"So, you want to go out with my daughter," Nate sighed, sitting down on the couch. Alex had, sure enough, shown up at the house, despite the fact that Ale didn't give him the address.
"I do, sir. I heard her song today in church, and with everything going on, it just really spoke to me. And after hearing your sermon and your story, what with Ale losing her mom and all, I just thought that she could help me through this tough time. And she could help me let God get me through this tough time," Alex sighed.
Ale, Sophie, Parker, and Hardison were all in Ale and Parker's room, listening in on the conversation while Ale finished getting ready.
"This boy is good," Sophie smiled.
"If I didn't know any better I would say he was a grifter himself," Hardison laughed, handing Parker another lock to jimmy open.
"Well, it should be an interesting evening, that's for sure," Ale shrugged, tying a ribbon into her hair. On the outside she looked like the perfect preacher's daughter, but underneath her dress was an outfit that would make a bad boy like Alex drool.
At least, that was Sophie's plan.
The team had decided that Alex was a good way into the behind the scenes of the church and to get a better idea of who could possibly be behind the drug scandal. He seemed like the type of boy to know things, and the team was eager to learn what he knew.
Ale was a little nervous for the plan. She had never been a rule breaker (except for little incurrences, like pranks and stuff like that). She was sassy as a teenager, but never rude or deliberately bad. In fact, she was a saint compared to the other kids in her class. Now, however, she was being forced to play a little hellion, and she wasn't sure she could pull it off.
Eliot was waiting in a rented car, being on watch the entire night. He was supposed to follow Ale and Alex, just to make sure everything was safe.
He was a little leery of the plan, as well. He wasn't sure if he wanted Ale going around with this kid. He was only twenty two but he acted like he was much older, and although Ale was a couple years older he was much bigger and much more, well, experienced.
Still, Eliot didn't want to ruin the good relationship he and Ale were building again so he kept his objections to himself and let Ale decide if she was okay with the plan. And when she did, he would make sure that she was safe, just like he would for all of the other teammates.
He would also make sure that this Alex character wasn't trouble. Well, more trouble than Ale could handle.
Ale made her way downstairs, Sophie giving her a few last words of encouragement before she went on her way.
Upon entering the living room Nate stood, Ale dutifully going to accept his kiss on the cheek.
"Do you know this young man, Grace?" Nate asked, Ale sitting down beside him on the couch.
"Alex Greenfield. I met him today. He is very sweet. And very in need of help, I believe," Ale said softly, smiling coyly at Alex.
"And that's why I would love the honor of taking your daughter out this evening. Just a simple dinner. Possibly a walk in the park after," Alex shrugged, Ale pretending to hide a laugh.
"I guess that would be alright," Nate nodded hesitantly.
"Thank you, Father," Alex nodded, shaking his hand. Ale gave Nate a kiss on the cheek, allowing Alex to lead her out of the house.
"Alright Eliot, they are heading your way. Let's figure this out, shall we?" Nate sighed, finally taking off his collar.
It was sure to be an interesting night.
LEVERAGE
Eliot watched as Ale and Alex exited the front of the house, Ale immediately taking the ribbon out of her hair, her long locks falling into voluptuous curls. Alex seemed a little surprised, taking the ribbon Ale handed to him. She then ripped off her sundress, a pair of daisy dukes and a tank top revealed. Ale made a few more modifications to her look, the tank top coming off and a sequined top with a swooping back covering her frame. While Ale transformed into something completely opposite from the church girl she had been playing, Alex watched, dumbfounded. For one last measure of surprise, Ale sipped off the bra she was wearing through the sleeve of her shirt, tossing that and all of her other clothing items into the bushes and pulling out a pair of cowgirl boots.
Ale looked like anyone's dream girl. Eliot had remembered many girls wearing outfits like Ale was wearing right now in his lifetime, but she was the only one who could pull it off without looking like a complete, well, slut. Instead, she revealed just enough to keep people interested, but not enough to reveal everything.
It was…well, a little distracting.
Alex also seemed to be happy with the way Ale looked, him standing stricken on the street.
"Well, church boy, are you going to take me out for this enchanting evening or is this outfit going to go to waste?" Ale said seductively, her voice coming clearly through comms.
"Nice job, Ale," Sophie smiled, happy with Ale's performance. "Now, keep it up."
Nate and Parker decided to take out their coms, as this part of the evening didn't really involve them.
Sophie, however, was extremely interested in how Ale was handling her little date. And how Eliot was handling the date.
It sure would be interested.
LEVERAGE
When Ale and Alex got to the bar, it already had a line outside its door.
"Ready to have a good time?" Alex whispered, Ale taking a deep breath. She hadn't been in an actual club like this in a long time.
Well, she had gone to dance clubs with Quinn, but that was different. This was bar, with a lot of drinking and a lot of loud music. She was 23 and kind of over the whole scene. In fact, she had never been into the scene. She had always been taking care of her family. She never had the desire to go and be wild.
Except for when she got her tattoos. But that was different.
"Are you sure you want to go through with this?" Alex asked, glancing down at Ale.
"I'm extremely positive. The real question is, are you ready to go through with this?" Ale asked, taking a deep breath as Alex got them to the front of the line and into the club.
With the music blaring and people all around them dancing and drinking, Ale was sure she could find something out about Alex.
