More guests arrive at the Wedding, more surprises for Clara...

It was all going splendidly thought the Doctor as he left Clara to pick up the next guests. She was mixing really well with all his various friends, and it was nice that she and River had got on so well. All in all it couldn't have gone much….

"Arrgghhhh!" cried out a voice that sounded worryingly like Clara's. The Doctor rushed back.

"It's a box, with a head in it" cried out Clara in a hysterical voice. "A head in a box, like a jack in the box, but a real head."

"Oh, that's Dorium!"

"What?"

"Hello Dorium, having a good time?"

"Yes thank you Doctor, nice to get out of that room."

Clara regained her composure.

"Doctor, why have you invited a head to our wedding?"

"Well, Dorium doesn't get out much these days."

"Yes, losing one's body does rather restrict the possibilities of sightseeing."

"But how come he's alive?"

"Oh the box keeps him alive, and there's a chip in his head to connect with the local Wi-Fi, so he's able to keep himself amused."

"Is he ok though?" continued Clara, "I mean he's a bit of a funny colour?"

"Oh that's his normal colour" replied the Doctor, "He was like that before, his er thingy…"

"Before my head was cut off! Those blasted headless monks, and all to rescue Melody Pond."

"Who's Melody Pond?"

"Amy and Rory's baby, River Song."

"You knew River Song since she was a baby?"

"Yes, no. I er lost contact with her, it was all complicated."

At that moment Clara Oswin Oswald reappeared.

"I'll er be off, more guests" mumbled the Doctor as he escaped back to the TARDIS.

"Who was that you were talking to?"

"Oh nobody" replied Clara ushering Clara Oswin away from Dorium, who stuck his tongue out at them as they left.

"Just popped inside to see how my husband was getting on. How's the day been for you?"

"Fascinating. There's a lot to learn about the Doctor, 2000 years of history is a lot to catch up on!"

Clara then looked across at the heavy clothing Clara Oswin was wearing, when all she was wearing was a light summer dress.

"Aren't you hot in all that formal clothing?"

"It's what I'm used to. I felt most uncomfortable in those clothes I borrowed from you, I felt a bit indecent!"

They were then interrupted by the sound of two children

"Clara!"

"Your twin sister Oswin?"

It was Angie and Artie followed by a stressed looking George Maitland and the Doctor.

"Hello Angie, Artie, George" spoke Clara. "Enjoy the trip?"

"I will certainly never forget this day in a hurry" replied George with a smile on his face. "The children haven't stopped talking about this for weeks, and I can now understand why."

"This planet is so cool!" enthused Artie. "I love the robots!"

Angie looked at Clara Oswin.

"You're definitely the one we saw that photo of, the one in Victorian London."

"I might be" replied Clara Oswin carefully.

"So the Doctor has been two timing with your sister, very sneaky!"

"Angie" interrupted Clara, "This is the person who you saw before, but she isn't my sister; that was something I made up. This is Clara Oswin Oswald, she's a fragment, er an identical copy of me, who lives in Victorian London."

"An identical copy?"

"Yes, it's complicated. There are two others here at the wedding as it happens."

"So which one of you did he meet first?"

"Out of all the remaining Claras I met Clara Oswin first" replied the Doctor, "But then she died. I knew though that something strange was going on, something impossible, so I looked for Clara and found her at your house. Your Clara, my Clara is the original."

"So how come Victorian Clara is alive if she died?"

"Time was rewritten."

"And what was she doing at Clara's flat? Did we interrupt something? Clara's cute, so two of them together must be something else!"

"Angie!" exclaimed George Maitland. "I'm really sorry; she's growing up so fast."

"For your information Angie" spoke Clara with a smile, "We were showing Clara Oswin how I lived in modern London."

"Completely fascinating" replied Clara Oswin.

"Clara" continued Angie, "The Doctor always used to take you out on Wednesdays, did he go out with your copies the rest of the week?"

"No, er the copies didn't exist then; they only came back to life later."

"And of course" added the Doctor, "As a time traveller I didn't actually have to wait a whole week before seeing Clara again!"

"Cheat!" exclaimed Clara with a laugh.

"These copies of you" added Artie, "They're completely identical?"

"Yes, like looking in a mirror. Identical DNA, and they are also very similar to me in the way they behave and think as well. Well apart from one."

Clara exchanged glances with the Doctor before continuing.

"Clara Oswin is now married, with two step children. Perhaps you would like to meet them, Francesca and Digby. Two Victorian children."

"Wow, that would be brilliant!" exclaimed Artie,

"Come with me" replied Clara Oswin with a smile. "Hello mates!"

Angie and Artie laughed as they left with Clara Oswin, while the Doctor made his excuses and left to collect some more guests.

"George" continued Clara once they had left, "How's your current nanny getting on?"

"Oh she leaves next week, it's all quite worrying really, since you left I can never seem to keep nannies for very long. I think you were a hard act to follow."

"Oh I wouldn't say that" replied Clara with an embarrassed smile.

"You were very good with them. And you had an alien boyfriend, which isn't something that any of your successors could boast. In an ideal world I'd have you back, but I think you've got other plans now!"

"I'm afraid so."

Clara then smiled.

"I might just have an answer to your problems, leave it with me."

Clara and George were then interrupted by the Doctor.

"Sorry to butt in, a bit of a problem."

Clara made her apologies and left with the Doctor.

"It's your father, he refuses to travel in the TARDIS unless you are there as well. I think you'd better come with me."

Clara sighed and joined the Doctor as they flew back to Blackpool.

"Clara!" exclaimed Dave Oswald as he rushed across to hug her, "I need you to confirm to me, honestly, is this safe?"

"Perfectly safe!" replied Clara. "I've never had a moment of doubt or worry with the Doctor."

Not entirely true she thought, but not the time to read out aloud the small print.

"Can we finally go then?" exclaimed an exasperated Gran, "Your father can be a right wet blanket at times!"

"Ok" replied a nervous Dave Oswald.

Clara gave the thumbs up to the Doctor, who returned the TARDIS to Qudochi.

The TARDIS set in motion, Dave Oswald covering his eyes to the amusement of everyone else. Once it landed, the Doctor and Clara strode towards the door.

"You'll love it here!" exclaimed Clara. "A lovely planet and an amazing selection of guests, all really friendly."

As they stepped out of the TARDIS, the first 'person' they met was Strax though. Dave, Linda and Gran recoiled in shock.

"W-what is that thing?"

"He's hideous!"

Strax was oblivious to their reactions though.

"Boy, who are these human scum?"

"Strax, these are my family" replied an exasperated Clara. Of all the 'people' to meet first…

"People who are like you, but not the same, being older and younger, that you have some sort of bond with, but not in that yukky way you have with the Doctor or Madam has with Miss Jenny?"

"Yes, er something like that."

"What all of them? Even this old and haggard boy?" Strax pointed at Gran.

"Strax!"

"Sorry, old and haggard girl. I always get that confused."

"Strax, that is my grandmother. Actually, why am I trying to reason with a Sontaran! I'm sorry Gran, he can't help it."

Clara went to hug Gran.

"Oh, that's alright dear, I've been called worse. What's a Sontaran?"

"The master race, we Sontarans are waiting for the moment when we will wipe you feeble human scum from the face of the universe, on the day we take complete control! I hope you are looking forward to the wedding."

At that moment Madam Vastra interrupted them.

"Ah there you are Strax, I was wondering where you had got to. Hello Clara, he's already destroyed one of the robots, as it was looking at him in a funny way. I need to keep him in my sights at all times!"

Vastra led him away.

"Clara" asked a stunned Linda, "That woman, she was green and scaly."

"That's because she's a lizard!" exclaimed the Doctor. "Been around for 65 million years on earth."

"Don't worry" Clara spoke carefully to her nonplussed family, "All the other guests are human."

Clara led everyone away, unfortunately to where Dorium had been placed.

"There's a head in that box!" exclaimed Linda.

"Clara, are you sure you know what you're doing, "added Dave, "This all seems really alien and dangerous."

"Oh don't worry" Clara lied, "That's not an actual head. Come , I'll introduce you to some other guests."

"Looked real to me."

"Maybe a trick, an illusion. Ugly, fat fellow though!"

"I heard that!"

Dave, Linda and Gran all looked at Clara in shock, who decided that the best explanation was no explanation, so continued walking. Down the corridor, Clara met some people she hadn't seen before. The Doctor introduced them.

"Ah, you haven't met, this is my bride to be Clara Oswald and her family, please meet Craig and Sophie."

"Lovely to meet you" spoke Clara.

"Hello Clara" replied Craig, "I never thought I'd get to see the Doctor again, and to be at his wedding as well. Wow."

"I do love a nice wedding" added Sophie, "You'll be a beautiful bride."

"At last some normal people" added Dave, slightly relaxing. "I was beginning to think everyone here would be an alien. What's your boy called?"

"He's called Stormageddon!" interrupted the Doctor, "Dark Lord of All!"

I think Dave Oswald will eventually get used to the Doctor!

Angie and Artie briefly met Clara Oswin Oswald back in Chapter 3 (Clara calling her Oswin) in case you've forgotten, which would be entirely understandable.

Thanks for the reviews, the next Chapter will be the last before the wedding...
