By the time you see this, you should know that I have listened to ten consecutive minutes of Nyan Cat and my mind is not yet mush. I'm not sure how long it'll stay that way...that was not relevant.

The Duke thought Toph was pretty. In fact, she was the second most beautiful person he had ever seen, except for his mother, who had died. He wished she could see, so she could see herself and how beautiful she was. Sure, the others were pretty, but not like her. She had an earthly beauty. So he reminded he reminded her of her prettiness every time he saw her and by the time he had grown out of his helmet and his voice finally settled, he decided he would keep reminding her, until she finally believed it to be true.
