Chapter 36

Never again.

xXx

I cried silence tears. I took up the Silmaril I had in my pocket but Elrohir stopped me. I looked up at him angry. "I have to," I whispered. He only shook his head. I took Legolas hand up to my face, kissing it. Letting my tears drop down on it. I looked up seeing Aragorn coming from the other door. He stood paralyzed looking at Legolas. A flash of light blinded my sight and I looked at where it came from. It came from Legolas hand. I must be dreaming. I looked at Legolas. He is coughing.

"Legolas?" He was squeezing my hand and he looked at me. I looked at the others, they saw he is alive. "You are alive," I said happy. Tears streamed down my eyes like a waterfall.

"Tiaashar…" He whispered. "Did I not tell you to not come here?" I smiled and I could not keep my laughter in. He winced and then I saw Elladan was taking care of the wound he had. "I am all right." He tried to sit up. But Eomer and I did not let him. I then saw Aragorn next to me. When did he come here?

"Will he be all right?" Aragorn asked. Elladan looked sceptical. "Elladan?" Elladan looked up at us two.

"He has lost a lot of blood, but he will be fine," Elladan said and smiled.

"Of course I will be fine," Legolas said and cough. I touched his chin and stroke it. "How are you?" He asked me worried and touched my belly.

"I am fine, knowing you will be," I said. "And so is our child. Don´t scare me like this again." I kissed his lips and lay my head on his chest.

"I won´t," he said. "I will never do it again."

I walked in to the tent Legolas and I was sharing. I had Eomer behind me, carrying the basket with food. I could have perfectly carried it myself. Legolas sat on his bed, no shirt on. He had a huge bandage over his wound. This is the second night we´re camping. Legolas looked up at us two.

"Someone had to carry the basket," Eomer said and placed the basket on the ground.

"I am not that pregnant yet," I said. They both looked at me and I placed my hands on my hips. "All right, fine, I am." My belly had grown and the healers said it won´t be long till the birth.

"How are you feeling?" Eomer asked Legolas.

"Better in a long time," he said. I took the two bowls and took some salad and fruit in it. "Thanks to Tiaashar." I looked at him.

"I think it is thanks to everyone who came to rescue you," I said.

"Well no matter how many Orcs you would had come anyway," Legolas said. I smiled.

"I am your wife." I gave him the bowl. "It is my job." I looked over at Eomer, he was gone. "Finally some privacy." No one had actually left us alone. In the night we both were just tired so we got some sleep. I sat down next to Legolas. I still could sit down by myself. "Something is wrong."

"Don´t lie to me," Legolas said and looked into my eyes. "Even it means saving my life. Don´t lie to me again." I touched his chin.

"I promise," I said. "I promise I won´t lie to you, ever." He smiled. "Never again." He kissed me on the corner of my lips. He pushed me down on my back. "You can´t," I said.

"Who says I can´t?" He asked.

"Your wound. We won´t get halfway through before you need a break," I teased. His fingers went to my side where I was must tickled. I tried to hold it but I let the laughter come out. "Legolas!"
