Blaine walked through the hospital doors, smiling with a cup of coffee in his hand.

"Ah. Dr. Anderson." said Dr. Romano in his snarky voice. He looked at his watch. "Decided to show up on time today?" he asked.

Blaine smirked. "Only for you sir." he replied, making his way into the doctor's lounge.

"Hey Blaine." said Quinn.

"Hey." he replied, opening his locker and dumping his bag inside.

"How are the kids?" she asked.

Blaine nodded. "They're good, thanks."

Quinn smiled. "Hey, is everything ok?" she asked, worriedly.

Blaine turned to the young blonde. "It's just, I wish I didn't have to work so much while Kurt was out of town, you know?"

Quinn nodded, understanding.

"I want to spend more time with Lila and Cory." he continued.

Quinn placed a hand on Blaine's arm. "I understand. Let me know if there's anything I can do."

"Thanks Quinn." he replied, as he closed his locker and they both left the lounge.

Blaine walked up to the front the nurse's station.

"Tina!" he exclaimed. "What do you have for me this morning."

"You're in a good mood today." she replied.

"Yeah well, if I have to be here for 12 hours I might as well make the best of it." Blaine admitted.

Tina nodded. She grabbed a few charts from the rack. "Well, I've got a 15 year old with abdominal cramping, a 64 year old who fell out of bed and a 10 year old with asthma." she listed. "You're pick."

Blaine stifled a laugh. "Do I really have a choice?" he teased.

Tina shook her head. "No, but I thought you would like to have a few options."

Blaine shook his head as he grabbed the charts from Tina. "Come on Quinn, let's see who we can help today."

Quinn smiled happily, walking next to Blaine.

"Oh, Blaine. Wait." Tina stopped him.

"What is it?" Blaine asked.

"You have a new med-student coming in today." she started. "His name is..." she looked down at a note she wrote. "Mike Chang."

Blaine looked at Tina questioningly and just glared at him.

"No. We're not related." she replied quickly. "I don't know who this guy is."

Blaine held up his hands in defense. "Ok, ok. I wasn't going to say anything."

"Sure you weren't." Tina mumbled, as she continued her work.

Blaine and Quinn then went down the hall and into an exam room to see their first patient.

"Hello. I'm Dr. Anderson." he introduced himself. "And this is nurse Fabray."

"I'm Charlie." the man in the bed said. "And this is my wife Estelle."

"Charlie fell out of bed." Estelle shouted.

"You have to forgive her." said Charlie. "She doesn't have her hearing aids in."

Blaine nodded. "It's ok Charlie."

"Is he going to need surgery?" Estelle shouted.

"I'm not sure yet." said Blaine loud enough for her to hear.

"Estelle, why don't you sit down, while Dr. Anderson examines your husband?" Quinn suggested.

Estelle reluctantly sat in the chair in the corner of the room.

Once Estelle was seated, Blaine began to examine Charlie.

"All right Charlie. I'm going to send you up for some x-rays and then we'll go from there." Blaine stated.

"Thank you Dr. Anderson." Charlie replied.

Blaine nodded as he and Quinn left the room and went to the next patient.

"Who's next?" Quinn asked.

Blaine looked down at his chart. "Amanda Storm. 10 year old with asthma." he admitted, making his way into the next room.

"Amanda?" he asked and noticed the young girl who having trouble breathing.

Blaine walked over to her. "How long has this attack been going on?" he asked.

"Too long." an older lady next to the bed responded.

"I'm sorry, who are you?" Blaine asked, politely.

"I'm Betty. I'm Amanda's grandmother." she introduced herself. "She has an inhaler, but it's empty and we don't have anymore." Betty explained. "And I can't get the another from the pharmacy because the refill isn't until next month."

Amanda showed Blaine her inhaler.

"Ok Amanda. Just try and relax." Blaine instructed. He could tell Amanda was scared. "Amanda I want you to do something for me." he started, close your eyes and pretend you're floating on a cloud."

Amanda began to close her eyes and relax.

Betty watched at how calm Blaine was with her granddaughter.

"That's it." said Blaine softly, as he stuck his stethoscope in his ears. As he was listening to her lungs, he told Quinn what tests and medicines he wanted to give the young girl.

"Ok." Blaine began, as he took the stethoscope out of his ears. "I'm going to give you some medicine that should make feel better."

Amanda opened her eyes and nodded. "Then...I'll be...able...to breathe." she wheezed.

Blaine smiled. "Yes." he reached for the clipboard Quinn was holding. "And I'm also going to prescribe you some more inhalers, so this won't happen again." he continued, scribbling on the clipboard.

Betty smiled. "Thank you Dr. Anderson."

Blaine smiled back at the older woman. "It's no problem."

"You're very good with my granddaughter." said Betty.

"Thank you." Blaine continued.

"Do you have children Dr. Anderson?" the older woman asked.

Blaine blushed. "Umm..."

"Actually, Dr. Anderson is taking care of his boyfriend's two children." Quinn answered for him.

Blaine glared at the blonde nurse.

"Oh. That's sweet of you." Betty gushed.

Blaine smiled.

"If you don't mind me asking, why are you here and not at home watching them?" Betty asked, being slightly nosey.

"Well, he was supposed to be off today, but our boss made him come in today." Quinn replied for him again.

"Quinn!" Blaine exclaimed. "I'm sure Mrs. Storm doesn't want to hear every detail of my life."

Quinn shrugged her shoulders. "Sorry." she apologized.

"Who's your boss dear?" Betty insisted.

"I'm going to go get these orders in and I'll be back in a little bit to check on you." he smiled at Amanda as he left the room.

When Blaine was out of the room, Quinn whispered something to Amanda's grandmother before following him.

Blaine went up to the nurse's desk to grab a few more charts.

"Hey, are you ok?" Quinn asked.

"Why would you tell a patient's grandmother about my personal life?" Blaine exclaimed.

"I'm sorry. But I thought what she was saying was sweet." Quinn replied.

Blaine shook his head. "Well I would appreciate it if you didn't tell all of my patients about my personal life." he insisted.

Quinn nodded. "You're right and I'm sorry." she apologized.

Blaine smiled. "Thank you." as he grabbed a few more charts and walked away.

After getting Amanda's test results back, Blaine went back to check on the young girl.

"How are you feeling?" Blaine asked, as he entered her exam room.

Amanda smiled. "I feel a little better and I can breathe again." Blaine smiled as he walked over to the side of the bed. "You look better." he replied as he began to check her lungs again. "And you sound better too."

"Does that mean I can go home now?" Amanda asked.

Blaine laughed. "Yes. I think I'll be able to send you home."

Quinn walked in and picked up Amanda's chart.

"Are you discharging her?" Quinn asked.

Blaine nodded. "Make sure you fill these prescriptions and follow up with your primary care doctor." Blaine explained.

"Thank you so much Dr. Anderson." Betty thanked him.

The door to the exam room opened again and in rolled Dr. Artie Abrams.

"Blaine, you paged me?" Artie asked.

Blaine looked down at the other doctor sitting in the wheelchair. "Yeah. Just give me one minute please." he insisted.

Artie nodded.

"Dr. Anderson, you've done so much to help my granddaughter. I would like to help you in return."

Blaine shook his head. "That's really not necessary."

"No!" Betty exclaimed. "I would like to talk to your boss so you can go home and take care of those kids."

"What is she talking about?" Artie asked, curiously.

"I'll tell you later." Blaine whispered.

"You know, if you want to talk to our boss," Quinn started. "He's right over there." she pointed to where Dr. Romano was standing at the nurse's station.

"What's his name?" Betty asked.

"Dr. Romano." Quinn replied.

"Grandma. Please don't." Amanda pleaded, before Betty left the room to talk to Dr. Romano.

"Where is she going?" Blaine asked, confused.

Amanda sighed. "She's probably going to talk to your boss."

Blaine's eyes went wide. "Quinn! She's going to get me fired!"

Amanda shook her head. "No she won't. Don't worry." she started. "Grandma does stuff like this all the time, but she doesn't do it to get people hurt. Only to help people. Kind of like you do Dr. Anderson." she smiled up at Blaine.

A few minutes later, Betty came back in the room with Dr. Romano following her.

"Dr. Anderson." he started. "Mrs. Storm just told me what a wonderful job you've been doing with her granddaughter."

Blaine nodded. "Yes sir."

"She also told me that you are have two young children to take of. Is that true?" Dr. Romano asked.

Blaine nodded again. Unsure of whether he should speak or not.

"We'll it has come to my attention that you need to go home and be with them until your partner gets back."

Blaine gasped. "Th..Thank you. Thank you very much Dr. Romano."

"Finish up with your patients, sign them out and I'll see you when you get back." Dr. Romano finished, as he turned around and left the room.

Blaine broke out in a grin.

"Mrs. Storm, what did you say to him?" Blaine asked.

Betty shrugged her shoulders. "I just said that they're are many people that are single parents and need time to take care of their children." she stated.

Blaine shook his head.

"And I may have said that if he didn't let you have time off I told him that when my son graduates med-school for him not to come here for his internship." she continued.

Everyone else in the room began to laugh.

"After that he quickly agreed to let you have the time off." Betty finished.

Once Blaine had signed out all of his patients, he left the hospital. He called Mercedes to let her know that he would be home earlier than planned.

There you go. I hope you liked it. But don't worry Blaine isn't fired. LOL. So please leave me a review, along with a follow and favorite. Thanks so much and I will see you later.
