Sometimes, as he was walking to school, or home from the store, he would see a mother walking hand-in-hand with her daughter or son, and he would stop, just to watch them. Sometimes the little one would be crying about something; a food they didn't like, a toy they didn't get, and the mother would get angry and shake their arm to try and make them stop. It made him frown. What would she do if her baby suddenly ran out into the road and was taken from her? She wouldn't treat it so roughly if she'd thought of that.
