a self-satisfied smile.
"Really? You think that Elijah likes you well enough to keep you around?" Jenna quipped with a grin that was not altogether friendly.
"Yup. I think that Elijah likes me just well enough to keep me around here for another week," Damon replied.
"Oh, and why would he do that?" Alaric asked, looking at Damon who wagged a finger at him.
Damon was grinning as he fell onto his back. "That is for me to know and for you to find out."
"Fine, keep your secret. I just want to stay here for a while longer before we get booted back to The Other Side," Alaric sighed, watching fluffy clouds drift by.
Damon's smile slid downward as he looked at his friend. "What's it like there?"
"Lonely. That's the only word I can think of. And I kept a pretty close eye on you," Alaric replied with a laugh as Damon's eyebrows shot upward.
"Like when I was in the shower?" Damon questioned with a sly smile.
"No. Ew. God, man, why would you go there?" Alaric snapped and then laughed when Damon faked a pout.
"I thought you loved me," Damon replied and Jenna groaned.
"He was probably spying on some college coeds in the shower," Jenna said, flipping onto her back and crossing her arms over her chest.
"Jenna, I wouldn't do that," Alaric retorted but when she turned her back he winked at Damon who covered a snort of laughter with a cough.
"Men," Jenna groaned. "I really do wonder who Elijah is going to put up this week."
"Who knows what goes through the minds of relics," Damon replied, crossing his arms behind his head. "Just be glad that it's not Klaus, again. He's a loose cannon. One week, he'll come after all of us, the next it will be his baby brother."
"Right here," Kol snapped as he finished tossing a lawn chair over the wall.
"Why do you keep tossing things over the wall?" Jenna asked, Kol sitting up and pushing her sunglasses up into her hair.
Kol glanced back at the baby vampire. "I do it to release some tension. Beating up Klaus and Damon just doesn't do it for me like it did outside the house. Here. You try," he called, tossing her a floating bed from the pool.
"If we toss all of our stuff we won't have anything soon," Jenna reasoned but Kol shook his head.
"The Big Brother people keep bringing in new stuff for all the crap I toss. I am truly becoming fond of this place for so many reasons," Kol told them with a grin.
Jenna looked concerned but she walked over to the side of the wall and tossed the bed. Dusting off her hands, she smiled. "That does feel good," she told Kol. Soon she, Alaric and Damon were all throwing various items left around the pool area. When they ran out, they went into the house and raided the rooms and the fridge. It was a good thing that this was the day of the food competition.
The group only stopped tossing whatever wasn't nailed down when the food competition was announced. Alaric felt much better after tossing out Klaus' entire wardrobe and a few of Elijah's books that he had seen Elijah walking through the house with. Rebekah would have to borrow someone else's hair curler. Caroline would be missing half the contents of her makeup bag. Bonnie was down a list of spells she had copied down prior to entering the house. Who the hell needed to be able to levitate a grapefruit in Latin? Jeremy was to find he no longer owned twenty baseball caps to wear throughout the summer (that Kol had been using). Kol had lost four of five baseball bats. Katherine had lost all her lingerie. Liz no longer had her sheriff's badge. Damon was pissed that Ric had tossed his daylight ring and now had to wear a necklace that Klaus offered him with a smirk. Matt lost his last picture of himself and Elena from a billion years ago. And Jenna lost a pair of shoes (that she had "borrowed" from Katherine).
The food competition prevented the contestants from realizing that they were missing precious items as they assembled in the backyard. "I hope that none of you are wearing anything that you are attached to for this competition," Julie joked and the houseguests gave each other curious looks.
"What does that mean?" Caroline shouted, folding her arms over her chest. She was wearing a satin tank that she spent far too much on but had fallen in love with them. Other than that she was wearing a pair of jeans and she was not worried about them.
The rest of the group did not bother to ask what the host was talking about. They knew from previous experience that she would tell them and she did. "Tonight's competition is called 'Bon Appetite.' Each of you will be part of a four person team and one five person which were previously chosen. One person in your team will be selected to take a seat at a table. The other three will choose dishes that your teammate will be forced to ingest. So, be careful what you choose because if your teammate can not keep their dinner down, your whole team will suffer. Are you ready to play?"
"Yes!" the group shouted.
"Okay. Team number one will consist of Elijah, Jeremy, Liz, Kol and Damon. Team number two will be Katherine, Alaric, Rebekah and Klaus. Team number three will be Caroline, Matt, Jenna and Bonnie. You will have three minutes to discuss amongst yourselves who will be eating, and eaters, please remember to put on your bibs and blindfolds prior to beginning." Julie said sweetly as the houseguests muttered their responses.
"I think that the good sheriff should do the eating for our team," Kol announced with a grin.
Kol's teammates ignored him. "All in favor of Kol taking it for the team, raise your hand," Damon countered and Kol's petition was vetoed while Damon won the majority vote with a smirk. "Sorry, Kol. Looks like you'll be eating whatever we shove in your mouth."
"So many retorts, so little time," Kol replied as he pulled his blindfold on, not bothering with the bib. "By all means, Damon, place whatever you'd like in my mouth, just beware my bite," the elder vampire said with a smile that revealed his fangs.
Katherine's team was the next to make their pick. Katherine made the first suggestion. "We all know that Rebekah doesn't really care what she puts in her mouth; so I think she'll be up for this, don't you?" Klaus's mouth turned downward and it was for once Rebekah who held her brother back from killing the doppleganger, regretfully.
"Since you seem to be in the same position, Katherine, why don't you go ahead and bite the bullet?" Klaus inquired in as calm a tone as he could manage.
Shrugging, Katherine picked up the blindfold. "I'll do anything once."
"As we all know well," Rebekah muttered as Katherine smirked.
"I may not be able to see you, but I can still hear you," Katherine told the Original sister.
Alaric rolled his eyes. "Can we just get on with this already?"
"Yes, let's shove something in her mouth to shut her up," Klaus said, grabbing a baguette randomly because it was the largest item in his reach and shoving it into Katherine's mouth who gasped as the older vampire stuffed as much bread into her mouth as he could.
Things seemed to be going well with Caroline's team because Matt had volunteered to eat whatever the ladies in his group wanted to give him. They started out by feeding him grapes. "You're being too nice and you're going to lose," Damon taunted as Caroline gave Matt a strawberry. "You might want to jump to the blood bags."
"Blood bags?" Matt moaned, suddenly looking a little sick as he wiped his mouth. He hadn't noticed them on the table. They must have been hidden.
"Thanks a lot, Damon," Caroline snarled as Matt began to look like he was going to be sick.
Damon did not seem to feel the least bit badly about taunting Matt as he fed Kol a Big Mac. "You know that's not good for my thighs," Kol complained, then began to laugh. "Oh, screw it. I love to eat fast food. More. Bring me more. There had better be fries and a shake with that." Liz pressed a straw into the Original's lips and he happily slurped away at a peppermint shake. "More," he gurgled seconds later.
"Here, Katherine, have some raw liver," Rebekah growled, shoving a mass of bloody meat into the doppleganger's mouth.
"I've had worse from a man I met in Switzerland," Katherine moaned, her lips red from the blood. "But I prefer mine a little fresher. Klaus would you like to offer me a bite?"
"Have a banana," Klaus snapped and jammed the fruit into her open mouth before she could reply. So far they were in second place because Kol was a bloody garbage disposal or part goat. And Matt Donavon looked like he would be sick after Caroline tried to get him to sip a little of blood mixed with a shake.
"Come on, Matt, you volunteered for this. Don't let the whole team down," Caroline groaned as Matt coughed, his face turning green.
"I don't know, Care. I don't think I can drink human blood," Matt moaned, coughing again.
"Just pretend it's like coming out of a steak. You eat yours medium raw, right?" Caroline coaxed.
"Not the same thing," Matt replied, sitting back and holding his hands up in defeat.
Alaric noticed that Damon was chuckling at Matt's suffering and rolled his eyes at his friend. Sometimes, a lot of times, Damon could be a real dick. Refocusing on his own game, he grabbed a head of lettuce and began to shove slice into Katherine's mouth watching the doppleganger munch, wishing she could move just a little bit faster. Caroline had finally gotten Matt to down the last of the blood and they were beginning to make up time while he wolfed down a loaf of French bread. "Come on, Katherine," Alaric muttered through his teeth.
Katherine snorted and then bit Alaric when he placed the next piece of lettuce in her mouth. "Oops," she said with a grin as the former Original Hunter hissed in pain and withdrew his hand. Klaus stepped in. "That's not how you feed someone like Katherine," he stated with a smirk. "She likes to down it all in one gulp. See," he murmured as he took the remaining half and began to shove chunks into Katherine's mouth as she crunched as quickly as she could while he shoved more and more down her throat.
Alaric was beginning to feel sorry for Katherine until she bit Klaus, too, and then smiled. "Ah, I need something to wash that down with," she groaned, licking the blood from her lips. "What's next?"
Damon hit the bell to let everyone know that that signified that his team had won. "We won," Damon shouted, jumping up and down and hugging his teammates, Kol ripped off his blindfold and looked around himself. "I want more fast food," he told them. Without warning he reached out and grabbed the Big Mac from Alaric's team's table and wolfed it down.
"Hey!" Rebekah yelled in frustration. "We needed that. That should disqualify them, yes?" she shouted and Julie's voice rang throughout the yard.
"Sorry, Rebekah. No, there is nothing in the rules that states that if someone from one of the other teams eats your food that they are disqualified, probably because this is a Big Brother first. We might add that rule for next season. Congratulations, Kol, Damon, Liz, Elijah and Jeremy, you have won this week's food competition and you will receive a special reward that you will find out about after the game."
This left Matt to finish up his meal. He seemed to be happy to hear that the other team had fallen behind and was downing a whole lemon meringue pie, taking seconds to sip water before shoving pieces of pie into his mouth with his hands. Caroline was cheering him on and even Alaric was rooting for the human knowing that it would mean that he would not be weakened for the rest of the week without any blood in his system. He seriously wondered how Katherine had managed to not desiccate, it had been weeks since she last fed unless you counted when she bit Klaus minutes ago.
Soon Matt had finished his meal and stuck his tongue out to prove that he was done. "Congratulations, Matt, Caroline, Bonnie and Jenna. You have finished in second place and you will not be on Slop this week. This means that Katherine, Klaus, Rebekah and Alaric, you were unable to finish and you will be on slop for the week," Julie intoned and Alaric grabbed the table that had held the food and tossed it over the wall in his anger. Why could Katherine not have turned her nose up at McDonald's earlier on?
"What else in new?" Katherine quipped, taking her blindfold off.
"It's all your fault," Rebekah wailed and then she kicked one of the tables, breaking off a leg and tried to stake the doppleganger.
"Sister," Klaus warned, taking Rebekah by the wrist and squeezing 'til she dropped the weapon with a grunt of frustration.
"She ruins everything, Nik," Rebekah moaned. "Why can't we just send her home? Why can't Elijah keep his bloody pants on?"
Kol began to laugh. "That might be the first time that Bekah has ever complained about a man keeping his pants on," he taunted and Rebekah threw what was left of the table at him.
"Screw you, Kol," Rebekah fumed.
"But you are my sister and I think that would be a tad bit inappropriate, but if you're up for it," Kol grinned when Rebekah howled in fury and it took Klaus, Elijah, Caroline and Damon to hold her back from killing Kol on the spot.
"I hope you get nominated," Rebekah choked out as Jeremy grabbed her by the waist and tossed her over his shoulder, carrying the angry blonde into the house.
"There you go, Bex, let your little commoner lead you away since we all know you couldn't win a fair fight with me," Kol shouted after Rebekah who was still screaming profanity at her brother.
"Sleep with one eye open, you bastard," Rebekah shouted as Jeremy slid the door closed.
"Nik, I think she was talking to you," Kol said with a wide grin, rocking on his heels as Klaus took a step toward him.
Elijah placed a hand on Klaus' shoulder, holding Klaus back before turning to Kol. Holding one hand up, Elijah pointed at Kol. "I have yet to make up my mind about who to place on the block, Kol. Now, if I were you I would think about what I say and do before you find yourself on the block this week fighting for your life in this game." Turning to Klaus, Elijah wrapped an arm around him and led him inside before anyone else could say a word.
"Very scary, Elijah. I'm sure you would put me on the block," Kol chuckled but Elijah thought he saw a glimmer of doubt in Kol's eyes as his shoulders slumped. Maybe the Originals were going to implode sooner rather than later.
Thank you for reading, faving, following and for reviewing.

Guest: Thank you for voting and, sorry, but Damon is not up for elimination this week or next week.
Guest: Thank you for voting.
Redbudrose: Ch. 34: I thought it would be Kat but there was one extra vote that broke a tie. Ch. 35: Yes, I thought that Kat trying to find some friends amongst people who really dislike her would be fun to write about. Thank you for voting.
ObessWithElijah: Thank you, I am really happy that you enjoyed the chapter and thank you for your very through explanation of who should go home and why. I really enjoy it when people become as into the story as you seem to be so don't worry about leaving long reviews.
Vonpringle: Hey! That's okay. I mean I didn't get to update for two weeks due to my computer dying. Thanks for voting and I think we're going to see a lot of Original family drama before and after other characters say their good-byes to the house because this is just the beginning. Oh, and I'm glad that you enjoyed the jury house. We'll see more next Thursday when another member joins Stef, Lexi and Sage.
Rune Saint: I know. I had prepared the chapter so that Katherine was going home but then someone voted at the last minute and I had to rewrite part of the chapter. Thank you for voting.
Peace,
Jessica
