I followed Zach outside through the front doors as the flames grew steadily behind us, Cammies eyes were shut and she was bleeding heavily as Zach barrelled through the girls outside and laid her down on the floor where the girls watched from a distance as I raced over.
"Cammie?" Rachel called as she sprinted over, "Cammie!" She screamed again as Zach yelled over to the guards,
"We need bandages, and a nurse!" He screamed as Cammies eyes fluttered open, "Cammie, stay with us okay?" Zach said as Rachel held her head still and stroked Cammies soot covered face. A guard ran over with bandages and everything Zach would need for the bullet wound. "Joe, start on the ankle it's a clear break." Zach said,
"Cammie, just look at me okay? Just look at me." Rachel said as Cammie nodded, Zach moved beside her as he ripped her shirt open to get to the wound,
"I'm sorry Cam, this is going to hurt a bit. I am so sorry…" Zach said as he started to dig into her shoulder wound to try and pull the bullet out, I looked at Cams face to see her biting on her lip trying not to scream, blood started to roll down her chin where she had biten so hard.
"ARGH!" She screamed as Zach got deeper, "ZACH!" She screamed again as tears started to roll down her face, a guard came and pinned her arms down to stop her from clawing at Zach as he pulled out the bullet and wrapped it in a tissue.
"I'm sorry Gallagher Girl, I'm sorry," He said as he gently lifted her shoulder and started to pour alcohol into the wound to disinfect it, Cammie continued to cry out as I put my hands on her ankle and pushed it back into place. She let out an ear piercing scream as it clicked into place and the nurse handed me a splint as I eased her foot into it and tied it up. Zach had started to wrap the bandage around her shoulder as she sobbed, her tear filled eyes looking at her mum,
"Its going to be okay Cam, your safe now. Your safe." Rachel said as she continued to stroke cammies hair. Zach leant over Cammie and kissed her forehead,
"Its over now Cammie, Its over." He said holding her hand as her tears slowly died down,
"They got it Zach. They took the list of names… their going to go after Preston." She said as Zach looked her in the eye,
"I promise we will do everything we can to save him Cammie, but right now your more important." He said as a CIA ambulance pulled up and men in black got out of the cars following behind. The director walked over to Cammie,
"Ms Morgan, I'm so sorry, but you'll be okay now." He said as he walked over to Patricia, "Leave Rachel and Joe to go with Cameron to the hospital. You can fill in the blanks." He said as Patricia nodded and started to explain. Men in black surrounded cammie as they hoisted her onto a gurney and loaded her into the back. People from the town were starting to come down Highway 10,
"Sir, the town are heading down this way, they probably saw the smoke and the ambulance!" I called over to him, as he nodded,
"Okay, you know the drill and the story Joe, there was a fire in the science labs with dangerous chemicals, we're the team to clear it up." He replied as I nodded. I saw Rachel by the door of the ambulance as one boy ran up screaming Cammies name.
CPOV
Josh came running up to the Ambulance, "Oh my god, Cammie are you okay?" He asked as I nodded, "What happened?" He asked,
"Fire in the chem labs." I said, "Some seventh graders didn't put some chemicals back which are flammable and boom, up it went." I said as mum gave me an approving smile,
"What happened to your shoulder?" He asked pressing on,
"The force threw me back and I dislocated my shoulder." I said as he nodded,
"I hope your okay though?" He asked as I nodded,
"Thanks Josh." I said as mum, Zach and Joe piled in the back of the ambulance with me and the doors were shut as we drove off.
