Daryl finished with his stitches the next morning and they headed back to the house. Angel let a very frightened Daisy out of the garage and hooked her to the bannister of the porch with a long rope so she could walk around. Following Daryl upstairs to their room she stretched, which he took the opportunity to wrap his arms around her waist, "You alright?"

"Slightly tired, I kinda was up all night." She laughed relaxing into his arms.

"That's aint the alright I meant." He looked down at her.

"I'm fine. I'm used to fighting for my home." She moved some of his hair out of his face, "I think it actually helped me get the last bit I needed out of my system."

"Really?" He asked a small smile tugging at his lips.

"Really." She reassured him and he pressed his lips to hers. They were the only ones in the house and he wasn't going to let that opportunity go to waste. She laughed and pulled away, "Daryl, as much as I love you, you reek and I'm covered in walker guts."

"Then shower with me." He held the back of her head.

She started to smile, "Kill two birds with one stone."

He kissed her deep before taking her hand and leading her out into the hallway and to the bathroom. Once there he shut the door and she smiled as he kissed her again as she started unbuttoning his shirt and pushing it from his arms. When his shirt was off he pulled hers over her head and she started working on his pants as he started the water. Daryl took her hair down and tangled his fingers in it as his other hand undid her jeans. His tongue tangled with hers as the bathroom filled up with steam from the water and she quickly took off her bra, only separating from him as they stepped into the shower.

The hot water cascaded down their sore muscles, blood and dirt flowing off of them as they wrapped their arms around each other, locked in their kiss. Angel separated their mouths after a moment and looked up at him, those crystal blue eyes looking back down at her and she smiled, pushing his now wet hair from around his face, "Hate to say it but you worried me."

"I was worried about you too. About what would happen if we lost this place." He ran his hand down her back, feeling the scars on it as he reached her ass, "I knew I'd find you kickin ass though."

"The ass I'd have kicked would have been yours had you not shown up when you did." She smiled up at him and she looked at the rash on his arms from his wreck, "Next time try to stay on your bike."

"Yes ma'am. Now, turn around." He said as he grabbed the bottle of shampoo on the shelf. Squirting some of the liquid into his hand he rubbed them together before running it through her hair. He massaged her scalp with it then moved it down her locks which made it halfway down her back. Kissing her shoulder he whispered in her ear, "And you say mines gettin' long."

"Maybe I should get it cut soon." She looked back towards him, "But our hair cutter just…well she's gone."

"I'm sure someone else could do it." He moved her back to wash the suds from her hair. Once they were gone she turned back around and took the bottle for herself, and washed his hair a smile on her face as she did and he looked down at her, "What's so funny?"

"Nothing, it's just been a while since we've taken a shower together." Her eyes met his before she ran her finger down the chain of her dog tags around his neck.

"Atlanta." He murmured with a smile, remembering them in the shower together for the first time. As the water rinsed the soap from his hair he slipped the dog tags from his neck and put them back over her head. Daryl tangled them in his hand before cupping the back of her neck and kissing her, something he hadn't done back then despite wanting to. She smiled as his tongue slipped back into her mouth and she wrapped her arms around his shoulders. He pushed her against the wall and she gasped as her back went against the cold tile. Taking the opportunity he kissed down her jaw to her neck and began to suck on the skin as she wrapped one of her legs around his hip allowing him access to her. He slowly pushed inside of her and she moaned from pleasure, allowed to make noise since no one was in the house. It had been since the guard tower that he had gotten to hear her make noises like the ones she was making as he thrust in and out of her. Grabbing her thigh he made it back to her mouth, their kiss sloppy as pleasure coursed through them. His name exited her throat through their kisses and he knew she was close and picked up his speed as her arms held him tightly.

When he released into her he didn't let her go, keeping her in his arms for a moment longer. Their breathing returning to normal she ran her hand over his cheek and smiled at him, "Everything…everything's okay now."

He nodded and gave her one last kiss before they finished their shower and got dressed.

She'd kept her dog tags, Daryl stating that they didn't have to worry about them being on a walker anymore. Food was running low, but Daryl and Rick kept searching and she kept hunting. They laid in bed, the sun coming through the window and they could hear music playing from down the hall. Angel rolled over in his arms and gave him a light kiss, "Sure you don't want me to come today?"

"Nah, we ain't been findin anything anyways." He ran his hand down her cheek, "Anything you want me to keep an eye out for?"

Thinking for a moment she remembered, "I am out of birth control next week. Denise says she's been going through the stocks but hasn't found anything yet. Either that or we need to have a conversation."

"I'll see what I can find." He said and she nodded, "Anything else?"

"Fruit." Angel answered and he gave her a confused looked, "I don't care if it's in a can, I'm just sick of vegetables. I want something sweet and juicy."

"Oh yeah?" He had a small smile and rolled her onto her back, "You tryin' to say I'm ain't sweet and juicy?"

She laughed as he kissed her, "You're from Georgia, but I wouldn't call you a peach."

"I'll show you." He kissed her again and she smiled wrapping her arms around his shoulders before there was a knock at the door. Daryl let out a sigh and she just gave him a pat on the shoulder.

Getting up and answering the door she saw Michonne, "Hey what's up?"

"You got any toothpaste?" She asked.

"This is the third time this week." Angel laughed heading to the nightstand.

"Well if you wouldn't hide it from me then I wouldn't have to come interrupt your mornings." The woman joked seeing Daryl still laying in the bed.

"The reason I have any left is because I hide it from you." Angel smirked as she walked back over to the door and handed her the tooth paste, "I expect it back."

"Don't worry." Michonne smiled at her before walking away.

Sitting back down on the bed she couldn't stop her smile as Daryl pulled her down so her head was laying on his chest, his arm laying over her stomach as she looked at him, "Be careful out there today."

"I will." He ran a hand down her side, fingers gliding over the fabric of her top, "You goin huntin again today?"

"Yeah. Even if it's little animals it's something for us to eat." She nuzzled closer to him, "I'm taking Sophia and Aaron out to help teach them some more."

"They gettin any good at it?"

"Yeah, it's not the same as with you though." Angel ran a hand down his arm.

Daryl sighed, "Runs with Rick aint like the ones with you either, he likes this damn CD and it drives me nuts."

"Well we gotta do what we gotta do." She laughed at him.

"Easy for you to say, you aint bein tortured." He looked down at her.

"I'm sure it's not that bad." She moved over and gave him a quick kiss, "We should get dressed."

"We should." He kissed her again.

"Come on, get up." She laughed pulling him up and he gave her another kiss before they moved from the bed.

As they walked down the steps of the house she gave him one last kiss, "See you tonight."

"Yeah." He responded as they separated.

"Gross." Glenn joked from his own porch and Angel flicked him off.

"Whatever Mr. Put a Bun in Maggies Oven." She responded and he laughed, "Sure you don't want to join the hunting class?"

"Nah, I'm gunna help Maggie with the gardening." He told her.

"Good man." She smiled, "When we get back I'll help out too. I know mostly livestock but my grandma had some crops."

"Sounds good. I know Maggie wouldn't mind the second opinion." He smiled at her and she gave him a wave.

Walking around the side of the house she called out, "Hey Soph, you ready?"

"Yeah!" The girl called back bringing a bow they had made her as well as Angels bow and their arrows.

"Kay, let's go get Aaron." Angel took her bow and arrows before putting an arm around Sophias shoulder, them waving good bye to Carol who could see them through the window.

They met Aaron at his house and the three of them set off into the woods, waving goodbye to Michonne on watch duty. They made their way into the tree line and Angel asked, "Okay, so who remembers what we do first?"

"Check our traps." Aaron answered.

"Good. Sophia, why?"

"So that way if they were set off we can get the animal out and reset it to check for when we're on our way back so that way we might be able to catch even more." The girl told her.

"You two are definitely top of the class." She said and they both smiled.

The three made their way to their traps and got what game was there and reset them. She helped them work on their form for shooting when they would spot an animal, teaching them tricks for shooting birds. Half way through the day they stopped and split the two cans of vegetables they had brought before continuing on. They never found any big game while they were out but they had acquired a decent amount of small animals, not enough to feed their people for very long though.

When they got back Sophia went to spend time with her mom while Angel and Aaron skinned the animals. She noticed Maggie out in the field where they were planting the crops despite the sun going down. It was dark by the time she and Aaron finished, Eric having come out and sat with them while they worked and helped them take the meat to be inventoried and some of it cured. Walking back to their house she spotted Rick and Daryl having returned carrying a man that was tied up. She walked over, "We have a guest?"

"Yeah, he ain't stayin though." Daryl said as they walked and she could tell he did not like this man but it still made her smile. She walked with them to Denises house and knocked on the door for Rick and helped get the man inside and tied up. After he had been looked over they placed him in the holding room with a water and a cookie and she went outside with them. Daryl looked at the two of them, "Imma keep an eye on him."

Rick nodded and headed back to the house. She smiled at him, "So what'd he do to piss you off?"

"Tried to take a whole van of stuff we found." Daryl told her.

"Well then where is it?" Angel looked back not seeing a van anywhere.

"The bottom of a lake." He answered.

Angel let out a laugh, "Well shit. I'm sorry I missed that."

"Yeah…pissed me off." He replied and she gave him a kiss.

"You keep watch over our guest, I'm gunna go take a look at the garden, I told Glenn I would." She told him.

"Kay." He replied before holding her for another, longer kiss, "I'll find you when someone comes to take over."

"You better." She smirked.

She was with Maggie and Glenn in the garden when they noticed Denise and Abraham rushing off. The three of them followed suit and when they realized the man that Daryl and Rick had brought back was missing they went to where the guns were first, knowing that's where someone wanting to attack them would go first but he wasn't there. They made their way back to their house thinking the man had gone after Rick and when they arrived they saw Jesus sitting on the stairs, Carl behind them and Rick and Michonne finishing getting dressed. Angel looked at Michonne with a smirk and an amused eyebrow raise. She only got a small unsure smile back from the woman.

While Jesus told them who he was Angel kept her hand on Daryls, keeping him calm during the conversation, knowing he didn't trust new people and he was validated in that distrust but Rick and the others wanted to hear him out so they did. He told them he would take them to his settlement, to a place called Hilltop to meet with their leader Gregory and they began prepping to leave.

On the road she and Daryl sat in the back of the RV and part way through he pulled out an oatcake from his pocket and broke it in half, "Denise made it for me."

"Look at you making friends." She smirked taking a bite from it.

"Shut it." He tried not to smirk as he took a piece from his and put it in his mouth.

"What it's been a while since you have." She took his hand, "They're our people, you can trust them."

"I know…" He looked down at his half of the cake.

"You just don't want a replay of the prison. I get that. Never said you had to be as close with them as you are us." She explained, "Just be…just be receptive."

"I'll try." He nodded.

"Good." She leaned over giving him a kiss on the cheek before the RV started slowing down.

"Hey Rick, what's going on?" Daryl asked looking out the window.

"We got a crash ahead, looks like it just happened." Rick replied. Jesus got worried saying that it was his people. None of them trusted him but they went in and got his people and got back out, continuing their way to Hilltop.

When they walked into the main house at Hilltop and met Gregory, Angel remembered what about D.C. had always made her so uncomfortable. Everything was so pristine and political. Maggie had asked her to go with her while they 'washed up' and once inside the wash room she turned, "You know politicians and leaders, how do I do this."

"I never had to negotiate with them." Angel was glad the task hadn't been put on her, "He does certainly seem like a politician though."

"You knew how to talk to Deanna."

"That was different, I knew Deanna from before." She shook her head, "Look he's a prick, we both know that. When I was in D.C. I noticed a lot of politicians not liking the fact that a woman was receiving the Medal of Honor, and they would try to talk down to me because of it. Don't let him. You take the power. You be in control. Don't let him have one little inch of it."

"So how long do you think Rick and Michonne have been uggin bumplies?" Abraham asked and Daryl just shrugged, "You ever think about it? Settling down? You and Angel with a litter of your own?"

"You think shits settle?" Daryl asked him. He felt bad. At the prison Daryl wanted to have kids with her, wanted to start a family, but now, after his run in with the people on the road that worked for this Negan guy, he just couldn't picture it anymore, not until he could insure that they were safe from everyone, that no one could hurt them and that they could take care of themselves. He was just worried about how long that would take.

They were waiting when Maggie walked out of her meeting with Gregory and she let out the groan she had been holding and looked at Angel, "Chamber of Commerce."

"Ugh, that's almost worse than Congress." Angel replied, "Did you get anything though?"

"No." She explained what was said and Jesus told them that they don't need ammo or meds as they just got some but that he would work something out with Gregory if they gave him a few days to which they agreed. They heard shouting coming from outside and turned to the noise.

Gregory came out of his office and another man came in saying that someone was back. They all went outside and watched the conversation between the people and Angel swallowed hard when she heard the name Negan. When one of the men stabbed Gregory she and Maggie went to work putting pressure on the wound until the doctor got there. She watched the fight and when Rick stabbed the man in the throat that was on top of them, the confrontation was over and Rick was covered in blood.
