"That bastard better not hurt my daughter and wife!" Roars Fergus in anger.

Mor'du goes to attack Merida but she starts shooting arrows at it and it starts chasing after her, Elinor then helps her to escape and they make a run for it and manage to escape.

Everyone sighs in relief.

Merida turns to her mother, frantic. 'Mom, we need to get back to the castle. If we don't hurry, you'll become like Mor'du! A bear! A real bear! Forever! Mend the bond torn by pride. The witch gave us the answer. The tapestry!" Merida and Elinor sneak back into the castle and as they peak into the Great Hall they see that Fergus and the lords are fighting again, Merida tries to stop them and walks into the middle of the room and tells them the story of the ancient kingdom and the selfish prince.

Elinor smiles softly "so you did listen."

Merida continues facing then all. "Yours was an alliance forged in bravery and friendship and it lives to this day. I've been selfish. I tore a great rift in our kingdom. There's no one to blame but me. And I know now that I need to amend my mistake and mend our bond. And so, there is the matter of my betrothal. I decided to do what's right, and…" As she looks around the room she notices Elinor in the background trying to stop her. "And…and break tradition." She looks over at Elinor, who is miming what Merida should say as Merida repeats it to the crowd. 'My mother, the queen, feels…uh, in her heart, that I…that we be free to…write our own story. Follow our hearts, and find love in our time."

"She's right" smiles Rapunzel to Flynn who smiles back.

We see the lords are all now crying, moved. Merida continues "the queen and I put the decision to you my lords. Might our young people decide for themselves who they will love?" Lord looks confused while Lord Macintosh looks up at Merida. "Well, since you've obviously made up your minds about this, I have one thing to say. This is…"

He is than interrupted by Young Macintosh "A grand idea! Give us our own say in choosing our fates?" Young Dingwall nods in agreement "aye! Why shouldn't we choose?" We assume Young Macguffin agreed two but his accent was so thick it was hard to tell. There fathers look confused but than agree

"Well, that's it. Let these lads try win her heart before they win her hand, if they can!" Says Lord Macguffin.

The young lords smile "thanks princess" they chorus. Merida smiles back "no problem."

"Fine then! Seems for once we agree! It was my idea in the first place." Says Lord Macintosh as Fergus pulls Merida aside. "Just like your mom, you devil."

Elinor gets up from her seat and goed to where Merida is looking sorry which Jack notices and moves his seat to sit beside Rapunzel allowing Elinor to sit by her daughter.

Merida turns and notices a guard staring at Elinor's frozen pose as a stuffed bear and tries to distract everyone. "Everyone! To the cellar! Lets crack open the king's private reserves to celebrate!" Eeryone cheers and start heading for the cellar. Fergus tuns to one his servants and whispers "bring them tiny glasses."

Everyone facepalms except the Vikings who nod in agreement with Fergus.

They all leave the Great Hall and Merida goes to Elinor and does a little dance of joy before realizing they have to mend the tapestry. In the tapestry room Merida touches the tear in her mothers tapestry. "Mend the bond. Mend the bond! Stitched up! This will change you back, we just needle and thread."

"You know this feels way to easy." Comments Hiccup.

As Elinor goes to look for needle and thread she suddenly turns wild and bear-like again. "Mom! Mom, not now! No! Please, not now! Mom!" Merida hears Fergus' laughter outside the room and tries to quieten Elinor. Fergus goes to look for her and finds Merida in the tapestry room with Elinor who's turned wild. He goes to attack the bear not realizing its Elinor. "Dad, no! It's not what you think!" Cries Merida as she tries in vain to stop him. However as Fergus goes to strike Elinor and she hits him and knocks him out.

"Nevermind!" Yells Hiccup.

At that moment Elinor snaps out of her wild behavior, she notices the claw mark on Merida's dress and feels ashamed."It's alright. I'm alright. It's nothing. It's just a little scratch!" Says Merida trying to reassure her but fails as Elinor runs out of the room and gets spotted by the lords, she quickly makes it out of the castle grounds as they start to attack her, back in the castle Fergus comes to. "Oh, count your stars, lass. It almost had you. Are you hurt?" Asks Fergus worriedly, Merida tries to explain the bear is Elinor but he wont believe her.

"You know things would be alot easier if parents just listned to their kids." Says Sparky, the kids all agreeing.a

"It's the truth! There was a witch and she gave me a spell. It's not Mor'du!" Says Merida but Fergus won't listen. "Mor'du or not, I'll avenge your mother! I'll not risk losing you!" He yells as he locks her in the tapestry room and goes after Elinor.

Fergus looks down ashamed "aye...I should've listened." He only hoped Merida would be able to stop him in time.

After getting locked in the tapestry room and finding no way out, Merida starts crying and tries to call out to Maudie for help, then she notices three little bears coming out of the shadows which she realizes are triplets have been turned into little bear cubs after eating what remained of the witch's tart. "Maudie!" Yells Merida, Maudie goes to her but notices the three little bears and screams with terror and Merida intructs the triplets "get the key." Maudie hides the key down her dress and then runs off in terror as the triplets go after her.

Maudie shivered, those kids would be the end of her one of these days.

After the triplets help her escape, and Merida patches up the tapestry along the horse ride to the Ring of Stones, they find that Fergus and the lords have captured Elinor. Just as Fergus is about to strike Elinor, Merida stops him by shooting her arrow at his sword. "Get back! That's my mother!" She yells at her father who once again doesn't believe her "

Are you out of your mind, lass?" Merida looks at Elinor in worry "Mom, are you hurt?" Suddenly Fergus knocks Merida out of the way and goes to strike Elinor again when Merida grabs hold of a sword and stops him. "Merida!" He yells in shock as she she pushes her father back.

"Go on, lass!" Yells Fergus with everyone even Elinor cheering her. Merida smiles a bit.

She faces her father, determined and standing infront of Elinor protectively. " I'll not let you kill my mother!" Than the triplets jump on top of Fergus but at that moment Mor'du appears. "Mor'du!" Yells Merida in shoch as Fergus shouts to the lords. "Kill it!" They all go after Mor'du and start attacking him, the bear then captures Merida, when Elinor notices this she breaks free from her ropes and attacks Mor'du, she smashes him against a stone pillar which then cracks and crushes him to death, then the spirit of the prince is released and he nods to Elinor and Merida to thank them before disappearing.

"And now he's free from the spell." Said Sparky sadly, "must've been horrible to be stuck like that for so long but atleast now he's at peace."

After Mor'du is killed, Merida notices the sun has risen. "The secon sunrise!" She yells, running and grabbing the tapestry that she's mended and throws it around Elinor, but realizes nothing's happening. "

Oh, no! I don't understand. I…" Merida begins to cry and kneels in front of Elinor. "Oh, mom, I'm sorry. This is all my fault. I did this to you, to us." She tearfully hugs Elinor. "You've always been there for me. You've never given up on me. I just need you back. I want you back, mommy. I love you."

Elinor hugs Merida close like she would when Merida was young. "I love you to, I was to caught up in what I wanted you to be to see just how amazing you are. Being your mother comes first and I will never forgett that, listen to me and I will

listen to you." Merida begins to cry tears off happiness as her mother holds her close. Sparky smiles softly "there we go."

As the sunrise washes over them, Merida feels her mothers touch on her hair and looks up to see Elinor had turned human again. "Mom! You're back!" Elinor hugs Merida and kisses her face repeatedly. "You've changed!" She says shocked, Elinor smiles "oh, darling. We both have."

Elinor kisses Merida again and Fergus comes up running towards them. "Elinor!" He hugs both Merida and Elinor, then grabs Elinor and kisses her on the mouth as the lords come towards them, Merida notices her mom is naked under the tapestry.

Elinor turns red in embarrassment.

"Oh, mom!" Gasps Merida as Elinor turns to Fergus "ooh! Um…dear?" He looks up at her and she continues. "I'm naked. Naked as a wee baby...Well don't just stare! Do something!" Fergus turns and notices the lords have comes upon them and quickly holds his hands in front of Elinor. "Back your eyes, lads! Show some respect!" The lords turn their backs,suddenly the three triplets, now human again, run over to Merida and Fergus… naked! Fergus laughs and catches one of them, holding him up. "Now that's what I call a wee naked baby!"

Everyone smiles as the last part if the movie shows up. "We should ride together sometime" smiles Elinor and Merida smiles "ok but if its a race i'll win."

Elinor, Merida, and Fergus are now bidding the lords farewell as they return home. Merida's voice is herd once again. "Some say fate is beyond our command, but I know better. Our destiny is within us. You just have to be brave enough to see it." We see Merida rides off through the forest with her Elinor, making their bond stronger as the screen fades to black.
