Summary Chapter 34: Naruto met with Vice Admiral Garp, who brought his Grandson Luffy to the Village, all to ask Naruto to train Luffy. Garp requested to hire Uzushiogakure's service to allow Luffy to stay in the village, undergoing training to master his Devil Fruit powers and learn basic combat skills. Naruto accepted the mission, after speaking with Luffy finding out the boy had the dream to become the Pirate King! Speaking with such determination, Naruto couldn't help but believe him.

Big Mom enraged that Otsutsuki Hagoromo had yet to arrive on Totto Land to marry one of her daughters threw a fit. One of Linlin's sons, Charlotte Katakuri managed to quell her anger by suggesting to invade Uzu no Kuni. Katakuri believed that since Hagoromo had offered his name to protect the Island, he must have a connection to it. Charlotte Linlin declared War on Uzushiogakure no Sato, declaring the Big Mom Pirate's would invade and if Hagoromo didn't show she would kill everyone.

On Dressrosa, Kaido laughed at the news thinking Linlin was brave or a fool but planned to swoop in to finish both sides off. The Shinobi had been interfering with the process of creating SAD and SMILE. After Kaido dismissed his subordinate's, a strange man in a black hooded cloak appeared called Munashi. Munashi and Kaido seemed to share a past and were working together as Munashi spoke about being disappointed in Kaido for failing to live up to the agreement. Munashi's 'Father' who made Kaido feel fear had been supplying the Yonko with supplies for SAD.

Chapter 35: War On The Horizon

"War huh…" Naruto sat behind his desk reading over contents of the message he had received from the Big Mom Pirates. Charlotte Linlin was aggravated over the fact Naruto hadn't shown up as Hagoromo to marry one of her daughters. Was this a reason to go to war with someone? The Uzumaki sighed not sure of the answer as he leaned back in his chair and looked to those in the room before Naruto stood some of his trusted advisors and warriors.

To the right of Naruto's desk, was Suzuka in full Anbu attire accompanied by Kurama, to the left Houjin and Yamato dressed in full Jounin uniform. The room was packed with both members of the Shinobi forces, all Jounin with the exception of Dominic was present, high ranking members of the council and the Commander of the First Martial Legions

"Will you make an appearance as Hagoromo, Naruto?" Asked Kurama, a tail flicking in amusement as the idea of the woman launching an attack on Uzu no Kuni.

"No." Naruto shook his head at the mention of his alias, "Let Big Mom come, this will be a good way to test the defences of Uzu no Kuni and Military strength. Lately, we've only been participating in Mission's and small Skirmishes; we haven't had the chance to accurately test our strength." Naruto welcomed Big Mom's challenge and would receive it happily as a way to test the strength of his people. Uzushiogakure would be the sword and Big Mom the wet stone to sharpen it.

"In this battle, I will not make an appearance as Hagoromo, and I won't enter the battle as the Uzukage. I will stay back and not interfere directly, only if Big Mom herself makes an appearance or if the battle tips out of our favour. I will command the troops from the back, directing them into battle and assign roles." The Uzukage folded his hands onto his desk with a serious expression, making no plans to fight himself unless Charlotte Linlin showed up. The terrain of Uzu no Kuni no one knew it better than them, giving them an advantage, but if the Big Mom Pirates began to suppress his forces, Naruto would take to the fight.

"It's why I'd also like to request the Bijuu sit out of this battle." Kurama raised an eyebrow at the request but bowed his head.

"Very well, but at the first sign of trouble I won't hesitate to jump in." Rebuked Kurama, the Fox wouldn't allow the people of Uzu no Kuni to falter. "I will, however, make my presence known to our forces to boost morale." The Bijuu were a sign of shrine and protection of Uzushiogakure, if the Army knew Kurama was at their back it would strengthen their fighting resolve, knowing that even if they fell he would be there to ensure no one could get to their homes.

"Suzuka you'll be in charge of the Anbu. Yamato I'm putting you in command of the Shinobi Forces, Houjin will be your second in command. Kenshiro, you'll be in charge of all Ten Martial Legions. The Martial Force shall take point in this war," Naruto turned to address the last name, Kenshiro. The owner of the name was a man above average in height, six foot, with bishounen features matched by snow white skin. Kenshiro had long silky black hair tied in a ponytail and emerald green eyes. The man wore an emerald green robe with silver hakama pants and silver armour, imprinted on the front of the armour was the kanji for 'One'. The armour covered his chest, torso, shoulders, forearms and lower legs. Attached to his right hip was a two-metre-long Nodachi.

"Hai Uzukage-dono!" Kenshiro spoke in an older and more formal dialect, giving a respectful bow.

"Janice contact R and D to speed up development of all projects," Naruto called out to Janice who sat at the back of the group. The older woman nodded her head to the orders given to her.

"Houjin seek out Hildegarde and see to it our special project comes to completion in the coming months. It must be ready for the upcoming war." Naruto directed another order, this time to Houjin who had been placed as Vice Commander of the Shinobi Forces. The Second Generation Devil Fruit user bowed, nodding his head at the command.

"Disperse, you have your orders. Begin preparation for War" Ordered the Uzukage as he climbed to his feet and swung an arm out to the side. All those present bowed and began to depart. The Shinobi vanished in elemental swirls while the other's left through the main door, leaving only Kurama and Naruto. The Immortal slumped back down into his chair and gave a long sigh.

"Big Mom gives me a headache." Naruto rubbed his temples, technically he couldn't get a headache, but he still remembered how they felt.

"We expected for this to happen sooner or later. No use worrying about it now." Butted in Kurama, drawing Naruto's attention.

"Knowing Charlotte Linlin's temper it was only a matter of time before she took drastic measures to lure my alter ego out. The woman is incredibly unstable. If she makes an appearance during the war, I won't hesitate to put her madness down and take her life." The Sage clenched his fists, having heard of the many nefarious deeds the woman had done.

"I'll leave to prepare the others." Kurama's tails flicked before the fox vanished in a swirl of red-hot flames, disappearing, going off to speak with his siblings.

Left alone, Naruto swivelled around in his chair to look out of the room's giant mirror and cast his gaze onto the village. "The calm before the storm huh." Naruto folded his arms over his chest, crossing legs over one another and simply leaned back. The storm was beginning to brew again; the Sage had sensed its creation a long time ago. "Will this be what breaks the camel's back and unleash the storm, or is this only the start?" Naruto tapped his elbows in thought, processing everything he had experienced.

"Time will tell. For now, I will just take it as it comes. There are other matters to attend to."

The Sage began to smirk and called out to the door of his office, "You can come in, no need to hesitate." Barked out the Immortal, before the sound of the door opening was heard and light footsteps walked into the room. The fragrant smell of perfume wafted in, swivelling around in his chair, Naruto was greeted to the sight of a beautiful black haired woman with a distinct nose, Nico Robin. The Devil Child was dressed in a long-sleeved collared lavender shirt and navy blue hip-hugging jeans.

"Taking a break from your research?" Asked the Immortal with a small grin, as the woman sat down in a chair opposite him. Chakra arms extended from his back, as a slither of energy entered a seal on his desk. In a puff of smoke, a tray table appeared with a pot of tea and two cups. The arms latched onto the pot and poured a cup of steaming hot green tea for the woman before an arm offered it to her.

"Thank you." Robin accepted the cup and took a small sip, enjoying the tea as it filled her with warmth.

Naruto revealed a soft smile as he watched the young woman. Only a month after the wedding, Robin returned to Uzushiogakure no Sato, after making sure all the Marines had left. The woman had promptly decided to accept Naruto on his offer, she hadn't officially joined the village but had begun reading up on its history. Naruto had allowed her to stay at the Uzumaki Compound.

"You have a question I take it?" Asked the Immortal Sage, he didn't bother hiding his true appearance from Robin. The Sage had long since revealed that Otsutsuki Hagoromo was his alias, but the form used was his true appearance.

"Haa, it's still hard to get over that fact your six thousand years old." The woman gave a soft laugh as she eyed the horned man with rippling eyes. Robin found it funny that the one she was searching for had come to her.

"You'll get used to it, eventually." Naruto gave a teasing chuckle as he picked up a cup of tea and took a sip. It was warm but didn't satisfy his tastes.

"You're taking the news of Big Mom's declaration of war rather well Naruto-san. Do you have some secrets up your sleeves?" The inquisitive woman asked the immortal being, but then again perhaps she shouldn't be surprised at how calm he was. After all, this was the same man who could level an entire island.

"I have many tricks up my sleeve Robin-san. I try to prepare for almost any occasion; the war was one of those. Uzushiogakure has been preparing itself for war, against anyone who would seek to do battle against us. While we are far from the level I hoped to be, we are no pushovers, as we will demonstrate to Big Mom and the World." Explained Naruto with a small smile, war was inevitable; it didn't mean he had to like it. Uzushiogakure threw out the balance of World Power between the World Government, Yonko and the Shichibukai. As long as Uzushio was in the picture, to certain people, it would be as seen as a threat that was breaking the balance.

"I look forward to witnessing your strength. I wonder if the ocean will be dyed red by the blood you will spill." Nico Robin adopted an adorable thinking pose as she thought about the horrifying imagery. Naruto couldn't help but sweatdrop at the woman's odd personality especially when it came to anything horror themed.

"Enough about the war, you wished to speak to me? Do you have questions about the past?" Naruto changed the subject away from the upcoming war, back to the reason Robin was visiting him in the first place. The woman sipped her tea before opening her supple lips.

"I've been reading through the historical records of the Uzushiogakure Library, but there is no mention of before, during or after the Void Century. Did you ever experience the Void Century?" Robin fired off a question immediately towards the Immortal, hoping he could answer it. Naruto revealed a sorrowful look and shook his head.

"Apologies but I was in seclusion during that time. I remained in my seclusion for six thousand years, only stepping into the world seven and a half years ago. You know probably more than I do about the periods between those times." Naruto apologised for not being able to answer Robin's question. During his six thousand year seclusion, Naruto never bothered to interact with the outside world, keeping himself closed up.

"Then perhaps you can tell me about the Shinobi Era. You said you were born in Konohagakure no Sato, the Hidden Leaf Village correct?" asked Robin with an inquisitive gaze and curious tone. The one thing the woman loved was history and knowledge about the past. To have the chance to speak to someone from the past was an incredible experience for her.

"Yes. Konohagakure was my home for sixteen years before its destruction." Responded Naruto with a sad smile as he reflected on his old home. Even after all these years he still felt a tang of regret at its destruction.

"The Five Hokage's, I'm curious, can you tell me more about them? What kind of people were they? Just how strong were they?" Robin's interest had been peaked when it came to the Hokage's and those of similar titles. It was said each of them was the strongest of their times.

"The Shodai Hokage, Senju Hashirama created Konohagakure with the aid of his friend Uchiha Madara. Hashirama was one of the strongest Shinobi of his team, called the Shinobi no Kami (God of Shinobi), born in the Warring States era, Hashirama's skills were honed constantly on the field of battle, shedding countless blood and watching loved ones die. The experience helped to shape the man he would become. Hashirama was a strange man, with an impulsive, headstrong and excitable nature, always eager to meet new people. The Shodai was a big fan of gambling and loved to have friendly competitions with other. Even so, he could be serious when it mattered."

"Hashirama hated having to send children out to war and dreamed of a shinobi system where a child could be around others his or her age, never needing to "grow up" prematurely on the battlefield. He wanted the rest of the village to cherish what Konoha represented just as much as he did, encouraging them to regard every villager as part of one large family that should always look out for each other. As Hokage, his job was to protect that family at all costs, even if that cost was his life. This philosophy, known as the "Will of Fire", would become a cornerstone of Konoha teachings for decades after his death."

"Hashirama has a strong belief that village-first loyalty would naturally break down the mentality that shinobi had to look out for the clans. Hashirama lived by this philosophy long before Konoha's founding, having no qualms about killing himself if it meant peace between the Uchiha and Senju clans. Hashirama was never the type to obtain power to use it to oppress others and use it for vengeance. His entire goal of gaining more power was to have enough to stop the violence."

"He was humble, not above lowering his head to his fellow village heads or claiming inferiority to those he'd never met but whose actions he approved of. If nothing else, Hashirama was kind, placing the needs of others before his own: he was even willing to take his own life if it would help create a world where his friends and family wouldn't need to die unnecessarily." Recounted Naruto recounting what he knew of Hashirama Senju, it helped that he had absorbed the memories of those who had been present during the time, specifically those who had been children and grew up under Hashirama.

The Uzukage would then go on to recount the many adventures of Hashirama with his brother and Madara. Following this, the Uzumaki would discuss vividly about the other four Hokage's, Senju Tobirama, Sarutobi Hiruzen, his father Namikaze Minato and Senju Tsunade. With the memories of one of them, and memories of countless others, Naruto would regale everything he could about them and their pasts, linking their histories together.

In the end, Nico Robin found herself overloaded by what she had learned. From just five people, Robin had learned a lot about Naruto's Era. Each of the five Hokage's had lived extraordinary lives and performed many miraculous feats. She still couldn't get over the fact that Hashirama alone could defeat and control eight of the nine Bijuu. Robin had met them and seen Kurama's power first hand when it was demonstrated to her by Kurama obliterating a giant seaking with a low-level Bijuudama. The level of strength was something she couldn't get her head around.

"The other Kage's were they as strong as your Hokage's?" The Woman asked in a shaky voice, secretly hoping they weren't. From the descriptions of their abilities, these Hokage were easily on the level of Yonko, with Hashirama and his brother Tobirama surpassing them.

"Each of them had their own merits and were hailed as legendary Shinobi. The Shodai Mizukage Byakuren was said to excel in worldly wisdom. The Shodai Kazekage Reto was renowned as a powerful shinobi who was able to unify the desert-dwelling folk with his strength. Ishikawa, the Shodai Tsuchikage, was another powerful shinobi of his time and a master of Doton Ninjutsu. Lastly, the Shodai Raikage and the original carrier of the name A said to be as strong as the other Kage's. Whether they were as strong as Hashirama, probably not, as Hashirama was said to be a once in a million Shinobi."

"There, however, have been many Kage's who have shown their strength. The Sandaime Kazekage was regarded to be the strongest Kazekage, Sunagakure ever had, perhaps this is true with his mastery of iron sand. This doesn't destroy the merits of the Nidaime Kazekage, Shamon, who was said to be a powerful puppet master or the Yondaime Kazekage, Rasa who possessed power strong enough to masterfully use his control over gold dust to quell the rampages of Shukaku. Of course, I can't forget my friend, Gaara who became the Godaime Kazekage and create revolutionary policies."

"Then you have, A the Nidaime Raikage, who worked towards peace with all village's, regarded as being friendly and intelligent while being well versed in political knowledge. Not to say that the Sandaime and Yondaime Raikage didn't have their merits. The third Kage to take on the name A, was able to fight Gyuki, using his powerful offensive techniques to cut off its horn and create his unique style, Kuroi Kaminari (Black lightning), being so well versed in it to pass it onto a single student. After that came the Fourth Raikage, who even at the loss of an arm was still an extremely powerful and domineering Shinobi."

"The Nidaime Tsuchikage, Mu was one of the strongest Shinobi of his Village during his era, one of the few Shinobi to wield all five Nature Transformations and use a Kekkei Touta. A master of the Jinton (Dust Release) Mu was unmatched and later passed this ability onto Onoki the Sandaime Tsuchikage who was one of the longest-running Kage's. Onoki was a Shinobi who as a youth appeared in the Era of Hashirama and Madara, while he couldn't match them, during the Fourth Shinobi World War, but Ounoki later made up with this thanks to years of experience. Onoki and Hiruzen could be said to be the most experienced Kage's."

"Lastly the Mizukage's. Sadly Yagura the Yondaime Mizukage was manipulated by the Akatsuki to turn Kirigakure into a blood-filled village. But the Godaime Mizukage Mei Terumi corrected this and used her strength to rebuild Kirigakure, working tirelessly to reform internal policies and recreate diplomatic relations with other villages. The Sandaime Mizukage was a man refuted as the strongest member of the Yuki clan during his era, with mastery over hyouton (Ice Release) that was said to be unparalleled. Lastly not to be outshined is the Nidaime Mizukage, Hozuki Gengetsu, said to be the strongest Shinobi in Kirigakure during his time. His power was such that he could kill the Second Tsuchikage — albeit at the cost of his own life. Gengetsu was extraordinarily talented being proficient in Water, Fire, Lightning, and Earth Release, along with Yin and Yang Release."

Robin's hands shook at the thought of all these powerful Shinobi who had lived through countless eras of bloodshed. Each of these Kage's had tempered themselves in war, taking the lives of countless individuals. Twenty-two Kage's, each of them was probably as strong as Yonko or just slightly below that level, all within a short timespan of each other, less than a hundred years. There probably hadn't even been that many individuals with Yonko level strength in the last thousand years. The Shinobi Era was truly one of monsters!

The archaeologist couldn't help but shiver, imagining what it would be like if they were alive today.

"This is all too much to take in." Robin rubbed her temples processing everything she had been told about the Kage's.

"How about I start things off slow, and take you back to when I became a Genin, starting from when I was tricked into stealing the Forbidden Scroll." Naruto smiled offering to start off with something light, deciding to pick his days as a Genin.

"You, tricked?" Robin's interest had been peaked as she stared at the Kage with amusement.

"I wasn't always the man I am today. In my youth, I was quite the knuckleheaded idiot." Naruto laughed as he remembered how he used to be. Oh, how the Immortal wanted to go back in time and bash his younger self in the head.

"I'm all ears," Nico revealed a teasing smile, listening carefully.

"Very well, it all began when I was twelve years old, painting the Hokage Mountain in a bright orange jumpsuit…." The immortal spoke as he recounted the events of his Genin days before he departed with Jiraiya to train for two and a half years.

Marineford - Garp's Office

"Wahahahaha!" Garp sat in his chair roaring with laughter as he read the declaration of war against Uzushiogakure orchestrated by Big Mom.

"Never a dull moment with the Uzushio Shinobi, don't you agree, Issho-san!" Garp roared with laughter again as he swivelled in his chair to face the man sitting opposite him, Vice Admiral Issho. The two Vice Admiral's had gathered to discuss the war between Uzushiogakure and Charlotte Linlin.

Issho slurped heavily from the soba noodle cup in his hands, downing the noodle content and swallowed before speaking up, "The Uzukage keeps things interesting. I'm curious to see how he will fare. I suspect we shouldn't be too worried; if I was to gamble, I'd bet it all on Uzushio's survival. It will be Charlotte Linlin who is sent running with her tail between her legs." Stated Issho before plunging his chopsticks back into the warm noodle cup and taking another slurp of his favourite food.

"Wahaha! Uzumaki-san is certainly a strong one! I felt it in my bones! My gut told me not to fight him!" Garp trusted his gut; the only other times it has acted up was the first time the Marine had met Gol D. Roger. Garp's gut told him that Roger would become an influential figure as he was overflowing with potential.

Garp dug into a bag on his lap removing a hard cookie and took a large bite of it with a loud crunching sound, "The Gorosei are meeting with Sengoku?" The Vice Admiral asked Issho, the marine hadn't long gotten back from Uzushiogakure and hadn't bothered catching up on the latest news.

"They are trying to decide what course of action to take. Not just because of this war, three more marines have gone mission. Captain Shu, Vice Admiral Dalmatian and Rear Admiral Kadar." Issho raised the cup of noodles and downed the leftover fluid.

Garp grumbled at the news, "That makes twelve in the past two years." A number of the Marines ranked Captain, and above had been disappearing for no reason. Add the three Issho mentioned, plus the five who vanished at Loguetown meant four others had vanished.

"A draft. The Gorosei hope to start a draft to fill the missing ranks. The balance of power is beginning to tip with every Marine lost." Issho commented about an upcoming draft that has been tossed around recently between the Gorosei.

"A bunch of young hotshots, I look forward to introducing them to my fist of love! Wahahaha!" Garp gave another bellowing laugh as he cracked his knuckles at the thought of teaching a few recruits.

Grandline Aboard the Moby Dick

"Linlin sure has the arrogance!" Whitebeard released a loud bellow as the rejuvenated pirate sat on his large chair. The ageing pirate, unlike before no longer had the need to be hooked up to oxygen tanks with many medical sensors on his body. Whitebeard was better than ever, all thanks to Uzumaki Naruto. The Sage had healed the Pirate up restoring his health during their fight.

"Uzu no Kuni came under my protection, and she has the gall to invade it? Even declaring her intentions to the world!" Whitebeard bellowed out as he began to climb to his feet, gripping a newly repaired bisento. A powerful tremor was released from the pirate shaking the newly repaired Moby dick.

"Oi pops calm down; you'll destroy the ship again-yoi!" Marco shouted out as he stood in front of his father, trying to calm the giant of a man down. Marco was getting worried that his pops might throw a temper tantrum, especially since they had spent countless belly to repair the ship after the clash between the Yonko and the Shodai Uzukage.

Whitebeard took a breath and collapsed back into his chair with enough force the entire ship rocked back and forth. The Yonko grabbed a barrel to his right and downed the sake inside, downing it in one go before dropping it beside him. "Linlin test's my patience's; does she think I won't act against her? I'm curious to see who's stronger!" Whitebeard was itching for a fight, ever since he had clashed fists against Naruto; an old fire had been ignited.

"Marco send word to the other commanders to prepare their fleets. Set sail to Uzu no Kuni! Let's see what Charlotte has to say to me when she comes!" roared out Whitebeard giving orders to his first division commander. Whitebeard intended to join the war against Uzu no Kuni, to ally with Naruto.

"I'm afraid I can't let you do that, Edward Newgate." A distorted voice called out, putting every member of the Whitebeard Pirates on edge.

"Who's there, show yourself!" Marco shouted arms transforming into blue flames in the shape of wings.

"Hahahaha you don't scare me Fushichou Maruko (Marco the Phoenix)!" A black hole began to open up in the middle of the ship as an obsidian cloak began to expand out from it until a six-foot-tall humanoid figure covered by a black hooded cloak took form. A pair of sinister yellow eyes looked up at Whitebeard, making the Yonko frown.

"Who are you?" Whitebeard climbed to his feet, easily towering over the newcomer even from a distance.

The cloaked figure shot forward not even answering. Marco reacted coming into the path of the hooded man, a right fist shooting forward. The man released a distorted laugh, as a piece of his cloak was brought into the path of the attack, a black hole manifested beginning to absorb all light. Marco felt himself being pulled towards it; the blue flames on his arms were sucked in and extinguished. The robed figure appeared before Marco, the tails of his cloak slashed through the air as a powerful force struck the Pirate launching him backwards.

Marco bounced along the deck of the Moby Deck, blood dripping from his lips. Beginning to stand, blue flames engulfed Marco's body healing any injuries he had suffered. Standing back up, Marco charged again, his entire body transforming into the shape of a phoenix made entirely of azure sapphire flames. The large phoenix charged towards the man with the intent to ram into him at full force.

"Pesky bird!" The hooded cloak he wore shot open as a dark void was revealed, the only light exposed was a pair of yellow hues, the man's eyes. The void began to suck in the world, dragging it inside. The pieces of the cloak shot out and curved around Marco's phoenix body, creating an enclosing to trap him inside. The Phoenix screeched struggling against the void and strange bindings as its body was dragged into a never-ending void.

"Let him go!" Whitebeard roared with fury appearing before the being; a giant right hand came down as the world shattered. The fist hit the void shattering it and sent the cloaked figure skidding backwards across the desk of the Moby Dick. A trail of blood dripped onto the wooden decks; its colour shocked them all. The man's blood was not red, but black.

The being spat out a ball of black blood from behind his robe and glared daggers at Whitebeard. Standing to his full height the man, at least Whitebeard assumed it was a man, straightened his cloak out. Every time the being moved, Whitebeard hadn't been able to see beneath that robe at all as if it was a part of him.

"You'll regret that Whitebeard!"

"I doubt I will. You are a fool to come alone!" Whitebeard smirked as he gripped the massive bisento in his left hand and lowered the spear tip down, pointing it at the unknown being.

The robe began to move as an ear-grating chuckle could be heard, "Hahaha, alone. You are the foolish one!" The cloak flew open revealing the void again; space rippled as darkness spread out. Whitebeard grabbed Marco and retreated as two figures landed beside the strange being, one on each side. The one on the left was five foot tall wearing a dark purple hooded cloak covering their entire body and the one on the right was eight foot tall wearing a blood-red hooded cloak covering head to toe. Whitebeard couldn't see what they looked like or what their genders were.

"Munashi couldn't you handle an old man?" the one in the purple teased in a sarcastic voice, the tone was of a higher pitch and distinctively female. But Whitebeard wouldn't assume as it could be an Okama. As the person spoke a fog of noxious purple air left their breath. The fog floated down to the floor of the ship, and the wood sizzled as it turned black, bubbled and rotted away.

"Enough we have orders." The one in the red spoke in a gruff, deep sounding voice, a thick bloody misty revolved off of his body. Whitebeard took a step back; the pirate could smell the stench of blood on the man's body, it was incredibly thick.

The purple hooded figure grumbled something under their breath, releasing more toxic air. The other two ignored it as the middle one called, Munashi stepped towards, Whitebeard. Two blurs shot out from behind, Whitebeard appearing in front of him, on the right Commander of the Third Division, Jozu and on the left Commander of the Fifth Division, Vista.

"You won't take another step!" Vista drew his blades speaking in a deep masculine voice; the swordsman shot forward towards Munashi swinging the blades down overhead. The tails of Munashi's cloak shot outwards into the incoming blades, impacting like solid matter. The swords ground against the material and didn't make a dent. A pressure erupted pressing down on Vista, making his legs buckle.

Jozu charged in body transforming into diamond, right shoulder out as he sped forward to shoulder barge Munashi. The being seemed to sneer as a hand shot out of the cloak. The hand was withered and made of black flesh. The hand reached out and touched the incoming diamond arm. A black hole manifested on impact that seemed to suck in all, as the diamond on Jozu's body began to break away and was sucked inside.

"HA!" Vista jumped upwards, as Munashi was distracted by Jozu and swung his blades rapidly, creating hundreds of rose petals that spiralled out around the man. The sword slashes came down striking at Munashi, whose cloak opened up in full revealing that black void. The void spun sucking up the attacks neutralising them. A giant hand came down and crashed against Munashi, breaking space and sent the being flying backwards where they crashed amongst their kin. Whitebeard stepped up between his two sons his right hand returning to his side.

"How foolish of you Munashi that is twice you've been hurt. So much for the great Kyo Ningen (Vacuum Human)!" The one in purple snickered behind their hood, earning a glare from Munashi. A pair of red eyes twinkled mischievously under the hood, unaffected by the gaze.

"Do you want a taste of my vacuum sister!" Roared out Munashi turning to face the one in purple, who was identified as being female. The air rippled around Munashi as a black hole began to manifest behind him.

"Try me!" spoke the sarcastic woman as a thick purple fog erupted from her words.

A pair of light green eyes glowed beneath the hood in red as a powerful pressure crashed down upon the two. "Enough!" Roared the one in red silencing the two, bringing an end to their bickering.

"Haoshoku Haki (Conquerors Haki)!" Whitebeard frowned at the sight of the pressure that had hit the two, having felt a miniscule amount of it from where he stood. The pressure was none other than Haoshoku Haki the Haki of Conquerors.

"Hai/Hai!" Said the two robed figures as they turned to face the Whitebeard Pirates again. The three were surrounded as the other Whitebeard Pirates pointed guns and swords in their direction.

Munashi swiped a blackened hand through the air and a strong suction force erupted as a black hole was manifested. The guns and swords were sucked up drawn inside before the hole closed up.

"Stand back; you are not their match!" Shouted Whitebeard to his crew, the only ones who would stand any chance were him and the commanders. Of the commanders, only three were on the ship.

"What is it you want?" Asked Whitebeard clutching the bisento, watching the strange group with a wary eye.

"What we want is simple, don't interfere in the war." The one in red spoke before their cloak flutter, and two large tree roots shot forward. The roots were dripping with blood as they launched towards Whitebeard, the tips sharp like swords with the intent to impale him.

Whitebeard punched at the air releasing a powerful shock wave that hit the roots making them shatter on impact. Red blood poured onto the ground as the broken roots retracted towards the red hooded being, the roots themselves were dripping with blood.

The one in purple laughed sadistically, and she kicked off, launching towards the Whitebeard and the others. The woman breathed in behind the mask and then breathed out, expelling a large noxious stream of vile purple fog. The poison spread out rapidly to cover a wide area as it surged towards the group, anything it touched seemed to boil and melt away.

Marco shot out to meet the incoming poison, arms transforming into blue flames that extended out. The wings expanded to encompass the incoming noxious wave meeting it head-on. The two forces collided, the poison seeped through the blue flames eating away at them and attacked Marco. Poison flowed into Marco's body as he retreats, veins turning dark purple. Blue flames burst forth from Marco's body destroying the poison as he was restored to full health.

Jozu charged forward to meet the woman, body transforming into diamond, "Kaposhon Nakkuru (Cabochon Knuckle)!" The commander punched out with his right fist; the entire arm was encased in diamond as it expanded before turning black inside, combining Busoshoku Haki with his devil fruit powers.

The purple robed woman sneered behind her hood, a long light purple scale-covered tail extended out from beneath the robe, coated in Busoshoku Haki. The tail impacted against the fist creating a shockwave that sent both combatants skidding backwards. A dozen blood covered roots shot out from behind the woman, coming down from above towards Jozu with the intent to impale him.

Roses appeared around Jozu as Vista appeared in mid-air, blades slashing out into the oncoming roots, the sabres covered in Busoshoku Haki, slicing through them with ease. The roots seemed to manipulate as more grew from the severed pieces twisting towards Vista. The swordsman retreated as he slashed away hacking the roots. A root pierced through Vista's offence and into his right shoulder. Blood trickled from the wound only to be sucked up by the root; Vista could feel his blood being absorbed, quickly slashing down with a sword Vista sliced the root off and retreated. The root left in his shoulder fell out, wiggling around before shrivelling up and dying.

The sliced roots retreated back under the robe of the red hooded figure who simply stared with emerald eyes. The purple hooded woman retreated over as the three hooded beings stared towards the commanders and Whitebeard.

"Go!" The red hooded figure shot forward joined by the others as the three charged towards Whitebeard and his commanders. From the red hood figure many tree roots shot out each dripping with blood, the void opened up from the one in black as darkness swept out and from the purple one in a thick volatile poison gas exhaled outwards.

The Whitebeard Commanders and Yonko didn't cower as they shot forward to meet them. Whitebeard went up the middle giving a swing of his massive bisento breaking the world, Marco came from above legs transforming into talons as he clawed down, Jozu charged up from the right punching with a giant diamond fist and Vista went up the left swinging his swords creating a storm of rose petals.

After

Panting was heard as two sides stood at opposite ends of the Moby Dick. The Whitebeard Commanders looked worse for wear. Jozu's right arm was covered in blood with multiple puncture wounds and armour torn apart. Vista's swords were cracked and decaying, his cloak torn, moustache wrecked and body bleeding from multiple places. Marco looked better than his fellow commanders, bruises over his body, blood dripping down the right side of his face and clothes torn. Whitebeard stood behind him, blood trickling down both sides of his face, coat was torn, and bisento cracked with a large hole in his right shoulder but the wound didn't go all the way through. On the other side was the robed figures, a large pool of black blood forming beneath them, their hooded cloaks torn, but didn't reveal any of their identities. The deck of the Moby Dick was battered, littered with shrivelled up roots, as parts of it had rotted away.

Munashi took up a spot between the other two, cloak expanding outwards wrapping around them, "We'll meet again Whitebeard!" The distorted voice sounded weak from the battle; the hooded figure stumbled slightly with their movements revealing their injuries were more severe than what could be seen. The cloak pulled the two in as the three were sucked into a black void disappearing.

The three commanders freely collapsed onto the deck, exhausted, they hadn't expected the three to be so strong. Whitebeard had fought with them, but they still had only fought to a draw. It wasn't because the three were on the level of a Yonko, but Whitebeard held back so not to destroy the Moby Dick. If Newgate had let loose, he probably would have killed the three intruders without worry, but Whitebeard had to hold back so not to injure his children.

The three hooded figures were probably as strong if not slightly stronger than the three commanders. The problem was their abilities; they were just far too weird and hard to combat.

"Pops what now-yoi?" asked an exhausted Marco, staring back at his Captain.

Whitebeard collapsed onto his chair, ordering a barrel of sake to be brought to him, "Rest. Whoever they are, they are not to be underestimated. Whoever they are, they don't want us interfering with the war between Uzushio and the Big Mom Pirates." Whitebeard grunted as a barrel was brought over; picking it up the man began to skull it. As he drank a pair of women in nurse's outfits began to tend to his wounds, other nurses assisted the three commanders.

"Will we still help Uzushio?" Asked Vista as he examined the damage to his swords, the damage couldn't be repaired; he would have to acquire new ones.

"Gurararara! Of course! A couple of Gaki's (Brats) wet behind the ears won't scare me off!" Whitebeard roared with laughter, revealing his intentions to help Uzushiogakure still. "Set course for Uzushiogakure no Sato!" ordered Whitebeard, nobody would stop him once he had made a decision. Even if every Marine blocked his way, Whitebeard would push forward to lend his assistance.

A black void opened up as the three hooded figures in black, red and purple appeared. The three collapsed onto what would be their knees, coughing up black coloured blood. In the room were ten other figures each wearing a coloured hooded robe that hid their appearance. Of the ten, nine stood before a large throne, as the tenth sat open it dressed in a golden hooded robe obscuring all their features.

"Looks like Whitebeard gave you trouble, how embarrassing." A haughty female voice echoed out from a figure wearing a navy blue hooded cloak, the woman spoke with a seductive tone. The woman gave a snickering laugh as a pair of turquoise coloured eyes looked down at them, this earned a glare from all three.

"Thought you said you could handle the Whitebeard Pirates with just the three of you, foolish. I knew I should have joined you. If I had, I could have picked up your slack and killed Whitebeard!" Boasted a hooded figure in orange, the tone was deep, masculine, arrogant and prideful. A pair of pink eyes glowed behind the hood.

"You wouldn't have done any better. Whitebeard would have crushed you between his palms." A female figure in carmine red rebuked the one in orange, a pair of teal hues shimmered as they looked at the one in orange with disdain.

The one in orange turned and glared at the woman stomping up to her, "Oh yeah, want to try me, bitch!" A powerful heat erupted from beneath the robe, as the man beneath it glared daggers at the woman. The one in carmine red snorted in amusement before an even stronger heatwave erupted from her body with enough force it knocked the one in orange backwards.

A hooded figure in davy grey took a step forward, and a powerful oppressive aura slammed down on all of them, with the exception of the one in gold. Darkness swept out from the man as a gravitational force weighed down upon them, as the man in davy grey released an evil aura, spoking in a demonic and sinister voice, "ENOUGH! You are before Father. Behave!" The one spoke before turning to face the one in gold, their father and bowed. The others all bowed quickly; the wounded three joined them. "Forgive them, Father, they forgot their place!"

The golden figure raised an open hand, moving it through the air before it came back down. The figure hadn't spoken, using simple body language to forgive their actions. The group released a sigh of relief. The golden figure raised their other hand before it formed a clenched fist and a powerful will flowed out towards them. The will didn't hurt them but conveyed the beings thoughts to them.

"As you wish Father. Munashi, Akuhei, Tasatsu head to the medical bay. Make your reports after." Commanded the one in davy grey, appearing to be the leader of the group. The three injured figures bowed and departed from the room leaving the rest behind. The one with the demonic voice turned back to their Father. "What now Father? Whitebeard will surely lend his assistance to Uzushiogakure."

The golden figure took a deep breath and released a strange sound from their lips that shook the entire room. "Leave, him, be" Three words were conveyed but there was a powerful might behind them, it was as if a God sat before them, "Whitebeard is not our concern, for now."

"Of course Father. We must focus our efforts to destroy the Nidaime Rikudou no Sennin (Second Sage of Six Paths). If left on his own, he will soon discover the history of the past, and eventually you. We cannot allow that." The only one to continue speaking was the one in davy grey; all the others remained kneeling, heads bowed in silence.

A cloaked hand-waved through the air, as an aura of amusement radiated from the golden figure, "The Sage is inconsequential. We have long since been preparing for his return. He is not a threat." the golden figure spoke his voice on of a higher authority that commanded the attention of everyone who heard it. The figure was exceedingly confident in his schemes and plans that had gestated for many years.

"But Father, should we really assume so? The Sage should not be underestimated!" The one in Davy Grey spoke up looking up towards his father before back down. A powerful pressure of will crashed down onto the hooded figure pushing them into the ground forcing an indent.

"I repeat the Sage is inconsequential. If he becomes a threat, he shall be eliminated. We shall not speak of this again!" The Golden figure spoke in an authoritarian voice, pressing the fact the matter was never to be brought up again. A sense of deep-seated hatred was released from the figure at the mere mention of the Sage, and they no longer wished to speak of him.

"A...A...As you wish Father." Said the one in davy grey, black blood trickling from his lips as he struggled to speak.

"Leave!" Commanded the golden robe figure towards their 'children'. The nine bowed and left leaving the figure on their own.

Once the nine had left the room, the figure began to shake. The being released a deep laughter that echoed out through the room before it stopped abruptly and a cold voice spoke out, "Uzumaki Naruto, do you intend to be a thorn in my side once more?"

The thought of a previous failed experiment the gold being created came to the mind, an experiment that had gone against him, rebelling to stop the beings plans. Only to perish, but their will had lived on and was a constant source of annoyance for the golden figure.

A pair of yellow eyes reflected inside the hood, revealing a murderous gaze. The eyes glowed vibrantly as a powerful will erupted from the figure's body, creating cracks in the throne they sat upon. The will lashed out at everything around the being shattering the floor. A pair of hands clenched the arms of the throne with enough force they broke; debris hit the ground as a strong aura of hatred released from the man's body. The figure relaxed as they leaned back into the chair, releasing the grip on the arms, the hatred disappearing as a sinister white smile could be seen.

"Show me how you'll try to change the world that I created!"

A sinister laughter filled the room.
