Chapter 35- Despair

"I'm so sorry." Hunter said to Zoro as they walked through the unfamiliar streets, neither of them were sure where the rest of the crew would be.

"What for?" He asked.

"I have been so useless lately, I used to be so strong, I could protect myself, but lately, I… I've become weak."

Zoro stopped in his tracks and grabbed Hunter's arm, pulling her back, slightly aggravated, he spoke again. "Don't you ever say you are weak, you are one of the strongest people I know."

"You're just saying that to make me feel better." She shouted, pulling her arm away from him, "I am weak, you know it too, why else would you want to train me!"

"I want to train you because I care about you." Zoro had lost his patience now, "What is wrong with you?"

Hunter looked stunned at what he had said, she took a few steps back, spun on her heels and sprinted off, going wherever her legs took her. Zoro remained behind, knowing she needed space, but regretting what he had said.

"You apologise, but in fact it's my fault." He said to himself.

Hunter ran despite the pain in her legs, the many years on the run gave her immense stamina, but her two years of easy sailing had taken a toll on her fitness. She would have kept running despite the pain if she hadn't collided with someone.

Robin, who was now on the floor after the forceful collision, looked to see what had happened. She saw a puffy eyed, terrified, Hunter. Nobody was chasing her, but she wasn't with anyone either, Robin feared that something had happened to Zoro, but her mid changed when Hunter began to speak.

"He… He yelled… at me… He told me… told me that there was something wrong with me… just… just like they used to do."

Robin didn't have to be a genius to know what Hunter was crying about, she had witnessed enough of Zoro and Sanji's fights to know how impatient Zoro could be. She didn't say anything to the girl, instead she helped her stand up and gave her a hug. She could feel Hunter calming down and felt relieved.

She took the girl with her on her search for the poneglyph, "Do you want to talk?" She asked.

Hunter paused for a moment, then nodded, "I would really appreciate it."

Robin smiled, and Hunter began to explain what happened earlier that day. She understood Hunter's story, as she had experienced something similar herself throughout her life. "It's funny," Robin said to Hunter's shock, "That the people who make you happiest can bring back the worst of memories. Trust me when I say this, Zoro is probably regretting everything he said right now, but you know better than I do how much of a hot head he can be."

Hunter laughed at Robin's statement, "Thank you, it means a lot." Hunter said, "But I still want to hit him."

It was Robins turn to laugh. "If you want help let me know."

Hunter was happy, but she realised she shouldn't be, her expression quickly changed once again. "Robin, have you seen Yuu? There's something I have to do…"

"No I haven't, but… what is it you need to do, if you don't mind me asking."

"At first glance, it looks as though Yuu is going crazy, but that's not what has happened, he didn't have the best experience these past two years, that experience formed an alter-ego within him."

"How are you going to change that?" Robin asked.

"He has told me ever since we got back, that if anyone was to kill him, he wants it to be me. But I have been thinking what if I can just kill his alter-ego?"

"But it'll be dangerous."

"I know, and I can't guarantee that my theory is right, which is why if I'm wrong I am still granting a last wish for him."

"Hunter."

"I know, I could die in the process, but I have to do this."

Robin sighed, "You're just as stubborn as Zoro too, no changing your mind once it's set."

Hunter smiled, they remained in silence for the rest of the trip, taking in the exotic scenery. When they got there, Robin's expression hadn't changed, however Hunter gawked at their location. "A graveyard?"

Zoro tried to keep up with Hunter, but he soon lost sight of the tracks she had made, resting his elbows on his knees, he pressed his palms against his face. "Why am I so stupid?" He asked himself, "She was upset, I should have helped, but I just made everything worse."

He stood up, trudging towards what he thought was a town, "No use sulking about it, and blaming myself isn't going to bring Hunter back. Now, where the hell am I going?"

Yuu wasn't with the rest of crew when they arrived at Fishman Island, he just wanted to die, to stop the pain he giving his crew, but most of all he wanted to end the pain he was putting Hunter through. " He had tried earlier, to bring a sword to his chest, to end it all, but the ego took over at that time, stopping the blade. "Please Hunter, it really is up to you to save me, I wish it didn't have to come to this."

Chapter 35 down, I hope I am doing well, I was looking at my story and realised Hunter and Zoro got along too well, hence the argument. Don't worry I will fix things, hopefully have an intese fight scene soon. What does everyone think of the story so far? IS it good? Is it bad? Any advice?
