"It was quite easy to decipher, actually. But before I begin, did everyone watch the video?" Billy asked us.
A few people nodded, including me.
"Well, if you haven't, the game is basically you playing as Beary Nice and it's your job to eat/kill all the food people. As the game progresses you begin to torture Frank Herbert. At one point in the game, Izzie comes in and kills Beary to save Frank in which a video plays that shows her execution. The end screen says 'What could have been'." Billy explained. "Now with that in mind, what I read in this bible is relatively shocking."
"Spit it out already!" Dennis demanded impatiently.
"Hold your dick and calm down" Billy snapped back at him with a sarcastic smile plastered across his face. "Anyways, the shocking thing is that there is a prophecy quite similar to what was shown in the video. It tells of a woman who comes in and saves a food person at the expense of the 'great one' and then meets her demise. However, it also tells of an unknown person sacrificing a few people, whom I assume to be all food people, to bring rise to the 'great one' yet again."
"Weird story, but how is this shocking?" Ham asked.
"What is wrong with you people today?" Billy rolled his eyes. "Since none of you are smart enough to put two and two toge-"
Izzie interrupted him. "Tanezumi is trying to entice someone to believe in this cultist garbage so they can perform a murder similar to the story in the book and the game/video."
Billy nodded. "Correct. Shocking and clever to say the least. She'll do anything to get us to kill each other."
"That's scary!" Slog shivered.
Billy comforted him by putting his arm around him. "As long as we don't fall for it we'll be fine."
"I hope no one here is a cultist!" Izzie shook her head. "Because first of all you'd be a complete moron to believe in that shit and second of all you'll be endangering us all with your crazy beliefs!"
"Does anyone have anything else to report?" Mr. Gus asked.
Everyone shook their head.
"Excellent. Let's keep investigating this place and find a way out of here"
After lunch, we all headed our separate ways. I had quite alot of free time that afternoon. Soon it became dinner time and nothing too notable happened. I had some more free time after dinner and soon the night time announcement sounded. As I made my way up to the room, I saw Ham fiddling with something in his hand in the corner. I approached him, curious to see what he was doing. He didn't notice me, but I saw he was holding a strange pocket watch in his hand. After a moment, he noticed me and shook his head.
"Mary, I don't understand. I know Tanezumi told us we weren't supposed to share our gifts with others, but I happened to see several other people's gifts. Everyone has a key, but I was the only one who got a pocket watch." Ham confessed to me. "What does it mean?"
I tilted my head to the side and tapped my chin. "Well, that's really odd."
"It really is! I can't figure it out. Gweelok is trying to help me figure it out too but it doesn't make any sense..." he sighed.
"Perhaps when you get some rest you can search for some more answers tomorrow" I suggested to him.
"Maybe. The video is weird, the presents are weird. Nothing makes sense. Why does that rat even want us to kill each other? What purpose does it serve I don't understand?"
"I agree, but we really should get going." I reminded him.
"You're right. I'll sleep on it... if I can get any sleep that is" Ham sighed. "I hate this place"
"You and I both" I told him with a weak smile.
"Goodnight" he told me before going into his room.
I waved before going into my own room and getting ready for bed. Once in bed, I shut my eyes with the questions Ham asked me swirling through my head.
Why does Tanezumi want us to kill each other? I know we asked it in the beginning, but it didn't sink in as much until now. Why did we come here in the first place? Why did Uncle Grandpa really want us to get along? I'm starting to wonder if Uncle Grandpa is actually secretly a part of it all...
I was drifting off to sleep when suddenly I heard a familiar voice.
"I'm not a part of it!"
I bolted up to find Uncle Grandpa in my room standing over my bed.
"I heard your thoughts and I want you to know that I am not part of this! I am trying to figure this all out myself!" he told me as he scratched his chin.
"I just don't know, Uncle Grandpa. I don't know what's going on..." I sighed.
"I saw the late night video segment..." Uncle Grandpa began to sob. "It broke my heart!"
"Who did that to Steve?" I asked.
"If I knew don't you think I would have tracked them down and give them a good ol' Uncle Grandpa spank bottom special?" he crossed his arms, a little irritated that I would even ask what I asked.
"Of course..." I nodded. "But I'm still confused. Who is in danger? Those videos give mixed messages."
Uncle Grandpa's eyes teared up. "I think I know who it is but I don't want it to be true. There's nothing I can do to stop it. I'm barred from interfering with murders. I try so hard, but Tanezumi took alot of things away from me..."
Well, that would explain why he's always the last one to know about a murder and would also explain why he doesn't try and stop a murder if he ever hypothetically ran into it.
"I just hope she doesn't take him away. He means so much to me..." Uncle Grandpa began to cry.
"Pizza Steve?" I asked.
Uncle Grandpa didn't answer me, he just sobbed and disappeared. I sighed and lied back down. I was uneasy and worried, but I eventually drifted off to sleep.
