Hey guys. I know it's been a long while, and I know there's a good chance no one is even reading this right now. But I told myself I was going to finish this, and so if there is someone reading this, I hope you enjoy.

She pulls another face at her baby sister

and smiles when Neha laughs.

Now that she's one and a half,

Natara doesn't think she's so bad.

Or,

at the very least,

she's glad she doesn't cry all night anymore.

Neha grabs a fistful of her hair and tugs,

and Natara laughs with her.

She scoops Neha up

and spins fast around her room,

just how Neha likes it.

A soft thud catches her attention

and she quickly pick of the fallen buddha figurine off the floor,

and replaces it on her desk.

High school.

She hopes she doesn't need the luck.

He splutters as Heather splashes him in the face,

but recovers quickly and splashes her back.

He's looking forward to this summer

especially since Heather has a pool.

(And also especially because he has a friend.)

His excitement builds.

Middle school is finally over.

Thank God.

He feels certain he won't miss it.

High school was going to be so much better.

who smiles back at him.

"Close your eyes,"

It's slow, and warm

and quiet.

It's almost sort of nice

in a weird way.

It's his first kiss

and it's all wrong.

He pulls away.

"I'm sorry,"

he says.

Heather looks upset

only for a moment

then shrugs.

"It's okay,"

she says.

And he knows she only sort of means it.

But as nice as she is,

She's not Natara.

And it didn't feel right to him.
