Siffa Reska (D7F)
"I'm going in," Cahlia states, a mere second before flinging herself into the center, weaving between the flames. Seeing Cahlia rush out, I make out a limping figure coming from the tunnel next to me. Based on appearance, it seems to be a guy. Which means one thing, Max. Yes, I may have said that I wasn't going to go out of my way to avenge Phan, but this opportunity is too good to pass up. Besides, it shouldn't do me any harm.
As Cahlia sprints for her pack, Falcon and I take off, each of us chasing down our pre-chosen targets. Although Max was moving fast towards the center, my enemy still had his limp and seemed to be dazed by some sort of head injury. I have no idea where his ally is, or maybe she was the one to attack him. But that doesn't matter now, soon Max will be dead and Phan avenged. Gripping the crisscrossed black tape grip of my golden colored katana, I lean forward mid stride and strike him in the shoulder. Spun around by the impact, Max falls to the ground, a surprised expression across his foppish features. Seeing him on the ground defenseless makes me think twice about what I was about to do, but only for a second. This is for Phan. Kicking Max's side with my boot, I see him grimace as I turn him to face me. Planting my foot on his chest, I gaze into his eyes and point my weapon at his throat.
As I stare into his bloodshot eyes from lack of sleep, Max glares at me with a killing hatred. He really was a sight to see with his swollen head and black eye, but still with a faint trace of his Career upbringing. His lips are cracked and his entire face red and contorted with pain. But I refuse to let his pitiful state get to me. He is from One, and District One ruined my life and now they must pay with this life. My blade centimeters from his neck, I begin to speak to him in a low whisper.
"Five years ago, the male tribute from District One killed my best friend and sister's husband. In his name, I came here and this is what I've been wanting to do for a long time. District One, I know you are listening! And this is your payback!" I scream with a sneer that surprised even me with its unfamiliar menacing tone. Taking one last look at Max's bloodthirsty expression, I thrust my sword towards him, closing my eyes at the last second. A breath catches in my throat as an ear blasting sound cuts through the flame filled room.
BOOM!
Looking up from Max's body, I see glances from a few tributes who were startled by the cannon fire. One more tribute closer to victory. Scanning the room for my allies, I see a scene of chaos. Although Max's cannon was the only one so far, everyone else is hurrying about, whether locked in combat or otherwise. Lorry is chasing a seemingly weaponless Seanna with her knife, getting dangerously close to striking her a few times. Cahlia has somehow gotten to the top of the Cornucopia and is surveying the scene before her, almost like she is waiting for everyone to kill eachother for her. In her hands, she is clutching a beige satchel with her District number on it, holding on to it as if it were her life, which, relatively speaking, it was. At the mouth of the Cornucopia is Falcon, who seemingly abandoned Mauve for a shit at getting his sponsor gift. Rustling through his small pack, he pulls out a small bronze whistle, and confusedly gazes at it for a few seconds before putting it back in its bag. Then I jump as a second cannon pierces the air and I see Lorry standing above the burning body of Seanna who she finally caught up to. The girl was trembling, obviously opposed to killing, but would do anything to get home. There is a wild fear in her eyes as she bends over to pick up her weapon. The leaves six of us, one quarter of the original tributes, left and both of District One dead. Serves them right.
Knowing that I was still for far too long, I spring into action, now heading toward Cahlia and the center where I will grab my gift. But, out of nowhere, I slam straight into the Not so Weak Actress.
"You wanna dance?" she says, her eyes dark.

For the first part of the feast, I lurked in the corridor at the mouth of the labyrinth, waiting for most of the action to happen. I saw Siffa take her revenge on Max and Lorry mercilessly slaughter Seanna. That's two more Careers down, leaving me as the only lone tribute. Sprinting into the center, dodging the flames, my only sights are set on that large backpack with my number on it. I guess I was a bit too focused, because the next thing I know, I am face to face with a startled Siffa and I know that there was nothing I could do but fight. So I try my hardest to summon my inner Career and sneer some random Career catch line.
"You wanna dance?" I growl at her, sneering an evil lopsided grin that totally did not suit me at all. All I can think of is the carefully folded parchment in my pocket, containing the lyrics that would change everyone's world forever. I grasp my knife in my calloused fist and fling my am towards Siffa's neck, only to be blocked by the butt of her katana. Having her arm occupied, I swing my leg over and knee her in her stomach. She doubles over, dropping her weapon from her hands. A gasp escapes her mouth and I raise my knife to finish her off. But, just as I raise my dagger, her elbow flies and hits me in the kneecap as I fall down to her level. But, even though I was on the ground, I managed to roll over and pin Siffa's wrists above her head. Holding her down with one hand, I jab her in the stomach with my knife and the cannon instantly goes off.
BOOM!
Five left.
I stand up on my wobbling feet and turn back towards the Cornucopia to get whatever was in my pack. Jogging away and leaving Siffa's body to the flames, I lift up my pack and catch a small glimpse of a neon violet blade from the inside. But just as I reach inside to pull it out, I hear outraged scream from above and a thump behind me. Quickly, I turn around to face whoever was there and find myself face on with an enraged Cahlia.
"You killed her! You killed Siffa!" she screams as she grabs my throat and slams my head against the cold metal wall. An intense pain shoots through my skull and my vision doubles. As I am spun around to face my attacker, I am pushed against the wall as Cahlia reaches her hand into her recently acquired feast gift.
"I was saving this, but you deserve it more than anyone!" she screams as she raises a midnight black bottle in the air and uncorks the crystallized skull lid and smashes it on my face. I feel my nose crack and an intolerable odor fill the air. Then, just as quickly, I feel my head cloud and see my hands begin to twitch. Poison, jarred Nightlock by the looks of it. It was a fact that I was going to die, and any minute now too. Yet, through my delusional fog, all I can think about is Tena's song. Mustering all of my strength, I reach my spastic hand into my pocket and grasp the now crumpled paper in my hands. In an act of desperation, I hold it out to Cahlia as her anger briefly subsides and she takes it. Losing all of my stamina, I crash against the wall as the last thing I see is Cahlia reading the lyrics and folding them up.
"Get those home..." I weeze as I look into her concerned eyes and black out.
BOOM!
