A/N: I'm sorry that it has taken 8 months to update. I've been mentally blocked, and slowly working on editing other fics. This chapter took less time to write than I imagined and I think I may actually be able to write more now. Thanks for being so patient and not demanding chapters. This is for you, my lovelies and all your support.

Enjoy!

Chapter 13

The weekend was upon them, and Hermione couldn't be more excited. She was going to see Cedric today, and then together with her father they were going to Apparate to Diagon Alley to see Fred and George. It had only been a few weeks since she saw them last, but it felt like months to her.

Ginny was taking forever to get dressed, of course, Hermione had already been up and ready to go since sunrise. It was now only going on 9 o'clock. "Ginny," Hermione said, "aren't you ready yet?"

"We're not all like you Hermione," Ginny complained, "Give me a few moments to wake up. Besides Cedric isn't going to meet you till after breakfast anyway. That's not for another hour yet."

"You're right I'm sorry," Hermione said, "but I don't know if I can wait another hour."

"Sure you can," Ginny said. "You can do anything."

"I'll wait for you downstairs in the common room." Hermione said, "I'm sure that harry is already down there, Neville too."

"Tell them I'll be down shortly," Ginny said with one last stretch before getting up out of bed.

Hermione laughed lightly before turning and heading down to the common room.

When she entered the common room it was as she hoped, everyone was sitting around waiting for the girls to come down. There were a few that had left already by the looks of it.

"Good morning," Harry said, "Sleep well?"

"Yes," Hermione said.

"Anxious?" Harry asked.

"Just a bit," Hermione said, "I'm going to go ahead to breakfast, I'll see you there."

"Ok," Harry said with a smile as she hurried out of the portrait hole.

When Harry, Neville, Ginny and the rest of the gang made it down to breakfast, Hermione was already having a second cup of pumpkin juice and playing with the little bit of food left on her plate.

"Ready to go already I see," Ginny said from behind her.

Hermione laughed, "I can't help it," she said, "I want to see Cedric and the twins."

"But not Viktor?" Lavender asked.

"I want to see him too," Hermione said with a smile, "but he couldn't make it today. But he said he would send me a picture."

"Mmm," lavender said between bites, "You better share with the rest of us."

Hermione laughed,"We'll see."

The conversation continued on like that for a while. And it wasn't long before they were able to head to the carriages. Neville, Ginny, and Harry watched as a giddy Hermione ran to the carriages. She was so quick that they almost didn't make it to the carriage before it took off towards the village.

"You really are in a hurry aren't you Hermione?" Neville laughed as he put his arm around Ginny.

"Yes," Hermione admitted, "but only because Cedric is waiting for me."

"How do you know he's waiting for you?" Harry asked.

"I just know," she said with a smug smile.

Ginny had a sudden thought that she was hiding something from them. Ginny decided she would wait until they were back in the privacy of the girl's dorm to pester her friend with questions.

As they came closer to the village Ginny noticed that Hermione was right, Cedric was there waiting for her. Hermione bolted from the carriage before it had the chance to properly stop. Cedric caught her and twirled her around until they were both dizzy and practically falling over. Most of Hogsmeade ignored them and continued on with their business. Those that didn't ignore it wrote it off as young love and when about their business before smiling and remembering when they too were in love.

"Ah, young love," one of the shop ladies could be heard saying as she put out her signs.

"They're talking about us, love," Cedric whispered into her ear.

She laughed lightly at her mate's humor, "I'm sure once something better happens they will forget about us."

"I wish I could pull you into a dark closet and kiss you properly," Cedric whispered into her ear.

Hermione blushed before leaning into him and kissing his cheek. "Where should we go first?"

"That's up to you love," Cedric said.

"How about the bookstore then?" she asked.

"I should have known," he said, before taking her hand in his and pulling her into the store.

The Aurors watched on and stood guard from their many hiding places. With all that had gone on in the last year, the ministry was taking no chances when it came to the younger generations still in school.

Other more mysterious people watched on from the shadows. One must watch it's prey before pouncing after all.

It didn't take long for the others to catch up to Hermione and Cedric. Somehow he had gotten her into the Quidditch supply store, where they were looking at brooms. It wasn't that he needed a new broom, it was that he wanted a new broom.

"But you already have a broom," she said hands on her hips.

"But I don't have one of these," Cedric said while attempting to make puppy dog eyes at her.

"You've been spending too much time with the twins," Hermione smiled, "Oh if you must."

"Thank you," he said giddily.

"You know you don't need my permission," she said leaning into his shoulder to get a better view. It really was an attractive broom.

"Do you like it?" he asked, "Do you want one?"

Hermione shrugged off his questions with a nod of her head, "I don't want one; but I wouldn't go near Fred and George with one of those, they might snatch it from under your nose."

"Point taken," he said placing the broom back up on the shelf.

"Aren't you getting it?" she asked.

"Love if I purchased every broom I looked at with longing eyes, we would need a larger shed," he said with a laugh.

"Very true," She agreed.

They wandered from store to store, before picking up some trick chocolates for the twins. They met Remus and Tonks at the Hogs Head.

"Was there any trouble?" Remus asked.

"No Sir," Cedric replied.

"Are you ready to go see the meddling pranksters?" Remus asked amused.

"Yes," Hermione said with a laugh,

The small group apparated to Diagon Alley, where they proceeded to WWW meet the twins. When they go to Diagon ally, it seemed to be a baron wasteland of sorts; but to their surprise the joke shop was busy.

When they entered they were greeted by Lee and Verity a girl that Hermione wasn't quite familiar with were running the register and trying to stock at the same time. Hermione giggled before pitching in to help Lee with the product in his hands.

"Thanks," he said cheerfully, "the Twins are in the back."

"Would you like some help?" she asked, "you seem a bit busy."

"Nah," he said shrugging his shoulders, "this is normal."

"Alright," Hermione said before ducking into the back workroom behind the curtain, pulling Cedric along.

For Hermione, the twins were a sight for sore eyes. It had only been a couple weeks since she had seen them, but it had felt like much longer. Suddenly she wanted nothing more than to sift her fingers through both of their hair. She sighed longingly as she watched them work on potions. Diligently running back and forth as they went. Handing each other what they needed and stirring at the appropriate times. It was really quite fascinating to watch.

Hermione waited till they were finished with their potion before announcing herself. She wanted to commit to memory the vision before her.

"Hey Beautiful," Fred said snapping her out of her thoughts.

"Hey," Hermione smiled reaching out to him.

George came from behind and wrapped his arms around her waist, kissing her neck gently. Fred motioned for Cedric to join them. He took two steps and joined them in pleasing their mate.

Hermione was in pure bliss, the only thing that was missing was Viktor. She sent happy thoughts to him; even if there wasn't any proof that he was receiving them. She would send him a detailed letter later, and maybe they would spend some of the holidays together.

Some time later the shop closed for lunch. The whole group went to the Burrow for lunch, where Mrs. Weasley had lunch waiting for them. After lunch was finished they did a little more visiting and then the twins kissed Hermione goodbye before the twins, Lee and Verity returned to the store.

At the end of the day, Hermione sat in her bed writing letters, first to Viktor then to Fred and George, and finally to Cedric.

She laid in bed and daydreamed about the four of them together before falling asleep.

Hermione's mates dreamed of her too that night. The dreams weren't as strong as they were before the mating but they were still very vivid.
