I had to write a report on why a certain city should host the Olympics, I got Madrid so here's that in a summation

There comes a time when world meetings occasionally serve a purpose that makes countries genuinely care, and that was the Olympics. It didn't matter what crisis was happening or who was having a war, almost every country could sit down and deliberate who got to host it.

The 2020 Olympics came down to three finalists; Turkey, Spain, and Japan. Today, rather than have a normal meeting they would pitch to the IOC on why they should get to host it.

Each of them had a different campaign to support their cause, Japan's was no room for error.

"As you can see from this chart, Tokyo is currently unlikely to experience an earthquake. That combined with my low crime rates and well maintained stadiums from the last time I have held the Olympics makes there to be little room for risk." Japan was smart and played on the IOC's weakness, safety.

"Japan, nominate yourself to host the Olympics at every opportunity." Germany stated, looking through the records. "You have already hosted it four times, two of those times were in Tokyo."

"Yes but look at this design I made for the logo." He presented the design to Germany, holding it out to him with both hands. Germany took it and examined it, Italy looked over his shoulder.

"Pretty flowers." Italy responded.

"Anyway, it's Turkey's turn." Japan closed his slide show and sat down, Turkey taking his place with a slide show of his own. His main point was that it was something new.

"So there's never been an Olympic game in the Middle East, and that's kind of messed up, right?" Turkey was also pulling a very start move, targeting Germany's weakness in particular, his deeply rooted fear of inequality. "And I was thinking that maybe I should be the one to debut it. A lot of people have never been to my house before and trust me, I'm pretty amazing."

"You want to host it in Istanbul even though there's a lot of protests happening." Greece mentioned.

"You shut up! You're just jealous that I'm a finalist when you can't even be a candidate!" He snapped back at him.

"Well if it weren't for my mom, you wouldn't even have the Olympics." Greece retorted, sounding vaguely more awake now.

"If you're so hung up on not getting credit for things you or your mom invented then why don't you go off and star in a production of Oedipus Rex with your mother's corpse as Jocasta!"

In that moment everyone knew that Turkey had just opened Pandora's box.

Once Greece and the broken remains of the table were removed from the room and Turkey had secured an ice pack it was finally Spain's turn.

The nation walked up to the front of the room and put his poster in view. It said "Give me money" below it was "I'll take my shirt off" and "please"

"The recession hit me hard." He said very calmly.
