This is inspired by a wedding that was on television this week in the US. I'm sure if you google "The Wedding," you'll find out what I'm talking about. This chapter is dedicated to those who have been watching The Wedding on loop all week (cough*Countryole*hack), and WillyNilly23, who matched my three chapters with three chapters of her own. I'll also dedicate it to the nice women (and also you, businessman) hanging out in this Starbucks who I really hope aren't looking over my shoulder.
...
It was a quick, unconventional wedding at the courthouse. Danielle and Eric attended as witnesses. Auggie wore a crisp suit with a lavender tie and Annie wore fantastic shoes.
Afterwards, they had a nice meal at a fancy restaurant. Annie even had a little champagne with dessert. The couple kissed in public more than is ever socially acceptable. On this one day, Danielle and Barber let them get away with it without too much comment.
They were in DC, but gave themselves one night of a honeymoon in a local hotel. Barber dropped them off and gave Annie a kiss on the cheek before handing her off to her husband.
Auggie had a pleasant buzz from the champagne, but being six months pregnant, Annie wasn't willing to go further than her one glass. She led him into the elevator and smiled as his thumb started to caress her bare arm. She pulled him down for a kiss.
The doors opened and she led him to their room. It was simple and small - all they needed was a bed with nice sheets. They were saving their major spending on the new place they would move into over the next month.
As Annie clicked the locks into place, Auggie turned to her. She was startled by his perfect eye contact when she turned his way.
"Now?" He asked gently.
Annie responded by pulling his jacket down his arms, slowly, as he leaned in for a kiss.
While their mouths were connected, he reached behind her and carefully unzipped her dress. She pulled away to gently step out of the classy fit-and-flare that had nicely hidden her growing stomach. Auggie used this as a chance to remove his tie and belt. With their clothes piled by the door, Auggie wrapped himself around Annie and lifted her into his arms, but didn't move.
His mouth met her neck as her hands caressed his back. "Back up." She directed.
Auggie obediently stepped back, slowly, without letting his mouth leave her body. After five steps she pressed her full hand onto his back. Stop.
"Turn left, then back up." Giving directions had never sounded so seductive.
Auggie let out a quiet growl as he obeyed. After a few steps, he felt the bed behind his knees. He didn't need any more instruction.
He sat back on the bed, Annie on his lap. He moved his kisses from her neck downward, until he moved her to the bed beside him so that she could lie back for him to continue.
They wouldn't have gotten married that morning if it were the first time they made love, but it wasn't just another passion-filled encounter for the two of them. It was slow, sensual, and left them both near tears in the end.
Auggie was behind Annie as they laid in the bed. He pulled at bobby-pins still her her hair until it was free for him to run his fingers through, then pulled her hair out of the way for him to lean into her.
His hand reached around and found her breasts. They were larger now, and he was fascinated with them.
"Can we keep these?" He asked.
"What?" Annie replied with a giggle.
"I love everything that Kumquat has done to your body, but this…" He cupped his hand gently under her breast and ran his finger over her nipple. "...is my favorite part."
"I never took you for a boob man."
He growled a primal noise that Annie had only heard from him in his moments of desire. "This isn't some attraction to cleavage from across the room. This is the soft, silky perfection of your breasts in my hand."
Annie stayed still, enjoying his touch for a moment.
"I never let myself think I would have this." Auggie said, quietly.
"Plump breasts in your hand?" Annie replied.
Auggie laughed as he moved his hand lower, to the child in her womb. "A wife, a child... this life."
Annie turned around and pushed his hair out of his face. "You didn't think you would die a lonely old man, did you?"
She wrapped her leg around his body as he thought about her words. "Yes, a lonely old invalid at the VA, entertaining all the hot young nurses with stories of my glory days until one day, in a fit of jealous rage, one of them pushed enough morphine into my veins to put me out of my misery."
"You've given this a lot of thought."
"Not really. The truth is that, plenty of times, I thought I could have this, but something always got in the way. So I stopped having expectations."
Annie took her hand and ran it over his firm ass, up his back, and behind his head. "You have me, Auggie."
His hand moved to her stomach before she continued. "You have us, and we aren't planning to go anywhere."
A/N: Some folks have asked if Annie is okay after the breast cancer scare. Of course she is! But if you want to see the sequel to that chapter, go back to Chapter 19: Scary Unknowns.
As for my other in-progress works, I am so sorry for all of them that are hanging. I will always slowly work on Overt, but there are no promises on any of the others. Life has gotten busy. Thank you to everybody for your support, and I assure you that when you ask about them, I feel a pang of guilt for not finishing them up. Sometimes I pull them up and try to gather the motivation to move them forward. Sometimes, it works.
