Garmadon sighed softly, carrying Lloyd to the bed. His son seemed so relaxed and serene. He smiled down at him, content as well. "Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon..." he cooed, tucking him in and turning to leave.
In one of the corners, Xenudah was lurking, and he slowly snuck up on the young ninja, using his dark powers to put him into a deep sleep, numbing his senses. Heh, Garmadon won't know what hit him until it's too late! HAHAHAHHAHHAHAH!
He shoved him into a bag, flying out the window, carefully closing it so no one heard.
The next day, everyone had already woken up. Garmadon went to Lloyd's room to wake his son up. No one was there. Garmadon tensed. He went to the living room where the other ninja were gathered around.
"My son's gone missing again." Garmadon let out a sigh.
"Garmadon..." Zena murmured. "I'm so sorry...I know he means a lot to you..."
"We've got to split up," the sensei said with determination. "I need to get him back..."
"Heh, now to kill you so that your father won't see what's coming..." Xenudah smirked, looking to his father who nodded in approval. "He'll be so broken and soon you will fall to our wrath, and soon, Ninjago will fall as well!" With that, he shot a dart made out of one of the sharpest materials ever created in Ninjago, letting him bleed out slowly...
The Green Ninja was going to suffer.
Ninjago was going to pay for what his father had endured.
The group reached the top of Crashcourse Canyon, when suddenly, Zane, who had used his falcon vision to discover Lloyd's location, ran up to Garmadon and exclaimed,
"Garmadon! Xenudah and the Overlord, in the canyon! Lloyd's down there!"
"Lloyd?! " Oh gosh, no... Not again... Garmadon summoned his dragon flying down to face the father and son.
But it was too late. Lloyd was severely hurt. On the verge of dying.
Yakunan and Xenudah fled, leaving the cage open and his father to drown in his own misery.
"D-dad it hurts so much!" Lloyd cried. "No... s-somehow, with just one hit... I'm already... Already... AGH... Sensei... Mom... Father... Just like that, I... I've failed you. No... My body... It feels like it's splitting apart. Like any instant...I'll scatter into a million pieces."
"Shh...I'm here. I'm here it's alright. You haven't failed me…" Garmadon was trying his best to heal Lloyd with his powers, but it wasn't working right...his emotions had taken too much control over him...and he let it.
"N-No...this can't be happening…" he sobbed devastatingly. "Lloyd Montgomery...I-I can't lose you… Not again...not agaaaiiiin..."
"I love you guys..s-so much..." Lloyd cried and held him weakly.
"I love you too…" Garmadon simply said, shakily and lightly running a hand against his cheek. He was taken back and flat out devastated...heartbroken even. Garmadon's eyes burned with the want to avenge his son.
"I will avenge you my son," Garmadon whispered, stroking Lloyd's hair, tears free-falling down his cheeks. "Even if it kills me along the way."
Lloyd flashed a weak smile at everyone and right then and there…
Took in his last breath…
And died.
