Chapter 35: A Missing Link
Last time, our heroes split into 3 groups to find the Pendants of Virtue. After meeting up in Castle Town, the regrouped team set of for Lost Woods to find the Master Sword. Let's see how they're doing navigating the enchanted maze.
Date: August 22, 2011, Time: 4:30 pm, Location: Lost Woods
"So much for this being easy. My mapping system is jammed." Megaman said after being sent back to the entrance twice.
"It can never be easy, can it? First, an insane jester & evil clone. Then, 9 fights with robots in a row. Then we get a battle with robot versions of all of us. Now this. Talk about an unlucky birthday trip." Matt noted.
"Oh, stop complaining. Imagine doing this almost every day for at least 900 years." The Doctor said.
"Fair enough. Although, I thought you liked adventures?"
"I do. But the main reason is traveling with friends like Rose."
"Thank you." Rose replied.
"If the both of you are done, what's the path so far?" Blaze asked.
"I believe it's right, left, straight, right, & 2 more straights." Link said. After being warped back again, "Scratch that. It's right, left, straight, left, & 2 more straights."
"Thanks for that, Link." Sonic said. After 3 more attempts & a fair amount of patience, they finally stumbled upon the Pedestal of Time. "God, that took forever. Let's grab the sword & get out of here."
"Agreed." Said everyone! While Link grabbed the hilt to pull it out, the Pendants floated above him, releasing the magic seal. Meanwhile, Matt saw something glisten in the grass & grabbed it. "Ooh. This looks useful. Might as well surprise everyone later. To the same place I keep my light sword with you!" Matt thought.
The long, metal object then disappeared in a quick flash. "What did you grab?" Sonic said as he walked toward Matt.
"Something that could prove useful. If I said the name, you wouldn't know what it is anyway."
"Fair enough."
"Shall we go?" Link asked with Master Sword in sheath.
"Right. To Castle Town, again." Matt said. They proceeded to beat some Deku Scrubs that attacked them. The aggressive ones attack anyone. So they didn't realize their mistake until it was too late.
