Prompt 34: Fall
It was a long drop, definitely. It would kill him, surely. Certainly. Yep.
So he should back away from the edge.
But if he moved, wouldn't the ice crack more?
He really shouldn't have climbed all the way up there. It was dangerous. But he had wanted to see the view, of course.
He really was an idiot.
Terran inched back, tensing at the crackling sound beneath his seal-skin boots. Ominous. Dangerous. Deadly.
Another step, a louder crack.
He thought of leaping back. He did. Safe!
He slipped on the ice, and without traction slid back toward the dangerous part. It broke under his weight.
It was a long fall.
