Eden woke up on Sunday morning and was instantly cuddled back into the duvet. It was a horrible rainy day and Eden couldn't be bothered moving. She had been at a party last night and didn't get back until 11 then spent a good couple of hours on facetime to Jonah. She had took her father that she had been at her sister's.

Down stairs, Sam had just walked into the house.

"Hey, Dad" Sam shouted as she entered the kitchen.

"Hi Sam, Sam how come Eden didn't stay at yours last night? It's not like you to sent her home so late" George said

"What do you mean? I haven't seen Eden since Friday night" Sam said.

"She told me she went to yours last night, she arrived home at about 11" George said. Sam laughed as she realised that Eden had obviously gone out and was using Sam as her alibi.

"Where do you think she went?" George said.

"Probably a party, maybe to Jonah's" Sam said calmly.

"Eden!" George shouted and Eden came down the stairs a couple of minutes.

"Where were you last night?" George asked.

Eden sighed when she looked over at Sam noticing her with her head down feeling awkward in this situation.

"I was at a party" Eden said really slowly looking down unsure of what to do.

"Eden, I am so angry with you right now. Not only did you lie but you relied on someone else to lie as well" George shouted "Get to your room you are grounded"

Eden ran up the stairs as quickly as she could, scared that her dad would get angrier. Sam sat down with her dad and drank a cup of tea.

"Dad, can I go and see Eden, I'll try and find out what exactly went on last night" Sam asked and George nodded.

Sam ran up the stairs and walked into Eden's room. She didn't even knock. Eden was lying on her bed looking at the high ceiling. Sam came and lay beside her.

"So what did you do last night?" Sam asked.

"Nothing much" Eden said.

"I'm talking to you as your sister not as a parent figure" Sam said.

"I was just at a party" Eden said.

"What did you do?" She asked.

"Just dancing and talking the usual" Eden said and Sam nodded.

"So there was no drink" Sam asked.

"Well, yeah but I didn't have any" Eden said.

"Okay, as long as you didn't drink" Sam said and Eden nodded.

"Was Jonah at the party?" Sam asked and Eden nodded again.

"Yeah, but we didn't really spend a lot of time alone because if we do then people just assume we did it" Eden said and Sam nodded.

"God, does everyone do it" Sam said jokingly and Eden nodded.

"That is horrible" Sam said "They are 12 years old"

Eden just laughed.

"Right, that is enough. I am sick of your carelessness about things like this I'm going to show you something that will freak you out for life" Sam said storming off. She returned a couple of minutes later with her ipad and sat down.

She typed a couple of things into the computer.

"Do you want to end up like this" Sam said showing her a picture of a very young pregnant teenager. Sam then went onto youtube and found a video of a teenager giving birth.

"Sam, please I don't want to" Eden mumbled before Sam interrupted.

"I don't care Eden" Sam said. She continued to watch the film, Eden felt her stomach turn.

"Now, do you see the pain she is in" Sam asked and Eden nodded.

Sam then typed a couple of other things in onto google.

"And if you think it is cool to just have sex, well do you think about what could happen if you don't use protection" Sam said putting up horrific pictures of STDs.

"Sam, please stop. I'm going to be sick" Eden said.

"Be sick, I'm used to it" Sam said wanting her sister to get the point that this was serious. She flicked through a couple more pictures and Eden got up to move but Sam pulled her back down.

"Sam" Eden said desperately as she was about to be sick. She couldn't manage anymore and lounged forward throwing up into the bin. Sam was shocked that Eden had actually thrown up. She bent down and held her sister's hair back while rubbing her back reassuringly. Once Eden had finished being sick Sam pulled her into a hug.

"I'm so sorry, Sam, I understand what a massive deal this is now." Eden said crying into Sam.

"It's okay, baby. I'm sorry I made you throw up I just wanted you to understand" Sam said and Eden nodded.

"I'm glad you have shown me those pictures. It has given me a shock" Eden said.

"I'm glad baby, I'm going to tell you a story but you must never repeat this okay?" Sam said and Eden nodded.

"When I was 15, I was kind of in a bad place I was friends with the wrong kind of people. I was stupid and did some silly things. One night we went to a party and I got absolutely hammered. This boy in the year above me took complete advantage of me and we ended up having sex. I must have fallen asleep and when I woke up I was in a ditch with my pants around my legs. It was horrible I couldn't believe, it was a stupid thing to do and I really wasn't ready. I wasn't aware how serious sex was and I pray you never have to experience what I did" Sam said and Eden nodded. She held onto Sam as close as she could. Sam had tears in her eyes.

"I love you, Eden and I will do everything I possibly can to make life as easy as I can for you" Sam said. "You haven't exactly had the easiest of life and it's so unfair. Not one deserves to not have a mother to look after them"

"But I'm lucky to have you, and dad and the boys. Some people have no one" Eden said and Sam smiled so proud of Eden. She pulled her close again and held her until she pulled away slowly.
