Some KinKim for y'all!
Kin checked his watch for the umpteenth time 'Where is she?' he looked around. He was sitting on a chair in the library at school, he had a computer in front of him and he boredly tapped on the keyboard as he waited.
He heard a door open behind him and turned to it and smiled "What took you so long?" He teased. Kim took a seat beside him and threw her bag to the ground "I had to make sure no one was following me." Kim responded and playfully punched his arm. The two of them decided to meet up after school in the library to work on their projects, plus no one was around so they could be friends without worry.
The two of them brought out their homework and proceeded to finish and help each other with their work. They worked hard for an hour until Kin yawned "Need a break Kin-kun?" Kim asked. Kin shrugged it off and continued typing "Nah, I gotta finish this before morning." He told her. Kim grinned to herself, she admired his determination to work even when he was tired.
"What about you Kim?" Kim was woken out of her thoughts at the sound of Kin's voice "You seem to be drifting off every now and again." Kin observed. "Nah, its nothing. I guess I'm just daydreaming." Kim answered him. "Night dreaming." Kim blinked in confusion "Huh?" "You cant be daydreaming when its not day, so your night dreaming." Kin explained. "Ha ha." Kim laughed sarcastically.
Kin took a quick peak at his partner when she wasn't looking, he was curious about why she was daydreaming so much when they worked together. She didn't do it when they first started. but lately he seemed to notice her staring into the distance, deep in thought. "Nee Kim-chan?" Kin asked and the girl turned her head away from her book and to the boy sitting in front of the computer. "Nani?" she asked in her cute Japanese voice "What have you been thinking about lately?" Kim's face flushed as she avoided eye contact. "N-nothing! Just...stuff..." she tried to excuse herself.
"Kim." Kin spoke firmly. Kim gulped, knowing that answer wasn't good enough for him "Fine...I've been thinking about someone." she confessed "Who? Konnie?" Kin guessed. Kim shook her head 'no' "It's...a guy." Kim hesitated.
The bespectacled boy cringed at her words "Oh...do you...like this guy?..." he pulled his eyes away from her and hesitated with his words. He didn't want to ask that though, he really dreaded the answer "Uh..." Kim stopped herself, then shot back "Wh-why do you care?" she pulled her hair over her shoulder so he wouldn't notice her reddening face.
Her words caught him off guard and he remained silent. Without words, he went back to his work. She could tell that he seemed really annoyed at her 'Maybe...nah.' she brushed that thought out of her mind and buried her face into her textbook once more.
The room was silent, but one could easily feel the tension within the air. The two scientists worked on their own and avoided talking to each other for a long time. Kin finished his work and began to log off the computer. "Your leaving?" Kim broke the silence "...yeah." Kin answered, neither dare look at each other.
Kin was about to grab his bag when her voice cut through the air once more "You never answered my question." she said. Kin stopped himself from grabbing his bag and stood with his back to her "It's not important." he excused himself "You can stop acting like you don't care and just tell me why you seemed so down about me thinking about a guy." Kim told him "I think that seems to answer my question, you do like him don't you?!" Kin's voice began to rise in frustration. Kim closed her book loudly and stood to face him "So what if I like someone!? What's wrong with that!?" Her voice rose as well.
The atmosphere began to get harsher as they shouted at each other "So you admit it!" Kin shouted "Yeah! I do admit it! Now will you tell me why the heck my love life is so important to you?!" Kim shouted back "Not till you stop being so stubborn!" "Your the one that's being stubborn!" "Well maybe I'm only being stubborn because your being difficult!" "I'm not being difficult! Your keep dodging my questions!" "I'm not dodging anything!" "Yes you are! You just blew up at me for liking someone!" "Well your the one that started this fight!" "See you keep dodging the question!" "Fine, you want an answer!" Kin shouted.
He grabbed her arms and pulled her forward and pressed his lips against hers. Kim was shocked to say the least. Kin broke away quickly and shouted "How's that for an answer!" he stormed off. Kim reached arm out to him and looked at him with wide eyes "Wait!" she chased after him.
Kin trudged through the empty hallways, "Chotto matte!" Kim came up and grabbed his arm. "Kin...do you really feel that way about me?" she asked hopefully. Kin let out a exhausted sigh and turned around "Yes." his answer was short and simple. Kim's face grew into a big smile, Kin stared at her confused "What?" Kim grabbed his hands and began to speak "I never told you who the boy I like was." the wheels in Kin's head clicked as he processed her words "...Me?" he asked. Kim gave him a nod.
All the anger they felt was completely gone as the two keyboardists leaned in and shared another kiss. This one was sweeter and longer than the last. Eventually they parted and looked into each others brown eyes "Never thought I'd find myself in love with a Newman." Kin grinned "Same here, you realize though our bands would kill us if they knew." Kim reminded him "Who says they need to know, we kept our friendship hidden, we can hide a relationship too." Kin reasoned.
