We return to Lanayru with our vessel of light filled up completely. I become a wolf again and Link becomes a Hylian. Lanayru takes on his full form, looking like a big snake with a ball in his mouth. Wow... He'll probably have a hard time speaking like that...
"Heroes chosen by the goddesses... Thank you for restoring my light..." Lanayru says, "There is something I must tell you."
Much to my surprise, he is talking very clearly!
"There was a time, long ago, that a golden power called the Triforce..." Lanayru begins.
"Wait! Faron already told me this story!" I cry out.
Obviously, I do not wish to relive that story. It frightened me enough the first time! Lanayru stops before he can pull Link and I into the void.
"What?! Faron stole my job?!" Lanayru asks, looking offended.
"This is the story about the Fused Shadow, isn't it?" I ask.
"Yes... DARN THAT FARON! ALWAYS STEALING MY JOB!" Lanayru screeches.
Link looks concerned. He didn't have to see the story unfold so he has no clue what is going on.
"Go then, young heroes! Go find the last piece of Fused Shadow if you dare! It is hidden in the Lake Bed Temple!" Lanayru says, retreating into the water.
"Well, that was odd..." Midna comments.
Link and I nod in agreement.
"How and why did this get mixed up?" I ask.
"Nobody knows," Midna says, sighing and yawning, "Well! Before we head to the Lake Bed Temple, there are some things we need to take care of in town... Ilia, Prince Ralis... So on and so forth!"
"Okay! Let's get started then!" I say, wagging my tail.
Oh how I missed having a tail!
